She was taken/called to olympus to fullfill her destiny or some such.

I gathered that I was hoping for a bit more detail. Did a portal open, someone call her from the other side, and she step through? Or did some Olympian beastie swoop down and carry her off?

She put on a crown and was whisked away via portal. She went willingly at first but got frightened at the last second.
