JJ smirks at Eddie in response to the playful slug, than mocks injury by rubbing his shoulder. Taking the Key JJ stashes it in on his key chain, which was sorely lacking in keys. Eddie noted it only had the standard Dorm key from Claremont on it.

"It was nice to meet you Alexis, It'll be fun playing with you." JJ said extending a hand.

"Oh yea. You too, chief." Alexis said with a friendly air as he reached across the drum kit to shake JJ's hand. "You guys said you had somewhere to be. So you go on and get outta here. I'm gonna stay a while longer. There's a rhythm I have been wanting to get down before I go."

"Alright, man, good luck." Eddie gave Alexis a mock salute and turned away from the garage. "Come on JJ, let's get a look at that keyboard of yours. Maybe we can track down a guitarist while we are at it."

The two began to walk around the corner. The sounds of Alexis practicingreached their ears as they walked. It was stunning drum-work as always.

The two made their way back to Claremont.

"Later dude." JJ said as he followed after Eddie.

As the two walked JJ piped up, "So Eddie, I never really got around to asking, but what are your powers? other than alway's having those headphones." JJ asked chuckling at the end. "I mean you know what I can do, Which is why I made the suggestion of getting some light equipment, It'll at least throw less suspicion." JJ added.

"Somehow I was waiting for you to ask that." Eddie let out a little bit of a sigh. Explaining his powers to others was the most difficult thing about them. "In a word, my powers are, 'inspiration'." Eddie knew that wouldn't do it as a description. "It's extremely difficult to explain, and even less so once you actually see them in action...Because there is never anything constant about them."

"In short, the reason that I always HAVE these headphones is that music is what gives me that inspiration." Eddie searched through his pockets. He took out no less than six iPods. "You know I know a lot about music, but even you would be surprised to know that each of these is full of songs...and it's not even my entire collection! Stranger still, each song on here is a part of me. I know the tune, the beat, the words, the melody, everything inside and out by heart." JJ notice that each one of the iPods was plugged into a radio receiver. With a setup like that, all he had to do was tune to a different station to hear whatever was playing on each iPod. "Perhaps the one thing that does have any consistency about my powers is the fact that I can hear radio stations." He knocked on his head like he was asking to enter a doorway. "So these things..." Lifting the headphones, "not even necessary."

"I'll never be able to stop a train like Phalanx. I'll never be able to dismember an evil robot quite as well as Wander. I can't touch the minds of my enemies like Psyche. I can't summon the various fires of hell like Hellion. Hell, I can't even talk a foe down quite like Geckoman. And lord knows NOBODY is as lucky as Edge. Even you have got a leg up on me in some ways, I am sure. But I can do more by just believing in my music than the rest of you guys can combined sometimes. Thats what makes me powerful." He ended his speech with a pointed look at JJ. Clearly he had been practicing.

JJ just nods and listens to Eddie as he tries to explain his powers. "Rehearsed that much?" JJ asked jokingly. "But in all serious your power's sound cool, No wonder we get on well, Both of our power's in a sense are expression, your's deals with sound, mine deals with light." JJ said smiling.

Pausing for a moment... "Hmm that probably explains that... if you pick up Radio wave's in your head that's probably why you buzz like the radio does for me?" JJ said somewhat cryptically. "I mean when ever I'm around you I hear a faint buzzing. Same when I'm around radio's. I've had it all my life so I've learnt to ignore it." JJ mused.

"One of dad's scientist once said it had something to do with... what was it... Electromagnetic Radiation or something, or in normal term's light, apparently Radio is just another frequency of light or something like that?" JJ said starting to ramble.

"But anyway your power's sound cool... If I understand them correctly." He said giving Eddie a slap on the back.

"I guess that could be the reason." Eddie shrugged when he thought about the feedback thing.

"Sometimes I am not even sure if I understand them..." Eddie didn't seem too upset about it though. "But hey, that's part of the fun for me. Going through the process of learning exactly what I can do with my powers is very rewarding sometimes. Most of it comes naturally, but I did have to spend a lot of time developing my radio sense. And it has come in pretty helpful in the past, too."

"Yeah, It can be annoying but I think the best part of having power's is learning what you can do." JJ said with a smile.

Back at the dorm's JJ lead's Eddie to his room, pulling out his key he begin's to unlock the door, "Now remember I was only allowed to get the basics." JJ said opening the door.

The first thing Eddie notices is that Jadon doesn't quite know what the term 'basics' means. Eddie could see quite an extensive array of technological gizmo's and gadgets that were way beyond basic's. Ranging form a large 60inch flat screen Tv, a computer, laptop, TVo, the latest in game stations even the bed was covered in what looked like a pure down quilt. "As I said I was only able to get the basics, I'll slowly upgrade them in the following month's." JJ said with a grin, somewhat ignorant on how not normal having all this stuff was for a fifteen year old.

"God bless the Greatful Dead!" Eddie was nearly speechless as he strode into the room. "I would almost hate to see what you're folks mean by 'go nuts!'"

Eddie examined some of JJ's "Basics". A lot of these things weren't his forte, but he knew enough about the gizmos currently on the market to know this stuff was impressive.

"Geez... You even got the newest installment of Grand Theft Auto! I didn't even think that was out yet! I bet it looks great on this TV!"

"Oh that, It's an advanced copy, My father own's one of the companies that's funding the game. I haven't actually tried it yet, Haven't had the time." JJ said as if there was nothing strange about the statement.

"But anyway this is what I wanted to show you..." JJ said bringing Eddie over to a Foot by foot square steel box with a computer lock on it. Punching in the code the box locks slid open with a slight hiss.

Opening it, JJ pulled out a small round object ruffly five inches in diameter. It had a flat base so it would sit stably with a number of small jack ports and buttons' covering it. A large round shield like you find on camera's sat on one of the orb's faces.

"This is the surprise I wanted to show you." JJ said with a grin as he plugged in a wireless sound jack into one of it's jack ports. Placing it on the ground, JJ quickly turned on one Amp that had been sitting in the corner, It also housed a wireless sound jack.

crouching down to the orb, JJ hit one of the buttons then stood back. "Watched this." was all he said...

The round camera shield suddenly flicked open revealing a lens like device, Than the top and both corder's surrounding the lens flicked out. Each one housed a series of smaller lenses. The three smaller lenses than began to extend away from the small orb until they were about six feet away from it. A single collapsible rod holding them in place.

Than an orange beam shot out of the central eye, the light stopping until it was about four feet. Than the three prongs also fired a beam of orange light focused at the point of the first beam. Once all three beam's of light collided the light suddenly expanded and began to take shape.

The beam's got wider and wider, as line's of light were drawn were the beam's intersected. Than finally after several seconds Eddie could clearly see what it was... a Keyboard... several keyboards intact. All of various sizes and stiles, Six Keyboards in total were formed. Three lower and three upper boards, each arranged in a half octagon pattern around JJ.

"Woh ho ho haha!" Eddie yelped with excitement. It hadn't taken him until the keyboards had actually formed to know what it was. He had his suspicions the moment he saw that lensed device. Then again, he had only heard about these things. he had never actually seen one.

"That is AWESOME!" He cheered. "We are in the business now!" Eddie's eyes lit up with excitement. "Well are you going to leave me hanging all day or are you going to play something?" He said with an almost uncontrolable smile.

"Oh... It doesn't work yet...." JJ said in all mock seriousness before he started laughing. "OK so it does work, give me a sec." JJ said as he wandered over to the thick black curtains on the windows and closed them. The room was plunged into darkness only a shadow illumination could be seen around the Holographic pianos.

"Gotta set the mood." JJ said smoothly as he took his place behind the glowing keyboards. "You might wanna sit down." He said to Eddie, "This is gonna blow you away."

JJ began fussing with a few of the button's on one of the keyboards and started up a rhythmic base tune before moving onto another keyboard where he began to play... As he played the air began to fill with glowing ball's of light, which zipped about the place in tune with the music, some exploded into showers of technicolored explosions, others sent out ray's of colored light in every direction.

JJ's eye's shone brighter than the sun making him rather difficult to look at, as the light in the room danced about to the music. JJ played like a veteran performer his light show's only engorging the music with shear beauty and pleasure.

Eventually the music began to fade, the lights along with it until both had stopped and the two were left in the darkened room...

"Hot damn!" Eddie said, clapping enthusiastically from his place on JJ's bed. He still couldn't see since his eyes were adjusting to the darkness after the show of bright light.

After he finished clapping, Eddie spoke - "I think I need to say this again, just in case it isn't already obvious. We are going to be awesome!"

Another idea popped into Eddie's head just then. "It was a cool light show too. But it reminds me of a point I forgot to make. I want to try and keep this band separate from my super hero career. I won't be using my skills to project music while on stage. If we have you putting on light shows like that it might give us away." That was when JJ was witness to a rare event indeed. Was that a frown stretched across Eddie's face? It just goes to show how serious he was about this.

[Kavos]

"Hey chill, I figured I'd probably be a no-power's sort of gig." JJ said as he opened the curtain’s to let the light back in. "I'm good with all form's of light, even tech based ones. I'll be able to buy some good laser light equipment next month and I'll be able to set up a program for them. It won't be as good as my own powers, but It would be realistic." JJ said with a smile. "Mind you... A Super-Hero-Band would be awesome!" JJ said with a huge grin.

"But anyway don't you want to hear how I got hold of this thing?" JJ said as he knelt down hitting a switch. As he stood back up the Keyboards faded as the device powered down.

Not waiting for a response JJ began, "You see My father own's a company called Hologen... well sort of, We both own it, but I'm not old enough to do anything But it was my Idea, my Dad just own's it until I'm legally allowed to. Anyway They specialize in Lighting, Namely holography." JJ explained.

"For the most part It's not that well known. Holographaic's is still in the exsperimental stage and there isn't much call for them. Despite this The company is set up to develop holographic technology so that when there is a future need We'll be on the for front of advancement."

"So A few years ago, I saw this thing called a Laser Piano. It's Basically a small device that project's a keypad onto a flat surface. Than with the aid of sense's you can play it like a normal keyboard. I was intrigued by this idea, So I wen't to the board and proposed my idea."

"Using our Holotechnology, as well as incorporation sensor's our scientists realized they could create a working prototype of a Holographic Keyboard." JJ continued.

"It took them several years, but they eventually did it. This being the end result." JJ said finally finishing. "Technically there only on a Order by Order basis, the cost of creating them is a tad to much for most people to afford for the time being, but give it a few years and you'll start seeing more and more of them." JJ said with a grin.

"Mind you... A Super-Hero-Band would be awesome!" JJ said with a huge grin.

Eddie's frown completely disappeared, "Oh don't think I haven't considered it. I just worry what kind of effect it will have on the other aspects of our lives. There's a reason we don't tell people who we are, you know..."

"But anyway don't you want to hear how I got hold of this thing?" JJ said as he knelt down hitting a switch. As he stood back up the Keyboards faded as the device powered down.

Eddie sat quietly while JJ told his tale. With all of the dorm room's treasures, somehow he had expected nothing less. "Man... That's awesome. I wish my family was that cool. Thing is... My parents are kinda lame. Thats part of why I'm trying so hard to make a name for myself."

[Kavos]

JJ shrugged, "It has it's up's and downs. The Up side is all this worthless junk... the down side... all the exspectation's." JJ said as he finished putting the Holographic Keyboard away.

"So am I in?" JJ asked despite already knowing what the answer was.

*snerk!* Eddie scoffed, "What do you think?" Eddie hopped down off the bed. The way I see it, it doesn't matter who our parents are. We're going to rock all the same."

Eddie began walking towards the door. "Now come on. We've got us a guitarist to find. I remember James saying something about playing guitar. Let's go see if he wants to join up."

[Kavos]

"That we are." JJ said enthusiastically as he followed Eddie out.
