In Brief: A girl who been left draconic features as a result of the energies of the Terminus mixing with a latent hereditary curse. She seeks to fight against those who would prey on the downtrodden and also against the prejudices against those who have been touched by the Terminus.

History:

 

Angela Green once was the spoiled single child of two hard-working parents. Her father and mother both worked well paying white-collar jobs, both of them working as accountants at different companies. During her childhood, Angela was given everything she needed and many things she didn't need.

Angela Green carries a hereditary curse from her father's side (that had weakened over the years, to the point of basically being an myth- curse originating from dark nazi magic experiments to recreate Fafnir) got in contact with Terminus energies and became active again. Her Father... ended up lost, presumed dead in the chaos. Maybe he ended up transformed who knows (this is a plot hook so the answer is probably yes).

Due to the declining home financial situation a year or so later, Angela took to stealing both to survive as a way to try and get the luxuries she had access to before. This triggered the Curse and resulted in her quickly developing kleptomania and issues controlling herself. Passing by a jewelry store, she completely lost control of herself and tried to do a smash-and-grab in broad daylight as she turned into a draconic monster.

Superheroes intervened and once defeated she reverted to a... mostly humanoid form. Her limbs were left in a draconic form and had wings, tail, and horns that refused to go away... Once it was confirmed that she had lived in the Ashton area during the 2018 Invasion, her changes were written off as being due to TEMS. Though Angela was left in a state where she had to be kept restrained due to being unable to control herself.

Baffled, the doctors discovered something when they  investigated further into her family history and found records strange disappearances and a history of 'dragon-like' behavioral issues such as Angela as suffering from now. Her affliction was confirmed to be partly mystical in nature, partly Terminus related.

Once that was revealed, a more effective 'cure' for her mental issues was able to developed and she now attends Claremont as a Sophomore (having missed a year) as it's the only school that could really deal with her if she was to go berserk for some reason.

what kind of tech and/or medical foundations would have been best equipped to deal with Angela while they were figuring out how to get her combined TEMS/Mystical Curse condition under control? What kind of place would even be equipped for that?

And... does mixing Terminus stuff with latent mystical curse stuff out of mythology work for this setting?

It does sound like Archetech would be a place she might have gone, they deal in a lot of super-bioscience and trying to safely handle Terminus stuff
