As all but one of the SUV's rolled to a halt, or some crashed into something now that the power steering was kaput, the drivers' attention was again focused on Blueshift. Drawing their guns, they opened fire at Blueshift. One of them had enough presence of mind to have the witty retort of "$%^& we got real bullets!" It's a shame there aim was real too... real bad. Blueshift's shield only had to deflect a single bullet. As it turned out, firing a gun gangsta style made the sights on top of the gun rather useless. It's almost like the people who invented and refined the gun knew what they were doing.

Meanwhile, the lone gun trafficker still in a functioning vehicle, peeled out of the docks, hoping to put as much distance between him and the heroes as possible, frequently checking his mirrors to make sure he wasn't being followed.
