1. Jyad was very quiet as Dark Star spoke. When a chance offered, he tried speaking, "I... I..." He found it difficult to speak, for more than one reason. He thought to himself "What do I say to him?" Jyad was confused as whether Dark Star could have prevented this. If so, was he to blame? If not, could he have helped spare a couple Elderri lives? Or would he too, fall the the army of the Grue? Did the blame not fall on Dark Star, but rather Gehlanna's guardian, Jyad? Jyad did not speak for a time, just nodded at Dark Star's suggestion as he sat down, trying to calm down, keeping hope that there was someone, anyone else alive on this planet. The parasite-wielding Elderri was confused, and angry. Angry at himself, the parasite, Dark Star, and the Grue, yet he did not have the will to take it out on anyone or anything. For now, he could only rely on the dark, cosmic being that he had met years before.
2. Please add Rycon and Tank to the invasion!
3. Jyad's face showed concern as he read the letter. "Jyad, if you haven't noticed, some of our workers have gone missing. It would be a coincidence had they not be all from the same nearby area, Greenbank. Thus, I am calling foul play here. I've seen some of your abilities in action, and while I don't necessarily agree with your decision to moonlight as a superhero, this time I must put responsibility to you. Tank, find out what happened to the workers and recover them, if possible. Commissioner Aldern. Jayd looked back at Eugene Aldern, seeing him adjust his glasses while holding a hand out. Jayd gives the letter back and says "Yes Sir." as he walks to the storage room to get his costume without looking back to see his boss throw the letter into the nearby fireplace. Jyad enters the storage room to find his brown cloth outfit on a hook, ready to be worn. He takes it off carefully as not to rip the new suit, but ends up accidentally making two holes on the head so that his horns could show. Sighing, Tank walked out into the back alley, cracking his knuckles while shouting, "Tread On!" On shout of the cry, Tank's muscles started growing in size, bulking him up to the musclebound warrior that took to the streets to protect people. Satisfied that is costume didn't tear when he changed, Tank charged off to find the people that had gone missing. If only he knew where to look...
4. Earth was a mysterious place for outsiders, especially when Earth is a technologically superior to the planet they were originally from. It takes time for one such to integrate and be accepted by the populace of the city, and maybe a bit of luck so they don't reject you. The consequences can be brutal if the latter is true. While it is taking time for Jyad, he finds himself slowly getting used to a life on the planet he found so alien. He managed (with a little help from the other superheroes) to get a job with the building company nearby Greenbank, using his powers to assist in lifting and hauling equipment to hasten the process. Sometimes he works alone at night while everyone else is asleep cause to Jyad, he never get tired by simply working. Jyad woke one day to find a surprising number of the other workers missing, the other workers were just as baffled as the green-skinned alien was. A little later, he was called to the boss's office. Eugene was normally a man who didn't call his workers unless it was very important, and this was Jyad's first time being called. Jyad bent down a little as he made his way into the office, clean and almost symmetric in structure. Jayd looked down at his boss, who was sitting at his desk with a serious look on his face. "Jyad..." Eugene began, holding a moment to take a deep breath, "we have an emergency." His voice was quiet as he handed a letter to the thin alien.
5. To see the loss of your people was grieving. To see the loss of the people you promised to protect is even worse. Jyad had felt all lose of hope at the revelation of this. The only spot of hope came was a soothing wave that came from behind, one that suddenly healed the wounds and scars that was once on the superpowered Enderri. Jyad turned to see a sudden figure zipping past him. He turned around again to see a figure standing before him, one black as night. A color that may seem appropriate for such a time like this, but for Jayd, it was a sign of relief that he thought was destroyed along with what was once the resources and people of the planet. Slowly, Jayd spoke, "Dark...Star..." He was quiet in his words, in shock of this meeting. They had met before, a time before this awful event had occured. It was a time that Jyad had enjoyed, more so than ever. He had learned a little about Earth and the humans there, a place of wonder was that Jyad though of. He wished that Dark Star would come visit again, to tell more about Earth. And he did, but not in a state like this...
6. Let's see, Fulcrum and KC are fighting, Sage is lowering the ship, and Rift is moving it away from the fighters, Rycon is the onlt one who can't do anything for the moment. She can try climbing on the top of the ship and fire an electric blast at the White Knight, but I think it's too far away by that point. Or maybe she can try heading to the back of the ship and get parachutes in case of an emergancy escape (wasn't Valkyrie faking her unconsciousness? )
7. Deciding not to wait for the Doctor, Ashley went up to an info terminal to learn a little more about the Archetech building. The terminal took a little getting used to due to it's high-tech nature that Ashley did not quite understood yet. Eventually she started checking the varius facilities around Archetech and what they are for. She stopped checking when she read the info about the Personnel office, remembering that she was to head there. Still not used to the terminal, she had no luck with directions and decided to ask the receptionist instead. Once she was availible, Ashley asked, "Excuse me, I'm looking for the personnel office, may I have directions please?"
8. The search did not take long as a signal soon turned up. Many of the Elderri we're found scattered around the planet, killed off in the assault that came and went. However, among a battlefield of downed or deceased Grue lay a living being, weak but improving over time. Jyad'Arun awoke in great pain. He found himself lying in a barren and bloody field that was once his home planet rich with resources. He struggled trying to stand, noticing one of his arms was partially cut off and regenerating. He saw his body holding hundreds of cuts that we're healing, and he could not see any of the other members of his species in sight, only fallen Grue as far as he could see. Speachless, he had guessed the Grue came back, this time to destroy the planet. The parasite in his body kept him alive after the massacre, but the planet took the fall due to his inability to protect it, which was the goal that the Arun's held. In dismay of his failure, he started wandering to see what else was there aside from his fallen adverseries, with a mentally broken heart and will inside him.
9. Okay, this thread takes place... right before the Grue Invasion. The idea is that Dark Star picks up Tank, and takes him to Earth as the Grue Invasion begins. This way Dark Star could perhaps place Tank somewhere safe and tell him to stay, which Tank does for a small amount of time until he decides to help the people in trouble (Grue Invasion part II). Thoughts? Any alternitives that you have in mind? I'll handwave the first meeting in this thread, so we'll keep going as is. (unless you don't mind having a flashback of the meeting in here, which then we should try to limit it's length)
10. Um... Cy, I was planning for Dark Star to visit inbetween the two invasions before he picked Tank up from the second invasion on Gehlanna. My first post probably wasn't clear on that so I can change it if we decide to go back to what was originally planned. Or we could start from here. (to be honest, I'd rather start with the peaceful meeting before the planet destruction part, but I'll hear your opinion first) Or we start here and then flashback to Dark Star's first meeting? That way we don't have to rewrite the posts we made.
11. An origin thread for Tank. only one other is involved. This will be here if needed
12. The world that lies beyond Earth's solar system is vast, unbelievably so that it's impossible to state how much is there without saying that it is infinite. Among these worlds lie planets both barren and enriched with people. Some have a vast history while others have nothing, or have been forgotten. When chance decides to give a planet history, why chance gives history without people's stir... One such is Gehlanna, a planet once rich and peaceful, now struggling to survive after it's calamity of the history it was given. And to that, chance gave it more, another document that shall be recorded, and soon forgotten.
13. Still sitting on the bench, Ashley looked onto the Doctor and Devin. "How long have they known each other?" Ashley thought. There wasn't much to think about aside from questions about the new boy she had met. She decided against interrupting their conversation and instead wait for them to finish. While excited, Ashley was also frightened by having this operation. She wasn't sure of the outcome, just leave it up to chance...
14. If it's okay, I'd like Rycon to enter, she can be good at investigating. (despite having no Investigate skill...)
15. Removed the Crystalt Armor Device for Inner Parasite Armor (Linked to Density), which is on the inside of his body. (I think he looks much cooler shrugging of powerful attacks with his own body rather than needing assistance from an armor) Couple typo's fixed and slight changes to reflect that he no longer wears crystalt armor.
16. Rycon and Danielle quickly turn to the door as Sage entered, hearing her voice though nothing coming from her mouth at the same time. A smile came over Rycon as she said "We're done freeing the hostages, what's going on with the ship?" Before Sage could give her answer she was interrupted by the rock of the ship and the tumble of the group falling towards the front. After screaming all the way from one end to another, the group turns to see the rear torn from the front, then the plane being lowered slowly by Sage, though it didn't calm down the worried officers. It may, or may not have helped when Rift threw another supervillain into the ship and started moving the plane away from the fight. Danielle, calmer than some of the others turned to Rycon, "We need to discuss this act you do when this is over." she spoke in a demanding tone. "Now isn't the time, where are the para- *GASP*" Rycon started talking back to her cousin, only to gasp in shock when she looked out the window to see KC engulfed in flames. In panic, Rycon stood up and turned to Rift, shouting, "You need to get us closer...!" She couldn't continue speaking once Danielle pulled her back down, criticizing, "We can't go back! The safety of these people come first." The older cousin put her hand over Rycon's mouth to prevent her from speaking. Then a shout came from outside. Rycon struggled free from her cousin's grip to see Kid Cthulhu flipping off the White Knight, though he was burnt, KC still held strong. Rycon prayed for his safety, regretting ever gesturing him to go after the supervillain.
17. Fire is Tank's "kryptonite" you could say. The parasite has a negative reaction to fire, causing it to hibernate into an incredibly hard substance in order to avoid being melted. Because of this, the host loses the parasite's powers until the flames escape the reach of the parasite, then it will function again.
18. As Ashley was putting on her costume, she sees Aiko and KC pass her, even though she had a headstart. Rycon finishes putting on her costume as she rounds the corner, seeing her two friends attack the big thug and woman, but neglecting the other four. Seeing the opportunity that no one has noticed her yet, Rycon heads to the shadows in cover, waiting for a moment to strike the four thugs without risk of hitting any of the frozen people.
19. Alright, Rycon will strike the four normal thugs from a distance with her electricity blast. 1d20+4=24, 11, 20, 17 One is a natural 20. DC19, DC24 for the natural 20 one. Please don't forget Autofire 2 is in effect for these attacks. EDIT: Can't do this as a standard action, so Rycon will instead go HiPS once she gets there, taking 10 for Notice DC22 for the enemies.
20. Changed the Skill Mastery from Concentration to Builder (Nothing better to take...) Panzer's name is now changed to Tank, due to Panzer already being taken.
21. Sorus, will you be doing an IC post, or shall we wait for AA to update?
22. The Immobility outside of Density was because I was believed that you could not improve the powers in Density separately. If it is allowed, I will add them to Density instead. I'll wait for a response before I make any more changes to powers. All other changes have been made.

Journal Entry #2 A lot has happened since I last made an entry. perhaps I should make these more often... There was an invasion, from the Grue apparently. I never thought I would encounter an event like that before, I'm lucky to have made it out in one piece! Sometime after, I went to this arena place, not really the brightest move I've made. I went into combat with Chris, who seemed to have recovered from... whatever it was. I was really worried, with Dr. Archeville and Aiko watching the fight, but I did well. No, I won actually. I didn't think I would win but I did. I noticed however, that my attacks seemed to have penetrated Geckoman's wounds more than usual, I should go over my abilities and limits again, I'd rather not cause permanent injuries to anyone. And lately I've had this awkward feeling. Sometimes I zone out and find myself in a pitch black area. There's always a person waiting for me there. The first time was a baby, about a year old, crying for someone. When I walk up and try to comfort it, it stops crying and looks at me, then begins crying again, harder than before, as if it was rejecting me... The second time it was a girl, about 6 or 7 years old. She was also crying, this time when I walk up, she starts screaming at me, telling me to "go away, stop being me." constantly shouting stuff she doesn't seem to understand, like she tries to make a point... This has been happening since the Grue Invasion. I suppose that is all to state. I should try posting more often next time. Date: May 26, 2010
24. I made the changes, sorry to make this more difficult than it should. The "Immunity (Grue)" is an Uncommon Descriptor that renders Panzer immune to anything that would have a Grue descriptor (like a certain attack from a Grue, a mental Grue attack/mind trick, etc.). I did talk to about it with Shaen and he approved that Panzer can have it on.
25. Here will be the changes for Rycon: Add 4 to Dex Add 2 to Dodge Focus Add 1 to Will Saves Remove 3 ranks of Climb and 1 rank of Search Add 4 ranks of Acrobatics and 4 ranks of Stealth Remove Defensive Attack, both Attack Bonus (ranged) Add Improved Critical 2 (Electricity Control) Improve Protection 4 on Device 2 to Protection 6 Change her Array to this: Brain Electricity Array 14 (28 Power Points; PFs: 2 Alternate Powers, Accurate 4) [34pp] BE: Electrical Control 5 (Shock Bullet; Extras: Autofire 3; PFs: Affects Insubstantial 2, Homing 1) [28pp] AP: Paralyze 5 (Mind Disjunction; Extras: Autofire 3; PFs: Affects Insubstantial 2, Homing 1) [28pp] AP: Teleport 12 (Atom Travel; 1200ft move action, 20 million miles full action; Extras: Accurate; Flaws: Medium [Electrical Devices]; PFs: Change Direction, Change Velocity, Easy) [27pp] Replace her Vulnerably to this: Vulnerable (Drains; uncommon, moderate [1.5x to DC]; -2) Rycon needs a makeover on her sheet. Here's what it should look like: Characters Name: Rycon Power Level: 8 (115/115pp) Trade-Offs: -3 Attack / +3 Damage Unspent PP: 0 Alternate Identity: Ashley Culdis Age:16 Gender: Female Height: 5' 6'' Weight: 119 lb. Eyes: Dark Green Hair: Brown Description: From a normal glance, Ashley looks much like any other female teenager on the street, minus a few differences. She is mostly flat, wearing glasses to keep attention away from other people, and prefers to wear clothing that covers all of her body (like sweatshirts and jeans). She has short brown hair that barely goes down to her neck. As Rycon, she wears her father's dark blue trench coat, having steel lining on the outside, usually she keeps it buttoned up to avoid exposing her clothing. She wears brown finger-less gloves and long boots. To hide her identity, she ties a piece of gray cloth around her head, using holes in the cloth for her to see, and wears a baseball hat to cover her hair, though she changes the hat each day because she often loses the ones she wares. History: Ashley Culdis was born August 18, 1993 in the state of Bavaria, Germany. Her father, Rycnov (German), was part of a scientist team studying human biology and her mother, Linda (Canadian), was a former nurse, now stay-at-home mother. At the age of three, Ashley's parents found out that her brain was not working correctly. Her brain could not send waves down to her muscles fast enough, causing slow reactions and responses. This made it difficult to converse and teach her. In September 1996, her father was noted from the head scientist Anluk about a way to cure Ashley's brain issues, by inserting a special type of electricity to "jump start" the area of her brain to fix the muscle delay. This project however, is considered illegal, and Rycnov refused to participate. However two months later, Ashley was kidnapped on the way home from school and the operation Rycnov to assist . The operation was a success and Ashley's muscle delay's were cured, but there were side effects. The next day, Ashley started to sprout out sparks from her hands, and she was taken to a doctors for examination. It was revealed that her brain started to replicate the electricity that now spread throughout her body, controlled purely by her brain, which now worked harder than usual, giving Ashley insomnia. She was then taught by the scientist team how to control her newfound ability. She also started learning how to weld at school and took an interest in sharp objects like knives (which she made at home, for home) and swords (which she never made). April 14, 2006. Her father was caught by the government and arrested for the experiment 12 years ago. His wife Linda, at the request of her husband, smuggled Ashley out of Germany and into America, where Ashley would stay with her mother in a private cabin on the border for two years. Eventually, there wasn't enough cash to cover the pay at their home so Linda took Ashley to stay with her aunt Marcia Renfield (Linda's older sister), and uncle Doris, and her cousin Danielle (who she considers to be her sister) in Freedom City. Ashley remembers her mother getting killed by mobsters while in the city. Powerless to protect her mother, Ashley ran away with her father's coat, running aimlessly until she bumped into Danielle, who guided her to her new home in West End. Due to Ashley's insomniac issue, she has been bored at night, and would sometimes venture around in a costume of sorts, practicing her skill with electric powers. Eventually, Ashley decides that she will become a superhero, using her ability to protect those from harm to prevent attacks and deaths like what happened to her mother, Under the name Rycon. Personality & Motivation: Ashley, as a normal teenager, has difficulty speaking, and she can be rather staggering. When she is talking, she often hesitates if speaking to someone she isn't familiar with. She's a little more open when she has close friends with her. As Rycon however, she acts like a different person, perhaps it's because she has a way to defend herself. She's confident (unless there's someone important to her in danger), cautious (when she's not in combat with someone), very serious, and impatient at times, willing to interrupt conversations that she feels has gone on too long. She has a habit of talking back to people who criticize her, that or just ignoring them and continuing on her way. This often gets her in trouble, sometimes along with her allies too. Powers & Tactics: Due to her build, Rycon prefers to stay out of melee combat and prefers to strike at a distance. She can either use her electric powers to attack, or try to paralyze them if she has difficulty with hitting or damaging her opponent. Her father's trench coat also offers some protection. Outside of battle Rycon can link her brain with an electrical device, thereby channeling her mind into a form of electricity, and can travel along atom devices to move around town quickly, able to appear in another area with her body intact. She first learned is at 8 years of age, when she wanted to run away because she was grounded. She turned on her computer and found her body collapsing as she took form of an electric being, moving quickly along atoms, and eventually stopping in a telephone booth somewhere in a nearby town. She still isn't sure how this works. Complications: Cousin/Friends: Ashley cares for her cousin Danielle, and her friends Blake and Aiko deeply, and would go to any lengths to protect them (except illegal tasks, she would bitterly turns those down). Anti-Social: Due to her brain issues in her early years, Ashley has often had difficulty communicating with others. Usually because she's frightened of aggression since she can't fight back without letting anyone know of her powers, unless she acting as Rycon. Gender-Confused: Rycon's choice of costume and her hair and build may have some people think she's a male. This irritates her if it was a misunderstanding, and frustrates her if used as an insult. Nazi-Hater: Ashley was raised like this, in support of her parents. Anyone Pro-Nazi will feel Rycon's wrath, regardless of the person's position. Archenemy: Valkyrie, Rycon met her on a plane with Danielle injured and tied up. In addition, Valkyrie is a nazi, Rycon will not be forgetting her face anytime soon. In Brief: Electric vigilante who hides with a few shyness issues.
