Utopian

Talia

Face Claim: Fatality (DC Comics)

Name: Talia Monroe (not her birth name)

Apparent Age: early twenties (actually much older)

Height: 6 foot

Weight: 152 pounds

Ethnicity: Utopian

Hair: Brown

Eyes: White

Ideas

  • A clone, made by SHADOW, maybe with implanted memories, sleeper agent style.
  • Or maybe they escaped or were rescued before indoctrination.
  • A generally curious person who wants to get out and see the rest of the world. Takes lots of notes.
  • The next Envoy?
  • An exile for some reason.

Skills

  • Diplomacy, maybe Gather Information
  • Obscure Utopian Knowledges
  • Languages
  • Acrobatics, Climb, Swim
  • Maybe some Perform?
  • If a clone, some Bluff and Sense Motive

Powers

  • Super-Strength enough to hurl a car with ease
  • Speed enough to run as fast as a vehicle
  • Leaping enough to get to high places, but not enough to be mistaken as Flight.
  • Either Impervious skin or bracelets that protect her
  • If bracelets, maybe some other magical powers
  • Delayed aging
  • Lessened effects of poisons and diseases, body can handle more than a normal human
  • On that note, maybe less need for sleep and food, and air. Still need to do it, just not as much

@Dusky Woman re: Exile/next Envoy, both can easily be true. While the Envoy of WWII was working for the leaders of Utopia Isle in an official capacity, this person could have selected themselves for the job after being exiled for doing something that threatened the secrecy or stability of the Isle. Disgruntled at the isolationist policies and placidity of her people, they actively bring the science and philosophy that ensures her home society is equal, kind and generous to the wider world.

Envoy and SHADOW sleeper agent are easily combined as well, since SHADOW would have access to at least three Utopians' genetic material and making people who are not who they seem, like the Imposter-Bots, is their gig.

The character looks pretty straight forward mechanics wise, which is often a good idea for a first character.

So, looking to help shave some points, there is one clear area where I can see a place to allow you to save a few.

I would put the Speed and Leaping into an array, so like this:

Movement Array  Base Power: Speed 4 (1 alt power) (5 PP)

Alt- Leaping 4

That saves you 2 points and even allows you to have one extra rank of leaping.

As for other possibilities, I am afraid that it mainly will be down to making some potentially tough choices.

Skills might be the first place to start.  With +10 strength bonus, you probably do not need 12 ranks in both Climb and Swimming, so I would consider cutting at least 4 ranks in each.  You probably will need to shave a few points here and there for the rest.

One minor thing to note is you do not have any Languages selected, you likely will need at least one point in Language for English (as Utopian would be her native)

You might have to consider dropping some points in your Will and Reflex saves.

Another possibility is dropping a couple points of Impervious Toughness to start. You could drop it to 8 or even 7 and she would still be bulletproof and immune to most normal attacks.

Heres what I did

Cut the bought saves in half, saved 6 points

Put swimming and climbing at 4, that's 4 points

Made Leaping an alternate power of speed, 3 more points

Aaand, turned the impervious toughness into a device. 2 points.

150/150
