  1. Hi, Folks. I wanted to share a new site that I've been working on and finally unleashed to the public a few days ago. As many of you know, I created a play-by-post site called Groovy Gamers in 2004, had a couple of wonderful years running the site, and sold it in 2007, which turned out to be a huge mistake, but that's another story. I've debated on what to do since then, but have decided to finally put my love, money, time, and effort into something that isn't just a "project". This is it. If anyone here is interested in general roleplaying game discussion and play-by-post games, please stop by and check it out. We need all the good vibes we can get. The address of the site is http://www.roleplayrealm.com. We look forward to seeing you. Thanks for your time, Jason "Endless Flight"
  2. I'm sure there is a cost break to having removable gadgets, similar to DC Heroes. My guess is that it's a 20% break, rounded down.
  3. Thank you all for the warm birthday wishes!
  4. I pay more than that! Where do I get this sweet deal? :x
  5. Chat is back up. Of course they don't tell the truth! In the interests of keeping everyone informed, I'll be moving to a new host as soon as possible. There may be a day coming up where we are offline for a few hours. I'll keep you posted when this happens. Thanks for your patience. EF
  6. Freedom Leaguers, Due to some site resource issues with the host, I had to temporarily disable the chat until we get it all worked out. It seems to be a resource hog, at least as far as my host is concerned. Not sure why, but I'm looking into it. I will get back with you as soon as I can on what is causing it, but it's wreaking havoc with my account. Thanks for your patience, EF
  7. Map is fixed. Thank you. In what part of the includes file do I put the bookmark link at?
  8. I just saw this, but wanted to make something clear. Unless somebody knows how much I sold the site for, they can't assume I actually profited at all from the sale. That figure was never publicly released, for good reason. Barnum was well within her rights to remove her work when she pleased, and under any circumstances. My intention wasn't to sell the themes or the posts on the site, but the actual concept of the site itself. I hope that cleared it up some.
  9. Hey Freedomites, I've begun work on a new site that I'd like to share with you. It's called Play-By-Post Games, and it's going to be the resource for online roleplayers to find information on sites, resources, and other things that will help them with their play-by-post experience. I've had six years of experience with playing, gamemastering, moderating, and owning a play-by-post site, so I thought I would share some of my thoughts in a new endeavor. It is not a site for gaming itself, but a site for members to share tips and tricks, discuss and review gaming sites, tools and software, the games themselves and how well they adapt for PBP, and just all-around great discussion. Currently, I am looking for a few brave people to help me get started, either by helping me moderate the forum, or even writing reviews on sites, software, and games. Either way, I look forward to seeing you there. The address is http://www.playbypostgames.com. Sincerely, EF
  10. I'm an old-school guy. I like minuses.
  11. I was on the edge between getting it or not, but I probably won't now.
  12. I think the last time I borrowed a book was from the library back when I was 13 or so. I can't even remember the feeling.
  13. Glad you like it. It does take some ears to listen to Brian's more orchestral stuff, just because he uses more than the guitar, bass, drums set-up. He used accordions, celestas, theremins, and even xylophones. He would set up all the musicians in one room, sometimes up to twenty of them, and do about twenty takes to get the sounds right. He used overdubs, but only if it was necessary. Most of the music you hear on Pet Sounds was done 'live'. Here's a good picture of what I'm talking about It's definitely different than listening to their early stuff like 'Surfin' USA' or 'Don't Worry, Baby'. Once you get used to the sound though, it's heavenly. :)
  14. Anybody under 30 here probably hasn't heard Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys and needs to. I consider it the greatest pop album of all-time, sitting next to Sgt. Pepper's, Revolver, What's Going On, and a few others. Speaking of the Beatles, Paul McCartney got quite a bit of inspiration from Brian Wilson and has called 'God Only Knows' the greatest song ever written, including his own work with the Fab Four.
  15. Glad to hear the bank account is doing well. ;)
  16. I liked the ending. It was pretty much the ultimate adventure for him to go on. What else is greater than that?
  17. Thanks everyone! I've been so busy doing stuff, that I haven't had time to even check on the site. I've been busy with my new job and I've been writing the rough draft for a new RPG I'm developing. Plus, I've been busy with a few other projects. Thanks again, and if anyone needs anything, let me know! EF
  18. My prayers and wishes are with your family, H. Take care.
  19. That looks very cool! Glad to see some free advertisement! :)
