1. Starshine Things were going great, she actually sounded like a real superhero and something. And it seemed to be doing some good, they were speaking at least. Of course, such perfection was never going to last and she’d subtly looked at her cell as the conversation reached something resembling an important point. “Erm I have a small family drama…” she leaned in to whisper into her friend's ear “...nothing important but I might have to leave in a hurry.” she was genuinely sorry that this was happening right now “Mom this is a really bad time…” as with further bad timing she couldn’t really ignore the call “Give me a few minutes and I’ll call you back, I can probably pick something up in the city…” she whispered loudly into the phone trying not to distribute the others.
2. Sorry for the delay, needed a few recovery weeks! Initiative: 1d20+0=9
3. Starshine Rosalind was caught for a moment watching the show that Neko was doing downstairs, it was an impressive display and for a moment she forgot what needed to be done. Luckily Gawain got his attention back, she didn’t understand the language but she could work out the intent. Acting quickly she ducked inside the tower and threw on the cloak, as long as they didn’t look at her feet things should go rosy. Time was a wasting so she started to move deep into the building, hopefully some answers to be found inside.
4. The Immutable Betsy Brooks “I run on Cigarettes and Alcohol…” she paused before adding sheepishly “You probably had to be there, feel luck that I didn’t inherit my father’s tastes” This grin showed off her sharpened canine, and a tip of the sunglasses to show the glow behind the eyes. She left off the part about that being the extent of her vampire powers. “If it’s supernatural in nature I’d been naturally immune, though I’d be buggered if I could tell you the how’s and why’s. Though I have know enough people, and have enough favours that could be cashed in if you need a second opinion.”
5. The Immutable Betsy Brooks From the shadow came the light of a cigarette and Betsy stepped out holding a (mostly) full bottle of Jacks. “Nice trick kid, personally when I was your age I liked to beat up skinheads on a Saturday night. The bad kind obviously, they deserved the kicking believe me!” She smiled as much at the memory than to be friendly, the Jack was a helpful buzz but Betsy was in general friendly when she wanted to be. “Those Cape in there are all good people, but they won’t understand not like an old punk like me! So indulge an old girl and tell me what the problem is?”

7. Triakosia Dancia had once done a story about high-society women and how they were introduced to it all through a big fancy dance. With Katherine, Katie was off the table for now, hitting fifteen and Claremont beckoning it was time to let her meet some of the city's heroes. Triakosia landed a short distance away, as Katherine couldn’t fly more than a series of long jumps. They were wearing similar costumes and looked almost like sisters, rather than Daughter and (step) Mother (it was complicated), not ageing was nice but it did mean dressing your (apparent) age so people didn’t notice. Young Centuria, she pointed ignored the actual Latin-speaking Dancia pointing out that it didn’t mean what she thought it did, and looked around excitedly at all the supers young and old that had gathered at today’s party.
8. The Immutable Betsy Brooks Such was the way of things, one minute you were flirting with a dragon the next you were lost in the crowd. Betsy tended to be a realist about such thing, though maybe she should look up that Lung she’d meet in London’s Chinatown. Still, philosophy was never something to do sober, so she put her cigarette in her mouth and began patting herself down on the rare chance her matches had survived, whilst carrying out the important task of hunting for something alcoholic.
9. Diplomacy: 1d20+10 22
10. The Immutable Betsy Brooks “I’m flattered darling, but a girl's got to recover after a day like I’ve had. And no offense but I’ve been thrown out of much more prodigious locations than this!” She somewhat flirtatiously smiled, not quite showing as many sharpened teeth but defiantly more prominent eye teeth. “The name’s Betsy Brooks…” she offered a hand all lady like “I’m a… freelance problem solver for the supernatural community. Not as important as the work you lovely people do, but I like to think I help in my own little way!”
11. Starshine To be honest, Rosalind hadn’t expected to get this far, her glowing aura normally disallowed anything resembling stealth, so for a moment or two she thought about what to do next. They’d need to find out what was going on and chances were better if she was inside the building rather than on the wall. So with the soldiers distracted by Neko, she never failed to surprise with her skills Rosalind found, Starshine made a break for the building keeping an eye out for anything that could be used as a disguise. Hopefully, her luck would hold for just a few minutes longer…
12. Starshine Rosalind’s family wasn’t particularly well off, but they were incredibly house-proud and had kept things spotless even when they had nothing. But she was trying really hard not to judge, Shamong wasn’t Freedom City and she’d never had to grow up in these circumstances. So instead she tried to radiate confidence, which she didn’t have, and friendliness, which she luckily had in spades. “No Ma’am, not that that’s a bad thing obviously…” she added just loud enough for Consuelo to hear “… I’m just a normal kid from New Jersey that got luckily” Normally at Claremont she softened her accent, a lot of the less local students would struggle to understand her, but now she allowed her thick New Jersey accent to shine through. “My name is Starshine and it’s a pleasure to meet you, Mz Nunez, I have the pleasure of being a good colleague of your daughter!” no need to lie about that one.
13. The Immutable Betsy Brook It was meant to be a simple job, collect some movie from a vampire in Freedom City before flying back to the UK for crimbo. What she wasn’t expecting was some werewolf action due to some undead Romeo and Juliet-type stuff. The job was done but a perfectly good blouse was sacrificed in the process! Picking up a Freedom League jersey, the closest place that wouldn’t involve a complicated fashion montage, Betsy saw that the party and figured why the heck not, she was “technically” a super after all! Slipping past the greeter she made her way to the snack table, she’d not eaten all day after all, to a sight she’d not expected today. “Either you’re a bloody dragon, or they’re putting more than baccy in these things!” she gestured to a cigarette tucked behind her ear, she’d given up (again) but it’d been a long a tiring day.
14. Starshine Without thinking Starshine put herself between her friend and the gun, her aura glowing brightly. She’d been told that she should be able to take a bullet, but she didn’t particularly want to test the theory. “Sir I don’t think that’s a very good idea, please put down the gun so we can talk about this.” she put her arms out to show that she wasn’t going to cause any harm. The Bracelet gave confused warbling sounds, as an intelligent weapon it was still amazed by someone who chose conciliation over conflict.
15. Do we have any kind of comms going?
16. Low and fast through the foliage, to hopefully at least keep them distracted All Stealthy Like: 1d20+0 20
17. Starshine Rosalind began to glow faintly as she started to hover a few inches above the ground, and as she always did she fished her flying goggles out of her pocket and put them on her head. “Well it seems that my powers are working okay!” she looked at the others, thought this thing was still super weird for a simple girl from New Jersey “Should I maybe scout things out from the sky? They did say we should be all sneaky like!”
18. Starshine “On my honor as Junior Leaguer #252!” she gave a little salute along with a huge grin Her point made she made a roll to fly alongside trying better to match her speed with Consuelo, before noticing the cloud over Lincoln. She pointed it out to her teenage companion. “I’m sure the local heroes can deal with it, but if we’ve got the time we could maybe do a quick fly pass?” she kept her tone neutral, one of the big lessons they taught you at Claremont was you couldn’t, and shouldn’t, try and deal with every issue. It was a big city and lots of heroes out there to help the citizens.
19. Starshine Rosalind could never imagine four years ago that conversations about leprechauns would be normal subjects of conversation. To be fair she still sometimes had to remind herself that at Claremont this was what passed as normal. “With that whole mess with the ghost trapping me in our theatre a few months back, I guess the two of us really aren’t destined for the entertainment industry!” she smiled as she helped herself to another cookie. “Why did it do that for?” she tried her hardest to banish ideas of pots of gold and lucky charms from her mind, she was sure any nearby telepaths would be proud of her efforts.
20. Starshine Whilst she had a bond with the alien bracelet that gave her power, Rosalind didn’t always understand what it was trying to say. So whilst technically she had a few moment's warning of what was going to happen, she hadn’t been able to figure out the meaning of its frantic clicks and bleeps before they were whisked away to Neverland. Not that it helped with the rather sweeping running of events and she fiddled with the strap of the dungarees as she gathered her senses. Only she could feel self-conscious wearing her uniform in a school for supers, choosing to wear it under her dungarees as if it somehow made it a little less cringe-worthy. “My best guess is that some cosmic trickster…” it was hard to remember which, there were so many “… has either taken us back in time or dumped us in a Kurosawa film! All in all, it is not good, glowing powers do not make for a stealthy approach!”
21. Starshine Starshine tried, with various degrees of success, not to show off too often but she figured in this one very specific circumstance it was worth it to get Rot’s attention. So with a quick check that they were clear of obstacles, she began to fly facing Consuelo just slightly above the other teen's speed. “I know it took me a while to work it out but sometimes you need to consider the activity of Freedom itself. We need to take a slight detour so we don’t spook Carter and Kendra, the hawks that keep the runways clear of birds…” She’d remembered a school trip, which seemed like a thousand years ago, where she was very excited to meet the birds of prey. She took her bearings a gestured emphatically in one direction “If we go that way we’ll only add a few minutes with the added bonus of not causing a kerfuffle with the winged beasties!”
22. Starshine: Moving In - Girls (3) Family Matters (1) 3 + 1 = 4 posts = 1PP Ref point to Zhenschina-voin please.
23. Starshine Rosalind was normally a morning person, but she’d been burning the midnight oil to get a good head start on her studies. So a little bleary-eyed she’d answered the door in an oversized Freedom League T-shirt her hair a massive of red fuzz. She’d realised a smidge too late quite what a mess she must have looked like right now, still it was too late now and besides people had seen her look much rougher here. “Oh right good morning Consuelo, and Rosalind please…” she tried to lean nonchalantly revealing the Bracelet that she couldn’t help but wear, despite many attempts Rosie was probably going to stick “Will need me a few minutes to get ready, but now’s a good a time as any!”
24. Starshine Having been a hero for a couple of years, mostly here to be fair, she was fairly used to chaotic scenes. With a quick breath, she juggled everything that she needed to deal with right now. First, she tucked the card into a safe place, as fun as scientific adventures would be it wouldn’t be today. With a smile she offered a cookie to the newcomer, heaven knows what she’d think about all this. “It’s not normally quite so crazy around here! Let us know if you need a hand with things, I’m stronger than I look and my friend here can offer many, many, hands!” As she spoke she slipped on the friendship bracelet, despite the protests of The Bracelet, which may be because of her or the bracelet (she could never tell) but her aura glowed a deep purple. “Hopefully It won’t do that when we meet your parents…” she smiled at Rot “… because I’ll be more than happy to help out!”
