Characters Name: Doctor Science

Power Level: 7 (90/105)

Trade-Offs: None

Unspent PP: 15

Alternate Identity: Alice Himmel

Age: 16 (September 17, 1993)

Gender: Female

Height: 5’5â€

Weight:135 lbs

Eyes:Hazel

Hair:Black

Description: A diminutive, pale-skinned girl with shoulder length black hair that curls a bit at the end and soft hazel eyes. She wears a white lab coat, with (DS) stitched on the left shoulder sleeve and lined with pockets on the hem, with a beige sweater vest under it. She also wears a pair of jeans that cover a pair of converse sneakers. The pants are covered up to the knee whenever the Ventus boots are put on and likewise to most of her left arm when Tesla is activated. Alice also carries around a messenger bag slung over her right shoulder...It has a little smile drawn on the flap.

History: Alice was a lucky girl, born into a wealthy family and living in the security of her own home for most of her life. Although this sheltered life offered the girl protection, her parents were concerned of exposing her to a world where costume vigilantes were actually normal. So Alice was home-schooled; which didn’t last long as the girl was nothing short of a child prodigy. Finishing her studies at age 9 and with really, nothing left to do...She took up reading comics and playing video games. Alice’s achievements were known to be spectacular for a girl her age: Beating Mr. Dream in Knock Out! in only one play through, and playing Ultra Guy 1 (She can’t defeat Breeze Man, it is impossible!).

And a few years later, she figured out how science works and grew an affinity towards it; becoming a top notch engineer at 14, which lead to the creation of her clever devices she wields. Alice did move out of her home, much to the chagrin of the parents, but promised to remain in North City and close to her parents. Alice is currently attending Claremont Academy as a first year student in order to further understand what she's getting herself into. And maybe make some friends.

Personality & Motivation: Alice grew up reading comics, especially those concerning superheroes and villains which coupled with the fact that she read them at a very impressionable age, took it upon herself to become one of the heroes and protecting Freedom City the best she could. Science helped. She’s very well-spoken but extremely shy when it comes to social situations. Of course, her shyness never deterred the girl from doing everything she can scientifically can to help the heroes that have granted protection to her family and subsequently herself. Alice only hopes she can live up to being a heroine.

Powers & Tactics: Melee comes only as a second option, the Tesla Gauntlet is more than capable of firing electric bolts at a range and with its Magnetic Control, it is capable of controlling some ferrous metals to a certain weight. The Ventus boots allow Alice to move up to 100 MPH, this can also work in conjunction with the Tesla for one hell of a punch. When not in use, the Tesla Gauntlet folds itself into the large orb on the back of the hand and placed in DS's Messenger Bag while Ventus folds itself in the same manner it is kept kept around her ankles (think two thick ankle bracelets over the pants). DS would have to reach down and activate them with a button. The Aegis Force Field is simply removed from the buckle.

Note: I think the Force Field might be the fastest thing she can activate out of the devices since it's kinda right there, but it does require some time to be in full effect.

Complications : Doctor Science still has parents living in North Freedom.

In Brief: Short, sleepy eyed, geeky girl in a lab coat. Has a big freakin’ metal arm.

Stats: good

Combat: Attack should read +2 (+4 ranged, +6 Tesla Gauntlet Array). Knockback is -5 (+0 without Tesla Gauntlet). Initiative should be +3.

Saves: Don't add up. You have 4+2+3 but you have bought 3 fort, 1 ref and 3 will. Toughness should read +5 (+0 Con, +5 other; Impervious 5).

Skills: Bluff should be (+11)

Feats: you have 6 feats, not 8

Powers: good

Other notes: Nice picture, drawn by yourself? A few nitpicks. She's 16, September has not rolled around yet. You do know know at that height and weight she's bound to look a bit... undernourished. I know you're going for scrawny but I think you over did it a bit :P You said she moved out, would she be interested in a school for gifted youths? Claremont Academy is what you get when you mix a lighter hearted X-Men and Teen Titans group. That and there's a ton of PCs there. Defensively you are PL4.5. 5 toughness + 4 defense = 9 / 2 = 4.5. While it's not mandatory to hit caps, you might find it necessary. You have your device written as separate things, but it counts as one device. Meaning if she has one on she has all of them on. Another device question. Where does she keep the device? For the drawback you have she has to have it separate from her. If she wears it all the time the drawback does not apply.

Force Field is an Active Effect, so it's Noticeable by default. You have to purchase the Subtle feat for it if you don't want people to see it. It is not eligible for the Noticeable drawback.

You could probably save some points in that device if you give it Shield (Dodge Focus as a power) instead of Enhanced Defense.

Device 3 (Aegis Buckle; 15 points; Hard to Lose) [12pp]

There's too much in the Belt now. You've got 16pp worth of effect in it, but the Belt (as Device 3) can only hold 15pp.

If you change Enhanced Defense to Shield, that would free 2 points. Like so:

Device 3 (Aegis Buckle; 15 points; Hard to Lose) [12pp]

You could use that 1pp to buy 1pp worth of stuff in the Belt. Like Flight 1 (Flaw: Platform). Or an Alternate Power for the Force Field (like a Force Blast, or an Invisibility Field), though it would be something she could use only while the Force Field is not active.

Oh, also, please alphabetize your feats.
