Description: Chris is a man of average height, he is funny but not memorable, handsome but nondescript.

His athletic build fills his black and gold costume well, the black and gold cape aiding him in his snooping for a case.

Power Descriptions: Chris's powers allow him to channel pure kinetic energy into an object causing it to explode when it strikes a solid surface. Doing so leaves the object glowing faintly blue.

History: As a teen, Christopher Wells was already an accomplished thief, sneaking into the homes of the upper class and pilfering high quality jewelery and light electronics. Things that were easily liquidated without too many questions.

That is, until he tried to slip past the security of a business man who had left his super-heroic past behind him for a life of number crunching. Chris was charged with breaking and entering, sentenced and would have served the full term if he hadn't started pulling newspaper articles and sending tips to the police from the details released to the media and what he could gather online. He was pulled for a work release program six months early where he consulted for law enforcement and helped put several criminals behind bars.

Personality & Motivation: Christopher still has a hard time not palming jewelry and other valuables left out while on a scene but after helping the FBI and later the FCPD catch several criminals in the are, he found he liked using his skills for good. Shortly thereafter he set about getting a private investigator's license.

Powers & Tactics: Chris has had nearly no formal training in combat and is at his best when he can observe and strike from the shadows or when he can catch an opponent off guard.


Reputation: Criminal record. Chris was, for a couple years, a 'guest' within the federal corrections system.

An Uncommon Power Loss gives a 1PP discount, not 2PP. So you're 1PP overbudget.

Other than that, the numbers are fine. Fix the minor point discrepency, and I'll get you your first approval.

Just keep in mind that the Side-Effect has as many points to work with as the power without the flaw. So that's a 15PP Fatigue effect (more if you count power feats). That's rank 7, a DC17 Fort save with his +6. If we count power feats, it goes up to rank 9 (DC19). Go ahead and try it out, but I won't be surprised if we see an edit request from you next month.


Why waste 1PP on a second rank of Master Plan when he has no ranks in Knowledge (Tactics)?

Is there a size or mass limit to the objects he can charge up? If not, consider a Strike AP, possibly Limited (Objects), that lets him touch a bigger object and blow a piece off of it.

With the leftover EP, consider adding another rank of Super-Movement to the grapple-gun, like Safe Fall or Wall-Crawling.
