  1. An line of text flashed in Razorwing's HUD as he leaped and tumbled to avoid a barrage of gunfire. ::ALARM.ACTIVATED:: Oh, hell no! Although he wanted to desperatley thrash the goons who had the audacity to take shots and him and get the information concerning the drugs he had come for, he couldn't let someone take his ride. It'd be a loooong walk back to the fallout shelter. Wanting to ends things as soon as possible, Razorwing aimed his grapple gun at the nearest gunman and pulled the trigger. A half-grin played across Razorwing's face as he stepped back off of the rafter, pulling the bound man along with him and using him as a counterweight.
  2. Snare check. Power Attack. Reflex save DC 20. (1d20+7=15)
  3. Toughness save DC 18. (1d20+9=17) FAIL! Ok, at Bruised -2 now O_o
  4. Suzaku's punch connected with Razorwing's jaw with the impact of a bag of bricks, dazing the younger hero. He was barely aware of his opponent's arms wrapping around his neck. When his vision cleared he found that they were both on the ground, his weakened body pinned by Suzaku's skill. Then he noticed he wasn't getting any air, and for a moment, he thought he had finally met his match. But Razorwing was not the type to give up so easily, nor was Kamisorihane content with such a lackluster display on the part of it's host. He would take a few moments to rest, to gather his wits, and to figure out a way from the Vermillion Bird's grasp.
  5. Toughness save DC 18. Bruised -1 applied. (1d20+9=10)
  6. Opposed Grapple check. (1d20+14=17) FAIL!
  7. sorry, was on a impulsive camping trip. waiting for GM post?
  8. Razorwing ducked beneath the palm-strike as drywall rained down on his shoulders. With a quick tuck-and-roll behind Suzaku, he came up with an idea. Remove the night-vision goggles and this fight is over! With expert execution, the young hero grabs at his opponent from behind as he stands up from his dodge, sure of his own ability to grapple the man in black. It took all of his self-discipline not to curse out loud when his arms wrapped around thin air. Wary of a counter-attack, Razorwing dove back in a somersault, landing at the opposite end of the room.
  9. Grapple check. (1d20+14=22) EDIT: didn't see new house rules, but it matters naught! Grapple check. (1d20+11=22)
  10. Toughness save. (1d20+10=14) FAIL!
  11. "We don't kill people in Freedom City, no matter what," he said threateningly to Rock. The young hero tried his best to convey the message, though he felt like a hypocrite hearing his own words. Who was he to admonish someone else's actions when he himself had committed similar acts during his time as Ronin's apprentice? Razorwing noticed the unique load-lifting machine hurtling towards him just in time to leap away from the attack. His finely-honed reflexes had saved his neck yet again. Standing from his rolling dodge, the young vigilante pulled his grapple gun from it's holster, aimed up at the catwalk, and pulled the trigger. The swing line found purchase, and he reeled himself up towards the attacker. Aiming his gun at his attacker, Razorwing fired again. The tethered line wrapped around the scientist, his arms and now bound to his sides.

    Power Ring

it's the scan-thingy the power rings do. If you've read GL, you've seen them do it. It scans whatever it is that needs to be studied and details it's compostion and such. Using this in conjunction with the rings Investigate skill and Mental Quickness, it could Take 20 and beat DC 45. Same could be said with the Library Feature, but with Knowledge skills instead, to simulate it's expansive memory/knowledge stores.

    Power Ring

Hey, gang! I've been tooling around with a GL expy for the last few weeks and have come up with this power ring design. Now, I know what I want it to do, and I think I've statted it out fairly well, but there are those more well-versed in the art of Power creation here than I, so I'm throwing it by you to see if everything adds up: Device 18 (power ring, alien technology, hard to lose; Power Feats: Restricted 2) [74pp] ok, a fairly straight forward mockup (re: blatant rip-off) of a Green Lantern Power Ring. The Powers themselves seem sound, but what I'm really looking at here is the Minion/A.I. I'm trying to capture the nigh-omniscient intelligence of the A.I. without it being overpowered mechanically. The way I have it set up is pretty simple, and that's what makes me think I'm overlooking something. The ring can use it's Mental Quickness, Features, and Skills to relay accurate information to the ring-bearer when prompted instead of the character making the checks, as seen in the comics. Does this build look correct? Is there something missing, out of place, or even misunderstood on my part to keep the ring from functioning the way I intend it to? Any and all help with this is much appreciated.
  14. Razorwing activated the winch of his grapple him and yanked hard, pulling the tangled gunman from the rafters. Two on the ground, four more left. The grapple gun's tether loosed itself from the fallen man, reeling back into it's housing. Utilizing his heightened mental alacrity, Razorwing scanned the rafters of the boat house through infrared lenses, looking for the perfect spot to ascend. Finding just the spot he was looking for, he fired the swing line and the spiked hook wrapped around a solid beam. The young hero rose up towards the shadows of the ceiling as gunfire tore up the floorboards where he was just standing.
  15. Knowledge (streetwise) check. (1d20+8=15)
  16. Razorwing spared a glance at the newcomer what flew in on feathered wings that seemed to recede back into his body upon landing. Tall, dark, broad shouldered, and covered in tattoos: the young man never met him before, but he knew it must be Knight. "Not a chance," he growled, setting his gaze upon the massive frame of Rock. "This f***er just broke a man's neck in cold blood..." he let the words hang in the air for a second, unsure whether Wesley knew his own violent history or if he'd believe that they weren't associates of his.
  17. The young vigilante stumbled forward from Suzaku's attack, though he quickly regained his footing. Razorwing scolded himself for his lapse of judgement. He assumed his kick would have laid his opponent low, but he was obviously no common fighter, and he repaid Razorwing's strike in kind. He underestimated Suzaku's fighting prowess, and he would not make the same mistake again. He drew a handful of shuriken from his utility belt, spun around, and unleashed a hail of metal stars at Suzaku. His aim was true, though the Vermillion Bird's aura flared as the shuriken struck him. Kamisorihane let it's host know it's displeasure with a soul-scathing shriek. Not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Better end this fast.
  18. Ranged Attack roll. Autofire. Power Attack. Subtle. Notice check DC 20 or Flat-Footed. Toughness save DC 16. (1d20+6=24) HIT!
  19. Toughness save DC 25. (1d20+10=22) FAIL! Bruised -1
  20. For a moment all seemed still in the universe as two opposing spiritual energies gathered power. The bright, burning Vermillion flame and the cold, inky depths of terror mixed together on the astral plane, great winged birds encircling one another until the seperate energies came to orbit, slowly drifting closer to one another until they merged. An explosion of black and crimson chi gave birth to a galaxy of colored emotion: despair and hope, fear and joy, yin and yang. Game on! The unseen, though not unfelt, collision of power signaled the beginning of combat. With blinding, post-human speed Razorwing took two long strides and dove horizontally through the opening left by the now forgotten Hua Ling. He corkscrewed as he flew, and threw his left leg up and over his own body while he was belly up, performing a sort of back somersault and striking Suzaku's trapezius with the kick before landing with his back turned to man in black.
  21. Nightmare check DC 10. (1d20=13) SUCCESS! Melee Attack roll. Charging. Power Attack. Def 20 until next turn. Toughness DC 23. (1d20+9=26)
  22. Initiative check. (1d20+12=14) Also, RW spent all his HP. Just so you know. Good luck, Gro =]
  23. Razorwing slowly folded his arms across his chest. He knew the origin of his namesake, so he must have some idea of what he was capable of. His eyes narrowed behind the night vision lenses of his cowl as the spiritual link to the Kageryu cried out for him to engage Suzaku. It was nothing new for Kamisorihane to compel him to create fear for the Shadow Dragon to feed on, but he had never felt so powerful an urge as he was feeling now. "I came here to thrash bad guys, but if you have a death wish, than maybe I can accomodate you." He could feel the Kageryu's pleasure, it's piercing shriek echoing in his soul, and he took a step forward. He was ready and willing if Suzaku was...
  24. From his perch on top of the bakery Razorwing could see flashes of electric energy on the second and third floors of the office building. Looks like someone else had the same intel. Let's see who. Rising from his crouch and taking a few steps back, he ran towards the edge of the roof and jumped, extending his arms as his suits glider wings sprung from their housing. He flew towards the building across the street, and when his descent drew him near the street, he drew his grapple gun and fired the swing line towards the row of offices. The grappling spike struck concrete, and he activated the winch, reeling himself up towards the third floor of the building adjacent to his target. He took a moment to assess the situation. Razorwing could see the carnage going on inside the lab, carried out by a team he had never seen before clad in black leather uniforms. While he could appreciate their methods, they were sloppy, and by the looks of it people were getting really hurt. Although he had savagely beaten his share of Freedom's criminal dirt bags, he never went so far as to continue the beatings after the threat was neutralized. Pushing off from the facade, he crashed through the window of the third floor with a forward somersault, and landed amid the wreckage of drug manufacturing equipment, right in front of a mountain of a man holding what appeared to be a scientist in his massive hands. Razorwing shouted, "What the hell are you doing?!", but his words were drowned out by the cry of a large bird of prey circling about the room.
