  1. "Uh... Alright," Ashley commented in doubt as the two went on the ride. True to it's name, the Tilt-A-Whirl allowed the circular seats to spin 360 degrees while the ride slowly tilted 90 degrees and back. It was one of the more enjoyable, if dizzy moments the German teenager has had. Getting off the ride, Ashley said, "Let's have a rest, I'm dizzy." She took a seat on another nearby bench. Ashley almost felt like throwing up, it was all a new experience for her. She turned to Blake, who was sitting beside her. "So Blake... I heard that you're quite an artist." Her voice was a little shaky due to the ride. "What kind of drawings have you done?"
  2. Ashley felt better as she walked out of the restroom. It was nice that she didn't have to wear her costume in public when she didn't need to fight. She saw Blake sitting on the bench they were at a minute ago, wearing a rather questionable shirt. Ignoring the shirt, Ashley walked up to Blake and said, "...Shall we go?" While Ashley fared much better when talking with friends, she still had a little difficulty speaking her mind to anyone. As they walked a little, Ashley looked over to the Tilt-A-Whirl. "Um... Shall we get on the ride?" she asked Blake. Despite knowing she would regret it, it wouldn't have any long-term consequences to go on it once, would it? "Blake, do you ever get nauseous nowadays?" she also asked, seemingly out of the blue.
  3. Rycon gave a smile on KC's words. Even though they haven't known each other for long (about a month now), he had always looked out for her. It seemed unnatural though, KC is already trying to go to boy/girlfriend levels in such a short amount of time. Rycon didn't understand a thing about a romantic relationship, but in her mind, she thought that KC was a great guy to be with. "Thanks. I will." She wished she could say KC's real name right now. "Oh, you want to change back already?" Rycon's attitude changed back to it's normal self. "Alright, look for a safe place, I'll be right back." She made her way to the woman's restroom, where she started removing her stuff and placing it back into her backpack.
  4. Not interested in speaking, Rycon simply waved goodbye as the two walked off. "Sorry. I was watching that girl and..." Rycon paused as she turned to see the two kids saying goodbye. "The girl, Marcia, is so much like me. It was like I was viewing a mirror. She took a sat on a nearby bench as she sighed, looking at the ground before continuing, "Seeing her so shy had reminded me of my days back in Germany, where I was used to demonstrate my lightning abilities. I often made scientists laughingstocks when they couldn't figure anything new about how my powers originated, and other scientists came to try, only to repeat the cycle of humiliation. It was an ordeal for everyone, those were hard years to pull through." She spoke in a quiet tone. She looked to KC, saying, "I wouldn't have kept any sanity during the time there if it weren't for my parents... and Dr. Archeville."
  5. The young boy seemed ecstatic to be near KC, while the girl seemed to open up a little more. "Um... I'm Marcia," the young girl said, "And this is Davis." The boy, Davis, also tried touching KC's tentacles in amazement. "Awesome! How do you eat and drink with these?" the boy asked, while Marcia more politely questioned, "Where did you come from? How old are you?" Her questions seemed more mature than the Davis. Meanwhile, Rycon watched next to KC. She saw the boy and girl, with jealousy and pity respectively. The boy was everything Ashley wished she could have been. Outgoing, courageous, without fear or worries. And the girl was everything that Ashley was. Quiet, reserved, not willing to take risks. It was a bit difficult for Rycon to watch, seeing what she is and what she could have been. KC's gesture to her left her a bit lost for words. The only thing she said (and wanted to say) was, "Hello," and left it at that. The kids seemed more interested in the squid anyway.
  6. Rycon took a look around the park. The smells of the place was all welcoming, though not nostalgic at all. She could see KC looking around, happier than usual. This place must have been a wondrous part of his past. If only Ashley had times like these when she was in Germany... Before she started reminiscing, Rycon looked at the Tilt-A-Whirl with a rather nauseous look. While her training throughout her years may help, overall she wasn't exactly ready for such an extreme ride like this. Her attention was suddenly directed towards two kids, around 8-10. One male, the other female. The female seemed reserved while the boy was much more talkative. "Hey look!" he cried out happily. "You're the squid that saved the museum!" The girl, quietly walked up to KC, raising her hand to touch one of his tentacles. "Oh!" she said, rather frightened, if quiet. "They're... real."
  7. If it's needed, which I doubt.
  8. Rycon wasn't really trying to completely hide, so she wasn't surprised that Kid Cthulhu found her. The new costume however, was a welcome sight. She never liked the bodysuit on him. "Interesting fabric, How did you get it?" she asked as the two made their way to the entrance. The men in the entryway had looks of shock, unsurprising really. The two heroes would have been kicked out had not some of the workers remember KC on the scene during a museum heist several months back. With a few minutes of understanding, the two were let of free into the park. Rycon felt embarrassed beyond belief. It was perfectly understandable that people would give stares to the heroes. Not wanting to waste any time standing, Rycon asked KC, "So... this is my second time here. How often do you come?"
  9. The amusement park was always a great place to get together. Kids, teenagers, and adults alike all had reasons to be there. Sometimes Claremont students came here for a field trip, and it was a fun experience every time. It was different for Ashley today. Normally she never comes here, this was her second time. It was also different for her in that she would be going with Blake today, on a "date" of sorts. While this may not have been a problem, somehow Blake had convinced her to go in their superhero forms, something Rycon never liked to do in public. Holding her head, Rycon thought, "Why did I agree to this?" as she stayed in the shadows near the entrance, waiting for Kid Cthulhu to arrive...
  10. Rycon finished her own noodles as Geckoman spoke, "Get in, check the food, take the food, get out, DON'T eat the food. Sounds good." She kept it short and simple as they neared the restaurant. She put a small smile at Geckoman's suggestion, eyes narrowing. "Why both do one when we do both at once?" She said sneakily. "You can head in there front door while I go from the back. I sneak better alone, and you're a much better party-goer so it works out. she spoke as she puts on her hat, ready to get to work.
  11. Where Geckoman was watching the radar, Rycon looked through the window to see something flash quickly before her eyes. Her mind firstly ignored Geckoman's comment as she stopped eating her noodles, thinking, "Wait... Was that?" A lack of proof however, made it impossible to determine what, or who that flash of light was. Coming back to answer Geckoman's question, "One person died on the walk home from the resturant. No evidence of poison or wounds could answer his apparently spontanious death. Heart attack maybe?" She reclined on her chair as well, while still looking through the window. "I could find no info on the second death." Rycon had a twitching eye for a moment when Geckoman asked about reservations. "I would stay away from suspicious companies such as this. You wouldn't want to walk into a trap would you?" She didn't know much about Liz, other than that she and Chris were really close friends. Sitting back up, Rycon continued, "To answer your question, I know less than you do. It probably isn't the best time to make a reservation anyway."
  12. Okay, after some testing I think I have a more accurate build now. (Doc, sorry but I lack the Freedom City Setting book atm...) Thoughts would be great. Possession 10 (Flaw: Limited 2 (Not on housed hosts/Only on negative people) Drawback: Power Loss (If host is unconscious)) [19pp] Linked with Possession, Empowerment 9 [54pp] Incorporeal 4 (Flaw: Permanent) [20pp] Super-Movement 4 (Permeate 3, Trackless) [10pp] AP: Flight 4 (100mph) AP: Space Travel 8 (250x light speed) Total: 103pp
  13. Danielle was surprised at the arrival of the green ship, she was almost at the roof as well. Using this opportunity, Rycon made a dash for the ship, giving Geckoman a high five in the process. "Your reservation is here," she said to the green gecko as she made a turn to her cousin, "Sorry Sis, I'll hopefully be back before dark!" And she hopped in the Pitchoo, leaving Danielle just as she got on the rooftop. Relieved that she got away from her cousin, Rycon relaxed in Geckoman's ship, having a few noodles herself. Considering the lack of any leads Geckoman may have, Rycon said, "Geckoman, I've heard through Sis about two deceased people who were recently at that new restaurant. 'Mark's Bar' I think it was? She wasn't able to get much off from Danielle about the news. Ashley was lucky to even get a notice about the dead people. Often she would need to look through her cousin's police notes to get info, and Danielle was not one who liked to spread info away, especially to her younger, superhero-posing cousin. "Maybe we could start there?"
  14. No one is doing Objective 4? Well then, change Rycon, KC, and Aiko shall assist there, by themselves if they have too (we might actually like it better that way).
  15. Rycon lay down on the roof of her building in West End. Chris had said that they would be patrolling today, and to watch for the Pitchoo. It seemed like an eternity to wait for, and the constant yelling from Danielle did not help. "You shouldn't be on the roof! What if you fall! What's so important about being up there?!" Ashley's cousin was being really protective of her, and that was understandable, but it was really dragging on for a long time. Rycon hasn't gotten badly hurt yet, so she isn't that concerned. Her mind snapped into reality when she hears a clang to her right. A ladder knocked into the building. Danielle was now determined to get her cousin down. "Where are you Chris?!" she thought in fear.
  16. Lone Star had said to me of interest in having a summon power for his character and let me work on making one that we plan to add in next month. However, considering the rules, I would like everyone (who wishes to) to have a look at this and see their opinions on it. KC will be power stunting this (off his array) in an upcoming thread... Summon 4 (PF's: Mental Link, Sacrifice, Progression 2 (5 minions); Extras: Horde, Action 2 (free), Total Fade) [28pp] This is what he'll have for this month if we get it now... Summon 4 (PF's: Mental Link, Sacrifice, Progression 2 (5 minions); Extras: Horde, Total Fade; Flaws: Distracting, Action (full)) [12pp] And this what what we plan to give him next month... Summon 4 (PF's: Mental Link, Sacrifice, Progression 2 (5 minions); Extras: Horde, Total Fade) [20pp] As for the minions themselves... If anyone has issues, please let me know.
  17. Peng, I understand that you may be busy, but we all (me, LS, Nyr, and Rav) would like an update soon please.
  18. I notice there hasn't been a date set for the thread yet. I would like this to happen inbetween Fisticuffs 2 and House of L if this is okay with everyone. Does anyone prefer a different time though?
  19. The destruction caused was pretty horrifying to Jyad, who had already seen enough of it back on his planet. But thankfully, here hope still endured, other heroes were assisting with fixing the town, Jyad being one of them. He would normally be at his work place helping there, but the situation at Southside was much, much worse. With permission, Jyad went out into the streets to clean up the city, in a new costume that he recieved from his workers. It was brown cloth that covered his entire body, expect his hands, feet, and the lower half of his face. Looking onto the wrecked area, Tank started by lifting the debris that piled where buildings once were. The parasite within him made lifting huge amounts of concrete and steel little trouble. As he checked for a safe location to put away the debris, he had noticed two other people, one who had a cape that flew around, and another that was an odd sight to the Elderri. This one had wings, beautiful, giant, white wings that made him/her/it stand out from the rest. Getting back to the current situation, Tank decided to crush the steel wall he had into pieces, tearing it into smaller chunks until they were in bite sized pieces. He found out though that it was an impractical method, as many chunks scattered around the area. "How do you get rid of this metal?" he thought, picking up a piece that he tore off. Not sure what he was thinking, he plopped it into his mouth, trying to digest it. As it turned out, it would work, but it took awhile and the steel did not digest easily, so Tank decided to stick to lifting and moving it away.
  20. The ship's size irritated Tank, he made some marks on the walls as he squezzed through. While he could have dropped the weight on his body, he decided against it, thinking that he may be caught off guard in doing so. Looking at the door, Tank simply responded, "Got it!" as he walked past Lukos and Slipstream to the door. Early in his building days Tank had made dents on the materials, or flat-out crushed them under his own strength. Tank tried jiggling the handle, only to find it locked. "Hmm... Oh!" It wasn't until now that he realized that Lukos was implying to smash the door. Throwing a hard left straight, Tank's hand pierced right through the door, any people that were on the other side may have been surprised by the sudden strike. Wasting no time, Tank started tearing the door from the wall, piece by piece until there was just an open hole there. He ran in first to see where the hostages are. "Anyone here?" He cried out.
  21. If it's a steel door, it should have a toughness of 10 correct? (making it DC15) Tank would do 26, +4 for super-strength. So Tank beats that by 15, I'll get a post up then.
  22. All the soldiers in the way of Tank's heroic charge came down like bowling pins, unable to even slow down the Elderri. Tank arrived at the deck to see the commotion there already cleaned up. "Oh, did I miss the fighting already?" he asked as he turned in surprise to see how many soldiers he knocked out to get here. Looking back at the other heroes, Tank asked, "I didn't find anyone on the way up," or rather, Tank didn't try to, all he made was a straight charge to the deck, "What did you two figure out?"
  23. Rycon had a tiny chuckle at the Evil Dead reference, then decided to play along with the subject change. "We've done almost half of them already. I believe Dynamo is having his match now. Fulcrum's is up after... I think." Rycon took a look at the waiting room she came out of. "What is taking Geckoman so long?" she asked. Then turned around the conversation once again. "By the way KC, will Aiko be coming? I asked her to arrive when she had time."
  24. Okay, shall I make an IC post for Tank, or do you have something else in mind...?
  25. Alright, If it's okay with Lone Star and Nyrath, Rycon, Kid Cthulhu, and Aiko will be at objective 3, saving the hospital from the pets.
