  1. Blueshift Live From the Jaws of Oblivion! Invisible Horizons Ferros Archevil [Aftermath] Gorgon Covalent Sleeping Worms Killing Time [NPC] and [GM] (title marked with '[NPC]' or '[GM]' for purposes of post counting machine) Archevil [Aftermath] (Colt) Habitat for Metahumanity
  2. That's Push for you. Stoic as always. she thought, "I've found a lot of things we can use. It'd take me longer to elaborate than it would for you to get here and see for yourself." "Well, I'll tell him. Don't suppose you care to let me in on what's going on?" She questioned over their comm link, "Contrary to popular belief, I don't know everything." She was only good at finding the solutions to problems she could research. About the same time, Mac arrived at Push's location, "Come on, hot shot," The little robot paused for a minute, unable to pass up the chance to take a shot at his creator's significant other, "Gee wiz!" Mac stuck his hands on what Push imagined might be his hips, if he'd had hips, "Didn't anyone ever tell you you're supposed to get cleaned up before a date?" It always amazed Push how the concept of sarcasm had made it into the robot's programming. Before long, Push was on his way to the control room. "Blueshift to Supercape, come in Supercape," She tried every radio frequency and quantum transmission signal the control room and her own equipment would let her muster. "Emergency in Nichtuberall," With Supercape's plethora of super senses and usual proximity to technology, the only way he'd miss this message was if he .... Well, she didn't want to think about that possibility (though she couldn't stop herself), "Blueshift and Push requesting your assistance. Safe transmission destination available. Use following coordinates for destination location."
  3. I'm slapping Blue with the same as Push. She's gone through some straits to get to the control room.
  4. "Right," Was all Ferros had to say. His trip back from the strange dimension within the mind of the monster they'd been fighting was a shaky one, and his stomach was still a little uneasy. "Geckoman," Ferros looked around them. There was a crater the size of a small supermarket in the middle of the city. Fires were still burning. Chaos reigned. "I think that having 'words' can wait, ya know?" He turned a sympathetic eye to Dr. Archeville. Observing his distant expression, the steel mask on Ferros' face softened, "Besides, I was in there. His psyche. He's himself again. Or at least he will be once he's done grieving." Ferros gestured with his hands, and pulled a small pile of slag from a nearby section of rubble. Before their eyes, it shaped itself into a kilt of sorts, like an old fashioned iron skirt a knight might have worn. He fastened it around Dr. Archeville's waist. "And that will suffice for the, 'less naked' part for now, I think."
  5. Doktor'd 9/6/2011 Blueshift 3 Points to spend. -1 Dodge Focus +2 Base Defense net 3pp spent Doktor'd 9/6/2011
  6. Ref DC 20 (1d20+7=23) He passes, unfortunately enough. You might want to reformat some of the power examples within those gadgets. Bold would make it much easier to spot the power you're using, etc. Jubatus; 40; HPx0; Tracer; 39; Bruised x2, Stunned @ 24, Prone @ outhouse Powerhouse; 38; Bruised x2, Stunned @ 23, Prone Wisp; 24; HPx2; Unharmed Push; 23; HPx4; Bruisedx2 Blueshift; 19; HPx2; Unharmed Marceau; 4; HPx0; Bruised, Stunned@38, Knocked out to sea Witch; 3; Unharmed, Paralyzed @Push Tracer is stunned; Powerhouse is stunned; It's Wisp's turn again.
  7. I guess that calls for initiative? Initiative (1d20+2=9) yuck.
  8. Ew, yea, I'm not sure I'd want that type of relationship. Her sendings seemed to place him in a better mood, By the Shard, I'm an idiot. You're right, sis. Let's do this! Zach floated in the air above the three hooded men ready to pounce at a moment's notice, Okay, I'm ready. Get into position. We should try taking them out before they can sound an alarm. Targets with guns first.
  9. Blue's got plenty of supersenses and gadgets to work from, I think we've got that covered.
  10. The garbled message barely came through above the interference. About half of it got lost in translation. "Mac, I need that message. Filter and re rout it. I want it cleared up." "On it!" The little robot fiddled with some of the controls on the console in front of them. When he replayed the message, it was clearer. Blueshift's fingers danced across the two of the six keyboards in front of her. Finally she pressed 'return' and spoke into the mic, "I'm here, Push. I'm glad you made it. Now we know why we weren't disturbed while hacking this thing. You must have kept them at bay," Blueshift smiled, her resolve nearly faltered, slipping into her feelings for her boyfriend. She shook her head, she needed to stay clear minded, they needed to get on top of things! "Working on a damage report now. I suggest we regroup in the control room. A few of the halls are collapsed, but there's at least one clear path. I'm sending Mac to your location. He'll lead you back here." She waved a hand toward the door, and the little robot sped off. "And Push?" She hesitated only slightly, "I'm glad your okay, Baby."
  11. "Even so," Ferros' calm voice rolled over the heroes assembled on the rooftop, "The West End is nothing we can't handle, ya know?" He lowered himself on his flying disk passed Jack, Jill, and Miss Americana. When he passed Jack's eye-level, he added, "Sorry I'm late. Got the call in the middle of a trance. Proved a little more difficult than I thought it would to pull out." Ferros lowered himself to passed the other heroes to the street level, "The others are right," He called to the citizens of Freedom City, "Now is the time to remain calm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the people of the West End have always done their part to help out us heroes. Why stop now? Remaining calm is the best thing you can do, better for us to concentrate our efforts where they're really needed that way," He pointed toward the sky even as he finished speaking. It truly is massive, Ferros spared only a glance at the world-ending threat in the sky. He was still new to being a hero, but he had to set an example! He needed to be confident and composed.
  12. "Works for me. Shouldn't need a ride if it's just a few blocks. I can walk. Gotta stay in shape somehow." Blueshift offered as she worked her way toward the hole in the ship, brushing her hair behind her ear as she went, "Mac!" "Right, coming!" The little robot sped over and rested on her outstretched hand. Since his jets wouldn't keep up with her, she simply deactivated him temporarily and placed him in the specialty harness on her back below her cloaking device. "Now, no telling what we'll see when we get there. Or won't see. Eyes sharp, boys. Other senses too." With that, Blueshift vaulted over the scrapped edges of the hole and fired up the jets in her boots. She sped off toward their destination like neon blue streak of light.
  13. Yea sorry, but weekends are killer on my nerd life as you said. I'm on it now, though. EDIT: if needed she can use her Gadgets to increase her movement speed and add to the speed in her boots.
  14. I believe the activation of master plan is a Free Action. Therefore you still have all your actions left. Move to get to Tracer, and Standard to Snare him is fine. Do you have an attack roll?
  15. I'm very busy, but I am paying attention. Should post IC soon...
  16. Got Ferros ready and waiting. Just let me know (posting here is fine) when you put of the IC thread, please.
  17. The notice really isn't necessary. You see what the initiative and status gets you. And you've got quickness, so that's a free action. Tracer's in the outhouse, hurt pretty bad. Powerhouse is in a powerhouse shaped crater in the sand near the beach also hurt bad. Still a crowd of "zombies"
  18. No. I avoided that topic entirely. So she still thinks that we're from the land of the windmills. Zach zoomed ahead in his nearly incorporeal form. Wherever he found leaks, cracks, or piping, he traveled through those rather than through the main tunnel. Though whether it was to stay out of sight, or to avoid his twin's tiny fists was unclear. It happened before I even knew I was doing it. I just wanted to beat Brian so bad I got carried away. Her vines heard it too. They went crazy and started demanding answers. I had to tell her what had happened, at least. Zach's mental tone was down trodden. He was distracted, and wasn't keeping his eyes on where he was going. More than a couple of times he'd been forced to double back after reaching a dead end in a wall or pipe. Now I'm not even sure she likes me anymore. So much for bearing your heart and soul. Humans can really suck sometimes. Remind me why we're helping these ones again?
  19. Popular Science Magazine Super Profiler: Blueshift Our team of techno sleuths held an interview with Freedom City's own Blueshift. Here are the quick 20 questions that they came up with. Regrettably, Mac, her autonomous assistant robot refused to comment. This smoking blue clad cat gives up her secrets to the writers of Popular Science. See Also: "Blue-shoot" Photo Op (page 27) 1. Is blond your natural hair color? "No, Brown. Blonde is created via chemical balance shifter. Invented it myself." 2. How much do you weigh? "You're not supposed to ask that. But I'll tell you if you're willing to do the math. 8.8125310859821747629x10^-26. It's just Daltons, so the conversion shouldn't take too long." 3. Here's a question for the fanboys of Freedom. Are you taken? "Yes. I'm currently dating Push. Though, things could be going better. We never seem to talk much these days." 4. Do you find that the super hero business gets in the way of your personal life? "Oh yes. Incredibly so. I never have time to read anymore." 5. In your profile, you mentioned reading as one of your favorite passtimes. Who is your favorite author? I'm a fan of the classics. Isaac Asimov, Jules Verne, the usual." 6. What are some of your other hobbies? "Well, with an over-clocked brain like mine, it's really easy to get bored. I like doing things that require my hands. Since they can't keep up with my brain, it tends to slow me down. I like to tinker, and sometimes if I'm really bored, I'll play 'Six Clicks to Jesus' on Wikipedia. Though I have to do it manually, if I just use my brain to search the net, I just beat it immediately. Also, I've memorized every iteration of that game anyway. Sorry. Rambling. Next question." 7. Our research department has shown that you've worked along side many of Freedom's other heroes. Who's your favorite partner? "Well, Push and I work well together. It's part of the reason we're still dating. But other than him, I really like working with Dr. Archeville, Ironclad, Victory, and any of the city's other prominent tech heroes. It's a chance to learn something new about how they do things. Trade secrets and what not." 8. There's been some debate on the internet about what your actual powers are. Care to clear up the confusion. "Sure! I obviously have a superfast, supersmart brain. Other than that, the only other 'power' I really have is my ability to talk to machines, which I'm still getting the hang of. Everything else I do is something that normal people can do with enough practice. Of course, 'Don't try this at home' always applies. Leave the super heroing to the professionals, kids!" 9. Some of the more underground circles insist that you're on drugs. Some papparazzi have snapped pictures of you popping pills and such. Care to clear this one up for your fans? "I don't mind at all. People should know the truth. All those pills are prescription. I'm heavily medicated for a long list of mental and anti-social disorders. Normal people get paranoid when they let their mind wander. Imagine a mind that wanders thousands of times faster than a normal human. I'm sure you can imagine the impact on that mind's psyche." 10. So then the pills are medications for illnesses. Many of our readers are the bookish type. Some even have anti-social disorders of their own. Would you mind sharing some of your conditions with us? Give the readers a chance to connect? "I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Agoraphobia, Acute Paranoia, Acute OCD, Claustraphobia, the list goes on." 11. Many of our readers have been asking about that unique construct of yours. Mac? Why name it Mac? "First of all, Mac is a he. Do not under any circumstances allow him to hear you refer to him as an 'it'. And second of all, MAC is actually an acronym. Mechanical Analytic Construct." 12. Mac's chassis is reminiscent of a Roomba. Was that on purpose? If so, why make a roomba fly? Doesn't that defeat the purpose? "Very funny. Mac looks like a Roomba, because his chassis is that of a hollowed out Roomba. I had one lying around, and it was the perfect fit for all the parts I needed to cram into him." 13. Why was Mac created? "Originally, I was bored, so I decided to try and create an artificial life form. Then, I reallized the massive list of practical applications he's got. Now I work on him daily, expanding his capabilities." 14. What's your favorite band? "That's easy. Daft Punk. Cliche, maybe. But true." 15. What are your thoughts on the LHC? End of the world, or not? "Heck no. It's totally blown out of proportion. Besides, just read some of Hawking's work and you'll see there's already far more black holes in close proximity to earth than the general public is okay with coming to grips with." 16. Who are your non-super hero heroes? "Ben Franklin. I feel like he'd be a cool guy to meet." 17. If you could go back in time and meet one of the presidents, who would it be? "Taft. I would really like be able to figure out the coefficient of friction between tub and taft." 18. If you had to pick a fight with a celebrity, who would it be? "Jason "Wee-Man" Acuña. I'd love to just put my hand on his head and see if he flails around at me. Meanspirited, maybe. But funny. And I feel like he'd be the type of guy to play along." 19. When on patrol, do you prefer to fly solo, or work with a team. "Team. Definitely. My powers are best suited toward supporting and coordinating other heroes." 20. Last but not least, we have a reader question. User GreenScale writes, "Are you bringing sexy back?" (Blushing) "That's hardly a scientific method question, don't you think? But yea, I'll play along. In fact, tell you what. I wasn't going to agree, but I think I'll take Popular Science up on their offer for a photo shoot. Can't hurt, right?"
  20. - Bring Defense up to pl 12 Cap - Bring skills up to PL 12 Cap - Pour more points into Mac - Enhance Intelligence and Quickness
  21. Doktor'd 9/4/2011 Blueshift's tradeoffs are listed incorrectly. They should be +2 Defense, -2 Toughness. Though she's not up to caps, her caps should still exist. Doktor'd 9/4/2011
  22. The man in the Fatigues went sailing back across the sandy beach. The multitude of blows delivered by Wisp at high speed from unexpected angles had been enough to rock his world. He'd never had been able to see her grab coming, nor resist his own momentum being used against him. *CRASH* The Tracer bodily demolished the hastily constructed outhouse.
  23. Okay, now that our IC is caught up with our OOC I think, It's Jubatus's turn. Jubatus; 40; HPx0; Tracer; 39; Bruised x2, Stunned @ 24, Prone @ outhouse Powerhouse; 38; Bruised x2, Stunned @ 23, Prone, DEF 11 Wisp; 24; HPx2; Unharmed Push; 23; HPx4; Bruisedx2 Blueshift; 19; HPx2; Unharmed Marceau; 4; HPx0; Bruised, Stunned@38, Knocked out to sea Witch; 3; Unharmed, Paralyzed @Push
  24. Okay, that's fine. Please make sure to include some description of ending the effect within your next post. Waiting on Az, I believe?
