Heavy looks around the room, and then, not seeing anything that he could hide behind in his suit, moves into the walk-in wardrobe. If the door was open, he'll stay out of that door's field of view. If it wasn't, he closes it behind, though not completely - just enough to aid in any attempts to hear what is going on. If Satori starts shooting Kirk, they might not get paid. Of course, if he shoots another villain, well... they knew the hazards of the job when they signed up for it (literally, even).

The door handle quivers - someone has gripped it from the other side - and for a moment there is nothing in the area but silence and stillness. When that moment ends, the door handle is let go, and someone is making their way quickly away from the door and back down the hall if their footsteps are anything to go by...

"Odd." Satori says softly, very softly.

"See if you can find the study, and look through the files for his credit card statements and other such paperwork. Our next step is to perform some basic identity theft, you can well imagine what numbers and names we would need to do that. While you do that, I am going to take a look around the house and see precisely what is going on here."

Satori stops at the door, turns back to face Heavy, and continues "If I run into anything that requires your presence, rest assured, you will know."

And then he is gone.

Heavy continues to stand in the closet, unable to hear whether the person approaching is Satori or Kirk. Fortunately, Satori doesn't open the door more completely. Heavy was more than ready to grab the first person who came in.

Once he hears what's happened, he exits the closet. Satori is already gone. He shrugs to himself and thinks, "Well, he is a ninja." Of course, that doesn't mean that he's got the same level of experience with kidnapping and things like that. They don't need to steal Kirk's identity: they need to steal Kirk. Right now, the most important thing is finding out where he is. Heavy will slowly rummage through the man's nightstand to see if he can find any theater tickets or something like that to figure out where Kirk is now. If he finds the wallet in there, he'll take that out. It'd surprise him, but somehow, it'd make sense. Famous people don't need to carry around their wallets for people to know who they are.

Satori exits the room and makes his way around the house. The inside lights, including those in the hallway, are switched off. It takes a few minutes, but you come across someone who may be home - there seems to be activity and light coming from the kitchen. Before you can investigate, however, you can see the person who, it seems, forewent entering the bedroom you were in before. He's a young man; attractive and clean shaven with dark hair. He's making his way hastily through the house, looking at everything as he does so. It takes you a moment, but you recognise him from the meeting. Something about him has changed since then, and then you realise that he's now wearing a dinner suit whereas before, if you remember rightly, he was in a large coat. In any case, it seems he hasn't seen you yet, as he hastily moves past the doorway he was momentarily framed in.

Heavy doesn't find a wallet. He finds various books, however, all in different stages of reading - they're mostly autobiographies and you see at least two film scripts. There is a lot of other rubbish in the drawers - sketch and note pads, old reciepts, etc. It isn't until the drawers are done with that Heavy sees the pager sitting on top of the nightstand, lost amongst the various photos of Adam himself standing with other people. The pager springs to life, vibrating and flashing...

For half a moment it seems as if the arrow is right on target, but the man in the suit bumps a vase and catches it to stop it from falling - this action moves him out if the way of the deadly projectile. He hears it splinter the wall behind him in the hallway he's standing in. He turns...

...and sets his eyes immediately on Satori, "Well, hello my clandestine friend - striking from the dark are we?" He then makes a 'tsk tsk' noise. He has a casual and natural way of coming off incredibly condesendingly. Although he seems very casual, he looks spritely and ready to act. "We can do this if we must, but we needn't have to - in all honesty, I don't like your chances." He smiles at some private joke.

A probability manipulator. No skill. No dedication. Success unearned, but delivered to him anyway by the universe solely because of genetic fluke or random accident.

How... /offensive/. Removing such as this from existence will be a genuine /pleasure/.

Satori calmly replies "A world where skill cannot triumph over fortune is a world without purpose."
