The One Where They Fight The Nazis (IC)

Fulcrum took the hit like a mountain. Her head barely moved from the massive impact. Oh yeah, she believed him about his upgrades. That was one hell of a hit, and she hoped he couldn't keep landing them. Still she wasn't about to let him know that.

Keeping her face blase, she let him circle without moving and then lashed out with vicious backhand. The punch was wide by a mile but would at least tell her roughly what she was now up against.

Sighing, she turned to fully face him using a full-on fighting stance. "Nice name, 'Aryan-One'. You do realize that Aryan refers to people like me, not you." Lacking the silver tongue of people like Jack-of-All-Blades, she didn't expect anything to come of her quip, but again it may set him off. He was volatile enough.

As long as he focused on her and not the hostages she was okay.

Got it. Rift replied in his mind to the voice. Psychics never failed to freak him out.

As much as he would like to point out that Klansman was an idiot who practically knew anything that came out of his mouth, he did have a point. Rift did underestimate the amount of damage he could do and too many stray attacks could do more damage than good. OK, Plan B then. Rifts fingers flexed just before started a concentrated guitar solo, distorting the air between him and Klansman with paralyzing display of sound.

Staying in the shadows, Rycon watched as Kid Cthulhu and Valkyrie duked it out. However Rycon wasn't one who simply like to watch, especially when it's her friend's life at risk. Seeing an oppertunity, She moved behind the Nazi villain as she takes out a few of her knives and fires them, hoping that Valkyrie would be distracted by the squid hero.

As the knives struck her enemy, Rycon cried out, "" She spoke in German, trying to have a conversation that would involve only them for the moment.

KC knew the psycho Nazi was weakened. He wanted to finish this bitch off so Ashley and him could help fighting the bigger baddies.

He held his hand to his temple, and readied a stream of mental energy. "Say goodnight, crazy." He fired a stream of psychic energy directly at her temples.

Fulcrum grimaced hearing her nose crunch. Blood poured out of it, but as was the surreal nature of her powers, the wound quickly stopped bleeding. She fought through the pain, aiming a strong left counter punch at his temple. Unfortunately, the flaming Nazi was just that much quicker. Amazingly, the taunt about the cape actually worked. Insult her skin color all you want, but she'd be damned if he said anything about the cape!

"Funny thing I just realized. I've never been able to really cut loose in a fight. Everything breaks so easily. Feels like I'm living in a world of cardboard. Ha! Tissue paper even. But you can take it, can't you? I'm really going to enjoy pounding your head into the concrete." A malicious grin darkened her features and she tightened her fists until her knuckles popped.

"Ah'll give you both what you've got coming!" spat the Klansman, who drew a K-shaped bomb from his belt and hurled it at the ground. Between the rush of air from outside and the noise of the erupting smoke bomb, soon he'd disappeared into the depths of the airship behind them. Outside the kids could see White Knight and Fulcrum grappling with each other, the noise of super-powered punches audible even this far away.

Sage darted after Klansman, her keen eyes picking out his egress through the swirling smoke. Though taking care to remain unoticed, the white haired telepath quickly caught up with the superbigot.

--Running away from a little mutie girl?-- Sage thought to Klansman, her 'voice' taking a contemptuous tone. From her position in cover, Sage focused her thoughts and 'blade' of telekinetic force flared into being. The blade looked like an elongated triangle of vivid ice blue with striations of brilliant orange dancing along its surface.

--Defend yourself!-- the telepath shouted while launching a vicious attack at her foe.

Sage's devastating strike went right in one side of Klansman's head and came out the other! "Yeargh!" He convulsed and fell, twitching, his brain well and truly fried by the silent siren's strike. That left the teens alone in the damaged airship, the ominous sounds coming from the creaking gondola telling them that they didn't have much time to rescue all the hostages! And meanwhile, outside a battle was raging.

Relieved that the Nazi-bitch was down, Rycon made a run for her sister, taking one of the knives Rycon kept to cut the ropes that bounded her sister. After removing the ropes and cloth from her face, Rycon gave a big hug to Danielle, saying quietly, "Sis..." she was so happy that she kept Danielle safe. Danielle was a little more concerned about the squid hero Kid Cthulhu that was right next to the two girls.

Suddenly, strange sounds came from the ship they we're on, giving the two heroes aboard a bad feeling. Without giving the two teenagers time to act, Danielle said. "Let's free the others quickly, this ship won't last long!" as she took one of Rycon's knives and started freeing the other officers. Her sister followed, but not before looking out the window to see two others dueling outside. "Fulcrum...!" she gasped. Thinking that the 8'4 superhero was losing, Rycon made a quick signal to KC before heading back to freeing the prisoners, telling him to assist Fulcrum before she get's herself injured further.

KC nods to her. He stretches his back, and his wings extend to either side of him. He takes a moment to wipe some broken glass off of the Elder Sign on his chest, and took off. He got to a running start, and leapt out of the airship. He saw the two of them duking it out, and KC quickly entered the fray.

"You're a little early for Halloween, White Knight. Besides, the bedsheet ghost costume is way overdone."

He held his hand to his temple, and used his magic to steal the Nazi's sanity. He only hoped it would be enough. The power surged out of his temples in a powerful stream. He felt a little light-headed.

"Well, I was useful." Rift grumbled as he slung his guitar over his shoulder and walked over to the unconscious body of the Klansman. "I'll bring him down the ground level for the police to pick up. Then we-" Rift stopped as he heard the sounds of metal and supports weaken.

"...Well thats encouraging." The teen hero said with sigh as he bent down and started dragging the villain to the blown out wall of the gondola. "I'll take care of him. Try and help the other hostages out somehow before the the whole place falls to the ground." He told Sage before hovering out of the ship towards the ground, struggling to hold the man without dropping him.

Sage simply shrugged and made her way through the cabin to where the hostages were being held. She didn't know how she was going to get herself or the hostages off the crippled vessel and only hoped that Fulcrum would finish her fight soon. As Sage neared the former hostages one look told her that they too heard the sound of weakening supports.

--Your attention please,-- the teen telepath thought to the officers, --I need every to remain cal..-- Sage abruptly cut off as there was a sickening noice of metal tearing from metal as the nose of the cabin ripped free and drooped, knocking Sage and the officers from their feet and pitching them to the front of the airship.

And then the rear tore away.

Mind clouded by terror, Sage subconsciously reached out and 'grabbed' the plummeting structure with her mind her eyes flaring an electric blue. As she brought the cabin's fall to a halt she came to realize that she herself was floating several inches above the deck, ethereal wings of orange and blue flared up behind her.

Taking a moment to catch her breath, the white-haired psychic lowered the cabin in a far more controlled manner.

"Please. You think that'll stop ME!?" Roaring with rage, the White Knight turned away from Fulcrum for a moment, focusing his rage on Kid Cthulu. "You little bastard. This is how I deal with all subhuman scum like you!" And with that, he hurled a devastating ball of fire at Kid Cthulu, a wall of heat flashing over the kid hero!

Meanwhile, with a great wrench, Sage tore the gondola from the falling airship, the awesome power of her unleashed mind letting her hold the whole thing in place by sheer force of will. As the gasbag overhead suddenly rocketed to the sky, the whole body of the cabin shook, just barely held together by the teen psychic's power.

Rift was starting to descend when he saw the whole airbag detach from the ship, seemingly held aloft by invisible forces. He looked down at the uncontious man in his arms and shook his head. Yeah, this plan is not gonna work. He berated himself as he raised himself back up to the blown out hole and tossed the Klansman back in. He unslung his guitar from his back and flew around the suspended cabin, looking around the surrounding area. "Lets see...Aha!" He exclaimed as he moved into position and started playing, using sound itself to push the cabin away from the fight and to someplace where it can land safely.

"Raaaaugh!" KC screams as the blast of flame hits him in the shoulder. He can hear the green flesh burn and crisp, and he tried to pat out the flames. "I'm in way over my head." KC thought as he held his wound. "I shouldn't have tried to take on a fully-fledged supervillain. He's going to kick my ass, and right in front of Rycon. I can't let that happen."

KC screamed at the White Knight "Is that all you've got, you cousin-kissing white trash?"

Rycon and Danielle quickly turn to the door as Sage entered, hearing her voice though nothing coming from her mouth at the same time. A smile came over Rycon as she said "We're done freeing the hostages, what's going on with the ship?" Before Sage could give her answer she was interrupted by the rock of the ship and the tumble of the group falling towards the front.

After screaming all the way from one end to another, the group turns to see the rear torn from the front, then the plane being lowered slowly by Sage, though it didn't calm down the worried officers. It may, or may not have helped when Rift threw another supervillain into the ship and started moving the plane away from the fight. Danielle, calmer than some of the others turned to Rycon, "We need to discuss this act you do when this is over." she spoke in a demanding tone. "Now isn't the time, where are the para- *GASP*" Rycon started talking back to her cousin, only to gasp in shock when she looked out the window to see KC engulfed in flames.

In panic, Rycon stood up and turned to Rift, shouting, "You need to get us closer...!" She couldn't continue speaking once Danielle pulled her back down, criticizing, "We can't go back! The safety of these people come first." The older cousin put her hand over Rycon's mouth to prevent her from speaking. Then a shout came from outside. Rycon struggled free from her cousin's grip to see Kid Cthulhu flipping off the White Knight, though he was burnt, KC still held strong. Rycon prayed for his safety, regretting ever gesturing him to go after the supervillain.

Even over the snap-crack of superspeed punches, Fulcrum heard the gondola break free. The hostages, heroes and villains alike plummeted earthward, and she looked down against her better judgment. The sucker punch didn't follow. White Knight found a new target. Her heart skipped a beat, trying to decide whether to go for the gondola or slug the villain. As far as she was concerned, that was an ethical dilemma of one life or many.

A weight lifted off her shoulders when the other heroes got control of the fall. Her eyes steeled as the maniac fried Kid Cthulhu. The guy already had the workings of a great hero, and she'd be damned if that bigot was going to kill him. Instead of punching the white-clad villain, she grabbed his free arm and whipped her other around his throat.

With a great heave she twisted the arm backwards, bending his spine the wrong way. Kid Cthulhu could feel the straining of their muscles and the grinding of his vertebrae. Gritting her teeth, she grunted, "Hit him or run! You can't stand up to him!"

KC watched as Fulcrum held the psychopath still. He was surprised how little the fire hurt him, maybe he was just too pissed off to notice. "Thanks for holding him, Fulcrum. I'm gonna send this bigot right back to the chef. He looks undercooked."

KC grinned as he summoned a mass of the green otherworldly flames. He held both of his hands out, and fired en masse at his foe. The green fire leapt from his hands and came at the Knight like cannon fire. He had to beat White Knight. If this didn't work, he didn't know what would.

Fulcrum's speed and Kid Cthulu's courage let them dogpile the mad racist, Fulcrum breaking his nose while Kid Cthulu set his costume on fire, leaving the pyrokinetic madman bleeding, battered, but still very much in the fight. As the teens onboard the airship struggled to rescue the hostages while helping Sage land the broken gondola, a white aircraft suddenly shimmered into view just underneath, shaped exactly like a Christian cross! Suddenly, the cross seemed to burst into flames and rocket away, disappearing into the sky fast as any military jet!

Fulcrum blinked, "That's...that's a new one for me. What kind of villain flies a flaming cross?" Mentally she made a note to tell Freedom Angel about that sighting. Somehow that villain would be perfect for him.

No time for that crap now! Time to choke a villain! Well, force him into submission as gently as possible anyway. Which she did most gently, locking her arm tightly around his throat, his back still hyper-extended backwards, and squeezed off his blood supply to the old brain. Not that doing such would hurt him permanently. Maybe if it did he'd actually listen to the bile he was spewing.

With Klansman and Valkyrie having made their escape via the Klan-plane, and with White Knight battered and beaten into unconsciousness (notably he had _not_ choked, but had needed to actually be throttled), the heroes stood victorious over the bad guys and had a cluster of rescued hostages to finish saving. And perhaps a balloon gondola to guide to a safe landing!

During all the saving, Rycon had noticed the white cross airship at the last minute as it took off. A moment later made Rycon realized, "Hey, where did those other two..." She then muttered a vulgar German word under her breath, knowing that those two got away. But regardless, Rycon will not be forgetting that Nazi-bitch, Valkyrie anytime soon...

KC saw as the villain escaped in his strange cross-shaped plane. He smiled in grim satisfaction at the villain beaten to a pulp. "Tough bastard, isn't he?" He looked at the blimp, and immediately took off towards it without another word.

He swooped in via the glass window that the two of them broke previously, and landed on the floor of the blimp. "Rycon, are you alright?"
