    Rook

Player Name: BType Character Name: Rook Power Level: 10 (150/150PP) Trade-Offs: +2 Attack/-2 Damage (Melee), +2 Defense/-2 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress To Bronze Status: 0/30 In Brief: Orphaned by violent crime, Drake Grey is the former ward of Duncan Summers, formerly the Raven, grown to adulthood and continuing his adopted family's crusade for justice. Alternate Identity: Drake Grey Identity: Secret Birthplace: New York City, New York Occupation: "Bachelor" (Indedependently Wealthy) Affiliations: Duncan Summers (formerly the Raven), Callie Summers (The Raven), Fletcher Beaumont III (The Bowman), Claremont Academy (former student) Family: N/A, Duncan Summers (Godfather), Callie Summers (Godsister) Description: Age: 26 (DoB: 11/12/87) Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5'11 Weight: 175lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Drake when out of costume cuts an attractive figure. His build is as slim as his godfather's, but he is a few inches short of the Raven's height. He is extremely heavily muscled for his build, and thanks to this weighs in at far more as his figure would initially suggest. He generally keeps his hair at a reasonable length, though when in costume he tends to fly unkept regardless of how long he is currently wearing it. Smiles come easy to his face, both in friendly greeting to new people and in cocky smirks when fighting supercriminals. His costume is, like his mentor's primarily black with muted blues to blend into dark, urban environments, but lacks a cape entirely, as Drake dislikes their bulk, heavily preferring to remain mobile when he fights. The black bodysuit is broken up by a red bird-emblem on his chest, and a leather-like jacket he wears over it, as the bodysuit has not room for his tools. History: Drake Grey is the son of Timothy Grey, formerly the Duncan Summer's archeological partner before Summer's discovered the treasure that would create his fortune. While Summers eventually invested his earnings into a tidy profit after losing his family to crime, Tim Grey never truly stopped adventuring, eventually marrying and having a son while keeping up his globe-trotting lifestyle. One day he came to Freedom Ciy to introduce their children to each other and catch up on old times. On the way there, young Drake's parents were murdered by a Mafia hit gone horrifically wrong, orphaning Drake at age twelve. Duncan found and took in Drake as his godfather, raising the barely thirteen-year-old boy as his own along with his daughter Callie. While Drake at first was a morose and depressed child who frequently acted out, one day he accidentally discovered his godfather's Raven costume, long in storage since his retirement. Drake confronted his god father, demanding that Duncan train him as a crime fighter so he could prevent what happened to his parents from ever happening again. Initially as reluctant to train Drake in crimefighting as he was his daughter Callie, Duncan eventually was convinced by Drake's conviction to supervise his training, eventually founding the Claremont Academy based on his newfound enjoyment of teaching, where Drake became one Duncan's very first students, giving Drake both a formal education and the training in superheroics he desired. Drake, though initially distant from his Claremont peers, found his first real friends in the Claremont Academy's grounds, bonding especially well with the young Fletcher Beaumont III, then known as Arrow. Drake and Fletch's eagerness to attempt crime-fighting before they had officially graduated eventually created the first iteration of the NextGen team, with Drake fighting crime as "Sparrow", often taking an unofficial leadership position for the team thanks to his extensive focus and tactical training...when he wasn't arguing with Fletch over orders, that is. Spending years fighting both street crime in Southside Freedom and whatever supervillain threats the teenaged heroes of the NextGen ran into, when Drake graduated he was an extremely versitile hero. Uninterested in taking up Summer's old mantle of The Raven (and his godsister Callie had adopted it in the meantime anyway), Drake instead became "Rook", becoming his own man and crimefighter. Personality & Motivation:
Drake is remarkably well-adjusted despite the traumas he experienced early in life. Having adventured with his parents across the globe almost from birth, the thrill of his crime-fighting lifestyle appeals to him, though he tempers his daredevil tendencies with a strong sense of right and wrong drilled into him by his mentor. If confronted directly, Drake would be forced to admit that he's a superhero because he's been trained to do it since he was thirteen, and really knows (and doesn't want to know) any other way to live his life.

Powers & Tactics:
Drake has no superhuman abilities, with all of his skills instead being a result of extensive physical conditioning and combat training. Complications:
Secret: Identity (Drake must keep his identity secret, not only because of his own safety, but for the safety of his godfamily.) Enemies: Raven's Rogues Gallery (Anyone who's ever held a grudge against the Raven knows that to attack his former sidekick is an excellent way to hurt him indirectly.) Fame: In his secret identity Drake is a fairly well-known socialite in Freedom City, and one of it's most eligable (and well-off) bachelors, thus is presence is fairly noted among social circles when he travels.

Relationships: Though not lacking for charm or looks (his appearence has been commented on by the opposite sex more then once) has a truly awful track record with the opposite sex, thanks to the demands of his superheroing (which he considers his actual job) and his need to keep his identity a secret. His most "successful" relationships have always been with other superheroes, all of which often ended on poor terms, thanks to Drake's "workaholic" attitude towards crime-fighting or trauma. 2. Sorry about the unifinished post, I accidentally posted it early. Going through editing and trying to figure out if it's worth the headache of the early formatting. This place is awesome beyond mere words but my dyslexia and math-failures is so bad it's incredibly frustrating going through the character creation process (not your guy's fault of course, all mine).
  3. Yeah I know, I clicked the wrong part of the forum. How should I format the title? I made a character awhile back but it's been a long time and it took like eighteen tries to get it in the right format, which drove me to banging my head against the wall for an hour: I'd like tips beyond just the rough template you have, it's kind of confusing to the more dyslexic of us
  4. Also, wrong forum, sorry.

  7. It'd be cool to have a TRIO of Bash Bros. Luke Cage and Iron Fist had Misty Knight and bunch of other allied heroes who worked well together .
  8. I actually had an Iron Fist-style character rolling around in my head that would be cool to play if I had people to do so with named "Shenhuo" (means something close to "Immortal Tiger" in Chinese). He'd be a PL10 guy with abilities that are "superhuman" but derived from Shambalan Kung Fu Secrets, as I noticed Chinese manhwa comic heroes tend to have incredible superpowers (super-leaping, flight, shooting fire, superhuman strength and speed), the only difference being that they come from kung fu instead of cosmic radiation and lighting bolts etc. Does that sound good?
  9. Did you ever get a BashBro/Sis? I signed up for this PbP awhile back, but circumstances forced me to not participate as much as I would have liked, and I was thinking of making a new hero, and it's always fun to PbP with others .
  10. The fight against The Enforcers goes BT's way at first, despite Deadeye's pesky knife-throwing, but he takes a nasty shot when Deadeye nails him with a critical hit.
  11. How in the world did they know to wait for me? Ben ponderd, as he took a low crouching position. "So how the heck did Boss know this guy was coming?" Strongarm asked his brother, cracking his knuckles. Legbreaker shrugged, cracking his own, loosening his neck. "Boss says these crime-fighting types like to work with the cops a lot. Everything but a batsignal yeah?" he replied, as he circled the black-clad hero, flanking him with Arson and Target. I guess that answers that question. The five figured were mostly still, except for Arson's flickering hands, lighting up the dark office room around him like a low-burning torch, matching his coal-like smoldering eyes and Deadeye's twitchy movements as he fingered the throwing knives in his hands. And then everyone started moving at once. Deadeye made the first move, tossed a knife at Terror's left shoulder, the knife thudding into his durable skin, sticking like the other two from before but not deep enough to cause him any real pain. Strongarm moved in next, his heavy fist flying at the black-clad hero, but not fast enough to get past Ben's skillful parry, though his brother's fist connected hard, sending the Terror reeling back from impact. This is really way more exercise then I was planning on getting tonight, Ben though as he bounced back with superhuman speed, attacking Legbreaker to his right with a fearsome straight punch. The punch connected like a thunderbolt, sending him flying back blasting into the far window of the office wall, cracking it under his force, the Mafiosi slumping as blood and teeth poured from his mouth. But Ben didn't slow down. He flew with the momentum of the straight punch, spinning into a left elbow strike at Strongarm's right temple, the blow sending him flying into the far office wall. Arson raised both hands, sending a blast of red-hot flames from them at the Terror, who nimbly flipped out of the way, the flaming bolts impacting against the windows of the office, shattering them from heat compromising the integrity of the long line of windows. Well, that shot will trip the silent alarm, Santini thought as he turned towards the firebug and Deadeye, who hurled a new blade into Ben's collarbone, the steel finally causing him to grunt in pain from the impact of the blade. It penetrated his skin fully, into the muscle, causing him to bleed finally. Deadeye smiled at the sight. "You know, I was beginning to wonder if we were just punching a brick wall here. I guess the Predator rule applies here huh? You bleed so we can kill you," the killer said, a cruel smirk playing across his features.
  12. This will be the Terror's first real case in Freedom City, involving investigations of Mafia corruption in the area. Anyone is welcome to join at any time, since I'd like to get to know my fellow players, and since the Terror doesn't know any other heroes yet . The rolls made so far are as follows: Ben Investigates the corpse of the cocktail waitress for what killed her. As the Terror, keeps to the shadows as he leaps up the side of the casino. Just barely makes a Notice check to keep his wits about him as Strongarm attempts to sucker-punch him from the dark of the office. Strongarm tosses a punch, but misses due to BT still keeping his Defense total high. Target nails the Terror in the shoulder, and good. But Terror manages to largely shrug off the damage done to him.
  13. March 8th, 9:43PM, South Freedom City She was good-looking, which seemed like a prerequisite when it came to casino employees. She'd been dead for an hour though, so that probably wouldn't last much longer. The place was already taped off from the crowd, and press, who snapped photos of the body like vultures at a corpse. With the throng of civilians and people in the casino, Santini wondered how in the world she body could have possibly lain behind the bar near the center of the casino floor four almost an hour without anyone noticing, bartender gone or not. He gently touched her neck, tuning out the crowd, the cameras, everything that distracted him, and put gloves on, gently leaning her head to one side, taking a closer look at the body, turning on his investigative mind. Her neck was broken, that was clear enough. But it wasn't a fall, it wasn't an accident. The bruising on her neck was all the way around, like someone had wrapped something around her neck. Something like human fingers. Very, very strong ones. "Find anything Detective Santini?" said a low, thick voice. He got back to his feet, and two men were past the yellow-taped off murder area: Alberto Driogano and Joey Finito. "No, Mister Driogano, not yet. It appears she was throttled to death, by a very large, or very strong person. Strong enough to break her neck." Ben answered, removing his gloves and tucking them away. Ben looked at Finito when he said it. Joey Finito and his twin brother Lono were known better by a street name: Strongarm and Legbreaker, a pair of superhuman enforcers for the Driogano Family of the Freedom City Mafia. They worked directly for Driogano, ostensibly as bodyguards for his person, as "Big Al" Driogano was a "legitimate businessman". "That is a terrible shame. I'll send flowers and pay for her funeral. This woman died under my employ." Driogano said, in a serious voice. He probably would too. It would look good on TV and be wonderful publicity. "Well, that's very kind of you Mister Driogano. If you'll excuse me, I have to report back to my Precinct with the evidence I've collected." Ben said, walking out back to his car. Santini knew what would happen. No one would talk, no fingerprints would be found, and the entire investigation would be stonewalled from Mob pressure and simple lack of any real evidence. So a little more direct methods of information gathering was clearly in order. The Same Night, Exactly Three Hours Later Everything got quieter after they shut down the casino floor below. The rooftops of Freedom were always quieter then streets below though. The Black Terror was abroad making headway at incredible speed: Ben's leaps could clear over five hundred feet in a single jump if he chose, and he ran at nearly fifty miles per-hour across the various rooftops of the Boardwalk. Southside Palace loomed above like some like of garishly lit titan, the neon still on. Drigano's office was on the higher floors. An impossible climb, but he could make the jump up to the higher floors in only three full leaps, by landing on the ledges just outside the windows every few floors. He made sure he was unseen as he lept, flying like the grasshopper through the air, or perhaps a flea on the side of a giant concrete and steel animal. Landing on the final ledge, he looked for the parts of the concrete were the glass was set. Ben was a cop: he knew how security systems worked, and the the window-set ones detected a shatter. The trick was to remove the window without shattering it. Child's play for someone who was strong enough to shatter the concrete sides holding the window in. After a few well-placed blows he easily lifted the glass out of it's place, and hopped into the dark office. Something didn't feel right. Only a second later a viciously powerful fist flew at him from the shadows, barely missing him as he flipped out of the way just into the path of a pair of throwing knives which thudded into his shoulder heavily from behind! He grunted in pain. They didn't go deep, and hardly even bruised his reinforced skin, but they stuck there anyway. And they hurt. "I'm sorry, this is a restricted area of the casino. No visitors, customers, or costumed freaks breaking in allowed." The voice came in the direction of the tossed knife. The man had dirty blonde hair, and a vaguely distant look in his hazel eyes the marked him as a true sociopath, a slight smile playing across his face. Next to him was a skinny bald man with blue eyes that suddenly lit up a bright red glow, his hands lighting up like blowtorches. From the other side, hiding in the shadows against dark-tinted windows, were Strongarm and Legbreaker, the Finito Brothers. Ben didn't recognize the matchstick guy or the man who lodged the throwing knives in his shoulder, and was currently flipping a new one in his left hand. Maybe this wasn't going to be so simple after all.
  14. The Enforcers (General Use Villain NPCs, created by B-Type, inspired by the Freedom City Handbook) "Big Al" Driogano, head of the most powerful Mafia family in Freedom City did not get to where he is today by not being prudent. Usually, costumed heroes left the Mafia alone, focusing more on costumed criminals and obvious threats. When they did encounter the mob, it often only exposed a small plot or part of the family's organization, and very often the exposed part was expendable, replaceable, or difficult to truly convict in court for lack of evidence. However, the few heroes who did focus on the Mafia were tenacious, and often dismantled large parts of the organization in short periods of time, especially if they worked with the FCPD or DA's Office, and the strong-arm, fear-mongering tactics used on the police and civilians were generally ineffective. Driogano decided to fight fire with fire, and contacted the Power-House and the Labyrinth Organization, and payed a hefty sum to "enhance" some of his more effective enforcers and assets. The Enforcers are not the usual villain team: they more or less eschew garish costumes, preferring street clothes instead. They never commit simple robbery or other crimes common to super-criminals, instead protecting Driogano's (and the Mafia as a whole) assets from costumed crime-fighters. It's been difficult to pin many of the suspected activities of the Enforcers on them: the charges rarely stick, as often they are doing "legal" bodyguard and security work against superheroes who break into Mafia-owned building to gather evidence on them. Strongarm and Legbreaker Height: 6'1'' Weight: 198lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Joseph "Joey" Finito and Leonard "Lono" Finito are the strongest, most physically potent of the Enforcer. Long-time workers for Boss Driogano, once they were enhanced by the Power House they became something else: a pair of super-powered, highly dangerous hitmen for their boss. The Finito Twins powers are simple, yet effective, revolving around general physical enhancement. Their increased strength lets them lift about 10 tons each, and their skin is high resistant to damage like a bulletproof vest. They also have moderately increased agility. Though they often act otherwise, the Finito's are quite intelligent, and often utilize teamwork to take down more impressive foes they cannot individually match. Joey prefers to wear tailored white suits, and Lono black tailored suits. (Use the Assassin Supporting Character Archetype from the M&M Core book with the following adjustments: Enhanced Strength 18, Enhanced Dex 6, Impervious Protection 5, increase Attack Bonus to +4, Defense to +6, and exchange the Attack Focus: Ranged 3 for Attack Focus: Melee 3. The Finitos are identical in statistics.) Arson Height: 5'8'' Weight: 157lb Hair: Brown (Bald) Eyes: Brown (Glowing Red w/Powers) James Marino worked for Driogano as an arson specialist and hitman, burning down buildings with victims bodies in it as a "message" to the family's enemies and as a penalty for not paying protection fees. He had been to prison twice, and proved his loyalty by not talking. He was chosen by Driogano to undergo the DNAscent Process, and was granted incredible control over flames he could generate at will. Marino is the flashiest of the Enforcers, and wears a simple black unitard under is street clothes made of morphic molecules designed to resist his powers. Due to the noticeable nature of his powers, Arson often keeps a lower profile then the rest of the group to ensure he remains out of prison, and that the fires he starts could be considered "accidents". (Use the Assasssin Supporting Character Archetype from M&M Core book with the following changes: Fire Control 8 (Alternate Powers: Blast 8, Blast 7 [Line Area}, Flight 4, Immunity 5 (fire damage), Attack Bonus increased to +4, Defense bonus increased to +9) Deadeye Height: 5'7'' Weight: 200lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Hazel Nelson Mews is Possibly the least conspicuous and most unassuming member of the group, and also likely it's most dangerous. Mews, unlike every single other member of the Enforcers, is a sociopath, pure and simple. Unfortunately for everyone he meets, he is a controlled and self-aware one. A highly skilled killer, notable for using everyday household objects as deadly throwing weapons, as well as knives and throwing spikes to kill his enemies, the enhancement process he underwent was arguably the least successful, granting him enhanced vision, wall-crawling, and a skeleton laced with Impervium alloy. Unfortunately for the world, Mews was already possessd of impressive skills, and a unique ability to copy any sort of physical movement he sees with 100% accuracy as long as he is capable of performing it. If the Enforcers have a leader at all, it is Target, if only because they're too afraid of him to disobey him. (Use the Assassin Villain Archetype from the Iron Age sourcebook with these adjustments: Strength increased to 18, Strike alternate removed from Blast and turn into it's own power to show the increased punching force from his reinforced skeletal structure, and Reflex Memory 3)
  15. The Black Terror: A superpowered DNAscendent crime-fighter by night, and a FCPD Detective by day.
  16. I do actually. STAR is actually a SWAT Team as opposed to an investigative team. I'm thinking closer to a special precinct for organized crime, superhuman crimes, and politically investigations investigations, like as shown with Gotham City's MCU http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotham_City_Police_Department. I just wanted to know if I should get permission, Ref help, or what creating this . Seemed polite and sensible to ask.
  17. I'm here to ask Ref and others for advice. As part of the Terror's backround, he's a plainclothes detective for a FCPD department called Special Crimes Unit. vaguely inspired by the Law and Order franchise's Special Victims Unit and the comic Gotham Central and their Major Crimes Unit. As I basically pulled an entire precinct/division of the Freedom City Police Department out of my arse, I was hoping to get Ref and player input on the subject. On a side note, in this PbP's canon, is DaCosta Construction affiliated with the Freedom City Mafia, or is that only a rumor?
  18. Thanks for the math corrections (numbers are my kryptonite). I made some slight modifications based on your suggestions and tips. I actually wanted him to be more vulnerable to damage then the usual "bulletproof" guy, so I purposely left his Toughness low, but I figure giving him Defensive Roll works well with his style of fighting and makes up for it (when he's not flat-footed of course). I also noticed his flat-footed vulnerability, and decided I liked it: it made him more "human" that he could be snuck up behind and knocked out (so long as he's hit hard enough). Basically, I'm making a medium-power street-level hero. I wanted him to be versatile and flexible, but still vulnerable, as befits a street-level character with powers, akin to Spider-Man or Luke Cage; both are high-powered guys (Spider-Man has insane reflexes and Cage is basically bulletproof), but anything remotely superhuman, or even things like high-tech weaponry can put them down or give them a hard run. I'm trying to make his crunch equate with his fluff. I've also altered the Complication about Labyrinth, not note their tactics used on him: when he's Ben Santini they do their best to disrupt his investigations from afar using their influence, and they are aware of his dual-identity (wasn't hard to put together: a costumed guy with all the powers they gave him suddenly appears and starts asking questions about them, and looks into the shell company they used to create him). What makes them such a dangerous villain of his is that while they actively seek to disrupt his investigations, he's practically unaware of their existence, only knowing them as a shadowy "them" who changed him, and doesn't put the Labyrinth name to the conspiracy.
  19. Hey, new around here. I have always been craving a more regular outlet for my need for superheroic antics, and my local gaming buddies just aren't interested in M&M . When I heard about this place I figured I'd try to join in . I've posted up a build named for and inspired by the Golden Age hero Black Terror, though I've changed his real identity, power origins, motives and even ethnicity, only retaining the name and costume because I enjoy both. As an explanation for the similarities in-universe, I came up with him being a fan of Golden Age comics when he was a kid, and therefore basing his later-life costume and moniker off the actual comic character. I was vaguely inspired for this by an Astro City story where a woman working at a "reality comics" publisher in titular city mentions working at Marvel and DC comics, and remembered Freedom has it's own "reality comics" publisher. So any words of advice for a new fool ?
  20. Okay, altered it, hope I altered it properly. I rarely frequent message boards like this one, sorry for my unfamiliarity with templates.
  21. Though his costume and name are titled the same as the Golden Age hero, his origins, name, and powers are actually completely different. It's merely meant as a homage to the character, both in-character and out. Plus Black Terror is a badass supername :P
  22. Power Level 10: 10 (150/152pp) Trade-Offs: None Unspent PP: 2pp The Black Terror: Benito "Ben" Santini: Age: 25 (born March, 1984; Apparent Age 25) Gender: Male Height: 6ft Weight: 188lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Description: Tall, physically well-built, slightly tanned, with blue eyes that seem to be constantly accusing you of doing something wrong. Surprisingly handsome out of costume, though clearly doesn't put effort into taking care of his appearance. His looks show somewhat through his Black Terror's part-face mask. History: Benito Santini was like any other Italian-American kid in the bad parts of New York: he wanted to be a Made Man for the Mafia. When his elder brother (a Soldati himself) was gunned down by a street gang, he instead changed his colors, and devoted himself to becoming a Detective for the NYPD. After a highly successful mob-busting case, he quickly became a well-known bane of organized crime do to his utter devotion to bringing it's members to justice. Unfortunately, there were consequences to his crusade, and he had stepped on the toes of someone with powerful allies. Kidnapped one night in his home, drugged, and taken to a high-rise office building by shadowy professionals, and experimented upon for a length of time he later discovered to be over a year. The experiments performed on him enhanced his strength, agility, and rendered his muscles, skin, and bones incredibly durable, invulnerable to conventional firearms. Before they could truly discover the limits of his changed physiology, he managed to escape through freak accident, luck, and what appeared to be inside help (the memories of his escape are blurry and indistinct). Returning to his old life, but keeping his powers a secret, he began moonlighting in a dark costume and identity based off of one of the Golden Age comic books he loved as a kid: The Black Terror. His activities focused mainly on investigating who it was who kidnapped and changed him, though he occasionally tackled the Mafia in-costume. His investigations turned up three names: Cardistanic (a shell company who Ben believes is owned by the group who altered his body), something called the DNAscent Process (which he assumes is what he went through), and something called "Labyrinth" (on this point his is especially unsure, perhaps a person or a group). Eventually he left New York for Freedom City, hoping his suspicions that the various empowered men and women there might have secretly had similar experiences, desperate for new leads. His sense of civic duty has also finally kicked back in: no longer does he ignore the Mafia for his personal vendetta, and out of costume is his a "transfer" to the FCPD from New York, assigned to the Special Crimes Unit. Personality & Motivation: Ben is one part angry avenger, two parts dutiful civic servant. He has long held every Mafia organization in America responsible for the death of his brother, and therefore focuses much of his costumed activities on exposing their corruption to the public, not simply attacking only powered criminals (though he now brings them down when he must). Outside of costume he is an excellent detective, but his noted for his slight temper control issues and his reckless investigative techniques (partially fueled by his knowledge of his near-invulnerability to mundane weapons). He is also something of a womanizer, though he has a great deal of difficulty retaining long-term relationships. In-costume he lives up to his moniker: a shadowy avenger, using fear as a weapon to intimidate criminals into submission. He keeps to himself, operating almost entirely at night (his day job takes up much of his time), and trying to obscure his origins and the full extent of his powers to criminals. He is new to the hero job, having taken up his identity only two years ago. He isn't afraid to seriously injure criminals into talking, though he always stops short of killing them: a rule he abides by even as a gun-carrying plainclothes detective. He doesn't know how to react around other superheroes: they're much less common in New York, and he is slightly wary of them possibly being altered human beings like himself. Both identities he wears tend to loose their temper and patience when it comes to the many dead-ends and stonewalls he runs into when investigating the cause of his mysterious powers. He also secretly doubts if he truly "escaped" at all: who was the person who helped him escape, and why did they help him? Powers & Tactics: Ben's physical abilities have been augmented far beyond the human norm. His strength is superhuman, and he is able to lift just under 25 tons above his head. His durability and stamina are far more impressive: his skin is practically immune to the trauma caused by normal firearms, and his muscles and skeletal structure are similarly improved. His agility and reflexes are also superhumanly acute. His running speed is clocked at 50mph, and he can leap 120ft upwards without a running start. Ben has learned to not rely on single parts of his physical abilities in the two years since he got them; there are tougher, stronger, and faster superhumans out there then he is, so he compensates by using all his abilities in concert. Before he changed he was a champion boxer for his police department's fundraisers, so his hand-to-hand techniques are sophisticated enough to give him and edge against much stronger foes, especially when he uses his superhuman agility to augment them. Complications: Temper (Relatively known for it in the the FCPD and NYPD.) Enemy (The Labyrinth Organization and it's tools and cronies, though he has next to no knowledge of this. They consider him a dangerous loose end, but also want to "re-aquire" him: he is easily one of their more well-rounded successes. Labyrinth is aware of his dual-identity, and when not attempting to ruin Santini's life from afar, they make more overt attacks on his costumed counterpart.) Responsibility (He must effectively split his time between the FCPC Special Crimes Unit detective duties, and his personal agenda as The Black Terror) Stats: 6+6+6+2+0+0 =20pp Str: 30/16 (+10/+3) Dex: 26/16 (+8/+3) Con: 30/16 (+10/+3) Int: 12 (+1) Wis: 10 (+0) Cha: 10 (+0) Combat: +16+12 = 28pp Attack: +8, +10 Melee Grapple: +24 Defense: +10 (+3 flat-footed) Knockback: -8 Initiative: +12 Saves: 2+2+7 = 11pp Toughness: +10 (+10 Con) Fortitude: +12 (+10 Con, +2) Reflex: +10 (+8 Dex, +2) Will: +7 (+0 Wis, +7) Skills: 32 ranks = 8pp Acrobatics 4 (+12) Notice 5 (+5) Investigate 5 (+6) Stealth 3 (+11) Sense Motive 4 (+4) Intimidate 8 (+8) Search 3 (+4) Feats: 23pp Acrobatic Bluff Attractive 2 Attack Focus: Melee (2) Benefit: FCPD Detective Connected Dodge Focus 4 Fearsome Presence 4 Hide in Plain Sight Improved Critical (unarmed) Improved Grab Improved Grapple Improved Initiative Move-by-Action Takedown Attack 2 Powers: 14 + 10 + 14 + 7 + 4 + 3 + 8 = 60pp Enhanced Constitution 14 Enhanced Dexterity 10 Enhanced Strength 14 Impervious Toughness 7 Leaping 4 (x25) Speed 3 (50mph) Super-Strength 4 (24 tons) DC Block: Unarmed Strike 10 --- 25/Toughness --- Bruised, Staged Costs: Abilities (20) + Combat (28) + Saves (11) + Skills (8) + Feats (23) + Powers (60) - Drawbacks (00) = 150/152pp
