KnightDisciple
What kind of vantage points are closer to the "random" people that we've spotted? How easy/hard would it be for us to traverse over to somewhere above/nearly above them? Link to comment
RocketLord
They're standing in front of a building that can easily be reached. There's the broken street lamp as well. Getting to that will bring you closer, but also make you easier to spot. Link to comment
RocketLord
Alright, give me an Initiative roll and any other rolls you'd like to make. Link to comment
KnightDisciple
Hm Initiative: 6. Ugh Notice: 22. Link to comment
RocketLord
Nevermore: Init: 14 Notice: 12, oh no, I've gone blind The Born Loser Init: 14 Usher Goons Init: 9 So, the main objective here is not to defeat all the enemies, but to get away with the would-be Whistleblower. It will take 5 rounds to get out of there, if we manage to spend at least 1 move action on the same turn to move away. Getting involved in combat and not moving will slow that down. Whisteblower will move with either Nevermore or Raven, depending on current position. Right now, she's with Nevermore. Before we begin: Give me a Knowledge [Streetwise] check to see if you recognize the leader of the group. 14 - The Born Loser - Unharmed 14 - Nevermore II - 5HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 0/5 9 - Usher Goons - x20? Standing 6 - Raven III - 3HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 0/5 X - Whisteblower - Unharmed, with Nevermore - Distance Covered: 0/5 Link to comment
KnightDisciple
Alek has no Streetwise, but he has Jack of All Trades and Beginner's Luck. I think that'd let him spend an HP to roll the check with +5? At a glance at his Feats I don't think I have another combo that'd let him do that better. (Really need to buy him ranks in this). RocketLord
Yep, you can do that! Link to comment
KnightDisciple
Right. Knowledge Streetwise (Int+4, +5 from Jack): 12. Link to comment
RocketLord
Rolling for Charlie too: 13 They both know that the Devil's Advocates are a violent motorcycle gang causing trouble. There's rumors that their leadership might have powers. The Born Loser does a search check to try and find the heroes and moves down the street: 29 What a roll. Give me an opposed Stealth roll, then I'll post with Nevermore and the goons after. Nevermore stealth: 27, so close. 14 - The Born Loser - Unharmed 14 - Nevermore II - 5HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 0/5 9 - Usher Goons - x20? Standing 6 - Raven III - 2HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 0/5 X - Whisteblower - Unharmed, with Nevermore - Distance Covered: 0/5 Link to comment
KnightDisciple
Raven Stealth: 18. uuuuuggggghhhhh I'll keep it since Charlie botched it. We can write it as Alek's foot hitting a loose brick that drops or something. He can run distraction or something this round. Link to comment
RocketLord
Since they're spotted, Nevermore's gonna put down some darkness Obscure so Charlie and Alek should be able to see with their night vision goggles. Then he's gonna move with the girl to get her out of there. The goons can't target us because of the Obscure effect, but we gotta move out of it to escape. You're up. 14 - The Born Loser - Unharmed 14 - Nevermore II - 5HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 1/5 9 - Usher Goons - x20? Standing 6 - Raven III - 2HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 0/5 X - Whisteblower - Unharmed, with Nevermore - Distance Covered: 1/5 Obscure effect Darkness Link to comment

Noise grenade! DC 15 Reflex and then Fort vs the Auditory Dazzle. Extra Effort for a move action to catch up with Nevermore. Link to comment
RocketLord
Born Loser: Reflex: 15, just made it Fort: 28, nope Rolling twice for the goons, once for two main groups. Reflex: 24, 13 Fort: 12 24 Half of the goons are dazzled, give me an IC. 14 - The Born Loser - Unharmed 14 - Nevermore II - 5HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 1/5 9 - Usher Goons - x20? DC20 Reflex Save vs. Area, then DC20/15 Fortitude save vs. Fatigue! Nevermore's saves: 12, but Evasion 2. Fort vs. DC15: 15 Just made it. KnightDisciple
Reflex Save: 25. Fortitude Save: 25. Link to comment
RocketLord
Charlie drops an auditory illusion at his current position, then takes a move action to move further away with the Whisteblower. Once he's away, he'll activate the illusion to make it sound like he's bickering with the Whisteblower. The goons are tricked and fire at the sound, hitting nothing. You're up! 14 - The Born Loser - Unharmed 14 - Nevermore II - 5HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 2/5 9 - Usher Goons - x20? Standing, half auditory dazzled (Fort 13 to recover on Init 6) 6 - Raven III - 2HP - Unharmed, Fatigued on next turn - Distance Covered: 1/5 X - Whisteblower - Unharmed, with Nevermore - Distance Covered: 2/5 Obscure effect Darkness Link to comment
KnightDisciple
Raven spends an HP to avoid Fatigue. He takes a standard action to toss another one of those auditory dazzlers down. And a move action to catch up to Nevermore and the whistleblower. Link to comment
RocketLord
Born Loser: Reflex: 22, makes the save Fort: 15, makes the save Rolling twice for the goons, once for two main groups. Reflex: 23, 7 Fort: 22, 19 All make the saves, still. Goons try to recover from Dazzle, DC13: 10, half are still dazzled. The Born Loser is on the move, running after Nevermore's auditory illusion. Charlie does two move actions with the Whistleblower. The goons shoot at random in the darkness again, hitting nothing. 14 - The Born Loser - Unharmed 14 - Nevermore II - 5HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 4/5 9 - Usher Goons - x20? Standing, half auditory dazzled (Fort 12 to recover on Init 6) 6 - Raven III - 1HP - Unharmed - Distance Covered: 2/5 X - Whisteblower - Unharmed, with Nevermore - Distance Covered: 4/5 Obscure effect Darkness Link to comment
KnightDisciple
IC later but I think I'll do the 2 move actions as well since TBL is off-course. Link to comment
RocketLord
I think we'll just skip ahead to Alek, Charlie and the witness getting away now and leave combat, since they're too far away, anyway. Link to comment
