Badb flies off following the directions she was given, and it doesn't take her long to find the building. She flies down toward what she assumes to be the back door and tries the handle, hoping it's unlocked. 'No one will come crying' The words float through her head as she formulates a back up plan. 'Just have to be sure not to take myself out in such a situation.'

The back door is locked, but it looks like that's there to keep the homeless from coming inside and sleeping there, rather than to keep a determined individual out. Even in as great a city as this one, the poor are still there, and no one imploding a building would want a person to be caught inside.

Badb knows that the explosives wouldn't be placed inside until the day of the explosion. There are too many criminals who would make ample use of them if they were left unguarded for too long. From what Trap-Door had said, she would have some time to prepare the field of battle before Grant's thugs would come to find her. It's just a question of how to do it...

Finding the back door locked is something of an annoyance to Badb, but she is determined to find a way in without turning the door to slag. Things like that tend to alert people that something is wrong. Instead she flies up to look at the upper level windows. Aha. Success. Many have already been broken out, seemingly on purpose if the lack of shards are any indication. Carefully, so as not to rip her costume or herself, Badb flies through the window and into the building. Now to get her bearings. And speaking of bearings, time to see if she can't pinpoint the master column. 'Too bad I'm not a structural engineer.'

The building looks like it was once an office building, but now, the cubicles have all been removed, the carpet torn up, and all the wires ripped out of the walls. It looks like the sorts of people who sell wire as scrap copper were able to get in at some point, despite the locks on the front door. The center of the building has four main pillars that appear to be of equal size.

The sun is setting now, and it's starting to get darker. The light switches don't seem to work, which makes sense when Badb looks for the lights and can't find any.

The dark would work to Badb advantage anyway. As for the columns, she'd leave them untouched for now. It'd be a challenge to mimic age via blasts of radiation, and she didn't want to tip her hand. Not until the moment of greatest use. Not until she knew if there would be meaning in this fight. Taking advantage of being currently alone, Badb looks to hide herself away, preferably in a position that could watch the door and wouldn't box her in if bullets and the like began to fly.

The wait isn't very exciting, but anyone who has ever been on a stakeout will tell you that the hours of boredom all pay off when the targets come by. Badb would guess that she's been there for about an hour and a half after sundown when she hears the sound of people outside. Below her, a door crashes open. Whoever is down there isn't as worried about coming in undetected as she was.

There's also the sound of voices, but it's too far away to make out the words. All Badb can tell is that there's definitely more than one person, and that all the voices so far have been male.

Badb waits, willing the voice to come a little closer. While it's doubtful that these men aren't her target, she wants to be sure. Attacking the wrong people might lose her future jobs, and losing future jobs would leave her home at night doing nothing more then grading papers. Which wouldn't be so bad if so many of the kids didn't attempt to plagiarize their work. Even after she had busted six of them for it this year. But she waits. 'Just another minute or two.'

Finally, some of the people making noise get close enough for Badb to see them. They're swinging around a large light, and it's difficult to see what's on the other side of it as Badb's eyes are forced to adjust quickly to the sudden brightness. But next to it are two bruisers so ridiculously oversized that they must be augmented in some fashion.

A second more, and Badb realizes that it's not a flashlight being moved around. That light is coming from the head of another person, or robot, or thing as it looks around.
