  1. GM The Takazumi-gumi group continued down the alley, eventually coming to a stop in front of a small building that seemed to house a little shop. The kind that sold various knick knacks, souvenirs, whatever could be pawned off on stupid tourists. While Ryu and Tomiko continued inside with most of the men, two remained outside, standing at either side of the door.
  2. Doktor'd! Little Mermaid II Please update the description on the sheet to this: Mette is a woman of obvious Scandinavian descent. She has dark brown hair, usually cut into a pixie cut, and dark green eyes. She is toned and in shape from countless hours spent swimming, both with and without the use of her powers. She is good-looking, but not supernaturally so, though she has plenty of charm to make up for that. Mette's style tend to be a clash of frilly dresses in light colors and leather or denim jackets, often with heavy boots. When Mette transforms into her costume, her hair grows to reach her waist, flowing freely. The parts of her costume that covers her upper body are mainly in green scales, with a red pointed mark just below her neck, and red bands aroudn her wrists. She wears a green mask in the same scale material on her head, leaving the top of her head, her mouth and her chin free. The costume's pants are white, with a red line seperating the the green upper body and white lower body. The soles of her feet are red, with three thick red lines on the outside of her lower legs. When Mette enters water, her legs fuse into a white mermaid's tail And update the images to these: --- Then, time to spend some PP! 5. ROCKET His World - Zebrahead Fast! Jay is a speedster, not the fastest man alive or anything like that, but he's still pretty damn fast, and this song is just fast. Despite being one of the more calm speedsters around, Rocket is still speeding everywhere, living in his own world of speed that's in many ways very different from the normal world that everyone else lives in. When you can do anything so much faster, you're going to end up just a little bit impatient with everyone else. Jet Fuel Heart - Miracle of Sound Happy, peppy, a song about moving forward and searching for adventure and excitement. Full speed ahead, nothing will slow Jay down. On a bit of a darker side, the song references not dwelling on failures and not giving up on a dream, which I also use as a reference to Jay moving on from his past without looking back, perhaps a bit too eagerly. Yellow Line - REDLINE OST Getting pumped, starting out relatively slow and setting a nice pace, then starting to get faster as the guitars keep in, this is, to me, an essential fighting speedster theme. The song starts out slower with just keeping a pace. As the song progresses and evolves, so too does Rocket's speeds, becoming faster and more serious, racing towards the finish line. Roundtable Rival - Lindsey Sterling Super speedster battle! Coming up against another speedster is something entirely different than fighting someone else! It is intense, it is fast, it is a blur of motion and speed, dancing around each other to try and get that final hit. I Am The Doctor - Murray Gold The Atom Academy offers it's members access to adventure and wonder beyond the wildest imagination, facing both miracles and monsters along the way. This is Rocket's theme for the Academy and the friends that he is making there, a some times light and some times darker theme, reflecting all the adventures they will have! Leaving Earth - Mass Effect 3 OST Standing on the precipice, staring into the unknown. At once omnious and wonderful, Jay is drawn to explore, to discover, to journey into the unknown, to find the farthest shore and everything that lies beyond. This is Rocket's theme for serious exploration, where he is given pause as he stands at the threshold, simply staring in awe at the wonders before him. Welcome to the Show - Britt Nicole Uncle Johnny Rocket's theme. Johnny might have become a more serious hero since his debut, but he still knows how to have fun, and he has done his best to help Jay learn the same. If you're a super hero and everything is serious, you'll be bogged down eventually and everything will be much worse than it could otherwise be. Jay truly treasures all these memories of fun and good times with his uncle. Driving With The Top Down - Ramon Djawadi A more dramatic battle theme. The chips are down, Rocket is racing to save everything. Further, faster and better than ever before, racing like a rocket to the finish line. Jet Set Run - My Hero Academia OST Rocket's heroic theme! Just, listen to it? That is the music of someone coming to save you, someone that rushing to do the right thing and keep you safe, moving full speed ahead. Here We Go Again - Miracle of Sound Jay isn't meant for just sitting still and being bored. He has to explore, he has to make new discoveries, whether it is in the lab or abroad. He is out to explore the wonders of everything, running face first towards adventure and wonder.
  6. Miss! @RedSpine give me an IC After that @Nerdzul is up! And I forgot to do the DC19 TOU save's on Nerdzul's last turn, so doing them now: Trawler: Handled by Impervious TOU. 7. Give me a grapple check (no need to roll to hit) and an IC.
  8. GHOST "Yeah, that sounds about right." Ghost looked towards the cops that were taking the bikers away. He'd figured it was something along those lines. Most cops in Freedom was good enough, but yeah, had to happen. "Bad guys go free way too often, sure, but not playing isn't really an option, is it? Look around," he gestured to the area around them with both hands, "imagine how much worse it would've been if we hadn't been here. At least they're kept busy until they're getting out. So... down for the moment."
  9. Oh, great. It was cold. Just great. Of course, if Frost pretty much ate all the heat in there, it made sense. Still, great. Ghost looked down at himself, in his costume, while Frost was dressed in a white suit. At least they had the same taste in color? "Huh. Sure, thanks." Casper reached out for the cup and... it was frozen solid. So much for it being still swarm, huh? He eyed the contents of the cup for a moment, then slowly placed it down on the table again when Frost turned to gesture to the paintings. "It looks nice, I guess. Rock-eating devilmen cult sounds a bit less nice." He moved closer, looking at it. "Not really much of an art guy, sorry, but it's kind of interesting that the white buildings in the back seems lighter than the rest. Y'know, looks like it's more than just whatever they're built with. Sunlight, maybe?"
  10. "Yeeeah, starting to get late." Ghost planted his feet on the ground and stretched his arms above his head. "I should probably get ready for the night shift anyway." "Thanks for the talk, anyway. It's nice with some company every now and again. I'll think about the things we talked about. Maybe I'll give Frost a call too."
  11. Nevermore II Charlie looked at Midas and shrugged. "Dunno. Looks like his armor's already damaged and he kinda crashed. Maybe he just lost control or something? He didn't seem too bothered by the whole thing until you hit him, anyway." It was weird, now that he thought about it. Charlie hadn't met Midas before, but he had heard of him. Not a big threat or anything, he just seemed obsessed with gold, so... why'd he come here, anyway? He was lost in thought, almost missing El's question. "Huh? Oh, yeah, sure." He looked around at everyone staring at them. "Let's get to my bike and get out of here."
  12. GHOST Huh. With the X-Ray active, Ghost could see that the one in the armor was a frog. That was... unsettling. But fair enough, nothing that needed to be brought up yet, right? Still... weird. "I'm just the friendly neighborhood Ghost," he replied to froggy with a grin under his mask. "But I can promise that I'm not Canadian." He wasn't picking anything else up, so... no secret exits or anything like that. Maybe magic then, like Kermit was talking about? "So, magic? Smelling anything funky then?"
  13. Little Mermaid II Riley's really wasn't Mette's usual scene. She frowned as she looked around the place as Foreshadow led her and Muirne to the contact. She didn't mind seedier places, she really wasn't as prim and proper as most would expect, but still... this was as obvious a bad guy bar as you'd find. She had added a dark grey jacket over her uniform, just to make the green scales stand out a little bit less in a place like this, but she was still very obviously in a costume, green, white and red, with a cowl and everything and her long hair hanging freely. "Children?" Mette raised her voice slightly, as she glared at Gilles. "I'm the freaking Little Mermaid. I fight sea monsters for fun."
  14. REBELLION MarsTech. Shiny on the outside. Rotting underneath everything else. Rebellion shouldn't care about someone willing to work at MarsTech going missing, but the circumstances were strange. Multiple bounties, from rival companies. Not the usual setup for a disappearance. He needed to know more. Moving through the campus, Rebellion had shifted his body to make himself all but invisible. He needed a way in. Someone he could become, for a short while.
  15. Terror Array set to Terror Morph, Concealment is active. Looking for someone arriving to work that Rebellion can impersonate and get access cards and such from, preferably somewhere he can get to them without being seen. Search roll, if needed: 32
  16. Nevermore II "You can do that?" Interesting. Very interesting. "Yeah. Make us all the way invisible, then. How fine's your control of that? Can you make just some of us visible before the others? I'm kinda counting on the shock of a big scary dragon showing up to give us a small advantage here." He grinned, pointing at Luke with his thumb while he spoke.
  17. Ghost got his X-Ray goggles on. Anything he can see?
  18. Doktor'd... except you're 3 ranks/1 PP over on Skills, so you've got to trim something! Second Opinion'd -- removed 3 ranks of Knowledge [Technology]. GHOST Time to get Ghost some skills, feats and a new power with his 11PP! Skills Spending 8PP to buy 40 ranks of Skills: Bluff +5 to 12 (+15) Disable Device +5 to 5 (+10) Gather Information +10 to 12 (+15) Investigate +5 to 5 (+10) Knowledge [Current Events] +5 to 5 (+10) Knowledge [Streetwise] +5 to 5 (+10) Knowledge [Technology] +2 to 2 (+7) Feats Please add Contacts and Well-Informed Powers I'm spending the last PP to add another AP to the Ghost With the Most Array. Please add this power: AP: Insubstantial 4 (Incorporeal; Affected by Cold; Extras: Affects Corporeal, Affects Others, Linked [Immunity] (+0); Flaws: Action 2 [Standard]; Feats: Selective, Subtle 2) [23P] + Immunity 1 (Suffocation while incorporeal; Extras: Affects Others, Linked [Insubstantial] (+0)) [2PP] {25/31PP} Thanks!
  19. Doktor'd!... though you're one skill point off -- you've got 147 ranks, not 148! Second opinion'd -- added +1 rank to Investigate. Archer II Time to get Archer an edit! 17PP to spend. Skills Increasing the following skills Acrobatics +5 to +15 (+20) Knowledge [Streetwise] +7 to 14 (+15) Search +5 to 14 (+15) Sense Motive +6 to 13 (+15) And adding these Skills Drive 5 (+10) Gather Information 8 (+10) Intimidate 13 (+15) Medicine 2 (+5) Investigate 5 (+6) Pilot 5 (+10) That should be a total of 60 skill ranks, costing 15PP. Feats Spending the last 2PP on buying two ranks of Equipment, for total Equipment 3. Please add this to his Equipment, worth the 10EP Archer just gained: Sky-Bike (Vehicle; Flying Bike) [10EP] Thanks!
  20. Looking purely at the crunch: For Abilities, Combat, Saving Throws and Powers, you should put the calculations, so, the individual costs and what they add up to. Combat You've put in a = instead of ) at the end of Initiative Your Grapple is +2 (-1 from low Strength) Its just Knockback, not Knockback Resistance (though its the same thing of course) Saving Throws It should just be "+2" for the points bought with PP, not "+2PP" Skills Its Knowledge [Arcane Lore], not Knowledge [Arcana] Feats Ritualist isn't ranked, so there's no need to put a rank on it See the Knowledge thing above for the skill mastery. Personally, I'd mark the Enhanced Feats subheader as just in Italics, since its not its own header, but no issue here. Powers You should list the powers alphabetically. Gadgets: You should put exactly what kind of Variable power it is, something along these lines: Gadgets 1 (5PP Variable Power, Any Power, Multiple Powers At Once; Flaws: Easy-to-lose) [6PP] Mind Dancer array: Mind Switch: I'm really not sure if this power will be allowed or not. I know I considered something with Possession at one point that was shut down, so you should probably get a ref to look at this one. Mind Scramble: With your descriptor and scrambling the mind, you might want Paralyze instead, or make pick the Alternate Save extra for Will. Mind Reading slot: I'm not sure if the Action Extra will work for Mind Reading. Generally, powers with an offensive use are not allowed to have their action changed, but might be allowed. Likewise, I don't think the Limited option are going to fly with the Transform power. Plus, when you got the two powers linked like that it'll mean you will always change someone's memories when you read their minds, can't do one without the other. Drain Will: Insidious is a feat here, per house rules. Maybe consider the Alternate Save extra to make it target Will instead of Fort? Move Object: Ask a Ref about the Limited flaw. Area Damage: If you have a Variable Descriptor feat you need to risk the rank of the feat and the descriptor(s) you can access. You should write the device as: Device 2 (10PP Container; Flaws: Hard-To-Lose) [8PP] Enhanced Feat 1 (Dodge Focus 1) [1PP] Enhanced Fortitude Save 3 [3PP] Protection 6 [6PP]
  21. GHOST "I wasn't even here when the kid was taken! C'mon, give me a break, I just wanna help!" Ghost was arguing with one of the uniformed officers that had started questioning him on the entire thing. "Look, I walk through walls. Not... y'know... out of supply closets!" He did not sound amused. At all. When the detective pulled them aside, he looked around at the lack of chairs, then decided to sit cross legged on the air itself. "A kid was taken, right? I'm more surprised we're the only ones here." He tapped his goggles. "Any chance to see the place where the kid was taken or that supply closet? I'm wondering where they went."
  22. Little Mermaid II Under the Sea - Jonathan Young It would just be plain wrong not to have something referencing Disney's Little Mermaid movie, wouldn't it? Mette is a bit more rock and roll than the original, so let's go with a Jonathan Young cover! This works pretty well for a main theme, given her generally happy and upbeat attitude to being a hero, on land or under the sea! Unstoppable - The Score Back against the wall, getting ready for the big fight, Mette gives it her all and is unstoppable. She's not satisfied with anything but giving it her all, saving everyone she can. It is a heroic theme that showcases Mette's unstoppable spirit and drive to help. Jutlandia - Kim Larsen I had to get a song in Danish for Mette, and this one was a perfect fit. This'll of course be gibberish to most here, so to summarize: The song is about MS Jutlandia, a Danish hospital ship that served during the Korean War. The song references how Jutlandia would arrive to save the wounded, sailing through the war with young nurses tending to the wounded and dying. Generally a rather heroic tune, which fits well with Mette arriving to help and save everyone she can. Edge of the World - Miracle of Sound ft. Lisa Foiles Mette goes where she is needed, swimming through the depths and going faster and further. No matter what it will cost her, she will go where she is needed, standing at the edge of the world to protect others. She doesn't back down, even against overwhelming odds, fighting back with all that she got, no matter who tries to stop her. Help Is On the Way - Rise Against Putting aside some of the darker meanings of the song and instead taking the initial hopeful message to heart, Mette will rush to save others, she will come to help anyone that needs her. She will not let anything stop her. Parlay - Hans Zimmer A serious situation! Something unforeseen! A powerful, unexpected enemy appears! As Mette eyes the enemy and the showdown begins, Parlay plays! Crimson Tide/Deep Blue Sea – Nightwish Adventure at the high seas! The Little Mermaid crashes through the waves fighting against pirates, terrors of the deep, fairy tales come to life and so much more! She crashes through the waves, showcasing the part of her that enjoys her life as a hero not just to save others and keep them safe, but also for the adventure of it all. I was the Sun (Before it was cool) - Starbound OST The fun and more lighthearted side of Mette's personality. She's not just all heroics and being serious about saving people. She gotta have some fun too, which is when this theme will play. Legends Never Die - Against the Current Mette has had at least two predecessors that used the powers of the Little Mermaid, Little Mermaid I and a so far unnamed heroine that was active near the start of the second World War. She carries on a proud legacy, only just beginning to understand what it all means, and just what gives her the power to be a hero in the first place. The legend of the Little Mermaid can never die. Rivers in the Desert – Persona 5 OST The epic battle theme! The final, decisive battle, as the Little Mermaid stands before the final super villain, fighting to save everything, she does the impossible, bringing rivers to the desert! It's just a great song to get pumped, to get ready for the big fight, going all out and telling the bad guy that you'll do the impossible and win.
  23. GM "Muirne!" Luke and Muirne recognized the voice instantly. Of course they did. It was Sebastian Shields, Casanova. He was dressed in his usual nice clothes, still sporting a bandage over his nose that Nevermore had broken during the fight. Sebastian smiled as he saw Muirne... and Luke. "And Luke! Look, I am so sorry about everything! I don't know what I was thinking!" He moved in closer, putting a hand on Luke's shoulder and smiling fondly at him. "You and your friends really showed me how wrong we were!" Sebastian turned back to Muirne and placed his hands in his pockets. "I am terribly sorry, but I'll have to borrow Muirne for a few hours! I got the feedback on the assignment, and we'll have to redo parts of it!"
