  1. Strange things were afoot at the small festhall. Moira could have let it pass on Chara's beauty alone. But then she noticed herself and Chara were the only actual people here. Not that she wouldn't have eaten the food, but she was pretty sure everything in this room but them were plant based. "Wait," she looked over to see Val and Joey, "aw crap." Looking over to Chara, she furled her brow, "see, I knew something was up before I went in here. But I let it go." Dropping her cup, she put her hands on her hips, "they don't deserve this. If anything, what you want is me. Let them go." She meant Val and Joey, but if the other people were prisoners too, she would want them free too.
  2. This was the kind of party that Moira loved. Everyone having enjoying themselves, having fun. The only thing that was out of place was possibly something in the drinks. She could not get a lock on Chara. But it didn't matter. The woman was amiable, and no one was getting hurt. She hadn't even lost Val and Joey. Then again, it would be hard to lose anyone in this room. It needed to be bigger, more grand, to match any of the festhalls of Olympus. "<Yeah, fun,>" she said, with a grandstand, hopping up on a chair, addressing the room, "<this is the greatest start to an adventure ever. Right, guys?!>" Looking over to Chara, she raised her glass, "<to a bountiful life full of excitement,>" she toasted her favorite words.
  3. Moira's perspective was kind of skewed in this crowd, but the giant of a lady sneaking up on her? Well, maybe the drinks were more than it let on to be. Still, she couldn't help but notice the woman's aesthetics. Getting distracted seemed to be the order of the day. She smiled, "<don't worry, I don't think anyone would rush out on you.>" Speaking in Greek, while not her native language, was something she picked up easy and became very fluent in while on Olympus. The height difference didn't bother her, she worked with heroes and villains that made the woman look minuscule in comparison. Tanking one more drink, she took up the woman's offer to hang around. "<Hey,>" she continued, "<what's your story, love? What brings you to the yard?>"
  4. Oh this looked familiar. It almost reminded her of this one time on Olympus. Except less bawdy and a lot smaller. Joey was right though, a party is a party. And there were plenty of things to see and do here. She looked to Val, taking her hand, "how about we go get acquainted with whoever we want," before pulling her along. Though she and Joey slipped out of sight and mind when Moira got to the tables. Technically, Moira did not need sustenance like mortal people did. But food and drink were some of the many favorite things in her life. Good company too! She mingled among the revelers, knocking back drinks and telling tales of heroic deeds. Man, this stuff was tasty. She'd have to find who made it.
  5. Moira placed her hand on the wall and walked forwards, as Joey mentioned it. She smiled and nodded, "sometimes the basics get you home." Listening to Val chatter, Moira pressed her hand against the wall, just to see if it was pliable. When the girl asked where they were going, she stopped. Where were they going? "This way, that way. Anywhere but here," she laughed. When they saw the supposed party, Moira couldn't help but wonder if this was just a trap. Seeing as this was so early. "Just for you," she muttered under her breath. Still, she couldn't let on to her guests that she was second guessing bringing them. She was a hostess. "Hey, check that out," she pointed, taking a couple of steps forward to the perceived revel. "Maybe we can get some directions," she said with with a facetious grin.
  6. Moira leaned back on the couch again, letting out a small almost inaudible sigh. It was relief but also mixed with concern for her friend. She was happy that Lynn was doing better, but she would be here for her on the downers. Then again, she would always try to be there for Lynn. She was so much more than a friend to Moira. "Well," she answered the question after a quiet moment of reflection, "last July, I hooked up with a friend of mine. Estelle is a sweet and smart girl. I think we complement each other. Much like you and me, but for different reasons," she rose her bottle, clinking it against hers. "Come November, we started travelling the world for the holidays. And we didn't stop afterwards. We visited most of the European hot spots, staying for a while." She sighed, "a few weeks ago, we started feeling, um," she quirked an eyebrow, "like we liked each other, but we wanted our space? Yeah, something like that." She smirked after tanking the rest of the bottle. "Hey," pulling out her phone, "wanna see what I look like as a blonde?" The question was rhetorical, as she scrolled though pictures, showing Lynn various pictures of her around various foreign landmarks. "It lasted for a while. I kinda look like my mother but, eh, less so." She switched back to the camera, pointing it at her and Lynn, "but now I'm home. And with people I love." She looked to the camera with a smile, snapping it.
  7. Joey and Val were some of the new regulars. Moira enjoyed hanging out with them, for the energy they put out at least. Who else would have said yes to this kind of proposition? Moira was kind of the field leader for this little trip, as Joey pointed out. She hoped she hadn't gotten the two in over their heads. "Sure thing," she said happily, heading towards the structure, "just stay close. While I'm good, I'm only one person." When they got inside it was pretty much what she expected. "So, a little trick I've learned," she said touching the wall to the left of them, "is that if you follow the outside walls of a maze, you'll eventually find the exit." She looked at her guests, "but we can roam around for a bit. Aimlessly." She turned to the forward hallway, beckoning the two to follow her as she walked into the unknown.
  8. Let's do this! The two she brought with her are generally nameless people you can breath life into. If not I will.
  9. Moira was to be helping out around the pub where needed. The wait staff was not overwhelmed. Sean was tending the bar. She was hosting. Making sure everyone was topped off and taken care of. Then again, it was the middle of the week. Nothing too crazy. Stopping to talk to the regulars. She was going to get in a game of pool, but the letter arrived as she and the group were walking over to the tables. "Fancy," she said, looking at the envelope. Opening it revealed an actual engraved invitation. She was actually impressed. She chuckled at the thought though. "Mazes and Minotaurs, sounds like one of those sit down dice games." Was it urgent? It didn't have a date or a respond time. But hey, she could check it out before things got crazy busy. "Just for you," she tsked, looking over to the people she was about to enjoy another game with, "you guys wanna come? Maybe we'll meet the actual bull of Minos." They laughed, and a couple of them took the offer. *** When they got to the destination, they all were awed by the sight of an actual maze. Moira looked at the other people around. "Just for you," she quoted the invitation with derision and rolled eyes. Her guests stuck close to her, as this was Wharton forest. And strange things did happen out here. But Moira was unafraid. If Asterion was in there, she was going to have words, strong words, and questions.
  10. Yasmin Yates Power Level: Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: In Brief: Former child hero, grown up, sans former powers Catchphrase: Theme: Alternate Identity: None Birthplace: Freedom City, New Jersey Residence: Vibora Bay, Florida Base of Operations: Occupation: Librarian Affiliations: Family: Sarah Yates (mother) Date of Birth: September X, 1994 Apparent Age: early twenties Gender: Female Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5'5" Weight: 110 pounds Eyes: Green Hair: Red History On her eighth birthday, Yasmin made the biggest decision of her very young life. She wished to be a unicorn. It was something she truly wanted to be, in her heart of hearts. It was a wish so pure and untainted, that it immediately caught the attention of a unicorn spirit. The spirit had no qualms with bonding with the child's own spirit. Yasmin was now able to turn into a unicorn! This was not something Yasmin took lightly. Inspired by the heroes of the day, she set out to bring a little bit of goodness into the world. Her villains weren't top notch - peer pressure, depression, truancy, the type of things that could teach a kid a lesson in 30 to 45 minutes - but she was doing her part. By the time she reached high school age, she was brought in to Claremont Academy. over the next four years, she learned much about her powers. But she would learn the hardest lesson, the one of letting go. On her eighteenth birthday, the unicorn spirit could no longer stay with her. It did not answer why, but told her that everything she did helped someone. Yasmin was not sad, she was grateful for the time that she had. After graduation, she lived a 'normal' life. Pursuing her passion to become a librarian. There she could continue teaching all manner of subjects to the younger crowd.

Wearing denim jeans, a black tshirt with a logo for The Vigilantes (a local band), brown sandals.] [A grainy/smoky picture of her on a stage, leaning into a mic on a mic stand, singing. Wearing a formfitting red sequined dress with a slit up to her hip, and light purple silk gloves that reach her upper arms. On the bottom left of the photo, it says Halloween '06.] Name: Moira Gender: Female Preferred Era of Pop Culture: Somewhere between the 60s and 70s. Both decades have a lot of things that I like. All of it, and then some. Partner Goals: Up front, I'm not a long term, settle down type. But meeting someone with the same joie de vivre would be nice. 12. Of course the the old apartment looked different without Gretchen's personal effects. She got along with the girl who used to be here, but there always seemed to be a kind of competition between the two. It was all water under the bridge, hopefully. Especially if it made Lynn happy. Right now, she was here for her. Taking a long drink from one of the brews before plopping down on the couch next to Lynn in a more relaxed position; leaning back far as she could. Though it seemed all was well on the home front, Moira couldn't help but wince when she heard that the two were 'over'. Even if just for 'now'. Sitting up, she sighed. "Yeah," she said sitting the drink down, "she was nice." Looking to Lynn with a nodding, "but you're OK for now, aren't you?" Moira didn't want to seem like some kind of vulture, swooping in and asking her friend's hospitality just after some heartache.
  13. The greeting was exactly what Moira expected. Not that she didn't want it that way. There's a reason Lynn was one of the first people she gravitated towards. Her fae friend was always welcoming. Even after that little incident with her girlfriend. Something that she didn't want to remember at the moment. Even dressed down Lynn looked radiant. Not too high fashion herself, Moira was in her normal formfitting jeans and a tshirt sporting her favorite local band, the Vigilantes. Moira met the ecstatic hug with one of her own, careful not to drop the box that clanked with glass. Wrapped in each other's arms, she kissed Lynn on both cheeks. A friendly, enticing greeting. Looking into her eyes, they were silent for a moment. "I've missed you," she said, partly not ignoring the question she posed her. It was an answer. Stepping back she cleared her throat and smiled, opening the box. "I've also got cold brews and some time on my hands." She grinned, "wanna take either off me?"
  14. Scion smirked at the 'not the wind' part. Which was true. The cosmic girl never accessed the wind. But, well, some people have their explanations. Though those explanations gave science the middle finger. "Just call it prose then," she happily shrugged. "Long time no see," she said as her costume disappeared in a golden flash, putting her in her normal outfit of formfitting jeans and a band tshirt. "I recently got back here from a Euro trip. Let no one tell you you have bad timing." She sighed, remembering her time with the duo, "how is Mick? Hopefully doing better than that little trip we had."
  15. Scion was facing down a couple of small time super powered criminals in the West End of Freedom City. The two thieves thought they could take what they wanted in broad daylight. Some criminals never did have any sense. "Freedom City, of all places," she laughed, "you better be glad all yo got was me!" Slamming one into the other. "Fortunately your hospital stay will be short, but your jail time will be..." Her, admittedly one sided, conversation was quickly interrupted. The two obstacles, in the blink of an eye, were now unconscious and handcuffed to boot! It "Pacer," Scion exclaimed, greeting the quick heroine, "how goes it, lady of the wind?"
  16. As time flowed, Moira and Estelle got... content with each other. They grew close. And that was fine for both women. But each knew they were not the settling down type. They had their love, but it was time to go their separate ways. With that, Moira caught a plane ticket to her old stomping grounds. Freedom City was like a big palette cleanser for Moira. It was her youth tied up with everything that made the world great. Not all of it though. But then you have the power to change things in Freedom City. From the smallest to the greatest. It's the reason she always had ties here. Unfortunately some ties got looser, but she would always remember them. First visit was to her home she always had. To check in on her father, the temple, and of course, Morleys pub. That was something she would fight for until her dying breath. Family. Even if Sean wasn't her biological father, he was her father. Ares was the type you went to when you wanted training or a fight. Sean was the one you went to when you wanted comfort and daddy's advice. Second visit was around the West End catching up on talk and people, but mostly, she wanted to see Lynn. The friend she'd always have. Plus, perching with her was always awesome. Well, if she'd allow. Moira looked at the last text she sent to Lynn. Half spelled out 'be back next weekend, love you' followed by a few emojis. That was last year. She sighed. It was almost indicative of her to be that flighty. Still it was fun. She sighed, shaking her head, followed by a quiet laugh. There was Lynn's door. It was Friday after hours. Knocking was purely customary, as she tried to open the door afterward. "Hey, anyone home? I brought the good stuff!"
  17. Five bored rich kids seek thrills. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. The area has 12 shops. Eats, clothing, books, alcohol, divorce lawyer. Cops have the parking lot locked down, but are unable to get the cranked out criminals under control. They're about to call in the big guns, but then you arrive. Or maybe you were there the whole time.
  18. GM There are few things one needs in life. To live, of course. Eat, sleep, repeat. That would get boring. So we find other things to occupy our time. Action, adventure. Though some use this as an excuse to be dreadful. Luckily there are people who will stand up and protect the less fortunate. The days are long and hot in the summer, but nothing is left to chance. Or is it? Immortals hiding from society, treating humanity like a chess game. Or just the causality of the universe. You could ask this group of youth in ski masks and nondescript clothing, but they really don't care. They're using what minimal power they have to ransack a row of businesses in a mini mall. Cops are on the scene. Pedestrians are freaked out. The kids are high on a cocktail ZOOM and MAX. Guaranteed not to kill you or you money back. Suckers.

  20. Scion A Night Out On The Towns (5) Do You Wanna Dye?! (5) The Bright And The Bewitching (2) Sad God Diaries (1) GM A Night Out On The Towns (3x2=6) 2 to Scion, 4 to Sanguine
  21. Moira looked at the scene with a flinch. This huckster did not know what he had gotten himself into. She was content in letting Mona handle these crooks. She looked to Mickey, "dinner? Unless you want to see this play out." She had her night set on just the two of them, so this was maybe something they could steal away. The two grifters were least worry, but the rock girl might be... nah. She believed in Mona. Tugging Mickey's arm she whispered in his ear, "I am hungry," she said nudging him one way, but was not about to break them up.
  22. GM Terra smiled confused as the small woman seemingly instantly popped up beside her. The concrete snowman crumbled and three smaller ones appeared next to Mona, doing a little wavy arms dance, "you see, love," she said in an adult-explaining tone, "I was and unfortunate recipient of a nasty bump on the head. From a space rock. And now I can do tricks." The three snow men bowed and crumbled to dust. "ask your mom or dad for ten bucks and i'll show you," she lifted part of the sidewalk up, balancing on it, "how to fly." Adrian scowled as the couple went away, looking at Mona watching Terra, he called out to them, "Oi don't leave yer kid hanging around weird people," he grabbed Mona by the scruff of the neck, "you never know what they might get into."
  23. GM "Hey man," Adrian said at Mickey while nodding at Moira, "your girl's giving me the eye. Maybe we should switch dance partners if you know what I mean." He pulled out a hand full of trinkets, "nah dude, you're cool. We can talk about god. I know a little." He pulled a pair of dice out, "you know when they were rolling dice at the cross? Some people say they wasn't gambling, but was trying to call god. See the future." He shook the dice, "care to see your future? Your lady's future?" Terra was all but quiet, she was watching Mona. Or trying to. Her significant other was flirting with the pretty woman. But Terra knew his love was for her. She grinned and waved at Mona trying to get her attention. A little concrete snowman popped up from the sidewalk and waved the same way. Beckoning her over to the spectacle.
