So... it looks like Morph just changes what you look like... how does metamorph work? If you wanted to create a character who could change into 3 different mythological critters, say, a pegasus, a coatl, and a gryphon, would you use shapeshift, alternate form, or metamorph?

Thanks!

Definitely shapeshift. Though you will find some GMs who will let you do it with Alternate Form (for the first mythical beast) and then buy the other two shapes as alternate powers of that Alternate Form.

Basically:

Alternate Form is fixed into one form.

Shapeshift is far more flexible allowing you to shift into anything in a given category for 7 PPs per rank.

The morph with PF: metamorph effectivily gives you a complete second character to use/make. Both forms have to but morph: metamorph but that is a small price. I have not seen many GM's that like that power anyway.

Alternate form could work for the mythilogical creatures [main form is a pegasus with coatl and gryphon being being alternate powers], I have also heard of using shapeshift maybe even with a flaw [mythological creatures only]. It really depends on the GM [or Judge in this case  ]
