The Circ de Éternel is a relatively small, but world famous traveling circus. It has been in existence for most of the 20th Century under the control of the Jèze family: grandfather, then father, and now son. The circus is widely sought after because of its old-fashioned style and its bizarre menagerie of animals and acts. Part of the circus' fame is derived from its reclusiveness. The Circ de Éternel never plays the same venue twice . . . ever, and the circus never plays in large arenas. It is always set up outside in city centers or in large parks. Critics and skeptics have lampooned these oddities, but whatever the reason for them, the Circ de Éternel's eccentricities have only helped to add to their "old world" charm and the overwhelming demand for their product. Freedom City is lucky indeed to have the circus staying for three whole weeks in Liberty Park.

  • 4 weeks later...

Much to the excitement of everyone in Freedom City, the advance team for Circ de Éternel began setting up in Liberty Park on the last week of January. The circus workers erected a giant tarp-covered fence all around the Grand Lawn on the south-east side of the Park. A convoy of trucks began arriving shortly after, and made making a stead procession of deliveries into the park, night and day. The circus was only a week away, and already the whole city was abuzz with excitement.
