  1. Tank did not have much to say at this point. The investigation was not going how he had planned it. He thought that hopefully all that telling he said won't come back to haunt him later. Having a smile of confidence on his face, Tank says, "Alright, any time you two are ready then." as he gave a gesture as if he's ready to move anytime.
  2. Tank removes his head from the concrete that he smashed. While he was perfectly fine, he drew a bit of attention from the workers at the construction site. "Sorry! Just need to get something." He said rather quickly as he made a beeline for the storage room, picking up a uniform from one of the men that had gone missing. As he made his way out he heard a call from behind. "Tank!" Tank sighed as he turned to Eugene. Despite being a smaller person, the Commissioner had a very stern look on his face. His eyes glanced at the uniform the Elderri had, which Tank responded, "It's... Uh.. needed to track the people down. Some guy says he can sect, er... scent a person with their possessions. Sorry!" He spoke quickly as he turned and jumped again, leaving a frustrated Commissioner with his hand smacking his head. Tank came down crashing in the lot just outside the bank, dazed but unharmed. "I am never doing that again." he told himself, not liking the idea of taking off to high heights only to wipe out upon landing. He walked to the bank, where a surprised Lukos and Slipstream was handed the uniform. "Here you go guys. I don't feel like jumping from now on." he said as he hardened his body once more.
  3. Covering his sadness with a smile, Jyad says "Thank you Dark Star. I don't know how to repay you." as Dark Star took his leave. Jyad looks at Freedom Hall, thinking, "This is my new life... my new world." It was sad for the alien to leave it all behind, but he knew that he had to make due with what he had. "Now," he thought, "Where do I get a job at building stuff?"
  4. I made the IC post. Spark up the conversation whenever you're ready. Oh yeah, and HP used to remove fatigue.
  5. "Ah, okay. I know what to get then." Tank, still a bit skeptical of his decision, tried to hide his doubt with a look of relief. When Lukos turned side to side, Tank followed suit, doing it as if someone was watching them, through Tank's eyes, he saw no one. Then Lukos asked of a way to get back, Tank's relief faded. "Uh... Well..." He tried to think of a good answer. Tank did not have a good idea to get back aside from one that he is not a fan of. "The fastest way I know is to make a straight path to the destination. But that will cause me to wreck everything in the way, including buildings and strutres." He flubbed yet another word. "Lemme try something." he said as he started to walk into an open space. Tank remembered Atlas was able to make incredible leaps to get towards his destination, it was worth a try. He loosened himself a bit as he started running in the direction he needed to go, then, praying it would work, he took a leap of faith as he realized it did work. Seeing himself high above the city came as a shock, suddenly he found himself falling face first into the cement of the ground, right next to the construction site where he started the day.
  6. Tank will power stunt Leaping since I haven't given him Super-Speed yet. He will be in Fatigue after this. The "visit" there may take awhile, so maybe Lukos and Slipstream can converse in the meantime?
  7. Tank was the buildings as they flew, slowly starting to lower as they began reaching their destination. Tank was the variety of buildings now, not just Grey. He could see trees, parks, construction fields, schools. It was all new to Tank, but he believed that Dark Star would be right that the Elderri would fit in well. Tank was rather quiet at the time, rather prefering to watch the city than ask more questions to Dark Star.
  8. Hearing Lukos's question one last time, Tank responds, "They all work at a construction site just outside Greenbank. Their uniforms are kept there, along with a couple tools they personally use. Would those be of any use?" Tank felt pretty awful. He knew that the Commissioner would not be pleased if he found out Tank gave information to a strange person. Worse if that person was in fact, a criminal.
  9. Jyad, now starting to break a bit of a smile, said, "Okay, thank you Dark Star." He then found himself flying the skies of the new planet, checking out the new scenery and views. Some of which seemed alot like Gehlanna, others were completely alien to the Elderri. The most alien to Jyad however, was Freedom City, an incredibly high-tech place in a world that seemed to blend amazing technology with beautiful, lush areas devoid of machinery. Seeing the city, Jyad asked Dark Star, "So this is Freedom City? I didn't really know what it would look like, but it seems really... grey? He wasn't sure of what words would be appropreate for this situation. "So," he said, trying to change the subject, "How many heroes does this city have?"
  10. Tank now found himself in a dilemma. The tasks given to him by Commissioner Aldern are specificly noted to allow as little information as possible. Without the help of Lukos, the Elderri would have no clue of where to go. So he needed to decide if it was worth risking more information out of himself to someone who looked more of a thug than a hero. As they made their way to the bank, Tank found his decision. He gestured Lukos to come to a quiet place were the Elderri whispered to the gas-masked person, "Sorry for giving such little info. I work for a goverment that doesn't want their tasks known." He paused a minute to see Lukos's reaction before continuing, "Promise me you won't tell anyone else, not even Slipsteam." Tank flubbed another name. "The men I'm looking for are all work with the same company, all of them are from Greenbank. They went missing at the same time." Tank decided that was all that needed to be said. And with that, Tank made off to the bank to see what had happened there.
  11. Jyad's eyes were absorbed in the scenery, but his ears were still open to listen. "Con..stution, At... luss?" Some of the names were difficult for him to speak. "I won't mind meeting him, if I knew where he is." Jyad started walking off in a random direction, perhaps to find the construction site, or to have a change of scenery. "Which way do we head?" he asked Dark Star, finally turning around to the black cosmic being as he walked.
  12. Slipstream's remark about checking out a possible kidnapping had surprised Tank to a point. "Ah, were on the same job then... I think." he said, not quite sure whether or not their objectives were all linked or just some freak coincidence. At the question of Lukos, Tank responds, "Um... I don't really know what a 'scent' exactly is, the people I'm looking for..." He paused to rethink about what he should say, "How much more should I tell him?" Then he decided to spill a little more. "The people I'm looking for work at a building place, where they make buildings from materials." Tank didn't really know that he was stating what was quite obvious to the other heroes. Afterwards, he started walking out of the alleyway, waving for the other two to come. "We don't have all day. We should be moving before night comes."
  13. Seeing the jetpack man descend, Tank slowly made his way over to the person, his feet shaking the ground with each step due to his weight at the moment. Tank put his hand forward as to greet the person. "The loudspeaker would be me." He spoke, trying to be open to the new person who didn't quite sound human. Afterwards, Tank asked, "Your voice doesn't seem human. Are you an alien too?" And later, he asked "Oh yeah, we noticed you were watching us earlier. Did you have a reason?"
  14. I'm making a new NPC, a supervillain which will be an archenemy to Tank. The concept is that it is an alien that had died and came back as a ghost. (Backstory will be worked on, that's not the problem here) The main idea for this NPC is that it cannot be of any harm unless it possesses someone. If someone is possessing, they transform into this bulky, strong flesh-creature on fire. (think Ghost Rider, minus the clothing, the bike and has flesh on it's entire body) The possessed person will transform back once the NPC has left the body. The issue stems from how to integrate the powers. The NPC cannot be hurt by physical attacks and cannot use any power (aside from possession) without possessing someone. Also, it cannot possess someone that has some sort of living being inside them. (like Tank due to his parasite) For when he transforms into a flesh creature, his powers (atm) are as follows: (PL10 caps) Array 15 [30pp] BP: Strike 15 (Fire; PE: Mighty; Extras: Penetrating (10 ranks)) [26pp] AP: Nauseate 10 (Extras: Vampiric) For the ghost form, I'd like for him to have this: Super-Movement 4 (Permeate 3; Trackless) AP: Flight 2 (25mph) AP: Space Travel 4 As for how the possession and transform thing will work, I'm not sure. Advice would be great please.
  15. While Jyad was a little skeptical about entering a wormhole, but realized it was simple and easy, just walk through. On the other side, the field of flowers and trees came as a welcoming sight for the Elderri, especially after the previous area they had just left. The beautiful view almost made Dark Star's line fail to reach Jyad. "That would be great Dark Star." he answered, sounding better than he had all day. "I can do well at building and carrying. Would there be a job that does that?" He thought for a moment while looking at the scenery again before saying, "Is there a job that builds homes? I have experience with that." Jyad still had a rather emotionless voice, but it was getting better.
  16. Tank ignored the first comment by Lukos, thinking that the human was just talking to himself. When questioned about distance, Tank just waved on while responding, "I don't know. I just think that it would be a good idea to try." All this while he wasn't looking at Lukos to see if he may attack him from behind for whatever reason. (Tank is convinced that he won't) The idea that the guy with the jetpack may be an enemy did not occur to Tank. He just waved on, eventually shouting, "Hello!!!" to see if Tank's voice could hear him.
  17. Relieved that combat was avoided, Tank accepts the handshake. He looks behind him at the street, then to the sky to the jetpack man. "Maybe... I always thought that was one of those birds." He took a step forward and then waved to the thing in the sky. "Lemme chat with him," Tank said to Lukos, "I can get along with most of the humans without need of threats."
  18. Tank watches the strange man draws his weapon, a sort of stick with an outward blade at the end. He could see the gleam from it, showing it's sharpness. Tank was impressed by the man's inititive to fight, but he kept his superheroic pose as if to show he is friendly. "Maybe I need a cape." he thought as he looked the man to tell that he had good intentions, though he didn't seem convinced by Tank's pose. It would be a misunderstanding if a fight broke out now. Tank quickly thought for a moment, then responded, "It is... uh... confedetsial. So I can't really say." flubbing the long word in the process. Before he could give the other man a chance to talk back, Tank added, "Well, I'm looking for people who have gone missing. That's all I can tell." hoping that it was enough to avoid a fight breaking out. He didn't want to state any more than what he had.
  19. Tank has fearless, intimidate does not work. Now I make a Sense Motive check to see if Lukos has good or bad intentions. DC23 with skill mastery.
  20. Okay, thanks. Ecal, when you read this. How much longer until our match ends and we can reappear?
  21. Tank made his way across the street, trying to track down any sources of unnatural acts made. Sadly for him, everything seemed new to him, he couldn't describe what was normal on Earth and what wasn't. The people who saw him amonst the streets took a look at the larger alien figure, though by now they knew Tank from the Grue Invasion, who helped save the city along with the other heroes. The ones who remembers him saving their lives gave a wave and a "thank you" shout as they passed by. Tank just waved back with a smile. "This is the kind of world I had hoped," he thought happily, "To be a guardian with the other heroes and fit in with their society. It's just like out of a happy dream." He started to make his way down alleyways instead, deciding that it would be more likely to find clues there. As he passed by an alleyway, a figure came down from above, dropping in front of Tank. He couldn't see much from the new person aside from a gleam from the eyes. Upon demand, the Elderri responded, "I'm Tank." He put an indominable superheroic pose as he smiled and continued confidently, "I'm on important buisness that I cannot speak of."
  22. Jyad's face of sadness stayed, but his voice started showing signs of recovery. "I do not have fear of danger, just fear of destruction." He took a final look around before stating, "I would like to be taken to Earth, away from this world..." Jyad looked up to Dark Star, almost with pleading eyes, "I have seen enough of this, please... Take me to Earth." He started to sound more desperate, even though his tone still sounds as emotionless as before.
  23. Hey, exactly where does the Rycon vs Geckoman thread fit in? I seem to be confused at the timeline. (I think though that the match has ended, at least)
  24. Jyad was quiet in thought as Dark Star spoke. He had heard of much outlandish things about Earth, but it felt more as a positive thing. Seeing new sights, people and exploring was something Jyad had always wanted to do since his first meeting with Dark Star. He had the opertunnity to do it now, but he realized what he would be sacrificing to achieve it. With a pause and a quiet sigh, Jyad responds, now speaking in Grue for familiarity."I would like to come to Earth. The things you have said have interested me. He paused to think a moment, then went back to English. "I wanted to explore the... universe, ever since you have told me about it. Jyad took a quick look around the wrecked area before continuing. "If this will be my only chance to do so..." his voice trembled in sadness, "Then I will take it. But... it will be hard... to leave everything behind."
  25. The lone Elderri started to feel a little better as Dark Star gave him some food and water. "Thank. You." He spoke slowly, using the English language rather than the his own or the Grue, which he was much more familiar with. Having something to eat helped him out of the depression Jyad was currently in, and sprung hope that there was another survivor on the planet. A quiet couple minutes passed as Jyad waited on as if Dark Star had some bad news. The part about Jyad leaving with the cosmic being had surprised the Elderri, with mixed feelings. Did he want to leave the planet, even though there may be nothing left? Should he stay in case of survivors? Where would Dark Star take him anyway? And then Jyad remembered about the planet Dark Star mentioned. "Take me away? To... Earth?" while he felt more open to speak now, Jyad could tell his English needed work, it was understandable, but rather jaggering and almost robotic in speech. Still, if Dark Star would take the lone Elderri to Earth, Jyad would need all the practice he could get.
