  1. Madame Raven "Well you know my taste tends to go towards the classic, though the only musical instrument I can play is the tambourine! And I checked out a few of your tracks and I think you'll do great out there." she smiled reassuringly towards the band Any further discussion of the music was briefly curtailed by the arrival of the new kid, a little bit of a surprise but school had prepared her for most of the strange events that she encountered on the almost daily. "Claremont kid I'm guessing, the fact that you know Neko redikyatto seals thing really! I'm Callie and this is Charlie, and don't worry it's been a couple of years but we also went to the Academy!"
  2. Starshine Looking up at a sky full of Omegadrone Rosalind couldn't help but feel a sense of dread, but as her Gran says bravery was being scared but doing the right thing anyway. She fished out her lucky Goggles making a show of putting them on, as the bracelet and then the rest of her began to glow brightly. Even then the bracelet gave a little concerned chirp, potentially knowing just quite how dangerous things were going to be today. "I'm sure it will be okay, besides you're almost indestructible..." she gave the alien device a friendly little pat "Oh well, here we go...!" With that, she shot into the air firing off a burst of Hard Light towards the closest drone.
  3. Fly up and do a Hard Light attack on one of the 'drones Attack Roll: 1d20+8=27 DC 22 Toughness save. And yes I forgot they were minion and we can take 10, but I wasn't going to waste what might be my one good roll!
  4. Madame Raven A tuck a roll and as she came up she threw one of her Raven's Claw towards Mr Silk, a street fighter wasn't someone she wanted to face hand to hand until all other options had been exhausted. And she wasn't yet a 100% sure that he wasn't a meta, which would add an extra level of complication. "I hope you won't mind if this tiny dance avoids the street fighting man!" Keep to the shadow, keep moving and keep him off balance, that was probably the best way to fight the massive gang leader.
  5. Let's start with a Raven Claw attack Attack Roll: 1d20+12=19, if it hits a DC 21 Toughness.
  6. Madam Raven Callie wasn't sure if this was a deliberate play, or if he was really that focused on food, but she couldn't allow the man to leave the basement. Along with the food order he was bound to call the two guards upstairs along with whoever else was in the building or nearby. She'd have to play things close to her chest so as not to give herself away straight away. Crouching down she got herself in the best position she could so that as he passed by she struck out with her cape, hoping to knock the assistant down. The cape was designed to have extra length and could stiffen to provide a harder hit than expected from a simple cloth cloak. She didn't have time to see if the hit landed or how well. rolling away from the site as they'd obviously use that to try and score a hit on her.
  7. Madame Raven Callie looked at Summer's, a weird coincidence with the name, trying to remember if they'd had any bad experiences. She didn't remember any, but best to assume the worst here! "I was a bit of a loner back at Claremont, was working through some things. You could say that a part of me is still there..." she smiled inwardly at her own joke before giving her attention back to Charlie "Was off the grid a lot, but I got a bit of news here and there, we should grab a coffee and catch up real soon..." she paused before adding "Aw, come here you big lummox!" she gave Charlie a big friend hug before stepping back "Remember he's like a big brother to me..." she grinned, not wanting to cause any tension or trouble here "... besides he's really not my type!"
  8. Madame Raven In fact, she wouldn't be upset if the two went to war, there was no love lost between her and "grandpa" and Silk wasn't exactly putting his best foot forward. "Maybe I was in town for some excellent Dim Sum and I got curious about all this?" she couldn't exactly explain to the villain how she was here on a journey to find herself, and maybe find Dr Sin himself "And I've decided to make it my business, remember I did give you one opportunity to walk away!" she paused a beat before adding "I'm going to stop you because someone has to, and no amount of money is going to stop me putting you and your men down!"
  9. Madame Raven "The greatest ability of a martial artist is their mind, and my mind tells me I have the range and the darkness on my side!" she gave a little chuckle "And you are not a stupid man Mr Silk, I know that you're a kingpin here and despite your tastes, I'm sure you're more than capable of looking after yourself!" she hadn't seen him move yet but it was a good a guess as any. He seemed confident for someone facing a Raven with just two guards. Still, she shouldn't get too confident and continued to move as she stuck to the shadows. She was looking for a good opportunity as much as they were looking for her to make one mistake.
  10. Madame Raven "Ravens, like bad pennies, often turn up when not wanted..." she kept moving, kept things random so they couldn't predict her pattern "There's a whole family of us now, I'm not The Raven, but a Raven, Madame Raven at your disservice!" she didn't bow, continuously moving as she spoke, but it was implied by her tone "You're obviously a gentleman, and as you say I'm a long way from home, so I will offer you and your... friends... one chance to leave before things get messy! I won't ask so nicely again!" it hardly ever worked, but you never knew maybe this one time the enemy would surrender themselves and save her the trouble.
  11. Attack Roll: 1d20+12=18 good, but not good enough for my cool moment! Let's spend a HP for a reroll Attack Roll: 1d20+12=31! Initiative Roll: 1d20+15=33
  12. Madame Raven Black as a Raven's wing might be a misnomer but she was merged with the shadows as dark as the metaphorical wing, as black as the woman's (and her) hair. She could have probably kept to the shadow for longer, but she couldn't sit by and let the poor woman suffer any longer. <"Stop!"> Luckily the word was similar in both tongues. Not waiting for an answer she flicked open one of her raven-shaped raven claws and sent it spinning through space, aiming to knock the scissors from his hand. Callie didn't wait shifting position as it went flying, she'd have to face them directly at some point but for now, she'd stick to the raven-black shadows.
  13. Madame Raven After so long overseas it was weird for Callie that here she was considered underage when it came to drinking, but like a lot of things she had to get used to such things now she was back in the States. "I hope everyone's decent back here..." she popped her head around the changing room door, looking through her fingers "I probably shouldn't be back here, so I bought these..." she stepped around the door and offered up a dozen black roses. She'd managed to get hold of the band's t-shirt which she was wearing along with long shorts over a pair of tights and wearing some Ichio boots. "Hi Charlie, sorry I've not been returning calls, got a little distracted for a couple of years..." she looked at the others before adding "...and I'm being rude, I'm Callie Sen please to meet you all!"
  14. Disable Device: 1d20+15=21
  15. Madame Raven Callie spent a few moments watching how things unfolded below, trying to work out if there were any patrol patterns to give her a slot to sneak in unnoticed. The trapdoor was obviously something important, or made to look important it could be some kind of trap after for the curious like herse She shifted her attention to the skylight, quickly checking for any alarm before slipping through the open skyline into the warehouse. Onto the superstructure she rapidly made her way to the wall, dropping down into a darker part of the warehouse. Then back to the area where the trapdoor was positioned, pausing she looked from the shadows to see where the guards were before making any kind of move towards the trapdoor. She'd prefer to do this without a fight if possible, but if ti had to happen she wanted to be the one in control of the situation.
  16. As needed have skill mastery for 25 in Knowledge (Technology) for all the comm work!
  17. Starshine "I'm not sure people realise how massive this is all is! As sad as this is without what Centurion does the world we live in just won't exist, some of us might now even be heroes. Yes most changes in the timestream just cause a ripple, but this is something that could flood everything!" she took a deep breath and sighed "But we're heroes so we can't just hide away and wait for this to blow over, besides meeting my younger relatives would be really weird! Let's just promise not to go out and try and fight Omega okay?" she gave a weak smile "Lets go do this then!"
  18. The Traveller Sitara was quiet for a few moments as her fingers played across the keyboard, and then she looked up to the others. "I've synced our comms systems so we should be able to communicate without problem, I've also jammed them comms hopefully it will give us some time before they figure out what's going on!" As she spoke her armour began to deploy intricately carved bone white armour cogs moving and shifting as the armour covered her skin. "Moon-Moth, take over those that can't operate in space, those of us that can we'll attack directly and provide a distraction. Try and disable the power and weapons if you can." a blank faceplate finally deployed, and she took the two power weapons spinning them around dramatically "Unless anyone has other ideas obviously?"

  20. Your character, or one from a nearby dimension, finds themselves having to deal with everyday experiences in a small town. Birth, illness, or a Town Festival are among the many, many experiences that they may have to deal with, but no supers and no crime! Your small-town tales should be posted no later than the 30th April 2024. (As a reminder, vignettes follow the same general rules as posts in terms of content, player character limits, and so on. You may have only one vignette per player character. Each vignette should be at least one page (~500 words) in length; if posted in your thread counts at the end of the month, it is worth 1pp for the associated character. An especially long vignette, 1000 words or more, may be worth up to 2pp. Multiple players can collaborate on a single vignette - we recommend Google Docs for this, it's very useful - but the vignette should be about one page per participating player.)
  21. Madame Raven Callie looked around and made a few quick calculations. This wasn't even the hardest urban environment she'd ever had to travel through, those gagoyles were nice and all but a lot of European cities were pretty low lying. Another quick check and she made her move, relying on her plan rather than worrying about anything going wrong. Quickly she clambered up the shortest of the nearby, using her builtup speed to launch into the air. Then she'd used her grapple to catch the tallest of the building catapulting herself into the air using the grapple to build up even more speed. A twist and a spin in the air she used her cape to glide down over the fence. She only just made the fence, and was thankful that her boots had insulated soles, as she rolled and tumbled to the ground mostly unharmed. And roll and she was up in a crounch scanning for anyone that might have seen her, adequent, acrobatic manoeuvres. When she got back to Freedom CIty she was going to get one of those fancy Raven planes, so this wouldn't be a prouble anymore. It was that or learn how to fly! Sure that she was undetected she made her way stealthly to the warehouse before making, a much more leisurely, climb up to the roof of the building.
  22. The Traveller Sitara wasn't one to just sit back and just let things happen, though obviously, diplomacy had overridden such a thing. Now things had settled down she wanted to make sure, and the locals had helpfully shown her all the necessary communication protocol to piggyback her signal upon. She fired up the suits comms system, adding a holographic as an extra flex and contacted their leader. "Is everything okay down there Amara? Do you want us to come one down yet?" As tempted as she was to visit her old homeworld, protocol was more important in the situation. At least for now.
  23. That one's easy both have skill mastery for a total of 25 each. Smidge late I know but if still appropriate Gather Info: 1d20+15=17
