  1. Blue Bolt Vueriz hadn't been able to nail down her birthdate with the significant difference between Zirtimzar and Earth years and her inability to read English making it significantly more time consuming to calculate. She decided to stay quiet on that front, focusing instead on their predicament. Temporal barriers were something she was more familiar with than actual time travel. The chances of this being naturally occurring? Infinitesimal. That means that something was creating the barrier. So what were the options? Someone trying to trap time travellers? Wait for them to turn up, spring the trap, profit? Or maybe it was to prevent entry so that the person behind it could alter the timeline without time travellers coming to rectify the change. Perhaps the slipped in through a fluke or weakness in the barrier. Of course, the simplest solution was that the cosmic entity Lawrence had mentioned was out to get them, and was using its singularity to create the barrier... What was her life coming to that that was the simplest solution? Still, two of the three likely options were with direct hostile intent, while the third would probably still be hostile to avoid being disturbed. "If something has made a barrier against time travel, I think it isn't safe to split up. Is the barrier just around the city or is it broader? We could try escape its radius."
  2. Blue Bolt Vueriz was still wearing her shorts and crop top with her control gloves on to direct her board without riding it, although she had boots on rather than the bare feet she'd had for most of the holiday, and in preparation for classes had her belt with her gadgets. Her own mind was on the potential design of the spaceship she'd promised to build. She was gonna make the coolest spaceship anyone's ever seen- They weren't at the school. Immediately she went to reach for her bag, finding it missing as well as half the other students. Quickly she ascertained that her board was still present, jumping upon it's back to prevent another incident from separating her from it. She didn't know of this Hallowed Eve that the others were talking about, but could gather that it was not when they were supposed to be. She nods at Baz's theory about the flow of space-time being effected by something. If Lawrence's powers didn't account for such things interfering then his accuracy could be fouled in such a way. "That is a good theory, Baz. Or maybe a tachyonic field is interfering with his accuracy? Regardless if we do not know the source of the effect that caused our travel to be scrambled I don't think it would be safe to try leaving again. We don't want to get further seperated."
  3. Shooting Star Alice had to admit, she wasn't quite expecting such a complete surrender and hadn't been entirely sure if Predator would be willing to let the guy off easy for cooperating so she'd hesitated until Predator spoke again. She did her best not to slump in relief as her fellow hero agreed to let him run for it. Quickly however she rallied, deciding to get one final bit of snark in. "Also off you want I can hit you, but I don't know how well you'll be running away if you do."
  4. Blue Bolt Vueriz had looked up when Michael handed out the marshmallows, taking a handful from the golden boy, although that wasn't really that many. She had to admit, every rebel fiber of her body insisted that her and the boy should be natural enemies, but he was just so darned nice and helpful and she'd feel like a jerk for being rude to him. "Thanks." She said, as she popped her mask off briefly, holding her breath the whole time, to pop the sweet into her mouth, sharp teeth catching oddly on the confection. As a result, she completely missed Consuelo's marshmallow mouthed question as the translator took a few moments to reactivate when she reaffixed her mask. She fell back on the perfect response she'd found to such moments: "Haha, yes." She replied to the alien and mumbled noises her classmate had made. She took the canister from Consuelo with relish, tucking it into her bag with a quiet chuckle. She could eat earth foods, although they were quite hard on her stomach, but she found that several of the chemicals the humans used for commercial use could easily be made into tasty things to supplement her diet with some more Fluorine which she'd lack eating just regular foods. She refocused briefly on her project, and was tightening the containment on the image projector when Lawrence began explaining why he really brought his classmates here. She chose not to comment as she wanted the whole story before she said anything, but her mind still kicked into high gear as she contemplated the sheer scale of the threat he was talking about. She had no experience with interdimensional threats or destroying timelines. Travel between dimensions and through time were both banned in her own galaxy, so she'd never dealt with errant time travelling robot girls let alone hyperdestructive interdimensional invaders. This was beyond her abilities. But so was launching herself beyond her people's observed universe. She grit her teeth as Lawrence clarified that he wasn't asking for them to fight. She appreciated that this was just meant to warn them, but screw that. She wasn't going to stand by if someone was in danger. Shortly after Michael stood, she put her small project aside for the moment and joined him, although she didn't need to crouch to properly meet Lawrence's eyes. "No one comes to a school for super heroes to be normal. I may not be up to making separate dimensions of time or anything, but I won't know until I try. Besides, maybe I can replicate the trick that got me here and they can be on a short trip to the edge of the universe." She shrugged as she said it, even as a corner of her brain was screaming at her to stop. But what sort of cool rebel listened to something like common sense?
  5. Blue Bolt Vueriz had cut down her shorts and top to the shortest lengths that people seemed willing to accept on this overheated planet, and was glad for it as she plopped down in the sand next to Baz. Her eyes scanned over the unfamiliar stars of the alien galaxy for the thousandth time as the boy talked about going to space. She hadn't really thought about how this world, still struggling to claw it's way out of their gravity well would think about it compared to her home galaxy, but she guessed it made sense. She looked over at her classmate as he struggled to stay awake and the other three who she thinks she's seen talk with Lawrence and Mizuki. A strange impulse came over her and she looked over at her insectile classmate. "I could build us a spaceship. Not right now, but with the right materials..." She pauses, hesitating about what exactly to say. "I've done it before." She looks over at her bag, inspiration bubbling within her. She's got some tinkering materials in it, things she'd picked up as she went about her days at Claremont. Fishing out some things, she began disassembling casings and rerouting wires. She might not be able to take her classmates to space yet, but that didn't mean she couldn't show it to them.
  6. Shadowborne Aoife danced her way through the grasping puppets, sweeping her way through the crowd with grace. Her mind raced as she did so, trying to think of how they might cut the link that Paper had learned of between the Conqueror Worm and Casanova. Her immediate desire was just to kill Cas and be done with it, but she knows that the team wasn't about to accept that solution. She hated this, everyone was relying on her to come up with a solution, and if she didn't- Open a gateway. Let the Worm contend with the Darkness for all time. Muirne's voice was quiet in her head, but it was there. Aoife smiled warmly at the interruption, glad that Muirne was still there with her. She nodded in agreement with her progenitor, calling out to the others. "I have an idea!" She quickly made her way to Shift's side. She pulled the shadows that were restraining the Puppets back, focusing she pulled at the well within, a sheet of shadows appearing in her hands, which she wrested open, forming a tear through which only darkness could be seen. "Throw the Worm into the portal!" She called to Shift.
  7. Alright! Aoife is gonna do the thing! Dropping the Snare she is instead gonna switch the Schattenwelt Drawing Array to Alternate Power: [12 + 6 + 5 + 2 + 4 = 29PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Portal, Gateway, Aura, Covering) Concealment 4 (Shadow Covering; All Visual Senses; Extras: Affects Others) [12PP] Dimensional Pocket 1 (Well Storing; Extras: Duration 3 [Continuous, Lasting]; Flaws: Requires Grapple; Feats: Progression 2 [500lbs]) [6PP] Super-movement 1 (Dimensional Movement [Schattenwelt]; Extras: Duration [Continuous]; Linked [Speed (+0)]; Feats: Progression 2 [500lbs]) [5PP] Speed 2 (Extras: Linked [Super-movement (+0)]) [2PP] Super-movement 1 (Dimensional Movement [Schattenwelt]; Extras: Portal [+2]) [4PP] And open a portal to the Schattenwelt right in front of Shift and the Conqueror Worm.
  8. Reflex save, 1d20+10+5 = 32, forgot the Inspire on the actual roll, but that's an easy pass, then 1d20+10+5 = 33, Lol, Aoife just phases through the crowd.
  9. Blue Bolt Vueriz happily fished the first bag of ice from the freezer, the largest she could spot, hooking it to her skyboard before returning for the one beneath it. This was slightly more difficult for her diminutive stature, but she managed, even if she had to grab somethingto stand on to manage it. This too she hooked onto her skyboard, before returning for the one at the bottom of the stack. Despite stretching as much as she could she couldn't even touch it, her fingers dancing inches away from it's tantalizingly chill surface. This is where she made one of the classic blunders of short people trying to reach the bottoms of things. She jumped for it. Just a small hop, but it was enough, carrying her just inches off the small stool she'd been standing on as she seized her prize, a quiet laugh of triumph echoing from the bottom of the freezer, before she tried to lean back to get out. And went nowhere. "Profanity." She uttered, her Translator censoring the statement. She kicked her legs, flicked her tail about, tried rocking back and forth but failed to budge. She couldn't call her skyboard, hands (and therefore gloved) occupied with the ice she was holding. Thinking quickly, before one of her classmates caught her in such an embarrassing position, she searched around with her tail for something solid to pull herself with, finding it after a few moments. With a heave, she managed to right herself, emitting a small cackle as she clutched her icy prize, turning to see her tail still gripped onto Parker's wrist. She turned slightly pale for a moment, before a purple blush spread across her features. Yanking her tail back, she pointed an accusatory finger at the boy, with a cry of "YOU SAW NOTHING!" Before scampering away post haste (she would call it a valiant retreat). She was about to leap on her board and fly away, when she remembered the condition for the cooling effect Parker was maintaining. This stopped her short, and with a very put upon groan she (pouted) waited against her better judgement for her classmate, before taking off for the beach.
  10. Shadowborne Muirne weathered the rather tense exchange about Charlie's departure by doing her best to vanish without using her powers, and considered actually doing when the conversation drifted towards what happened with her own disappearance. The events prior to her rescue, and the events of that night spinning around her head as an ouroboros of self-recriminations and hatred for the people who nearly took everything from her a second time. She felt mirrored sentiments from Aoife, and the briefly commiserated over shared feelings of guilt and loathing, only focusing again as they entered the mansion. She'd seen places like this before, Síþwíf Dee's family estate and Breogo Sloane's house in North Bay were both similarly overwhelming. Once again she felt like the fifteen year old who had stared at this building larger than most of her village, for a long moment she is alone again. Shaking her head she tries to clear the melancholy from her head as she instead responds. "It looks amazing Charlie. How many can stay here?"
  11. Dryhten Dougal A shield of raw magical energy intercepted the icicles, where they cracked into a harmless mist of tiny ice shards, gently dancing in the lamplight. A smug look passes across his features as he steps forward gracefully to avoid the dreamed cup. "Come now girl, are you going to try a horde of rabbits next?" He places his hands together, stretching out a web of green light which he then slings at The Dreamer. It wraps around her, sinking into her flesh and clothes, slowing her movements and reactions.
  12. Realized I never rolled to attack, but he hits The Dreamer
  13. The Dreamer The Dreamer gasped slightly at the torrent of flames that threatened to engulf her, before a large scaly wing interposed itself between her and the inferno. The buck-toothed, scaly thing the wing belonged to shuddered slightly as it looked at Blackstaff before pulling back, revealing the unharmed Dreamer. She looked at Blackstaff, concerned briefly at the smell of burning flesh, but was relieved to see the unharmed form of her mystical friend. She assumed some unfortunate dream had been caught in the blast. As the enemy weathered Blackstaff's icy assault she focused, the air above their attacker twisting like an Escher painting before a gigantic teacup fell from above to catch him.
  14. Blue Bolt Vueriz was grateful that her schoolmates immediately jumped up her aid, Lawrence even apologizing for not thinking of her divergent biology, which she hadn't either to be fair. It took all of her (not so) substantial will power to not run for the house when it is mentioned that it is cooled, but instead follows Lawrence as he starts walking towards it, explaining his plan. To which she starts nodding excitedly as he describes making an ice pool. Then Parker asked Lawrence his questions before asking for a second and activating his power. The sudden relief from the heat elicited a groan of bliss from her. She was unable to resist throwing her arms around his waist, hugging him as tightly as her arms were able. A moment later, muffled against Parkers waist a quiet, "Thank you both." Could be heard.
  15. Shadowborne Aoife gave Luke a smirk as he bantered back, before getting pulled in to link arms with Ghule, smirk spreading to a giddy grin as the warmth of companionship filled her. "GIRL POWERRRRR!!!" She joined in on the battle cry with gusto before stifling a giggle. Aoife nodded along with Bernadette's explanation of how to use the rifle she had picked, grateful for her intervention. She had tried asking Muirne but she hadn't had a clue what to do either. "Thanks Bernie." She grinned again, savagely this time as Bernie explained the rules. This was gonna be fun!

  17. Blue Bolt Vueriz looked between the four of them, starting to wonder if she was being messed with. She had been warned that weird things happened near superpeople, but what. Especially as Michael started popping off and Consuelo started getting existential, and talking about the 'robot girl' that she was becoming less certain wasn't real dating the servants of a gift giving spirit. And then suddenly Golden Boy was all goody two shoes again and her head was set spinning. "Uh, yeah sure." Maybe her mask was leaking oxygen into her air supply and she was just hallucinating? That would explain it. (Not particularly) Surreptitiously she started poking at her mask.
  18. I'm afraid he makes his save. The Dreamer is gonna try drop a cage on him with Dreamscape. DC17 Reflex. Which he passes and then some. Dougal is gonna throw back a Paralyze at The Dreamer, DC25 Will Save for her, which 1d20+5 = 21 just not failing by 5 so she is Slowed. Will post ICs tomorrow, but feel free to go for an OOC action if ya want. Dougal 22 Blackstaff 20 4HP The Dreamer 12 0HP
  19. Blue Bolt Vueriz glared up at the monstrous Class G Star that seared at her skin as Consuelo asked her question. "We do relax in sunlight on Zirtimzar, but while Varagos is hotter than your Sun, it is much further away." She turned back to Lawrence as he asked after her wellbeing. She didn't like admitting weakness, but while Zirtimzara were tough and she was unlikely to be permanently harmed by the heat, she didn't want to spend this whole vacation dying in the heat. "I- It is too hot here. Zirtimzara are not adapted for this level of heat." She looked up at the pair from beneath the shadow of her Skyboard. She hesitated, not entirely comfortable with the idea of sharing just how uncomfortable the heat was for her. "Zirtimzar has an average temperature of -49 degrees Fahrenheit."
  20. Shooting Star Alice nodded in satisfaction at the Clown's surrender, descending to ground level as she took the armour from him, passing it to Predator without taking her eyes off the would-be thief. Scanning around she spotted a piece of metal that had escaped from the annihilated truck and wrapped it around the Clown's arms, carefully blunting any sharp edges. Stepping away she inspected the state of her costume, sighing in annoyance as she took in the frayed fabric and enormous gouges in her breastplate. "How are the other trucks doing, Predator? I can get there pretty quickly if it'd matter." She looked back at their captive audience, "Or would you rather we see what we can get out of Buggy here?"
  21. Steel Shade Aaron's smile weakened slightly as the two boys introduced themselves, and there was a slight tension to his shoulders as they speak, but his voice doesn't betray any reservations he may have about the trio. "I'm sure there's nothing I could come up with that four teenagers haven't already come up with when it comes to upsetting our parents." He rubs the scar that runs along the right side of his jaw absently as he looks at the three boys, "So I suppose I should ask how you lot met, and if I need to give any of you three the Shovel Talk?"
  22. Blue Bolt Vueriz had been tricked, lied to, led astray. Bamboozled even. She was sure her evil classmates were plotting her death. And maybe her Universal Translator was in on it too. She refused to admit that she had failed to put context clues together. 'Oh, this weather is miserable.' They said, she agreed. 'I know let's go to Fiji! It's much nicer there! The climate is balmy and there's not a cloudin the sky. ' They said, she thought that nice clear weather sounded great, with a nice temperate climate. 'Where is Fiji? It's south in the Peaceful Ocean.' That sounded great, maybe it was near that continent she had heard about 'Opposite to the Bear', where the temperature was a nice -34°C, rather than the rather warm single digits that Freedom had been getting. How wrong she was. She realized her mistake when she stepped through the portal and felt the heat despite her crop top and shorts. It struck like a sledgehammer to the skull, a few tears leaking from her eyes from the shock, where the Hydrogen Fluoride quickly evaporated. Quickly she directed her sky board over her head to shield her from the sun, also running over to the water, although instead of jumping in she hesitated, having seen Baz' reaction. Was this too a trap? A hellishly hot bath in which she would melt away to nothing? Swallowing her pride, she went to the host. "Is there a cold storage? With ice?" She asked Lawrence, dejectedly (not pathetically thank you) cowering beneath her flying machine. "Lots of ice?"
  23. Shadowborne Aoife slid out of the shadows, fashionably late, wearing a pair of charcoal grey leggings and a navy blue sleeveless turtleneck. She had persuaded Muirne that she should be the one to join the exercise, since that way she could better assist her teammates should they be in another combat situation like with the Conqueror Worm. Muirne may not particularly like the idea, but she wasn't about to jeopardise her friends lives by not allowing her other half to learn how to fight alongside them. She hefted an assault rifle from the rack, trying to ape the familiarity everyone else seemed to naturally have with the things. She was sure she'd figure it out as she did her best to join in the banter. "I'd say let the best man win, but I don't think any men will be winning today."
  24. Shadowborne Muirne stepped out of the Schattenwelt with a small ripple of shadows and a quiet thwump. She was slightly out of breath having run to the mansion after finishing a catch-up test for the year she'd mostly missed. She wasn't blind to the tension in the air as she arrived, an awkward grin playing across her face. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late."
  25. Blue Bolt Vueriz stared for a long second at Michael and Parker as they confirmed that most power generation was done by burning hydrocarbons, mind ticking through the implications of the Earth's technology. She was snapped out of it by Parker's statement of material assistance, which she now desperately hoped came to fruition, else she would need to build the tools to build the tools to make the materials that she'd need for her designs. "I would appreciate any assistance that you can offer." Internally she found herself wondering if Parker's parents perhaps had powers that let them generate materials or the conditions necessary for materials to form. Perhaps his own powers were an evolution upon that? She turned back to Consuelo as she spoke, also looking at the doors as Consuelo does. "My name is Blue Bolt-" She makes a frustrated noise and smacks her mask, which buzzes like a cicada is trying to escape it in response. "My name is Vueriz, I'm from planet Zirtimzar. My arrival was... unintentional. I was, er, testing an experimental piece of equipment and it launched me into this galaxy. Consuelo's question about blocking time travel causes her to pause, and while she thinks that the Universal Translator got what her new roommate said right, she also thinks that's the most blatant lie she's ever heard as her eyes track over to Lawrence. "I can't make any exact statements, but depending on the method of time travel used and the materials I can get I could probably set something up. Or at least set up a security system to target temporal intruders."
