The 4 men in the van sat quietly, four suitcases next to each of them, hooked to their arms through a pair of handcuffs. "This guy has the stuff, right?" One asked to his compatriots, his voice relaxed, but strict. "Yeah Yeah, it's the Hollow Man's stuff, alright. He got it from where ever he gets that crazy armor of his, but it's high quality alright. One for each of us." a different one responded. The driver snorted, pulling the van to a stop near an Alley. "Let's go." He said, opening his door and sliding out, his suitcase in his hand. The others, a woman and two men, all rather unremarkable and plain, followed, sliding out of the door and and stepping into the Alley. The money was illgotten, of course, and had paid for their items, the final payment was to be delivered today, and they would actually get their items.

Entering the alley, a small man in a three piece suit greeted them, four suitcases stationed behind him at intervals of two steps. His hands were behind his back, and he smiled at them. "So good you showed up. If you would place the cases here, I will count them." He gestured to the ground in front of him. The suitcases were piled up, and opened, then the money counted. Over 5 million dollars, and he grinned. "Very good. Take the suitcases and open them next to your chest, they're the armor themselves." He explained, gathering the five suitcases and walking away, taking the car as well.

The four people grabbed the cases and opened them at their chest level. Quickly they were covered head to toe in the Armor, or the men were. For some reason, the Woman's armor kept her face uncovered, gave her high-heels, and was, as a whole, oddly skimpy. She seemed annoyed. "This is stupid." She barked, examining her armor closer. "What is it with these stupid armors, not everyone can be a beautiful girl!" The woman screamed, hitting multiple buttons on her suit. Because she was dressed under it, it didn't really reveal anything, but it was still annoying to her. After a few mishaps of the suit getting even worse- seriously, who was wearing something this small and could pull it off!?- before it finally turned into a full suit of armor like the men's. It took about 20 minutes, but, after that long, the four, suits of armor, completely indistinguishable from each other, and floated into the air, taking a few test shots at nearby buildings and reveling in their new powers. The armors were all a featureless gray, with several long, wire-like, strings running down them. The laughs were sickening as they blasted massive holes in buildings, lifted cars off the ground and dropped them from high up, and generally made a complete and utter wreck of the entire area just because they felt like it. The people got out fast, they were used to this stuff by this time, and had practiced their abandon ship protocols daily, so the group mainly took to destroying whatever they could find building wise.

Powerhouse had been wandering- man, that was all he did these days was patrol different areas, he supposed it was because he didn't have a set time or location, but whatever- around Greenbank on Patrol when four people running around shooting blasts of energy and causing general mayhem caught his eyes. Not that it was hard, with the massive light show and the cars flying through the air. Then again, it might have also been the people, who were escaping the damaged area as fast as possible, or it could have been when one of the suits flew by him, the two locking eyes- probably- for a time before it blasted off back to it's fellows, rockets streaming from it's feet and leaving Powerhouse in the dust. Cracking his Knuckles, the blue-eyed Powerhouse grinned, happy to get to try some of the stuff he had learned from that massive amount of Freedom Friends show that Knight had subjected him to for several hours. Crouching, his leg muscles propelled him after the flying suit of armor, leaping from Roof to Roof with a thud, then dashing to the edge of it and flying off it. As always, the Rookie hero loved the sensation of leaping through the air, something that no other person could ever tell him was bad. Big deal about flying, he could Jump, and it was way better!

Smashing into a rooftop one more time, Powerhouse slid to a stop at the edge, looking out over the four people flying along the sky and blasting things. He thought back really hard, then pointed his finger at one of them, having to move his finger so that it followed the person. "Stop! Foul Villain! You are under arrest for...." He stopped for a second and tried to count it out, but just gave up at 85. "a whole lot of counts of Destruction of Property! And any other crimes I can think of as I'm hauling you away! So get in the paddy Wagon and...uhh...I forget the rest!" He said, losing a head of steam rapidly and just giving it up at the end.

Dragonfly was in the middle of an experiment when her computer went off - not your normal alarm, but a full on red-alert-type warning that took immediate priority, turning every monitor in the warehouse into a map of the city with four large, angry red dots. Half a second to realize what was happening and less than a minute to grab her gauntlets and shift into her costume, leaving the rest of the minute to grab her motorcycle and leave. Some things were just more important than others.

Even considering that she didn't even have to leave her part of town, Dragonfly made pretty good time, pulling up less than a block away and folding her bike into her dimensional pocket before it even came to a full stop. A force field like a twisted outline an inch around her profile bent into being as she kept her momentum, marching up to maybe a quarter block away from the carnage, hand raised and gauntlet charged.

Setting her jaw as she surveyed the damage, Dragonfly called out in a voice that was all business and some barely-restrained fury: "Don't know who you are. Don't care. Have twenty seconds to remove the suits and surrender. NOT," she emphasized, space visibly twisting around the raised arm, "a negotiation."

"HEADS UP!"

A streak came flying down out of the sky, and with a sound akin to a dozen gongs ringing, what looked like an oversized hammer crashed into one of the battlesuits with thunderous force...once...twice! A whirlwind blow and the figure roared by, the wake of his passing putting the criminal into a spiral as he descended at a decidedly unsafe rate to the ground, and hit it in a cloud of dust and asphalt.

"Stick that up your tailpipe and smoke it!", a laughing voice roared.

The streak came to a halt right near Dragonfly. A familiar figure to her, a man in a brown longcoat with an oversized red scarf, black wool cap, and heavy work boots, hefting a hammer taller than she was. The bottom half of his face was obscured by the scarf, but twinkling eyes stayed fixed on the rather sizeable crater he'd made out of the ground. He pointed right at the crooks, his coat and scarf billowing dramatically in the backwash of his flight, snapping in the wind.

"Now THAT is how we do things in Gear City! You heard the lady, hand over the suits, punks, and I'll forget that you ruined my lunch!"

The Sensei of Shockwaves, the Kinetic King, the one and only Push had arrived!

The Crooks were enjoying their new-found power- this power, it was incredible! with it, they wouldn't be some silly BANK robbers, they'd be forces to be contended with by the Heroes themselves, and they'd win!- So they began by enjoying their new powers and really getting used to everything they could do. Then Some crazy guy jumped on a roof and started babbling to them. One of the men floated towards him, a smirk that couldn't be seen on his face as he prepared to punch the man. "Look here boy, you seem bit 'heroic'", the group shared a laugh before he continued. "So I'll warn you. We are about to murder you." He explained, preparing to blast him before some crazy chick appeared on the ground and started yelling at them.

This time, it was the female of the group who floated down and landed on the ground, standing several inches taller then Dragonfly and looking much more...mature, she put her hands on her hips and bent over. Though the armor was featureless and did not distinguish between male and Female, her actions made it obvious which one she was. "Listen, Little girl. Just run on home to mommy, before you get hurt. You look like some kid who broke into Daddy's playtoys and decided to go out trying to save the day." She finished, before a third one was hit out of the sky by a falling meteor and dropped into a crater in the ground near her. "What was that?" She barked, floating backwards and preparing for the next attack from the crazy man who apparently had the powers of 'falling really hard and not dying', and 'Swinging around massive hammers'

Push thumbed his nose at her, slinging his hammer over his shoulder with the ease and grace of a man who's done it a dozen times before.

"What was that? That was your worst nightmare, toots. That was a howling gale of force and solid metal that sent your compadre a good six, or probably more, feet underground. That is what I like to see, bad guys diggin' their own graves!"

He dropped the haft of the hammer, hearing the cement crack beneath the end of the handle as it hit the ground, his hand grasping the handle near the top.

"Drop the suit, and I won't use this oversized can opener to peel you outta there. Not like it would take me long, I cut my teeth on two-bit hoods like you back home. You're the one outta the nursery, sweetcheeks, thinkin' you can play in the big leagues thanks to some back-alley tech."

Push laughed again as the torrent of snark flowed from his mouth, gauging her reaction and visibly charging kinetic energy into the hammer again, the same blow that had crushed her comrade and sent him spiraling into the ground.

"This is Freedom City, love! The heroes here threw back Omega! They've thrashed demons, flattened the undead, and squash no-account thugs like you every day before breakfast! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!"

The woman behind the armor stared at the crazy idiot with an unseen mix of confusion and half-fear. This creature could knock a guy in powered armor out of the sky and flat into the ground, but he also appeared to be utterly insane.

"Alright, look crazy, that was nice and everything, but then again, you said 'they are' then 'who do you think *we* are', which means you somehow claimed to be both not a part of the group, while not being part of the group. So really, you should work on your noun agreement, then it could really be a good taunt." She said, offering him pointers before answering the question. "As for what you are, I'll answer that. You are an escaped insane asylum inmate, She is a 12 year old who stole a few costume parts from her dad's closet, though daddy is apparently a superhero, and the guy on the Roof is probably your roommate from the insane asylum."

Powerhouse was a bit slow, but not stupid, so when the first one floated over to him and said he was going to get murdered, he clenched his fist and grinned. Of course, when the crazy girl ran out of nowhere and attempted to get them to Stop, he realized he had to help the girl before she got hurt, and prepared to jump, but he stalled out as both him and his enemy watched a meteor drop from the sky and slam head-first into an opponent, then hit them again, dropping them into the ground, then talk to the other one. His thoughts were 'Huh, Mr. Victory must have a partner.' as the person rambled off, like he was the classic 'bad cop' if Mr. Victory was the 'good cop', then shrugged and launched himself off the building at the Armored person nearest him, and punched him across the face.

The two fell into the ground as Powerhouse delivered a massive hook to the other guys face, sending him into the Concrete as Powerhouse stood directly over him. "With the addition of two other Heroes, I suppose I can just beat you all up and put you in jail instead of trying to make you surrender. Then again, if they end up being Villains and this is a turf war, I'm in trouble." He noted, grinning "Hello." Powerhouse said, turning to the two new people. "I'm Powerhouse, who are you?"

Dragonfly was not exactly thrilled at being belittled by a woman in a - in her power suit. She was far, far less thrilled still to see Push show up. reassess priorities - recover suits - avoid Push - maximum effect for minimum force The urge to shoot Push first was awfully tempting - probably safer that way - but maybe he'd be useful. Hopefully he'd be useful. ...he'd better be useful. Her scowl deepened.

Silently, fearlessly closing the distance to the much larger, power-suited woman, Dragonfly looked her straight in the face, made a fist, and went to punch the woman in the stomach...and stopped short, a blade of neon-blue-tinted, twisted reality forming about an inch from her hand and shooting straight up through the woman, piercing through to the other side without visibly harming anything in between. The edges where it intersected her were fragmented, though, and she cursed, space twisting around her as she vanished into a distortion and popped back out on the other side of the fight, some 70 feet from the nearest enemy.

made those suits too well - readjust - need a new strategy

Push was rather quick on the uptake. He was also rather ashamed to realize he'd just landed right in front of Dragonfly. And the last time he'd met her...she'd wound up out cold on a warehouse floor. Eeeh...though admittedly she was also quite quick to react, nearly shanking that loudmouthed battlesuit...except something went wrong. Then she vanished.

Wow. First time I haven't pissed someone off right out the gate. Plan B? Plan B.

Plan B wasn't all that complicated. Generally Plan A consisted of a torrent of taunts in the hopes of drawing them off-guard, or (at best) getting them to surrender. That was generally the hard part. Plan B was if that went awry, which was actually more often than you'd think. Plan B usually consisted of him hitting the enemy as hard as he could, as often as he could, until they decided to give up. Bad guys were funny that way, they never seemed to realize ahead of time that they were outmatched even when one of their homies got planted into the ground.

All these ran through Push's head in a few seconds as he launched himself forward, boots thudding into the ground as he reared back with the hammer and threw a look Powerhouse's direction.

"Name's Push, buddy! And this here's why!"

The hammer swung, a kinetic pre-charge warping around the buisness end, connecting with the still-somewhat disoriented battlesuited woman. The sheer force blew right past the force field, connecting with her midsection and sending her flying off, shot like a ball from a cannon. The backwash from the strike whipped a huge wind up behind him, air rushing to fill the gap the woman had just rapidly vacated, and causing his coat and scarf to billow even further. Fortunately, Push had taken the liberty of deliberately aiming for a nearby wall, ensuring the suit would not end up way out of his reach. Some new armor plating for the bike would be damned useful, and Dragonfly would likely appreciate being able to have a look at the tech behind 'em. He owed her that much, at least.

Well, that, and imagining the look on that snide frakker's face when she found herself being rung like a bell then slammed a good few feet deep through a wall put a smile on his face.

The woman easily took the blow from Dragonfly's hand, though her confusion at the woman disappearing left her open for Push to nail her into a building. Moaning, she fell from the building and landed on her butt, her legs splayed on front of her and her head lolling. The two men nailed into the street looked similar, though the one Powerhouse hit was struggling to pull himself out of his hole in an annoyed moan, completely incapable of focusing and moving at that time.

As the group was quickly and efficiently taken down by so many people over and over again, The only remaining one was also the smartest one, who was brilliant enough to realize that attempting to stand toe to toe with no less then three different Heroes while they had so easily taken out his compatriots was not something he wanted to do. His jets shooting up, he blasted straight into the air and away from the group. "Like I'm sitting here for this!" He roared, shooting away and laughing, leaving his friends alone, with nothing to do but wait for the Heroes to take them out.

"Frak!"

Push reslung the hammer on his shoulders, leaping up and feeling the familiar jets of kinetic force rush through his legs and push him off the ground. A cushion of warping air erupted under him, causing the wind to kick up beneath his feet and send small papers and dust clouds flying.

"You two keep these ones down, I'm going after the runner!"

And with that he turned on the gas, shooting off into the air as fast as he could go. The distance was far too wide, though, and the suit was going at nearly double the speed Push was going. In a few seconds, it'd be out of range. In desperation, he thrust his arm forward, charging a blast...

Lead the target, lead the target, lead the target...there!

And he flung the shot as hard as he could right across the scum's flight path...and missed. A torrent of curses flowed from his mouth as he watched the figure disappear into the sky, Push simply hanging there and trying not to plummet. He'd nearly drained his tank on this one.

Turning, he began to move backwards towards the war zone they'd made of the street. Not that it was hard to miss with those two craters in the street.

Powerhouse felt slightly confused at the man shooting off to attempt to attack a fleeing opponent- though not that it was a bad thing, just a bit odd when he had an opponent to fight right infront of him- and the other one who seemed to have the ability to teleport, but only at strange times, and as he brought his hand down on the guy who had been cruel to him, these thoughts distracted him enough that his punch missed, crashing into the pavement next to the man and causing pavement dust to float in the air. "Ms. Teleporting Lady, you never told me your name." He said, from somewhere in his massive pile of dust.

Dragonfly was quiet, for a moment, watching the one criminal take off into the air and get perused....by Push. She watched where they'd vanished, the little invisible point of sky where they must be, and saw...nothing.

The silence was finally broken when she, herself, broke out into a long string of curses. A couple different languages of curses, no less, containing enough cumulative foul words to make a boat full of sailors blush. Eventually, though, her attention turned back toward the remaining criminals; reality drew in around her again and she was suddenly right behind Powerhouse's playmate, the blade run right through his chest and poking out the front. She held it there for a moment before disappearing again, space folding up and dropping her back out some fifteen feet to Powerhouse's side.

"No," she finally commented, in a tone that, bottled, could stop global warming in its tracks. "I didn't. Dragonfly. I am, I mean."

With steadied practice of people who had done it time and time again with each other, the three moved into attack. While the one who was attacked by Dragonfly coughed a little, he seemed only slightly worse for wear, and the other two aided him in firing beams of white energy from their palms at Powerhouse. The one closest to Powerhouse flew wide, blasting into the building over him, while the other two hit the man's face and chest. The one that blasted his head seemed to do nothing, but the one on his shoulder caused a large purple bruise to show up on his right shoulder, and he grimaced, but his expression showed worse then the damage, as the bruise was only the size of his fist.

"What is this crap!?" One of the men asked, the one who Powerhouse and Dragonfly were standing over, as his blast went wide and hit the building. It rumbled.

"We can't even hurt them!" The girl screamed, attempting to shoot at the large man again, but only hitting the building. It Groaned.

"Retreat!" The last guy said, attempting to start up his boosters, but failing repeatedly.

The screaming was enough that the old building, and it was old, established on a wood foundation, but build of red brick, began to fall. The holes in the base, the old foundation, and a multitude of other things, all contributed to the first bricks sliding out of place, then the next ones, then the building itself falling off it's hinges, baring down on Powerhouse and Dragonfly. However, this was not all, as several people leaned from their windows- apparently they had either not noticed or didn't care that heroes were fighting- and began to scream for help.

The suits fell completely out of his mind as Push roared in, gunning the thrusters to max as he cleared the half-mile in what seemed like ages. The building was crumbling, bits and pieces falling all over, but the structure was still intact. He'd handled collapsed buildings before, but this one...Christ, that sucker was big. He threw up his arms, focusing every ounce of his body into channeling the raw kinetic energy that was bringing the structure down. For a moment, the building slowed...slowed...stopped...then something happened. The ersatz hero felt a shock of pain travel up his entire body, as if every cell was suddenly on fire. His concentration wavered and broke, and the building began to descend again, but in stutters. But each time it went down a little further, and a crushing weariness was setting in on his body.

"NonononononoNO!"

Refocusing...barely worked, but he felt the link fracture and fray. His face, under the scarf, grew panicked. He was out of juice. Completely drained. He'd been way too reckless, and now those civilians were going to pay the price. Any second now that link'd break and the whole place'd collapse! The sweat ran down his forehead as he threw everything he had left into at least delaying the thing.

"Oh hell...Dragonfly! Powerhouse! Get clear!"

After a handful of blasts to his face and chest, Powerhouse was a little bit groggy as the other blasts shot around his face and head. He was a little singed, but overall pretty coherent. So when the armored people began screaming, his attention went towards a brick that fell on his head. Turning around, he was still a bit confused until Push started yelling at him to move, and he turned to the building. "I don't....oh." He said, turning around and looking upwards. 'Yeah, that's pretty bad.' he thought to himself then rolled his shoulders and stuck out his hands. "Ms. Dragonfly, would you be so kind as to rescue those people? I believe me and Mr. Push can handle this." He said, walking towards the part of the building he judged as being close enough to the center for him to hold the entire thing, and, extending his hands upward, hoping the building was as light as he was assuming, prepared to catch it. His manner was all business like, completely different from the unsure way he was talking before, now that people were distinctly in danger. "Mr. Push, if you would be so kind as to lower the building to where I can touch it, I should be able to aid you in this problem." he said, smiling.

Dragonfly's gaze darted back and forth between the power-suited idiots and the building full of people, but she made a frustrated noise as she was compelled to err on the side of the latter. 'get clear' - PEOPLE in that building - enough blood on my hands what is wrong with you Reality folded in around her, and she reappeared in the air on the second floor, where she'd seen most of the people gather up.

Landing lightly on her feet, she ran forward to get as close to the center of the floor as possible, already charing her gauntlets and trying to be heard over the panic-inducing sound of crumbling building. "Can get you out of here, if you'll PLEASE remain calm and gather together! Pack in tight and grab one of my hands!" A chunk of brick fell out of the wall behind her, and she twitched, adding a terse, "Quickly, please."

The people were smart enough to listen to the woman who had randomly appeared in their falling building, rushing and grabbing at the woman's hands as much as possible. The group was at least somewhat intelligent, as they did not grab her hands, but instead placed single fingers upon it, so that everyone could touch her hands. This did not stop them from screaming that they needed to go, now, and panicking loudly as they did so. They might have been calm enough to get in line and foolish enough to not leave when people started blowing up buildings, but they wanted to leave, and now, meaning they were testy.

The group of armors grinned as they realized they had managed to distract the group of heroes, looking at one another. "Let's go, before they finish with that building and take us out." The one closest to Powerhouse said, blasting away with the rockets on his feet, kicking up some smoke, as the other two followed, all three a bit wobbly from the beating but knowing the direction they needed to go, bunching together and heading off as fast as they could, away from the distracted Heroes and towards where the first man had flown from. They flew fast, though not as fast as the other man had, due to injuries perhaps, but made enough of a respectable speed to attempt their get away

Push nearly facepalmed.

Powerhouse. Right. Name like that, of course he could lift a bloody building. Way to go, Quinn...

Then Dragonfly vanished, and he could hear her distinctive voice barking in the building. Collecting civilians, good on her. He'd only focused on the two most obviously in danger, while she'd seen the bigger picture. A sense of his own idiocy grew as he slowly lowered the building with what was left of his charge into Powerhouse's waiting arms, before turning and watching the battlesuits disappear into the sky.

"Damn their eyes...get back here!"

He shook his fist at the retreating figures...just before his jets cut out, and he rather unceremoniously fell on his arse.

Powerhouse was extremely calm as the building fell- he'd dealt with falling buildings before!- but he hadn't been expecting just how heavy it was, and his feet sunk a little into the pavement as his hands connected with the building and it groaned. "Heavy." He muttered, his fingers curling as he attempted to keep the building in place, his hands lifted over his head as he took very deep breaths. It was much. much. heavier then he had been expecting, and he was so focused on his task he couldn't even realize that the suited people had flown away. Even as he held it, some of the bricks were falling off and hitting the ground, and the blond hero was obviously straining with the effort, but the building managed to avoid moving. He grunted in pain and his feet were sunk into the ground, his arms extended completely and the muscles on his arms bulged, but the building stayed in the same spot- barely- as he held it. "Please Hurry and evacuate." He whispered, most of his effort focused on holding up the giant building in his hands, which were sinking into the brick.

Finally satisfied that no one was being left behind - only one attempt - Dragonfly's gauntlets flared, every seam and bit of glass lighting up neon blue as lines traced across the entire mass of civilians. It was far too late to let go now - as the lines moved across the group they started folding inward, collapsing into two vanishing points at the young woman's hands. It was a pretty neat spectacle, really, though unappreciated: from the group's perspective, the world around them was the one doing the folding, pulling together and opening up in a way human eyes really weren't meant to see.

In just a few seconds she was standing alone, and a second more she wasn't even in the building - she'd reappeared on the street, space folding up and spitting her out clear of the collapsing structure. Her gauntlets were complaining really, really loudly about that many live targets in 'storage' at once, but she tried to ignore it, swearing as she noticed that the area was conspicuously clear of enemies in power suits. Shaking her head and trying to focus, she started running to get as far from the soon-to-be-disaster-zone as possible.

Link to comment

The screaming off the people at the fact their entire world just folded up, then, suddenly, that they weren't where they were before was to be expected, but the majority of them were also smart enough to start running from the collapsing building, anyone who didn't run was grabbed by a person who was smart enough to run and save the screaming for later, as the group followed Dragonfly out of the way of the building. As they did, however, the building continued to groan, causing larger and larger bits of brick and glass to fall off it, shattering against the ground, though the building stalled at it's height. The group was safe, mostly, as the building finally gave a tremendous groan and collapsed off it's foundation. Though Powerhouse could hold it up, the building broke in half under pressure, falling apart in his hands as it fell down on top of him, sending massive waves of dust and dirt into the air with a massive crash, thick, choking waves enveloped the group, causing the non-powered group to start coughing and hacking in pain, and the waves of force as the pieces of the building hit the ground caused several of them to lose their footing and stumble away from the wreckage.

When the clouds cleared somewhat, though was still oppressively heavy and hard to see, there was no sign of the shirtless Hero, only massive pile of rubble, just barely avoiding the closest people to the crash with a few pieces of the shattered bricks and glass. From the foundation a water line had, obviously, ruptured, and a constant stream of water shot into the air from the pipe.

Link to comment

Push scrambled up the debris as the dust cleared, staring in all directions with a look of dismay.

"Powerhouse!"

A stream of coughing curses flowed from his mouth as he slid down the pile, looking hither and thither as he struggled to the midpoint of the collapse.

"Damnit...*koff*...this is my fault...Powerhouse, say something man! Where are you?!"

He reached where he thought he'd seen the shirtless hero take the building's weight, and began trying to shift the rubble in hopes of finding his newfound comrade.

Link to comment

Dragonfly winced as the building came down, glad she'd managed to get out of the way in time...and by extension, get her cargo out of the way in time. Speaking of her cargo, Dragonfly held her arms out, reality folding around itself as the denizens of the building - ex-denizens of the ex-building, now - twisted back into reality. "You're safe," she stated, rather redundantly. "Authorities will be on their way soon, if they haven't left already. Recommend you wait for medical response to show up, get yourselves checked for injuries, concussion, shock."

That, apparently, was good enough - she left the confused and disoriented civilians there in the street, jogging back to the pile of rubble and doing what she could to clear it out of the way; small bricks and chunks of stone got thrown off to the side, while larger pieces of wall and frame got folded into her dimensional pocket (she had to disable the warnings and alerts on her gauntlets, for that one - the little program that monitored these things was not awfully pleased by the stress this was putting on her systems). day has been bad enough already - do not need a killed hero no top of things - please
