  1. "<-and now you're getting sloppy in your builds too! Would it have hurt so much to stay away from the ero-games for another few hours to add some actually decent armour you ->" Aiko clearly wasn't relenting in berating any and all flaws she could find with Doctor Otaku and his work, only when the radio quite visibly gave up the ghost did she stop. When Guardian announced that he knew where the little bastard was hiding the blue haired girl didn't waste any time in dashing off to follow him. "He's Doctor Otaku, real name of Takashi Solo." Karakuri replied to the energy user's query, no sign of strain in her voice. Beyond a smouldering anger that is. "A genius when it comes to robotics, I'll give the slimy git that much. He's good enough at it that other villains contract out to him with some regularity. This was probably just a disposable drone; he'd skimped on the armour among other things. He will have three gynoid bodyguards with him; the bastard knows well enough that he is eminently squishy on his own. They're likely to be a lot more dangerous than the big tincan we just smashed. Still, I suggest smashing in before he gets away." As everyone started passing around introductions the gynoid figured she should probably chime in. "Karakuri Aiko, as you can probably work out I've got history with the *Bleep*-ing bastard." Aiko seems genuinely surprised at the bleep censuring part of what she said. "That's new."
  2. So, roll call. Make an IC post indicating where you are in the park, perhaps setting up a few posts worth of rp, and make an init check now while you're at it. (for when it will be needed) Init (1d20+12=26)
  3. Ocean Heights Amusement Park was seeing quite decent traffic this summer, not the greatest ever but certainly enough to keep the place running. As it happened, Aiko was one of those there this fine summers day, mainly because it was felt (by herself among others) that exposure to the public could certainly be a good idea to try and help her get one step closer to a 'normal' mental heath state. Currently she was at the arcades, where quick reflexes, a quicker mind, and some pretty damned good technical 'skills' meant that she was currently setting her fourth high score of the day.

    Meltdown (OOC)

No problem, happens to most people at one time or another.

    Meltdown (OOC)

:?: Shouldn't hit since Aiko has a Def of +12 given that she's already acted during this combat, admittedly not doing anything apart from moving but still acted. No feint or other action to deprive her of her dodge bonus has been mentioned either. What am I missing?
  6. "The slimy bastard can and will simply replace them, and me. It's not like it's bothered him to do so before." The gynoid seemed to barely take a moment to think before answering, but that was simply due to her being able to process it all at such high speed. What looks like a few seconds of deliberation while Fleur spoke was actually several minutes worth of mulling it over. "Claremont is probably the best option at the moment, Summers-sama will quite probably be understanding, if he does not already know about or at least anticipate this. And there are sufficient facilities and expertise there to help."
  7. Mongrel Angel Blurring the Lines Aiko Karakuri Plastic Flowers Sound and Fury! Terror of MechOtaku
  8. Finally got that post up (had storms moving around over here. The rain is welcome, the thunder and blinding lightning less so.) And regarding the mecha being remote controlled; must have missed that. Not that Aiko would know it right now if it is so; one more thing for her to be pissed about when she finds out.
  9. Even as Aiko kept up the scorching vocal barrage while dashing forwards she remained quite aware of what everyone else was doing. The imprompto cosplay from one of the other heroes would have had her smirking, but that would have meant she'd need to pause in throwing insults at the slimy bastard that was Doctor Otaku. Said insults ranged from deriding the young genius' taste in soft drinks to questioning his mothers fidelity, but markedly never questioned the japanese villains skills when it came to robotics, doing so would have been kinda hypocritical coming from the gynoid. Just after the energy based assault had sent the giant mecha reeling Karakuri launched herself off the ground at what she simultaneously derided as a "<-overcompensating, oversized, ego boosting waste of effort!>" As she screamed out the last few words the blue haired gynoid struck out with a powerful kick to the side of the tin can, using the motion to flip her backwards and landing gracefully on the ground.
  10. Right, so it's my turn. Aiko is going to run up and leap at the big bastard and throw a full on Power Attack Kick; still throwing out profane language of course. Round 1: Power Attack [-5 Attack & +5 DC] vs Otaku (stunned), DC 30 it hit (1d20+5=22) I'd wager that's a hit. And that's it I think, no spending those shiny HP. If the ----er falls down at this point Aiko is going to dig him out of that thing and berate him for being such a wimp. Mind you, she's already pretty much doing that, but she'll feel better about doing in his face.
  11. Oh, and I forgot to mention it. This encounter trips Aiko's Enemy complication, and her Deep Ties feat. So she nets 2HP on top her starting one. :D
  12. Knowledge: Popular Culture (1d20+5=17) And Aiko at least recognises Scraper for who he is. I'm not going to bother rolling for her knowledge of Otaku, it's beyond what can be gained by a die roll anyway.
  13. The moment she'd heard Otaku was in town and up to his usual antics Aiko had dropped everything she'd been doing and set off at her top speed to try and intercept him. She rounded the nearest street corner behind the mecha just in time to see someone, a small part of her quickly threw up the name Luke Lafayette, grow to match Takashi in his latest giant attempt to compensate for a certain part of his anatomy. The gynoid wasn't interested in what the redheaded celebrity was named, or who he was in any way, though; that worm Solo had most of her attention. "" And at that point Karakuri's shouting, in her native japanese, went straight for the cussing. Fortunately those who'd understand the foul language, beyond the fact that whatever the blue clad and haired girl was shouting it was harsh, were few and far between even in this city.
  14. Initiative Sparksmith - 23 - 2HP Mongrel Angel - 17 - 5HP Warriors - 15 Divine - 14 - 4HP Leader - 13 Bruisers - 10 Alright, combat time. Everyone gets a HP for the civvies in the potential crossfire (they'll act here and there during the round, no set Init). I'm choosing not to trip MA's enemy complication right here at the start, I'm already sitting on the most HP. It will get tripped if this thing draws out aftet his encounter though is my verdict. Everyone (apart from the as yet unseen Leader) is a minion, so have at it.
  15. "Been doing it myself since March '08. Started within the week after arriving in the city. Can't say I ever tried to cultivate a secret identity, in this city you can be certain when something is going to-" Alex was interrupted midsentence by over a score of angry red flashes, a peal of thunder, and the smell of brimstone (or to be less charitable, rotten eggs). "Cover brief mortals! Your doom is at hand!" Near two dozen demonic figures had suddenly appeared inside the pub, twelve of them looking like somewhat nastier, six-foot-six versions of near caricature devils, another ten stod near eight feet tall and seemed to scorn weaponry. The one being all high and might was a rather runtish little figure, a hardly even four feet tall, with black bat wings whose entry had knocked over the trio of heroes' drinks. "Hand over the mongrel breed and you might be spared puny-" [Cue Sparksmith's action]
  16. In case it's relevant: Initiative (1d20+12=21) Aiko's first postage will consist of her arriving and, for once, being foul-mouthed. Nothing translated as yet though, when she starts in English she'll find out that she's got an auto-censur.
  17. Right, terribly sorry 'bout the delay. While an IC post will be up shortly I can already ask you to roll Initiative, roll well and you can get to punch the bad guys in the face mid monologue. Initiative (1d20+1=17) Well, before Alex here does. Initiative, Bruiser demons (+1), Warrior demons (+1), and Leader Demon (+7) (1d20=9, 1d20=14, 1d20=6) Initiative Mongrel Angel - 17 Warriors - 15 Leader - 13 Bruisers - 10
  18. "It helps to hear that. I mean, I knew it intellectually already, but knowing it on an emtional level is something different." Aiko sighed, a subconscious action on her part which showed just how much detail the aptly named Doctor Otaku had put into her design. Whu, whe what?" For a moment the gynoid is honestly flabbergasted, and even with her processors working as fast as they did it was a lot to work through as Fleur dropped that metaphorical bombshell. After a moment Karakuri collects herself and delivers an answer, bowing deeply as she does so. "I would be most grateful if you would see fit to grant me custody of my two deactivated sisters Fleur-san. I likely can't manage to free their minds as my own has been liberated, but at least I can try."
  19. If Alex hadn't already been smiling she would have been after Moira made the 'hands' compliment and Kurt did his tomato imitation. Her lovely girlfriend had a talent for double entendres, more than a few of whom were genuinely unintentional, at least as far as she could tell. Then the young man did his trick conjuring up a pair of drumsticks out of thin air. And that was when it clicked inside Maenheld's head. "Heh, that it took until now for me to figure it out. You're Sparksmith aren't you? So, from one public hero to another: How do find the life?"
  20. "Heh, good to meet you too Kurt." Alex offered the young man a friend a handshake while slipping her other hand round Moira's waist. "And yes, I did come to see Moira. And yes, we do know each other, very well in fact."
  21. To say that Alex was a bit pleased at Moira's welcome would be a bit like calling the ocean a little wet, it had been a while since they'd last seen each other after all. The angelic woman cheerfully returned the redhead's embrace and did seem to have to restraing herself a bit when it came to returned kiss; there would be a time for more later on. "Oh, it's not like I can fault your own looks, my most succulent strawberry." She replies with a smile. "Anything new since last time?"

    Meltdown (IC)

While Aiko hadn't been privy to whatever mind trick the Scarab had pulled to give everyone else a tour of the place she had tricks of her own. Sweeping out with her own 'mental trick' of connecting with electronics the gynoid found, after brushing softly against the sophisticated workings of the other armoured flyers suit, the security network of the plant. Barging into that, speed being of the essence, she quickly had a mostly complete layout of the plant. Granted, there were blacked out areas where for some reason the internal cameras and other surveillance was either shut down or just didn't reach. Still, it was enough for her purposes. "Very well. Onwards." Karakuri says to no one in particular before following Scarab towards the reactor.
  23. It's villanous Ultimate Mimic from the corebook.
  24. For when it is needed. Mongrel Angel, Divine, Sparksmith and Demons in a bar. There will be asskicking.
  25. Alex didn't frequent Morley's as much one might believe given that the titular owner was her girlfriend. She had loose presence to maintain across the city after all, with no real pattern to the shapechanging superhero would turn up next (in addition to the many other heroes of the city) there had been a reduction in crimes targetting young women in the last few month. Maenheld felt rather pleased with that. But one thing that Morley's had that no other pub/bar/restaurant/cafe or the like in the city could boast about was the fact that it was the only place where Mongrel Angel made no effort whatsoever to hide who she was. In fact she would usually leave her wings out as long as there was room. Part of her mind recognised it as being a rather instictive way of marking it as being hers due to the relationship with its owner, another part found this funny. In any case the evening of the 14th, a wednesday, was one of those times the dark angel had intentionally not informed Moira ahead of time that she would be dropping by the pub. It wasn't certain if the young goddess would be there or not, but that was in a way part of the attraction in doing something like this. That meant that seeing the redhead was that much sweeter. So after diving out of the sky and landing in front of the West End pub Alex enters and takes a look around.
