As he slides under Atlas's arm, Shatter Point reaches out and grabs a hold of Atlas's wrist. Suddenly, Atlas' momentum slows to a crawl and he is frozen in place, exactly like Gossamer. Shatter Point looks at the 3 immobile heroes in the room, and cranes his neck to see the hole Wesley had gotten blasted through. He lets out a long whistle. "Damn I'm good. Hey you lunk heads hurry up with that loot! Coppers'll be here any minute."

The heroes are still staggering from Shatter Point's assault. Shatter Point uses the time to shake the ice off of his goons, covering the ground in broken ice. "Alright you yabohs, get that truck full to the brim, pronto. This ain't permanent you know. Drake, Henley. Toss Malcolm and Burns in the truck while you're at it. Losers couldn't even take one good shot, I'm docking their pay."

Suddenly there was a flurry of movement in the bank. Gossamer was moving again. "That does not belong to you." She states simply as one of her tendrils of hair sweeps over to the bank vault, and slams into one of the goons before wrapping around him and chucking him across the room. How did they get over there so fast? mused Gossamer at the sudden relocation of everyone. However it was a question to be addressed later.

Wesley groans and shakes his head as he picks himself up. Remembering where he is, he rushes back into the bank to see what is going on. This is madness, he thinks, gotta do something drastic. This time the tentacles did not come from his eyes, they are much too thick and large. They painfully grow out of his back, one for each of the invaders. Crashing through the scenery, they hit the would be thieves hard.

Wesley's attack is devastating. Most of the goons who had been robbing the place blind are immediately incapacitated, with only a few still groggily moving about. Shatter Point's force field protects him from the worst of it, but the cracks running along the shield become more pronounced. Shatter Point rounds to see who had dared to assault him, but before he can get the words out, his jaw goes slack and he is momentarily silent. In a word, it was satisfying.

One of Shatter Point's remaining goons had the wherewithal to realize that it was his time to get the heck out of dodge. He scrambled up into the vehicle and slammed the doors, leaving his compatriots to fend for themselves. In all likelihood he would probably want to make his way to the front of the vehicle and then drive away, but it'll take him a moment.

Shatter Point for his part, takes the recent turn of events in stride... foooor all of about 2 seconds before he flips his lid. He beings ranting about how "this was supposed to be a simple job", "you can't find good help", and of course the "meddling goodie goodies". He of course uses far coarser language than would be allowed to air even on late night HBO.

Shatter Point first rounds on Gossamer. "I gave you a chance to sit this one and this is how you repay me!? But, no! You had to be the hero! Well this is what happens to heroes!" as he unleashes a furious blast at Gossamer, as he finally looses his cool. Gossamer is lifted off her feet and flung to the opposite side of the bank where she lands in a heap of golden hair.

NO! The color drains from Atlas' face as Gossamer is sent flying. His face screwed up in a scowl Atlas rounds on Shatter Point. "And this is what happens to the bad guys!" roars Atlas as he connects with a strong right cross to Shatter Point's chest. The force of the blow sends Shatter Point reeling as he is knocked across the back. He's still on his feet, but his knees are quite shaky, one more good shot ought to do it.

Looking around, Wesley sees that he has not taken out all of the 'bad guys'. The unjolly red giant is taking on the leader of the pack personally. If this next trick works, he'll join him... If the raging beast leaves any. Slowy the tentacles snake out of his back again. Aiming them at the 'bad guys' that aren't preoccupied, he takes his second shot at them.

The remaining goons were quickly dispatched by Wesley's attack. One of them was still conscious, but threw his hands up in surrender "Dude! I give! I give!" At the same time, Atlas leapt forth and clubbed the weakened Shatter Point with a double axe-handle smash. Shatter Point's force field finally failed, and Shatter Point went flying into the dozer where he collapsed on the ground, out like a light.

For a moment there was silence in the bank before those gathered began clapping and cheering for the heroes.

Wesley limps over to the fallen heroes. Reaching Gossamer first, a tentacle pops out of the palm of his hand. It's tip touches her on the forehead and there is a bioluminescent indigo about her. A few seconds later it looks like she hasn't taken a scratch at all. Next over to Boomer to heal his wounds the same way, then to Atlas, finally himself; then retracting the vein. The lived they saved today gives him a feeling of what it means to be a hero. What it used to be like. Maybe one day he'll do it in earnest again. Looking to Atlas, the umbering beast, he reaches out for a hand shahke, "Good job, man."

While Wesley was reviving the other heroes, Atlas moved the tank/dozer outside, but not before ensuring it wouldn't be leaving under its own power. After being revived by Wesley, Gossamer and Boomer went to secure the goons and Shatter Point before the police could make their appearance on the scene. As Atlas re-entered the bank, he was healed and greeted by Wesley.

Atlas slowly reached out with his right hand, and shook Wesley's hand with his pointer finger and his thumb. Unsurprisingly, it was a rather firm handshake, though Atlas did avoid crushing Wesley's hand. Then Atlas cracked a smile and in a quick motion scooped up Wesley in a hug "You did well!" shouted Atlas at an unnecessarily loud volume. He put Wesley gently back on the ground, while laughing boisterously.

"Well," Wesley chuckles, "That was a first." Looking up to the big man, Wesley puts his hands behind his head and grin, "It looks like we won't be getting our banking done here. My name is Knight, by the way."

"Zey call me Atlas. says Atlas jabbing his thumb into his chest. His smile falters a little as he observes the damage done to the bank. "Da, it is a shame about ze bank. It vill take zem a while to get everyzing back in order. But, hey no one got hurt and zat is ze important zing right?"
