  1. Teh problem is that when you downsize, your attack and defense get higher, and when you upsize, they get lower. So, if I started with a PL4 def 4, att 4, tough 4 damage 4 (from strength) then when I am a cat, for example, I end up with def 6, att 6 tough 2 damage 0. And when I go to elephant size, I end up with Att 2, Def 2, Tough 8 Damage 12. How to balance this out, when I want the guy to be fairly good in all forms at all sizes? Now buying strike 6 can take care of the damage, keeping it flat across all sizes, and just my strength for carrying and pushing and the like changes. No problem I could buy the normal toughness power feat (as per the house rules here) which covers going down but not going up in size as the refs have said on many occasions that they see the PL caps as 'hard' caps. If I could ignore the increased str and con for damage and toughness purposes (maybe a drawback, I could fill in the losses and gains to Attack and defense with power reserve or some such. Would that work?
  2. I am thinking of making up a character whose only form-unrelated power is Morch (3-4 ranks of it) along with a bit of growth and shrinking (to handle diferent sizes) For PL limits, it seems like shrinking and growth handle the toughness/defense and such trade-offs easily. But when they do not, could I take a power reserve to make sure I stay at max for all of them? Is that allowed?
  3. Sanctis, my technology-hating villain is looking for kindred souls for a little destruction. With his rather overboard technology senses, sensing a place with no technology, or technology being disrupted or eliminated should be pretty easy. Anyone want to meet up with him? From either side of the fence?
  4. It has been a few days since the Toystore, and Sanctis has not noticed a lot of fear form it in the populace. He has walked the streets and listened to the people as they talk and interact, and he has been a bit disappointed. And he has also learned how immeasurably huge this city is. His creators had given him a sense of modern society. But he is realizing that their thoughts and understandings are all very old, when people lived in tribes and small cities of perhaps a few tens of thousands. But this city has single buildings that have thousands of people in them. Single buildings. Of course, he could possibly destroy entire buildings, and he thinks the power is within him to do so, but that just seems ... wrong to him. He is not here to kill people, but to destroy technology. He starts to take to walking the streets at night, with his super-senses spread wide, looking for anyone else who might be on his side in this fight, someone else who destroys technology or lives with out it, So he walks, looking for any oasis of calm in this sea of Technology.
  5. Sanctis got away clean. And inteh paper the next day were some reports of the chaos and mayhem at a local electronics store Shoppers Gone Wild Yesterday, at about 3:00 in the afternoon, shoppers at the Gadgets 'R Us destroyed over 125,000 dollars of electronics in just a few minutes. They were joined in their destruction by Druid and Gravity Master., two of Freedom City's younger heroes. Druid especially did a large amount of damage, leaving several shelves virtually destroyed by his lightning blasts. Oddly, none of the perpetuators remembered anything about why they destroyed the electronics, though a few remember a voice commanding them to do so, but none of the witnesses were sure where the voice came from. Most of those who did not take part remember an almost irresistable compulsion to obey that voice, but were able to not do so. Gravity Master mentioned something about mind control while he hurried off with Druid to an unknown destination. What was the purpose of this event? And will it be repeated?
  6. Ok, we can go ahead and lock this and the IC threads up.
  7. Sanctis enjoys the show and sees no need to do anything more. He gets right next to a wall that leads outside, ready to leave when his owrk here is done, as it strikes him as far better to leave this a mystery for now, and not show himself yet. Humans fear the unknown far more than the known. And iwth that thought, he fades through the back wall and heading underground, flies at least 500 yards away before surfacing and going on his way.
  8. OOC: But they are still destroying things, right? They should be causing a large distraction and good cover for Sanctis in the store. IC: Sanctis is pleased to see the two trying their best to destroy the tech around him, and enjoys watching the lightning, so similar to his own power, working on the machines around the young superpowered man. But Sanctis does not do anything else, jsut enjoys feeling the sources of tech drop his supersenses, gloating a bit mroe as the next and the next and the next die.
  9. To be clear, a large number of people around them should be doing this also, as Sanctis's power is an area, and non-selective.
  10. When Sanctis gets into position, he unleashes his mental energy, catching both heroes in its area of effect.
  11. Sanctis stood at the back and watches the two heroes try and stop the destruction. He smiles and then moves around the store, moving like a normal human [bluff +22 (Taking ten)] and getting into position to take both heroes with a single blast. OOC: Meaning a mind-control blast, getting both of them in his cone of effect.
  12. I think this should be in the next forum down the list
  13. Sanctis smiled as he watched the people destroying their precious tech, smashing cell phones, and TV screens, as well as other destruction. As he watches a pair of tough-looking young men smash a glass countertop, and start grabbing everything inside Sanctis does nothing to stop them, even as he realizes they are not under hs control, merely taking advantage of the situation,. He reaches the back of the store and starts looking around while people destroy things all around him. He sees no need to do anything else now. He knows he could destroy the whole building, but he does not, not willing to kill so many people. He is not a monster, after all.
  14. As I said in my PM, I am not really into the PvP part of this site, and would prefer to face an NPc played by a ref. If that is not possible, then having a hero or another villain show up is fine..
  15. 6 vs 10 does not sound too much fun to me. I would really prefer facing an NPC, but if no ref drops by (I have asked one to stop by) then we can go for it.
  16. Sanctis moved up to the electronics superstore in Bayview, a quickness to his seeming steps and a look of some excitement on his face. This was his first foray, and from the stench of electronics in front of him, electronics he could senses more easily than a human could se the sun on a bright mid afternoon day. To those in the parking lot and walking in and out of the other shops, he looked normal, or nearly so, except for a wavering on the edges of his form, or an odd shadow wisping on the ground behind him, instead of a solid one like everyone else had. But in actuality, no one was paying attention. And Sanctis walked among them. He strolled up to the doors his feet quickening and and smile, or maybe a snarl, appearing on his face, giving him a threatening visage, that some started to notice outside the doors. And the smarter ones decided to shop eslewhere today. But again, they were few. Too few. Santic walked through the front doors, his lack of weight insufficient to trigger the mechanisms for the doors, so he walked through them, standing solid and ineffectual in his way. A nearby security guard notice (1d20+4=5) absolutely nothing and so Sanctis flowed on by him, just one of the other shoppers, as far as the man knew. An then Sanctis stood in the center of a crossroads of aisles and reached out for the minds around him, reaching into the cracks and weaknesses that his masters had put in the human race all those eons ago. Beneath the veneer of civilization, Sanctis was pleased to see that human's minds had not changed at all. Grasping, and possessive, and above all, easily led and controlled. Sanctis smiled. And lashed out. His power flowing into those cracks and snapping them wide open, and filling those minds with a single imperative, something they must do, that they could not deny the semi-immortal spirit in their midst. And hands reached for the items on the shelves or in their own shopping carts, hands no longer under the control of the minds that had controlled them for so long. Sanctis smiled broadly.
  17. If anyone wants to jump in, please post here before posting in the IC section If possible for one of the refs, I would like an NPC show up for some fun.
  18. And Sanctis headed for the Southside, for Bayview and the Electronics Merchandise Mart sitting in a nice shopping mall with several designer shops and a better than average class of customers.
  19. By the Great Dark Gods, it is everywhere! Sanctis stood on a street corner somewhere in Freedom, leting his sense reach out and feel for his bane, the technology that these humans had started to use, started to rely on, to the detriment of Sanctis' masters, waiting in their darkness for the humans to return to them. Sanctis muttered, "Machines to cook their food, talk to their neighbors, entertain themselves, dry their hair, clean their clothes, travel, even to wake themselves up in he morning. Just unbelievable. Unbelievable. They were so dependent on these machines, many could probably do nothing without them, nothing at all. "But there are so many, so many machines. Destroying will be a challenge, but there must be a weakness. Somewhere where they can be crippled, somewhere where .... But maybe a test run would be better, a test of his powers and abilities somewhere a bit smaller. He knows what he should be able to do, what he was created to do, but .... let's see. And Sanctis moved off towards a shopping center on the south side of Freedom City, heading for a center of technology, an electronics superstore. Humans and electronics together, a great place for a spirit to get started.
  20. Considering when this campaign stated, a two year reprieve might be about right.
  21. Editing Done Dropped all drawbacks Fixed BAB and BDB Dropped Electrical control by 1 rank Dropped two feats
  22. Ok, I will edit that. Yes, I like to write it out that way so it is clear where I am getting the bonus from. I will change the flatfooted around when I do my next edit. Ok on substantial. I think I will just drop the drawbacks since it is turning into such a major problem. I'll post here again when I get the editing done.
