ex3lev3n Posted September 23, 2009 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Narrowly avoiding the prone form of the cyclist as he slowed his vehicle and swerved around the thug, Midnight continues his pursuit of the ambulance, keeping an eye open for another attack from the cyclists, Midnight floors the pedal and turns into the reverse lane in an attempt to overcome the emergency vehicle and merge into the same lane.Drivechecks Link to comment

Unfortunately, the maneuver wasn't quite as successful as it could have been. The ambulance made a quick turn down a side street! The riders followed the ambulance, shooting at Angel as they rounded the corner. They hit nothing but air. Link to comment
Angel Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Detimined more than ever to catch the freakin ambulance, Angel stomped on the board and swiveled it around to keep up with it on the turn. Appararently she took the turn too wide and was still behind the ambulance. Nowhere even near it. Link to comment

She had her wor cut out for her if she was going to catch the thing. Also, she seemed to have left her back up behind. Hopefully they would be catching up rather soon. Link to comment

Phobia, his protective gauntlet unraveled and wrapped itself around him, shielding his back from the impact with the concrete. THUD, barely had he hit the ground, before he used the momentum of the fall to roll backwards over his shoulders, getting back up on his feet in but a second. Then unraveling himself through reality, he stepped onto the ambulance, mentally commanding his blade to create shards of itself, he sliced the air in front of the ambulance’s hunters, sending shards of his blade hurtling towards them, before disappearing again, only to appear in the seats below him. quotemyname Posted October 7, 2009 Author Share Posted October 7, 2009 The being known as Dalkaresh blinked out of existence briefly and reappeared on top of the ambulance. From that vantage point he launched a vicious attack on the cyclists below. Bands of glowing energy shot out of his weapon. The first rider was struck by one of these band, and wrapped up, and thoroughly relieved of his motorcycle which when skittering off to the side of the road without him. Seeing what happened to their friend, the other two made it their business to duck, and succeeded in getting away from the vicious assault. From there, Dalkaresh blinked out of existence once more. --- Dalkaresh blinked into existence inside the ambulance. What he saw lowered his spirits. "An' ta 'tink, we wazent gonna join ya fight. Ya' gon' an' dunit now!" The man was so big he barely fit in this ambulance. He was wearing all black sweats and a ski mask. Next to him stood a woman, dressed the same. She, however, said nothing. She simply drew a small gun that looked nothing like a pistol and fired it at him, but missed due to his shifting form. The big man drew his fist back and socked Dalkaresh right in the nose, taking advantage of his momentary disorientation. The sucker punch rocked Dalkaresh quite hard... --- A few seconds later, Angel, Midnight, and the cyclists saw Dalkaresh burst out of the side of the ambulance and go skittering off to the side of the road! Apparently there was something in the ambulance that had wanted him out! Link to comment

Muscling past the motorcyclists, the Night Cruiser switched lanes, coming up on the ambulance. When the vehicles are adjacent to one another, Midnight scanned the ambulance. Link to comment

She puts her arm out through the hole and aims a small gun at Angel. An energy blast discharges and connects with Angel's board! Link to comment

After such an affront, Angel tried to catch up but the energy must have slowed her down. That didn't stop her from trying to blast the woman who tried to blast her! Link to comment
quotemyname Posted October 14, 2009 Author Share Posted October 14, 2009 A lot of things happened all at once. The ambulance continued to speed on, and Angel could not keep up. As she faded away from the Ambulance, she blasted the woman who had stuck her head out. She couldn't pull back into the ambulance in time, and the shot grazed her against her arm. That's when the cyclists dropped back to get even with Midnight's car. They proceeded to batter the windshield, hood, and roof of the car with their assortment of bat, crowbar, and chain. Three direct hits clunked soundly off of the car. Dalkaresh continued to reel from being hit by the big man. Though he looked like he was coming out of his stupor, he still couldn't get to his feet, and the impromptu street race sped on away from him. Link to comment

The motorcyclists had him pinned in, but Midnight was testing them, trying to jockey for an opening. The sooner he caught up with the ambulance, the sooner this mystery would be solved. Although Dalkaresh was out of the running, now, he had given them vital information. They now knew that this Ambulance was not on the level. The female in the ski mask leaned out through the gap and fired a laser blast at the grill of Midnight's car. Two of the Cyclists kept pace with him and hammered at his wheel wells. Angel's board was slowing down, and her ability to tail the Ambulance was diminished. However the third cyclist was easily able to keep pace with her. He attempted to attack her with a baseball bat, but she dodged the attack easily. Link to comment
Angel Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 Stupid board. Stupid laws of physics, Angel thought rashly with a growl, I need something faster. She could barely keep up with the ambulance now. To make it worse one of the bikers was swinging something at her! She decided to take her frustration out on his skull from above with a magically charged kick! Floating a little bit above the biker, she did a handstand on the board. She grasped on to the side of it to hold on. With a mighty swing from above, the board flipped over with her hanging from it! Carrying though she aimed for the biker's head with both feet, intending to knock him off his bike. With fluid motion she and the board return to the upright position with her still in a handstand. Carttwheeling, she returned to her feet. Link to comment

Although the attacks did no real damage to the Night Cruiser, they were enough to keep it from gaining any ground on the ambulance. Looks like we'll have to do this the hard way, then. quotemyname Posted November 3, 2009 Author Share Posted November 3, 2009 Angel and Midnight had been pursuing this ambulance through the fens for nearly a good 30 seconds of pedal-to-the-metal action. They were quite surprised when the ambulance suddenly swerved off the street into a parking lot. It swerved into position near the building at the end of the shallow lot. The lot itself was only went about 50 feet off of the road where it met a low building that looked like a warehouse. It was against the delivery doors for this warehouse that the Ambulance now sat. While the ambulance swerved off the road, the cyclists kept going. They sped off down the road, and would soon be out of sight. Pulling into the lot, Both Midnight and Angel could see people getting out of the Ambulance. There were four figures there. All were wearing black with ski-masks. Two of the figures had gotten out of the driver and passenger-side doors. The other two figures had lept out of the hole in the back of the ambulance. There were two men and two women. One of the men that had jumped out of the back was enormous and stood well over six feet in height. The other man was of more average height. The two women stood by the ambulance and seemed to be waiting for something. "Oi!" The average height man yelled, pulling his mask off. He was blond and clean-shaven. "You lot're a big thorn in my side! Hammerhead, Blondie, take care of 'em. Ghost, get the door!" "Yes sir!" The other three called out in unison. The one girl that had gotten out of the passenger's seat suddenly turned into a translucent for and floated up off the ground. The big man at the back of the ambulance took a few steps forward and slammed his hands together. The girl at the back of the ambulance also peeled off her mask, but simply stood where she was and let her flowing golden hair wave about while she brandished her laser pistol. Link to comment
Angel Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 When the truck swerved into the parking lot, Angel went invisible to sight and sound. She had her prey cornered. It was time to deal some invisible ass kicking of justice! As she waited to acertain what Midnight was going to do, she floated toward the blonde chick with the gun. Unless she was a powered individual herself, there was no way she could sense Angel from ten feet away. She kept her attention between Midnight and the blonde girl as she started her ginga. Gracefully moving backward and forth, her acrobatics mixed in with the dance... Link to comment

Slamming on the breaks when he saw the ambulance, he drew his gas gun and let a cloud of smoke fill the Night Cruiser before he opened the door and stepped out. He could see through the thick black mist, and the four that disembarked the ambulance could not. "It's getting dark", he spoke through the Midnight Mist. Link to comment

Hammerhead called out as he moved his massive from across the parking lot at an alarming rate. The man was extremely fast for someone his size! Hammerhead charged straight into the cloud created by Midnight. He knew what side of the car that midnight had gotten out of the car at, but there was no way he was going to be able to see much else. Hammerhead simply waited, chomping at the bit to hit something. "Come out, come out, whereva y'are!" "Oh, he'll come out. Won't you, big boy?" Blondie called out in her sing-song voice. She strutted towards the midnight cruiser and bent forward to blow a kiss towards the cloud of mist. When she straightened up again she winked towards where she thought Midnight might be standing. With a cartwheel and a backflip she moved ten feet infront of the blonde girl again, waiting for her to move again. This tim she wouldn't miss. Link to comment

Looks that were so good in fact that they caused Midnight to hang on Blondie's every word. He found he could do nothing but stand and stare at her for the time being. Meanwhile, back near the ambulance, the one called Ghost zipped off towards the shutter door of the warehouse saying, "I'm off to get the door, sir!" and with that she passed right through the shutter door. A few seconds later, it started to open, and Ghost's translucent form could be seen behind the door at the control box. "Great job, Ghost!" Shouted the leader as he took off towards the entrance of the warehouse. He stopped directly before it, ...and started transforming? It was true. It was like something out of Transformers: The Movie! The guy got down on his hands and knees, started growing in size, and before long was the size of a large delivery truck! The truck was black with blue stripes and grey trim. The doors to the back of the truck opened up a metallic voice started echoing over the parking lot. "Load up the cargo, Ghost!" Link to comment

"I did at that, Hammerhead." She responded. "Damn! I wanned ta smash'em to! Ah well. Guess I'll settle fer tha otha one." Hammerhead cracked his knuckles, but otherwise remained within the cloud. "Now why don't'cha come here so I can get a better look at you?" Blondie used her most compelling tone of voice to get Midnight to do her bidding. "And take off that ugly mask while you're at it!" quotemyname Posted November 5, 2009 Author Share Posted November 5, 2009 ... had Blondie not been waiting for a surprise attack! The crooks had noticed two heroes during the chase. And heroes weren't ones to quit. They knew that she would still be around somewhere. When Blondie was suddenly attacked, she reacted quickly, firing a shot from her laster blaster right into Angel's stomach. The blast was enough to send her reeling, and unfortunately for Angel, that gave Hammerhead the opening he needed to rush in and deliver a punch of his own! Things went from bad to worse for Angel as she got knocked off her board after taking the punishment. Link to comment
