"Hrraaaah!"

Blitz smiled and shook his head just a little as Valkyrie ran down the hall, hammer in hand, screaming as she charged in to "war". She really was a crazy viking. It hadn't just been a show for the sake of the group of hero's after all. It was kinda refreshing to see a crazy hero when it seemed like most of them were pretty well balanced... at least... most of them. He gave himself a quick shake and jogged off after Valkyrie just as the doors behind him exploded off of their hinges.

His considerable speed allowed him to keep up with her easily; it was actually child's play, Blitz wasn't even moving fast enough for the speed to alter his perception of time. He plodded along after Valkyrie and decided to ask, "So... do we know where we're going or are we just running along until we find someone else?"

"Dost thou hath a better plan, mort-" Suddenly, the psychic image of the nearest villain's location was broadcast to her by The Scarab. "There! Come! We are to battle!" Valkyrie stopped abruptly, and once again laid a hand on Blitz as he ran by. The two were gone once more in a flash of lightning.

In the room where the fake security guards were standing, a small grey storm cloud suddenly appeared near the ceiling. It belched a jagged bolt of lightning, which struck the floor, and divested the two heroes. "Surrender to the might of the Gods, imposters! Or feel their might!"

The group of staff exchange looks at one another for a moment as the incredibly weird heroic duo bursts onto the scene. But then all their forms immediately change into monstrous appearances. The guards assume the form of something akin to rock golems. Their massive frames barely fit within the hallways, and their blocky arms look as if they could tear through cars. Two of the scientists grow into incredibly lanky forms. Their arms and legs become covered in barbs and other nasty bits. The last technician doesn't get a specific form. They merely swell until they look like an overgrown amoeba.

Blitz shook his head to shake out the buzzing sensation he felt in his brain. He looked around the room and saw the science techs stopping what they were doing and looking at them.

Blitz’s face contorted with disgust as the techs transformed in front of them, his eyebrow raising to it’s highest reach. His body sparked as he prepared to run into the fray. The air vacuumed into the space he left behind with a soft FWOOMP.

Blitz ran across the room, his right arm beginning to spark heavily, leaving a glowing blue streak in the air as he ran across the room. The “lab tech†on the right looked like a good target to Blitz. So he ran past the lanky-spiky creature and landed his hand on the guy’s arm.

Blitz had tried this move only a few times before so he was still new at it. As a result the electricity that had been building in his arm simply arced across the surface of the Lasher without harming it.

’Crap!’ Blitz berated himself mentally, ’I need more power next time!’ He ran past the group of mooks and proceeded further into the room, hopefully out of attack range.

With a chuckling laugh, Avenger feinted at the evil shapeshifters, then simply disappeared. Though daylight denied him many of his greatest powers, Avenger's ability to hide truly was unmatched, even in brightest day. Your minds are nothing. Your powers are nothing. And soon, very soon, when the heroes of Freedom City have their way with you, you will BE nothing. He headed for the hostages as Scarab had suggested, traveling as a ghost on the wind amidst the noise and fuss of battle.

While Aiko hadn't been privy to whatever mind trick the Scarab had pulled to give everyone else a tour of the place she had tricks of her own. Sweeping out with her own 'mental trick' of connecting with electronics the gynoid found, after brushing softly against the sophisticated workings of the other armoured flyers suit, the security network of the plant. Barging into that, speed being of the essence, she quickly had a mostly complete layout of the plant. Granted, there were blacked out areas where for some reason the internal cameras and other surveillance was either shut down or just didn't reach. Still, it was enough for her purposes. "Very well. Onwards." Karakuri says to no one in particular before following Scarab towards the reactor.

The Scarab soared down through the open doorway, her massive cloak waving like a flag in the wind behind her. [bg=#BF0000]Interesting,[/bg] she mused as the invaders transformed before her eyes. [bg=#BF0000]The Grue have obviously made some innovations and refinements to their war machine since the last time we clashed. Fortunately, so have I.[/bg] She reached a hand out toward one of the rocky giants, imagining a giant ghostly hand extending out from her own and squeezing its fingers around the behemoth. [bg=#BF0000]Let's find out if your body is stronger than my mind...[/bg]

With a flash of lightning, Valkyrie joined the battle. She landed just in front of one of the larger looking creatures. Her hammer connected squarely with his chest, just as she released her signature battle cry, "HRRrrrAAAHHH!" And though the rage of the Gods manifested itself in the form of lighting, smiting the place where the hammer struck, it seemed not to phase the creature. Valkyrie swung the hammer once more, but the second attack when wild, over the creature's head!

The Grue then joined the battle. The Golem-like grue rushed Valkyrie, flanking her from the left and right with heavy blows. The Lashers attacked their old foe, the Scarab, with heavy maces on the ends of their whip like limbs. Lastly, the amorphous Grue attacked the retreating Aiko, hoping to contain the heroes to a certain sector of the facility at the very least. They seemed not to notice the movements of Avenger.

Ironclad despaired as the various heroes dealt shattering blows that the alien invaders simply shrugged off. She knew that she was out of her weight class, but at least the other heroes seemed to be holding their own. The armored heroine floated up behind the massive Grue, her armor still shifted for massive physical power, and brought a hammerblow down on its broad back. She wasn't expecting to do much to stop it, but if she could provide Valkyrie with an opening maybe the other heroine could drop the beast.
