Powering Up

Let's say I'm building a character with a dynamic array, nothing too fancy, Protection, Strike, that sort of thing, but I want him to have to take a full round to 'power up' before he can use any of the array. Once he's powered up he can use everything normally, although it'd be good if it took another round to power down. How do I go about implementing that?

You can stick the array in an Alt form and adjust the alt from cost action down to a full round. Each step is a 1 pt drawback in this case unlike most powers where its a flaw.

If you require an object or to perform some kind of act it could be the normal identity drawback. But then the array and associated powers that you gain while its active have to be at least 1/2 your pp total. There's also a "can't change back" drawback that could be applied I believe but I think it needs to be on the order of minutes or longer to count for points so probably just taking it as a complication that it takes a full round to change back.
