  1. Okay, can Vueriz set the

Alternate Power: [19PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Magnetism, Subatomic Particles, Electron, Electricity)

Stun 8 (Nervebuzzer; Extras: Area [Burst]; Feats: Ricochet, Thrown 1, Triggered 2; Flaws: Unreliable [5 Uses]; Drawbacks: Full Power) [19PP]

To go off once she is clear, then move by action swoop through where Baz is, dropping the Nervebuzzer and spending a HP to take an extra standard action to grab Baz before continuing on as far towards Lawrence as she can get?

  2. The Dreamer

The Dreamer was pretty sure Rex misunderstood her reasoning for giving him the Bear, taking a long moment to consider if she should explain when the bear appeared in the room. She considers the theory Dwayne posits that it's a duplicate of her bear, a small frown flickering across her face as she considers it.

With a slow exhale, she Dreams of the bear lifting into the air, and floating towards them to hover in the middle of the group. She looks at the plush toy, noting the piece of paper it is holding. "Curiouser and Curiouser." She looks over to Madame Raven as she says it, before continuing. "Perhaps it would be prudent to perform a scan before we read the letter?"

  3. Blue Bolt

Vueriz had been planning a bit of truancy herself and quickly commanded her board to float around a corner when she spotted Michael. Instead she stood there awkwardly, dressed in her costume for the tail end of the argument as well as Mizuki and Michael's brief talk, when both turned to her.

"Uh, hi guys. I was just going to go for a walk. With my gadgets. Test the uh, cushioning in my new boots. And the way my belt sits. Yes." She cleared her throat, awkwardly. "Should we go after her?"

  4. Shadowborne

Aoife tracked the incoming staff strike with her eyes, even as she moved to dodge and interpose her shield she could tell it was going to strike true. The moment seemed to drag on for eternity as her mind raced, when one of the times Muirne had been training with Charlie sprang to mind. She focused on the well of shadows within her as the staff drew ever closer, drawing shadows over herself. Satisfaction ran through her as the staff passed harmlessly through insubstantial shadows. She made a note to thank Charlie when this was over.

She wasted no time acting on his orders, dozens of inky black tendrils shooting out to grasp metal before launching herself towards Ghule, sprinting across the space within moments to occupy the same space as the zombie woman, claws scything out towards one of the prone duplicates, but only meeting the concrete below. A low hiss of frustration escaped her as piercing green pinpoints of light glared out from the shadows at the duplicates.

  5. Blue Bolt

Vueriz blinked at the light, trying to clear her vision. She wasn't sure what she could do here that was supposedly so important that a supposedly intelligent temporally anomolous cave might want compared to her classmates. Still, if it was the only way to get them home, she was gonna do it. Probably. If it was something gross like 'shake Officer Wallis' hand and apologize for playing American Jesus too loud' she'd make a time machine herself. She'd been analyzing the defenses of Claremont and scanning the locations of Lawrence's portals. She could get them out of here.

    In a while.

Until then, sticking together was probably the best move. She surveyed three others. Dr. Macedon was cool, so was Bernadette, even if she was a square sometimes. But as far as working together Baz was the better choice, since she was resistant to his powers, and he was immune to a lot of hers. (Also she maybe wanted to spend more time with him). "I vote buddy system. I dibs Baz, since we're more compatible." She nodded, unaware of any possible phrasing issues her Translator may have introduced.

  6. Shooting Star

Alice frowned as Tun offered to make a costume, but it would come from her paycheck. That wasn't ideal given that the whole reason she was here was the cash prize. She considered it for a moment before shaking her head.

"Let's put a pin in the matter of costume for a minute. What drew the rules for a cage fight, and how are opponents decided?"

She started slowly letting her weight settle on the floor, listening carefully for any creaking. After constantly using her flight for so long it was like trying to willingly step off the edge of a cliff. Taking a tentative step she turned to face Mz Grue, "Hey, introductions got cut kinda short, I'm Shooting Star. Do you wanna try working together? If we help each other out I reckon we're more likely to get to that top table, right?"

  7. The Dreamer

The Dreamer had been about to welcome the new comer when she realized that he was out of breath. Was there an emergency? She quirked an eyebrow behind her mask before the man introduced himself. Quickly she followed him, her dreams scattering in a panic at the sudden movement. A trio of cat sized gargoyles flap their wings to assist her in keeping up with the running to the elevator.

She pays no mind to the scientist as she follows Rex to the entrance, although a small snake with a pair of rainbow feathered wings hissed at the man who mentioned 'real' family members. She's quiet as they all look into the room, it's certainly an unusual sight. One oft the gargoyles goes to enter but the other two hold it back. Instead she offers Rex a small plush bear. "Perhaps we should test what happens to objects which enter the room?"

  8. Blue Bolt

Vueriz watched the radioactive glow of Baz's breath with wide eyes, the lingering glow afterwards casting a beautiful glow over the cockroach boy. She smiles behind her mask before the insect drones descend. Thankfully her skin resists the slash one lands upon her, as she spins away from the others. Then she heard Lawrence call out, and a voice answer in her native tongue. Something about it made her skin crawl as it told Lawrence what was going to happen to them and their friends in another bubble.

She heard remembered Lawrence talking about Paradigm, she remembered the way Michael responded at the comparison to the 'Centurion'. She wanted more than anything to crawl into a hole and give up, but she couldn't leave. Not while this thing was demanding Lawrence surrender to it. With a harsh yell she slashed through the insects that were attacking her and Baz, spinning through the space like an oversize spinning top.

"Don't listen to it Lawrence! We can get out of this!"

  9. Okay, Toughness Toughness Toughness... 1d20+7 = 22 so she's okay. The Aurora Aurora's cloud would continue for this round, so if there's any still in the area they'd get hit again. Then she's gonna use her

Damage 4 (Particle Blades; Extras: Targeted Area [Trail]; Feats: Accurate 4, Improved Critical 2) [14PP]

With Power Attack +2/-2 (I just realized that her Power Attack is only on her Cannon, so that's my bad, sorry) taking a 10 to hit the seven on her and Baz, which he should be fine due to Radiation Immunity. So that's 20 to hit and DC21 Toughness from the bugs.

  10. The Dreamer

The white rabbit that had led the pair to safety checks his pocket watch as Blackstaff spots him. Oddly enough it looks to be ticking backwards, and quite quickly at that. Looking harried, their small escort ducks his way through a door only just large enough for his body, leaving the pair alone in the small, wooden floored room they have entered. The only decoration is a small round table, upon which sits a key and a small bottle with a note saying 'drink me'. Across the room is a larger door, one sized for humans. Atop it's frame is somehow perched a cat, who grins down at the pair.

The Dreamer looks concerned and confused as she takes in the details of the room, having briefly spotted the white rabbit before it fled, before clapping eyes upon the cat. She pales before speaking, "Christopher, something is very wrong here. I think it sounds be best if we depart, with haste."

  11. The GM

The pair made quick time to the location given, the warehouse sagged against itself and one of the doors hung on only one hinge, but other than that and a few broken windows it was reasonably intact.

The pair couldn't see anything noteworthy from the street, but Luke could smell ozone and the scent of an in use soldering iron, something he'd grown familiar with after years of sharing a dormitory floor with tech-geniuses.

OOC- No worries, just glad to see you back.

  12. Blue Bolt

Vueriz watched Carmen depart into the shadows beyond her torchlight, considering following suit, but deciding to stay and puzzle out how to make fire with the others. She listened with confusion as Baz stumbled over his words, not sure what exactly he's correcting himself over. She resolves to ask him later when the others are asleep, since he seems embarrassed.

She listerns half-heartedly to Bernadette being a square until she mentions a portal back through time, at which point she listens intently, and is disappointed that the teen could drop something cool like that and then nothing.

She was about to ask when Dr. Macedon starts calling  out before sighing and beginning to explain what's going on. She inwardly cringes at the name 'Magic Mesa' but given it's a known phenomenon that it sends people back in time Vueriz writes it off as a folk name rather than the doctor actually believing in magic.

Quickly she fishes her utility belt out of her bag and gives her a gear a quick check before following Macedon into the cave.

  13. The Dreamer

The Dreamer looked quite interested at the arrival of the new real member of their team, listening to his introduction with keen interest as she processed what everyone else had said. It was nice to have more compatriots in this strange world of powers. As the others share their own origins she is happy to tell them her own, certain they would be more respectful than the Ultio Suit wearers who had mocked her. "I am from a different dimension now known to this one as Earth-S-Omega-One. Most people's dreams were ephemeral with no substance, but some of us, known as Hyperlucid or True Dreamers had abilities like mine. It predominantly ran in families like my own. My father used a device we captured from a dimension that had invaded us to send me to safety. I spent a year between dimensions before arriving here."

Perhaps at some point she could introduce them to Christopher? Based on their statements they would certainly be interested in meeting the magical PI. Unbidden, a copy of him, trench coat and all appeared at the door while Devon's watch tries to scan them all. Interested she looked to Devon, while fighting down a blush and hoping the dream Blackstaff fades on his own, she asks, "Did your device ascertain anything? I must confess I would be quite interested if your device could determine anything regarding replicating my powers."

  14. Shadowborne

Aoife clenched her teeth as the fire seared at her mind, acrobatically leaping to the side before launching her arm out to stab her spear into the villain, to no effect. She bared her teeth down at the villain, as the distant stranger and Charlie talked. Anger bubbled through her as she looked at the woman who attacked her and Luke. What could she do to hurt this person better than her current attempt...

  15. Okay, Aoife is going to do a Skill Mastery Acrobatic Bluff Feint taking the -5 to make it a Move Action, for DC21 and switch Shadow Channelling to

Alternate Power: [10PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Draining, Consumption)

Thirsting Strike 10 Adds (Extras: Vampiric 10) to Shadowed Weapons [10PP]

    Before attacking Mindfire, doing a +2/-2 Power Attack, 1d20+10-2 = 9

Uhhh, I'm going to reroll that...

    1d20+10-2 +10 = 20

    Truly phenomenal rolling today...

  16. Blue Bolt

Vueriz' ability to do a show off her strength was pretty limited unless by 'strength' Aquaria meant 'a two hour lecture on the unified theory of physics' she was pretty sure she had a solid nothing to show off, unless they'd be impressed by her pointy teeth.

Well, maybe they would be impressed, given they knew that she was toxic, maybe if she did a threat display? She knew some of the tricks animals used to makes themselves seem more threatening and to signal that they were dangerous. Hopefully...

She pulled her mask off, baring her teeth at the Deep Ones before slamming her tail into the deck before yelling vaguely threatening syllables in her native tongue (Lots of z and v sounds). She really hoped her purple blush just looked like a threat display rather than the embarrassment it was. She waggled her ears at them for good measure before affixing her mask again to breathe.

  17. Blue Bolt

Vueriz was on one hand relieved to hear that the planet cracker wasn't currently hanging over the city, on the other, that meant they couldn't use it to get out. She didn't have time to come up with an alternative solution with Baz and Consuelo taking off to combat the Communion. She had to help them. Our else...

Her brain supplied the image of Baz's blood glowing on the concrete.

She pushed that aside as she looked up at her classmate glowing like a star, high wavelength light lashing across the invaders. It was truly a thing of beauty, and would absolutely draw more blades to meet his flesh.

She was riding her Skyboard to meet his landing spot while throwing her Aurora Roarer ahead, set to respond to enemy motion, while yelling up to the alien menace above. "Oh sure, I'll commune alright! I'll commune a packet of high energy particles right into your ugly face! I'm glad you want to be the only Intelligence, or else whoever else was around would have to talk with your stupid expletive!"

When the drones approached, the Aurora Roarer let out a loud zBEEP before spraying alpha particles into the air, shredding molecules, generating heat and charge as the Aurora for which it was named flashed into life of Freedom City's streets, bright lashing lights writhing through the air to blind the enemy.

  18. Can Vueriz fly to Baz, change her Gun & Grenades Array to

Alternate Power: [19PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Magnetism, Radiation, Atomic Particles, Light, Aurora)

Dazzle 8 (Aurora Roarer; Visual Dazzle; Extras: Area [Cloud]; Feats: Ricochet, Thrown 1, Triggered 2; Flaws: Unreliable [5 Uses]; Drawbacks: Full Power) [19PP]

And set it to trigger if/when the Communion not effected by Baz gets within it's area, while making a lot of noise to draw their attention?

  19. Blue Bolt

Vueriz grinned giddily at the reactions, nodding when asked if Neko was the source of her disguise, before jumping into the offered seat, trying to avoid poking people with her invisible tail too much.

"Neko put an illusion on me so that I could hang out without spoiling identities."

Then the next song started, and she sat transfixed as Multiplicity played. Without thinking about it her tail started tapping along as Bernadette sang her hearts out. She wasn't above admitting that she was misty eyed as she jumped up to stand on her seat (much to it's disapproval) for the ovation the band had earned.

So distracted was she that she failed to notice Neko's approach, nearly jumping from her boots before realizing it was just the catgirl. She gave her own grin back, although unlike the Japanese girl she did show her teeth. "It's great! Thanks Neko!"

  20. Shooting Star

Alice had expected the chance to get her costume, let her parents know that she was going to be out of town for a bit, turn up looking like a hero.

Instead now she was standing in the middle of all this glitz and glamour in beaten up steel toe boots, dusty jeans and a shirt that had fit perfectly when she was fifteen. Safe to say, she was out of place. Still, at least she wasn't in a bunny suit.

She listened to Tun's explanation of the games, which she had to admit didn't fill her with joy. Of the things listed the only thing she knew how to play was roulette. Of the Russian kind. Cage fights were probably more her speed, as much as she hated to admit it. But the 'Tell a good story' part was what really caught her attention. This was for entertainment, so perhaps if she was telling a good enough story, Tun might tilt the scales in her favor.

She looked over at her fellow teleportee, he looked a lot more in his element, fancy suit, maybe early thirties. She took his offered hand, shaking it carefully as he introduced himself, although it was unnecessary, at least on the hero name side. She hesitated on introducing herself. Not many people knew her identity, although that number was expanding. She guessed it was too late by now, given they were both here in civvies.

"Alice Armstrong. Shooting Star when I'm wearing my costume. I've never gambled before unless you count charity raffles at school. Unless you've got some magic hint on how to suddenly become a good gambler I think my best bet is the cage fights..."
