  1. Branson's Plaza The shapechanger wasn’t even bothering to hide his form, walking out if the lobby of the building still in his paramedic form. By now the security had been down and the square was beginning to quieten down, but crowds were still mingling around in case anymore drama was about to start. The shifter didn’t seem to worry about any of this instead he took a straight-line path through the plaza sending several people flying. Ignoring the cry and yells of the people he had sent reeling he instead made his way down to the curb. At the curb he hailed a cab as if nothing had happened.
  2. CEO's Office The CEO didn’t seem overly surprised by Synths transformation; instead she unsteadily got on her feet to check on her slightly shocked PA. After convincing the poor woman she’d be okay and to make sure Rosemary got sorted. Only then did she turn her attention back to Synth. “Please call me Nikki.†She looked Synth up and down “I think you good in anything, especially with that face.†Synth wasn’t quite sure, but she didn’t seem completely serious. “But this blouse is ruined. Please follow me.†She led Synth to a walk in closet filled with beautiful expensive clothes; beyond which was a bathroom, both of which were probably bigger than some of the dives Synth had stayed in. “My poor husband had these fitted. I’ve not quite decide a better use for these room yet, but at least today they have a use. Take what you want… I know you hero types don’t normally take rewards, but I was going to donate most of them to charity soon anyhow.†She took a small card and wrote something in letter that Synth didn’t recognize “If you need anything tailoring take it to this address and give them the card, they can do magic with almost any fabric. And if you'll excuse me I'm going to take a shower.â€
  3. k, Going to take the direct way out so my Toughness roll 1d20+11=15, that an Injury.
  4. She was taking one last look around the burning warehouse before she left when she spotted him. The corpse (hopefully) of the man who had started his whole business, the reason she was here. She should just go leave him to burn unknown and unknown… And yet that was exactly what he would have done, what he had done. Curse she hefted the body onto her shoulders and walked to the nearest window, it was the quickest way out and she couldn’t use the trash from earlier in case the man hadn’t exited yet. She simply stepped from the building, landing in a crouch to try and minimize the damage. She felt her ankle twist badly as she landed but nothing major. She could literally walk it off.
  5. See look this is what she does . Sense Motive 1d20+8=25
  6. Rhonda a friend of Revenant/Police detective I've used in other threads. As for my Gather Info I've only got the name, Kollwitz, the location and the Daylight vampire so I'll have to work from those. I'll go for the whole day so that would make the total 28.
  7. One last question, well two. Did they bother to take the old Dons corpse with them. And how far is the drop to the ground?
  8. Injury goes in, injury goes out . Toughness save 1d20+11-1=23, so on my goes i'm completly recovered, yay! Is there anyone stupid enough to still be in the building apart from myself?
  9. That cool, it mainly for fluff anyhow. So do I need to roll anything to find my information?
  10. Lucy spent a few minutes just taking in the sight and sounds of Anchorage while wandering the streets of the city. She was enjoying herself and really wanted to spend a good while exploring the new sights, but she was here for a reason and had important work to do back in Freedom City. So after a while she reluctantly found herself a little café that still owned a pay phone and ordered herself a very strong black coffee. Carefully dialling the number, and after help from the friendly waitress, she managed to get through to her friend in Freedom City.†“Hello Rhonda I need a favour.†“No I can’t come round and visit I’m in Alaska.†“Yes it’s a long story I’d like to tell you but I’m on a pay phone…â€
  11. Agnes was trying to follow Ada explanation of the plot to use the Bishops Amor to destabilize the region or upset the balance or something but her mind kept wondering to other things. First it was hard to keep up with the whole political situation, it was a little like reading about conflicts in far off lands it just didn’t seem in some way real. But mostly she kept looking at Ada. She could see that they weren’t exactly twin, this wasn’t some Star Trek like parallel world, but they were close enough to give her pause. She wanted to know about this woman, not the rose tinted version of those two love sick puppies. The tea seemed almost over so she took the initiative. “Excuse me gentlemen but I need a private word with Ms Wheatley. If you could escort the Bishop to the safely of the authorities Mr Trowell I will meet you there shortly.†Once she was sure that the two were alone she turned to Ms Wheatly. “Before we discuss any more matter of state do my mind if I ask a little about your past?â€
  12. Oh Az as a construct all damage I take is lethal, so that should have been Injured. As I dazed I can't do anything, except for my Regeneration, which means I'm now fine.
  13. “Well it looks like poor Cold Front is losing her cool!†She groaned inwardly at her own joke but said it anyway; it just seemed like that kind of day. She was still a little stiff but her mind was rapidly considering option, best to subdue the woman as quickly as possible and as she had helpfully come so close. With centuries of acclimated knowledge buried in her head she watched the villain blows waiting for the right time. Then gathering together all her strength she made a grab to try and pin her opponent.
  14. As the nice lady has come close I'm going to try a Grapple. First as a free action I'll out everything in my MIght Array into strength First the Melee roll 1d20+5=15, nope that ain't going to do let use on of those HP for a reroll 1d20+5=20. i forgot the modifier so that an 18 And my grapple roll 1d20+17=23
  15. Lucy spent a few minutes making sure that all the Atleanians were both unharmed and would harm them in future. Whilst she was doing all this she half caught Lord Steam conversation about the various people who were involved. So she stayed quiet and tried to kep up with the ebb and flow of the conversation. With the arrival of the new woman she saw her chance to step in and a least provide moral support, and possibly even help, Lord Steam. “Please listen to this man, I thinks it best if we all calm down. Obviously there a story going on her and I think we all want to hear it.â€
  16. As long as I can carry on with my turn without to much penality I'll keep the HP and take the dazed. And yes it's a taunt, sorry I forgot to say.
  17. After a quick check to make sure that the man would land safely and she held him out with only one arm. He seemed to struggle a little but she had a solid grip on him. So she turned her attention on the others. “I know what you’re thinking, she’s just a dumb hero she wouldn’t dare to drop a man to his death. But you know after all that voodoo magic I’ve come back a little different…†without looking back she dropped the man without seeming to care, noting the satisfying sound of him landing in the trash. Luckily only she could hear that. She gave a broad evil smile “Now you have to ask yourself is what she is going to do with each of us?â€
  18. I start at +19, but you never know 1d20+19=39, I think that's well grappled. Toughness saves : 1d20+11-1=11, 1d20+11-1=24, 1d20+11-1=27 (and yes I know the second and third should be at -2, but I don't think that matters this time ) I'm going to spend a Hero Point to counter the stun, I recover from 1 Injured, with still 1 Injured to go. First I'm going to drop the baddie saftly. Then I want to try and taunt the rest 1d20+11=20.
  19. Agnes gave a little sigh of relief; she had assumed the worse for the young woman. Know all she had to do is get the woman out and she could go home. Well maybe another pint first… “Please gentlemen if you could stand back.†She pushed them gently aside Without resorting to any kind of trickery of cunning, if had been a long couple of days, she crashed through the panel into the room they were holding Ms Wheatley. Almost instinctively she shifted back into her normal form, before coming face to face with her double, in the traditions of all good (and some bad) body double shows.
  20. Ms Hawthorne gave a weak little smile “I’m feeling much better, your friend did a wonderful job.†her voice carried a hint of an exotic accent. She pulled Synth close and whispered into her ear. “I think your friend is talking to one of those things that attacked me.†The quiet paramedic met Starlight stare with the strange dead eye she had seen in the other shapechaneger down in the square. But then suddenly like a switch the eyes lit up and it spoke in a slightly disembodied voice, like it was coming from some where else. “You can’t protect her all the time, Superhero.†And with that the shifter turned as if to leave.
  21. Lucy looked confused for a few moments “Why would I need my picture painting?†then realization dawned on you “Why you sly old dog. I knew there was more going on than that cranky old man routine.†She gave a playful tap on his shoulder. He smile faded as something important crossed her mind “Can you paint me in with some extra appropriate clothing? The cold doesn’t really affect me, but I’ll look strange wandering around in just a suit at four degrees Fahrenheit.†She gave a smile “It’ll make up from that dress you ruined. If you want I’ll return that replacement that’s in the mail.â€
  22. “No of cause not. Lady Fatale is an emotion controller, she gave me and Bluesman quite a few troubles.†She gave a sly smile “But she was close to the inner circle so she might be able to give us an idea of where to find whoever did this. Unless you want to try a few bars and see if anyone knows where they’re keeping whoever did that.†She gestured towards the corpse “Though once news gets out I doubt we’ll have any luck.†The sergeant almost swallowed his cigar for the third time with Whiplash’s appearance and looked like he was about to say something biting when a voice cut him off from behind, “It’s okay Sergeant I’ll take it from here.†The voice came from a young African-American woman. “Hi there I’d detective Rhonda Rhodes and you must be Whiplash. I must say you look much better than our pictures; all our photos are a little blurred. If I didn’t know better I’d think you didn’t like us.†Her smile suggested she wasn’t totally serious “If you’ll follow me…â€
  23. Player Name: Tiffany Korta Character Name: Blodeuwedd Power Level: 10 ( 150/150PP) Trade-Offs: "None" Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress To Bronze Status: 0/30 In Brief: A Welsh Ninja trained since an early age to battle rogue gods and spirits. Alternate Identity: Cerys Pefr Identity: Secret Birthplace:Caerdathyl, Gwynedd, Wales Occupation: Student Affiliations: Amddiffynnwr o Lleu Llaw Gyffes(Defenders of Lleu Llaw Gyffes) Family: None, orphaned at birth. Description: Age: 16 (DoB: 8th July 1996) Gender: Female Ethnicity: Welsh Height: 5’7†Weight: 125 lbs Eyes: Hazel Hair: Dark Brown Blodeuwedd is a pretty young woman but her features are not overly distinctive, the order has taken time to teach how to follow the fashion of the day. She could be any girl off the streets of Cardiff or Merhyr Tydfil. She is actually an attractive young woman, but unless she making an effort rarely apply make-up or styles her hair beyond a simple ponytail. Her body is lithe and athletic, a figure gained from years of dedicated training. Whilst she tries to dress in all the latest fashions, it always seem to come across as slightly off as if she doesn’t quite understand the whole process (which is close to the truth), she also tends to pick clothes which allow for movement in case of trouble. Power Descriptions: Blodeuwedd has no natural powers, apart from the years of training that has been provided to her by the Order. The Order has however managed over the centuries to have acquired, either legally, via industrial espionage and outright theft, a number of items both magical and technical. The best of this equipment has been given to Blodeuwedd to aid her in the mission. Each has been given a name after one of the fabled treasures of the British Isles. Bwa Hir Owain Glyn Dŵr “Longbow of Owain Glyndŵr†: An original medieval Welsh elm long bow which has been lovingly preserved by the order over the centuries. This is the only item not named after one of the thirteen treasures, the ancient Celts didn’t use bow. Instead the bow is claimed to be the weapon used by the last welsh Prince of Wales, Owain Glyndŵr, during his rebellion against the English. Dyrnwyn “White-Hilt†: Scholars of the order debate whether this sword is the actual mythical weapon or a similarly named item. The debate is centred on the fact that the sword is actually a more medieval broadsword than the more suitable Celtic designs. Like the mythical sword this one becomes covered in a magical fire when it is drawn. Gwyddbwyll Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio “The Chessboard of Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio : The google appear to be a set of oversized night vision goggles, and idea the do allow her to see in the dark. They do however contin a pair of specially prepared magical lenses that allow her to detect magical energies. Llan Tegau Eurfron “The Mantle of Tegau Eurfron : A tight fitting body suit weaved out of cutting edge materials which is not only light weight and flexible, but provides substantial protection to the owner. The suit is colored a dark blue to assist aid stealthy operations during night time. It’s light and form fitting enough that Blodewuedd often wears it under her normal clothing when pratical. Ffoniwch Eluned “Ring of Eluned†: This item is a alien ring, of unknown origins, which has been gifted to the order by one of their allies working from Cardiff. The ring projects a thin field of energy around the wearer which not only provides a degree of protection it also allows the wearer to camouflage themselves into the environment. History: Blodeuwedd never knew her parents, they died when she was young, all she has known is the sanctuary of the Amddiffynnwr o Lleu Llaw Gyffes (Defenders of Lleu Llaw Gyffes). The men and women of the order were caring people and she was raised in a loving caring environment, but from an early age she was trained as an athlete and a warrior. Trained to be an agent of the order. According to legend the Order was founded by Lleu Llaw Gyffes himself as a body of men (and later women) to help defend him and the Kingdom of Gwynedd (later Wales) from the vengeance from the goddess, and his mother, Arianrhod. Through the centuries the order has expanded there remit to defend the nation from any supernatural threat being from the Celtic gods and spirits. Mostly from within Wales but occasionally the acted on threats outside the country. A small and deeply secretive order they rarely concern themselves with matters outside of Wales, but in the last few years there augers and intelligence network, have heard rumours that one of the Celtic god or goddess have allowed one of their offspring to live in Freedom City in the United States. After much debate the order decided to send an agent to the city to monitor the situation. As the seer showed the main focus was an unusual school they needed someone of the right age to infiltrate the school. Blodeuwedd knew nothing about this; she was being trained to recover dangerous Celtic artefacts. The first she knew was when she was informed of her mission by the Order and sent to America to infiltrate the school. Her orders were simple, find out if such people exists and if they do what danger they present to the order. So far her first days in her new identity as Cerys haven’t gone well. On arrival at Claremont the Headmaster called her in and proceeded to tear apart her newly constructed identity, only to inform her that she had undergone an excellent training and telling her that she was welcome to stay. Personality &Motivation: Blodeudwedd is a quiet and reserved person with all her word and actions being carefully considered. She’s a quiet and conscientious student who watches everything and considers all the fact before asking questions. She a very stern and serious person who will have little to do with any kind of frivolity. Having grown in as part of a small order, based near a tiny village in North Wales, Bloeudwedd doesn’t have much experience with dealing with the vast multitude of people who live in Freedom City. She can come across as curt and rude, but ib fact is more than a little shy, not to mention awe struck. Powers &Tactics: Blodeuwedd has been trained to be a cautious fighter. She will spend as much time as possible calculating her enemy’s abilities and weaknesses, if possible at a distance from a hiding place. Then when she is ready she will strike quickly and swiftly trying to disable her opponent. She has had it drummed into her to always spare her hand against human enemies, only against the gods and their allies are she allows unleashing her full fury. Complications: I thank the Lord I’m Welsh: Raised by a very pro-Welsh Order Blodeuwedd is naturally very proud of her Welsh heritage, it takes a great effort of will to hide her nationality or even her accent. She, and the order, aren’t however rabid nationalist fighting for independence. In their mind if the Queen was unfit to rule the land then the land we become barren. Only then would they have to act. Secret Identity: Blodeuwedd know the importance of secrecy to both her personal safety and to the order as a whole. So she endeavours to keep up the facade of the cover story she has been provided with. Ceyrs Matters: Raised from birth in an isolated location with a focus on training for her chosen task Blodeuwedd has never had any concerned other than her duty. As Ceyrs she now has time to herself, and almost no idea what to do with herself. 24. I thought as much and then couldn't find the reference, just having an off day I guess. 1d20+11=30, I think that's just a hit . I'll wait until the next turn and make sure he's safe.
  25. The cold didn’t seem to bother Agnes at all, though it was making it difficult to move around. Trying not to reveal her weakened state instead she gave a confident smile as the light around her brightened. It wasn’t good practice but she focused on Cold Front, Starlight seemed to have her companion in hand she heard the woman calling out her condition. “I’m chilled enough already thanks. Whilst you on the other hand really need to lighten up…†With a simple flick of the wrist she sent a burst of light towards Cold Front.
