  1. Are we talking Gygax-level traps here? As per the communications thing, I can reach a 26 if I take 10 for the ritual. What modifiers do I need to make the communications power two-way?
  2. "And leave our backs exposed to enemies who know not when they will strike next? I do not think so. That would be the coward's way ou-" The Vestige stops talking to Captain Knievel as he spots a form rising out from under the concrete. He reacts quickly and releases the pent-up magical energy in is hands and watches as it speeds off to impact Dark Star square in the chest. "Ah, spirit! I was wondering when you would show up?"
  3. I was suggesting having The Vestige whip up something like a massive communications spell so that everyone can talk to one another without needing to speak and without needing to have an item that can fall off or break. Aside from that, are we only allowed one invention/artifact/ritual per crafter here?
  4. Shall I handle the communications then? I think I can prepare a spell just for that occasion.
  5. That's our exit strategy
  6. Still have room for one more? Since this is an Else World game, I'll have to up the damage portion quite a bit. What would be the effect of dropping around 50 million pounds of molten lava on the base?
  7. I'd just like to clarify that since The Vestige is off of the ground, he has a wider definition of what "below" him means. So most likely he can react to when someone rises up from the concrete. In other news, The Vestige barely fells Phantom's attack. Toughness save (1d20+11=29)
  8. Alder, I'd like to see your take on The Vestige. Would the stuff on his char sheet be sufficient or perhaps I can send you more of his backstory to mold things out.
  9. So we've got Malice, Captain Knievel and Aristodemus. Anyone else want to join in?
  10. Let's get a few more guys in here first.
  11. Hopefully you won't need to tear out anymore hair Doc. I'll PM you later with the details. As for the reappearance, they reappear in the present day before the start of the next day but days or months would have passed in the adventure and it would show. New scars, tattoos, etc.
  12. It depends on what you guys want. I'd prefer for this to be canon so that I can use it to set-up one of The Vestige's antagonists (that I'll submit as an NPC) but the decision is ultimately up to you guys.
  13. It's night time and you prepare for sleep. As soon as its soft touch caresses you, you wake up and find yourself in the midst of a battlefield. The air around you buzzes and cackles with untold energy waiting to be released as men and women fight one another and oddly humanoid reptiles with many performing moves seen only in movies, japanese animated films and certain superhuman brawls. Suddenly, you hear a roar as a massive snake-man charges at you with massive weapons bearing an assortment of spikes and jagged edges. I was wondering if anyone was interested in a little time travel? Note that the time the characters would end up in would be far far into the distant past circa the time of the Golden Age of Atlantis before the Cataclysm. The characters would have been preparing to go to bed and then they find themselves awake in said time period. Any aftereffects would happen only to threads and storylines after this story but I foresee that these would mostly only be social matters and not anything world-shattering. Who's interested? note: I will only be GMing this thread and I'll not be bringing in The Vestige into this. Though his component souls/psyches would make appearances.
  14. It seemed that it was my turn. Sorry about the wait folks. The Vestige readies his blast against either Phantom or Dark Star emerging from the concrete.
  15. Expecting an attack from below, The Vestige lets go of his sword, letting it fade back to the dimension from where it came, and begins to gather raw mana from the environment around him as he rises sixty feet into the air. The energy cackles around both hands expectantly. They await to be discharged on the first hero who emerges from the ground.
  16. "Then it seems you and your kind have a lot to atone for. Several millenniums to be exact." As The Vestige speaks to Dalkaresh, wisps of aether begin to form into a massive blade of obsidian. He hefts it up with one hand and points the tip at the fey. "You will be the first of your kind to pay for your trespasses." Gripping his sword with both hands, The Vestige prepares to attack.
  17. I'd like to add Ritualist to The Vestige Edits done by Geez3r
  18. A massive obsidian blade appears out of nowhere nearly slicing Dark Star in half if he hadn't reacted in time. Instead it swings at the air about a foot away from the cosmic hero. Wielding the massive weapon is The Vestige. "It seems that we meet again spirit. Perhaps I should take things seriously this time?" Casually turning his head to meet eyes with Captain Knievel, he addresses him. "I suggest now is a good time to make your escape Chaoschilde. I will delay the spirit in his capture of you. RUN!!!" Afterwards, he aims another swing at Dark Star. This time, the blow connects and he seems to follow it up with several quicker strikes in the same area as the first one. "Do you feel it now spirit?"
  19. Sorry for not replying. The power to my neighborhood got knocked out for about a day due to a storm. Posting now...
  20. Sorry about the delay. Lost of stuff happened including losing power for my neighbourhood for about a day. The Vestige: *Assault on Precinct 13 *The Trial of Captain Knievel! *A Meeting of Ancients
  21. Congrats on surviving another year! :P
  22. Reflex vs DC 21 Gravity Control (1d20+5=12) Stealth roll against Dark Star (1d20+13=22) as per http://endlessflight.net/freedom/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2067&start=200#p43663
  23. "Impertinent whelp! I AM FROM ATLANTIS! How else would I know about the treaty forged by your kind and mine? I... We were but several of those who bore witness and added our own energies to that pact. There was no clause there that allowed your kind to stray here even if Atlantis now is lost to the sands of time." With each passing moment, the aura of anger and hatred grew around The Vestige until even the dimmest fool could feel it.
