History:

Daniel Farrell has no memory of his father. All he had were a few old pictures and stories from his aloof mother. According to his mother, his father was a delivery man. A delivery man so great he got into trouble for it. Daniel's mother would ramble on saying that Daniel's father delivered them to safety. Her stories, despite being quite unusual, motivated him to be a delivery man too. He figured if he became a good delivery man someday, he might cross paths with his father. It was a silly idea yet it motivated him to become what he is today.

Daniel, along with his mother, lived with his uncle Henry in New York. Henry had been taking care of his sister and nephew ever since they mysteriously appeared in his apartment.

During his early twenties, Daniel was New York's fastest bike courier. Any package big or small, he would deliver within record time and in perfect condition. As a result, his employers assigned him the rush deliveries. Even rival bike courier companies knew of him. He was the city's best courier. His job was his passion and only the people closest to him knew why.

The head of the company he worked for recognized his talent. He offered him a new job as an exclusive courier. Daniel was to transport items for his boss and his associates. He would have to transport things like art, artifacts, collectibles, documents, and ocassionally people. Nothing illegal, just valuable. Daniel accepted and was given a new suit, an SUV and a huge salary. It was easy money...for the most part anyway.

There was one incident where he was waylaid by a group of armed men. He attempted to turn back, but they shot at his wheels. So he made a run for it hoping all they wanted was his cargo. Sadly, he hurt his foot diving into the ditch. The men caught him and beat him. Bloodied and with watery eyes, he saw the biggest of the men poised to knock him out. He braced himself and closed his eyes.

The hit never came. When he opened his eyes he was home. He had teleported for the first time. He was excited and scared at the same time. But he was mostly tired and in pain, so he slept. He dreamt of a vast room filled with mist...and his father. In the morning he filed a police report and told his boss and family what happened. He lied on how he got away.

After that day, life was different. His uncle became more protective while his mother acted stranger than usual. Daniel would spend time learning about his new power. He would also take lessons on self defense and basic us of weapons. He didn't want to be defenseless again.

Years have passed and he has learned how to control his power. He still couldn't teleport as far as when he first did, but he was improving. He didn't know how he does it or where the power came from. He decided to keep his powers a secret from others just in case.

He has since then worked as a freelance courier. His old boss would still hire him but only every now and then. Just once in his life did he ever fail to make a delivery. That failed delivery bothered him so much that he vowed to never let it happen again.

Daniel was thirty when he dreamt of the room again. It was more of a vast white floor with mist instead of walls or a ceiling than a room. There were things in the "room" but he couldn't quite make it out. The dream had been so vivid that when he woke up, he swore that the place existed. He focused his thoughts on the room...then he vanished. He found himself in the very room of his dream. It felt weird there. He was stepping on the floor but felt no gravity. He tried moving around, but he couldn't tell if he were walked, teleported or floated. It was almost like he was still dreaming, but he was certain that this was really happening. That where he was is a real place. He purposely moved towards the mist but he'd always find himself still within the it's clearing. It was as if he were in another dimension.

The room wasn't empty. The objects in his dream were there too. There was an office desk, a few briefcases and something huge covered with tarpoline. He opened the unlocked briefcases. Each were filled with crisp $100 bills. A hundred million? A billion? There was more money there than he cared to count. He then checked whatever was under the tarpoline. He found stacks of blue bricks, each wrapped in clear plastic. He took one and peeled off the plastic. Pieces of the brick broke off and crumbled. The bricks were some sort of hardened powder. Daniel estimated that there could be about 500 kilos of those bricks. He then approached the desk and pulled open a drawer. He was surprised to find old pictures of

his mother.

He teleported back home..into his mother's room asking for an explaination. She was only mildly startled when he appeared in front of her. She wouldn't respond to his questioning until she gave him a closer look. She noticed the blue powder on his shirt. She suddenly became hysterical. She demanded to know how it got there. He couldn't calm her down so he

held her hand and brought her to the "room."

He showed his mother the brick he had opened and asked her what it was. She calmed down and took a piece of brick from him and told her what she knew. Apparently she did not know much. The blue powder was a new drug during her time-when Daniel was still a baby and they were living in Freedom City. Daniel's father caught her using it and they had an argument. She fainted and was brought to the hospital. A week later she was back home and with Daniel. Daniel's frantic father appeared and told his mother to pack their things. He then teleported them to Daniel's uncle's apartment. Daniel's father tried to explain what was going on to his mother, but she was too stunned at the time. Daniel's mother returned the piece of brick after her story and they teleported back home.

Daniel didn't quite know what to do with the revelation. He needed time to think. Regrettably, he was too busy keeping to himself he didn't notice what his mother was up to. She had pocketed handful of blue powder before coming back home. A day later while Daniel was out, Uncle Henry found his sister in her room unconscious. He rushed her to the hospital as fast as he could. She was in a coma. As soon as Daniel found out, he went to his mother.

Weeks pass as Daniel stayed with his mother in the hospital. Seeing the effects of narcotics on his mother saddened and angered him. Daniel always thought his mother was just eccentric, but all along it was the effect of drugs. And now a new drug has caused her to be in a coma. Why would someone create such things and sell them to innocent people? And why were there so much in the "room." Did his father sell the drugs? Who made them?

Uncle Henry could see the anguish in Daniel. He believed that Daniel's father had the answers Daniel was looking for. Uncle Henry was capable of taking care of his sister alone. He insisted that Daniel look for his father..to look for answers. He gave Daniel his blessing to leave.

Daniel agreed. He knew too that he needed this. He promised himself to stop those responsible for the production of the new drug and all other narcotics. With a new sense of direction, he set out for Freedom City.

Daniel's Father:

Faramon King was an exceptional smuggler hired by an organization under The Labyrinth. With the powered vigilantes and rivals all around Freedom City, it was dangerous work. Many of his collegues were either cought or have gone missing. His superiors eventually needed better mules. Because of Faramon's loyalty to the organization, he was given a chance to undergo an experimental genetic modification procedure. He readily agreed and became their first success.

The costly procedure allowed him access to another dimension where he can instantaneously shift in and out to reach any point in the planet and, unbeknown to Faramon, be located by the organization if he stays in one area long enough.

Mostly within Freedom City ,but also around the world, he carried contraband such as drugs, fire-arms, tech and artifacts...and sometimes people (Living to transport, dead to dispose of) Because of his reliability and new power, the organization needed no other smuggler. Although by now he was wealthy, he had to stay low key to avoid suspicion from the authorities.

Faramon had a girlfriend, Helen Farrell. A girl from New Jersey, she moved to Freedom City hoping for the big life. She was a freelance model who rarely found work. She was attractive, however she couldn't compete with so many other alluring young girls. She lived in together with Faramon in his West End apartment, and later on his Parkside condo. Though they lived under the same roof, they rarely spent their days together. They only saw each other late nights and early mornings. He was always too busy working for his superiors-even with his new powers.

She never found out what Faramon really did for a living. He'd only say that he was a delivery man. And when they moved to the condo, he said that he used up all his savings for it. But Faramon wasn't the only one with secrets. Helen also kept something from him. She had a mild addiction to narcotics. She and her friends used designer drugs, and sometimes zoom, whenever they'd go out clubbing. On very rare occasions, she would resort to smoking zombie powder when she'd feel anxious or depressed. Despite having only a few hours with each other almost everyday, they managed to stay together and develop stronger feelings for each other. Helen was pregnant not long after they moved to Parkside.

Daniel was three years old when his father received news from the organization. There was a new drug that had been developed and was already being distributed by the local dealers for field testing. He was told that if the drug feedback was positive, mass production would begin and the organization would handle it's distribution around the world. This meant that Faramon would be making more than ten times what he currently earns. This was definitely good news.

In his excitement he decided to go home and give Helen and Daniel a surprise visit. Faramon was shocked to find Helen ingesting the new drug. It had been given to her by a friend who suggested she try it out. Faramon was furious and he and Helen had a fight. Daniel woke up from his afternoon nap hearing the argument and started crying.

With all the commotion and the effects of the drug, Helen suddenly collapsed. She was quickly brought to the hospital where she began recovery. The doctors said she could have been comatose if she had not been brought to the hospital quickly. She was lucky, but she wasn't the same after that.

Days later, the day the drug was ready to be delivered around the world, Faramon came home. He instructed Helen to get Daniel and pack. He told her they weren't safe and that they had to leave. Faramon knew Helen had a brother and demanded her to tell me where he lived. Suddenly there was a crash on their door, but Faramon,Helen and Daniel were gone.

Next thing Helen knew, they were in her brother's apartment in New York. She was stunned. She just stared blankly at Faramon as he explained that there were people after him and somehow they could always find him. They would be safe as long as he was not near them, he continued to explain. Then he disappeared. Helen 's brother came home surprised to find

his sister. He took care of her, and Daniel ever since.

Personality & Motivation:

Daniel's uncle and mother raised him to be a good person. He does his best to always do what is right. When it comes to deliveries, he is quite obsessed. He only failed a delivery once, and would not want it to happen again.

He is driven to find more clues about his father. But first he has to get settled in Freedom City.

Daniel is disgusted with people who manufacture, distribute and sell drugs. He is motivated to prevent as many people as he can to fall victim to it.

Powers & Tactics:

Ability to teleport himself and anything he touches with a total mass of 10000lbs within 200 miles.

Can access a dimensional pocket where he can store and retrieve items.

Daniel prefers to avoid trouble, moving away through traditional means. He know's how to defend himself and will do so when actively attacked. He'll only teleport away if he's greatly outmached or outnumbered, or if he is in the middle of transporting someone or something.

Complications:

Pocket Dimension: If there are those who have undergone the same procedure as his father, they will be able to access the pocket dimension.

Traceable: Daniel and his family can be traced by the serial codes in the cash he found. His father knew not to spend it anymore. Daniel hadn't thought of that when he bought his own place in Freedom City.

Mother/Drugs: His mother was able to pocket some of the drugs and is now in a coma.

In Brief: A teleporting courier fighting against illegal drug dealers and manufacturers.

Eyes: Black

That's an unusual colour, is it linked to his powers, or is it just a descriptive term for deep brown eyes (homo sapiens can't have black irises naturally, and I know of no recorded real life mutations for it).

History:

Looks good, but you don't need the quote tags. I'd also like to see more on being a superhero. Currently, it looks like a person-with-powers, with family mysteries to look into. Dark pasts are a genre staple, but so is fighting crime and stopping supervillains. Justice League, not Heroes.

Stats: 16pp

Str: 12 (+1)

Dex: 14 (+2)

Con: 10 (+0)

Wis: 14 (+2)

Cha: 14 (+2)

Adds up. But follow, formatting, it's not 16pp, it's 2+4+0+2+4+4=16pp

Combat: 12pp

Attack: +2

Grapple: +6

Defense: +4 (+2 flat-footed)

Knockback: -0

Initiative: +2

Adds up, but see formatting note. And note your Attack Focus here.

Right, major concern. This is a superhero game, and thus combat happens. Defensively, you're PL 2. If you didn't Teleport away, a thug with a knife could kick your ass into next week.

Saves: 6pp

Toughness: +0 (+0 Con, +0 other)

Fortitude: +0 (+0 Con, +0)

Reflex: +4 (+0 Dex, +2)

Will: +6 (+0 Wis, +4)

Adds up, needs correct formatting. Exotic saves are also quite low, Shaen recommends PL-2 on average.

Skills: 44r = 11pp

Computers 4 (+5)

Concentration 2 (+4)

Diplomacy 4 (+6)

Drive 6 (+8)

Sense Motive 4 (+6)

Adds up, although all the bonuses seem quite low. It's generally good to have a few skills at high levels, say, +10 for PL7.

Feats: 9pp

Attack Focus (Melee) 4

Benefit (Wealth) 1

Defensive Attack

Elusive Target

Evasion 1

Jack-of-All-Trades

Adds up.

Powers: 51pp

Dimensional Pocket 7 [14]

Teleport 7 (Extras: Accurate, Affects Others; PFs: Easy, Dimensional, Progression 6, Turnabout) [37]

Formatting again. ;) I'd add the carrying capacity to the Dimensional Pocket and Teleport for quick reference.

And Dimensional on Teleport doesn't let you teleport between Dimensions. That's Super-Movement (dimensional travel).
