  1. Character status Legionnaire - no bruises - no other conditions - HP's ||| Kizzy - 2 Bruises - no other conditions - HP's | Archeville - no bruises - no other conditions - HP's || Tech priest #1 - no bruises - no other conditions Tech priest #2 - no bruises - no other conditions The grey circles are pillars that go to the roof, everything else is just tile except for the stair at the far end that allow passage to the next room. There is no door between these rooms. The room is well lit by fire lanterns on the four compass points of each pillar and a humble (yet elegant) chandalier haning from the roof in the middle of the room.
  2. It's loud in the club, but the Legionnaire instinctively turns when the red robed handmaiden enters the building. She pushes past a bouncer trying to stop her from entering as the Legionnaire closes the gap between them. When she begins to speak, the handmaiden is out of breath, "Please... Sis...Sister Valencia - she's in danger..." That's all that needs to be said. Legionnaire turns to his new comrades, "If you want to help and are prepared for abttle, come. If not, you will only be a burden." With that, he runs out the door, making a dash toward the portable chapel that Sister Valencia resides in; his well trained muscles get him there in little time. The outside seems ungarded, but as soon they enter, they see two men, dressed in some kind of yellow armour. They also both wield long, ornate staffs, the ends of which glow a stark, blue light. These two see the group as they enter, their posture clearly indicates that they're willing to fight.
  3. Congratulations! Mahwidge. Mahwide is wot bwings us togever, today... Seriously, I hope it's a great day for you and the beginning of many more to come. Save me some cake!... unless it's fruit * (*Not that that's bad or anything, this homey just don't dig the fruit cake flavor, ow!)
  4. Sounds great! Look forward to seeing them both.
  5. Sounds great! One (or two) more questions before we proceed: Sister Valencia. She's a warrior? A hub for heroes from all time periods? Does she live in Freedom City? If so, where? If not, how does she send people there, and how will she contact Legionnaire once she is under attack? Once these are answered we can work out the rest as we go! It's Tech Priest KOin' time! :D
  6. Welcome Orlando! Hope you enjoy your time here What sort of character(s) were you looking at playing?
  7. I know you didn't want any combat, but I wouldn't mind inserting some conflict here with the introduction of a new character. The conflict doesn't have to come to blows, but it could. Your thoughts?
  8. At the question, Cadence hesitates, "Uh, yeah. We've met. She, um... I don't know anything about her, if that's what you're asking." She throws the end of the carrot into the bin under the sink. "You know, I've seen her around, but I've never... I don't know why she looks like my sister's character..."
  9. It's ok We can all make it out to the treehouse if you like and pause the game there, to be re-opened on the event of Lilac's reappearance? Hope everything is ok.
  10. Yeah, absolutely - he's about 20 feet down the hall, so he could easily make it into the kitchen with about 10 feet to spare. You could easily make the stove just inside the kitchen (on the left) with two movement actions. The door is one of those swinging ones without a handle or anything.
  11. Looks great! You should design these things full time and release them as ready to assemble products. I'd buy them in a heartbeat! I think they look pretty Star Wars-ish! I wouldn't bat an eyelid, for example, if someone told me they were direct from the movie.
  12. Absolutely! Ok, let's work this out. What would you like: Situation: Standard - bank robbery, mugging, bar fight etc Specific - someone is seeking the Legionnaire in particular Enemy: Standard - goons, mooks, burgulars in a group Powered - a single enemy or small group of enemies with powers Mixture - goons headed by a powered leader End result Nothing - just looking to fight Exposure - to the public, other heroes, villains etc Reward - specific goal (return an object or defeat a nemesis) From your first post, I'd be guessing a standard scenario with a mixture of opponents (A lower level PL leader surrounded by mooks) and for nothing to come of the fight. You can be as specific as you like with the scenario (ie: I want Legionnaire to stop a break-in at the museum with the fight moving to the section on ancient Rome), or I can just make one up. Looking forward to it!
  13. "I don't know - something about some Norse God or something. She didn't really talk about her projects much - in the beginning she did, but, when the audience isn't willing..." for the first time, there's a twinge of regret in Cadence's face. "Here, I'll get you something. Wait here." Cadence disappears, and can be heard thumping down the hall. She reappears less than a minute later with a large sketchbook and manila folder in hand. "Here. This is her research for the book. We kind of keep the study as it was. You're free to look through it as you want. I don't think she'll mind. She'd mind. She would've minded." Cadence rolls her eyes at herself and goes back to the fridge, pulls a carrot out and starts chomping on it. Inside the sketch book there are tons of drawings. Everything from still lifes through to people in motion, landscapes to anatomy sketches. Inside there's a cast of hundreds - characters being prepped for the series proper and therefore still under development and characters fully fleshed and seemingly living. Little notes are everywhere regarding various poses, costume ideas and plot lines. It turns out that Valkyrie wasn't even the original name for Rose's character. She was originally going to be called 'Exemplar', but according to one of the notes, that name was 'a little sissy'. Various other names seem to have been trialed (Paragon, Athena, Sol...) but she seems to have settled on Valkyrie. This new name led to a major shift in the character, from a normal woman blessed with super human powers, to a real to life Valkyrie! A Norse spirit who, in this case, was tired of seeing good men and women die for what they believed in and left her role as selector of warrior souls when she decided that she, herself, would put her best foot forward for the right cause. The book has various sketches of the Norse, Egyptian and Roman parthenon, but none of the Golden Age Valkyrie or her contemporaries. The manila folder contains research on many different aspects of the book, with a large portion dedicated to the concept of the Valkyrie and the Norse parthenon. There is only one mention of the Golden Age Valkyrie on a photocopied page from a text book. The text reads: The phrase is circled with a question mark next to it. Nothing else is said, however. After all this, Cadence speaks up, "Find what you're looking for?"
  14. Heavy indeed hits the giant Demon. His punch, however, seems to do nothing but wake the beast out of it's stupor. This close, Heavy can see something disturbing (well, moreso). The old man is smiling with the worst of intents, yes, but he also seems to be being digested by the beast! He bobs limply, looking out from the inside, his eyes full of malicious glee and yet he seems to be slowly dissolving from the outside in. Pieces of ragged flesh exist now where wrinkled skin used to be, but the man seems unmoved by his own plight. The Beast shifts, bringing one of it's legs to bear, swatting the armoured villain with incredible force. The terrible music of despair that seems to accompany this creature rises to a cresendo as it attacks. Kirk turns when Heavy yells at him, and though he ceases to flee outright, he falls onto his hands and knees, shuffling backward from the Demon.
  15. Haha! Love that. EDIT: Toughness DC for melee attack is 26
  16. Ok, you're up VM. Apologies for the delay :(
  17. As Grim collapses, however, she hears a commotion from down the hall where the bathrooms were. It's entirely possible that the real Jawbreaker has managed to stand and is stumbling around - that could lead to some complications later. For the moment, Grim as Jawbreaker looks very convincing, and the others don't seem to question her. The girl at the end of the restaurant doesn't look too happy about this turn of events, "A member of the Freedom League? Here? Don't they have, like, specific restaurants they can eat at or something?" She sounds convincingly distraught, but is silenced but the steely glare of the tall blonde woman.
  18. Quiett, you are my hero. That will be a huge help, especially since there are some GM's around here (not mentioning any names) who don't pull their weight in that area... ...I'm sorry, B. Seriously, great work, Q! Thanks a heap!
  19. No problemo, hombré... ...I took Spanish in Year 7.
