  1. Alright, you get 6 ninjas on the ground with that Rolling vs. DC25 TOU: All well below, they go down That means that there's no more ninjas on the ground at the moment, and @Thevshi is up with the dupe! 28 - Stormcrow - 7HP - Unharmed 27 - Elite Ninja - Unharmed 24 - Paper - 4HP - Unharmed 23 - Multi-Girl Dupe - Unharmed 17 - Ninjas - Minions - 8x Defeated, none visible on the ground, at least 4 in the rafters (under effects of Obscure) 17 - Multi-Girl - 2HP - Unharmed 9 - Neko - 2HP - Unharmed
  2. GM The gamma glowing articles spread through the air. A single soldier manages to get out of the way, while others are start screaming, their bodies starting to dissolve once the radioactive particles make contact with their bodies, like they cannot handle the stress, their bodies rapidly aging. If Doctor Deviation is affected by the horrible demise of his soldiers, then he doesn't let it show. More soldiers come out from the cells, rushing towards Timeout and Gamma Buzz. While four get up to Timeout and start hitting him, two more jump towards Gamma Buzz on the ceiling, slamming their hands into it and then tries to strike him. Spaceman has a distinct feeling that the doctor is smiling under his helmet, before blasting a shockwave at him, that Spaceman only barely manages to hold back against. The no-longer-young woman that brought them there shrinks away from the fight. She is looking at her hands. They are starting to seem so old.
  3. You can get them all with that: Reflex saves: 1x Unharmed save: 8 4x Slowed: 17, 14, 19, 10 3x Paralyzed Save: Autofail Fort saves 1 that made the save: 11 7 that failed the save: 24, 24, 10, 9, 7, 9, 23 So that's the unharmed taken down, along with 2 slowed and 2 paralyzed, which means there's 3 experimental soldiers yet. Doctor Deviation spends a move actions on getting 4 additional experiment soldiers out there, then a standard action to attack Spaceman: 18, that's a hit, for a DC25 TOU save. Spaceman TOU save: 14 I'll spend a HP to reroll, cus I refuse to let a 1 stand: 28 Next round: 2 slowed and 2 unharmed experimental soldiers attack Timeout. First two rolls will receive a -1 to the actual roll for being slowed: 22, 18, 8, 23 That's 2 hits, so give me 2 TOU saves vs. DC21 @Thevshi Then, 2 unharmed soldiers leap towards the roof next to Gamma Buzz, holding into it by slamming a fist into it, and attacks Gamma Buzz: 10, 19 That's 1 hit, so give me a DC21 TOU @Supercape @Thevshi, you're up next, after your turn the 2 slowed and 1 paralyzed soldiers get to roll to recover. 28 - Experimental Soldiers x7 - 4 unharmed, 2 slowed, 1 paralyzed 21 - Timeout - 1HP - Unharmed 20 - Spaceman - 2HP - Unharmed 19 - Gamma Buzz - 1HP - Unharmed 9 - Doctor Deviation - Unharmed
  4. Spaceman Parker has to remind himself that this is all to help out Tracy's team, and to maybe help out Iris and Daniel. He doesn't like to flaunt his family's wealth or status. They are doing good with their resources, but it still feels wrong, when he knows that many of his friends have had to deal with poverty or worse during their life, something he has never tried. Stepping out of the car that had come to collect them (it is a nice car, though not overtly so. A generic model, nothing too fancy), he is wearing a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt, with his bomber jacket held in one hand. It's never cold inside and the weather's nice enough, anyway. "So... yeah. This is it, I guess. Powers Holdings' big Freedom City office building." He is feeling awkward. It's the first time he has brought any of his friends here.
  5. OOC for this. @Poncho @Dracostern
  6. GM 3:30 PM, Friday April 12th, 2024 City Center, Freedom City Powers Holdings Office Building It started innocently enough. Parker had been to a family dinner, his family had asked him about his friends and students, and he had mentioned a few of them. When he mentioned Iris and Daniel and their telepathic powers, Tracy, his older sister, had perked up and asked more about them, how powerful they were and so on. Apparently, one of the R&D teams under her is working on a device that should, hopefully, be able to expand the scope of telepathic powers, potentially allowing a telepath to aid rescue efforts in a much wider area in terms of catastrophes. So... Parker had asked Iris and Daniel to come with him, explaining things as well as he could, and when Michael had overheard, Parker invited him along as well. The weather is nice for mid-April, as the group exits the car that had been sent to get them once classes were over for the day, once it has stopped in front of the Powers Holdings office building in Midtown. The building doesn't particularly stand out. Sure, it is tall, but so are most of the buildings in midtown, and the area is dominated by Freedom Hall, City Hall and the DuTemps Building, so, it doesn't particularly stand out. Still, there is a big POWERS HOLDINGS INC. name plate over the revolving glass doors, and on the window next to them, the large P with an explosion inside the upper part of the letter that makes up the Powers Holdings logo, which makes it easy to identify the building, at least.
  7. The STORMCROW And now Charlie feels awkward, of course. So then what? Let things progress as this, into a misunderstanding that can cause a rift, or take steps to fix things? Taking a step forward, he places a hand on Michael's shoulder. "Take it easy, Michael. You looked like you were having a good time, and I don't wanna ruin that. Remember what I said last time about connections being important? No need to break up the fun just cus me and Callie show up, right?" Charlie is smiling warmly. This kid is way more insecure than he wants to let on, isn't he?
  8. GHOST This is the right thing to do... isn't it? Casper really likes Grim a lot. He really wants to see where things can go, and well... They've known each other for a few years, and they're together now, so he really should introduce Carrie to Grim, but... it still feels weird, in a way. He 's never done anything like that before, since he and Carrie's mom divorced. He has no idea how she'll react, but, time to see. Casper opens the door to Silberman's and holds it for his almost 10 years old daughter. He is dressed in a pair of well worn blue jeans, a white t-shirt and an open light brown jacket, but otherwise looks like his usual tired self. He is smiling as Carrie steps in and looks around. She is about 130 cm tall, with her long brown hair (in the exact same shade of brown as her dad's) tied into a neat braid on her back. She is wearing a black t-shirt with the logo from the old Freedom Friends cartoon, a light blue skirt and blue tights, with a denim jacket over the shirt, and a dark red backpack over her shoulders. She pushes her square glasses up her nose, once she notices they're down. "Lynn's gotta be around here somewhere. She's great, I think you'll like her a lot, Peanut," he says, a hand on his daughter's shoulder. "Does she work here?" Carrie is looking around by now, eyes wide. "This place is awesome."
  9. GM 1 PM, Saturday April 6th, 2024 West End, Freedom City Silberman's Books It is a lovely day. The sun is shining over Freedom City, the birds are flying about and singing. A nice Spring day, the kind of day where it seems like nothing can go wrong and everything will be fine. Silberman's Books is an institution by this point, slowly inching closer to having been part of the city for 80 years. The current owner is of course one Lynn Epstein, otherwise known as Grimalkin. Her relationship with Casper Church, the friendly neighborhood Ghost, has progressed quite a bit lately, and it is time for Lynn to meet Casper's daughter, Carrie. Everything will of course go perfectly well and there will be no issues or troubles ahead. Right?
  10. ARCHER II Connor frowns again. This all stinks to high heaven. And this pusher is pissing him off. "So you drain his blood and drag him along? Gotta be a limit to that. What do you do when your blood bank runs out?" He has to remind himself that he needs information before anything else.
  11. GM The walls in the cave system glows for a short moment, and then, they fall dark again. Any further attempts to affect them doesn't produce any effects. "Sorry Baz," Dr. Macedon says, as she leads them on through the tunnels, "the Mesa's got a mind of its own, I guess. I don't think it likes you doing that." Otherwise, the trip through the caves seem rather uneventful, at least until the group all begins to feel the same pull to move forward that Carmen had. "Do you feel that?" Dr. Macedon asks. "That pull's because the Mesa wants us to go somewhere. My grandfather had a theory that the Mesa draws people in that needs to be sent to somewhere or somewhen to do something important. The closer we get to the end of the tunnel, the closer the pull." Time passses. They see light. Soon the rest of the group finds themselves in the same park that Carmen had entered, but she is nowhere to be seen. --- Carmen has explored by now. Much of the layout of the park seems to be familiar to Freedom Park, but there are changes. For one, she has encountered a number of statues of various metals scattered throughout the park, slightly larger than life, standing on piedestals. It appears to be super heroes, but none that she recognize... at least not until she finds herself standing in front of a somewhat familiar man, with the name Golden Star written on a plaque on the piedestal. The statue shows a man much older than her boyfriend, however, and wearing a different costume.
  12. GM The Scarecrow stares at Haven, as he tries to input commands, to confuse it or change its parameters, but he right about simple programs being harder to change. "Input parameters not recognized," it simply says, with the same monotone voice. "Preparing deletion protocol." As Haven looks around, weapons seem scarce, but perhaps there is something hidden somewhere, though the Lion does not seem to be willing to help, hiding behind the bar. There are large windows, a possible escape. So the question is, fight or flight?
  13. Spaceman Lawrence isn't wrong about the strategy being particularly effective with Parker. He looks between the would-be super soldiers, Doctor Deviation and his friends and, once Lawrence freezes them, he knows what to do. He sets off. One moment he is on the ground, the next he is by Doctor Deviation, throwing a punch that, unfortunately, doesn't even come close to hitting the doctor. "Please stop this! We don't have to do this! We'll help figure out how to make them last, just stop this!" He has to try, even if he isn't sure that Doctor Deviation wants to listen.
  14. They're all within range for that, actually Rolling for Soldiers: 19, 15, 10, 16, 22, 17, 14, 16 - 1 unaffected, 4 slowed, 3 paralyzed Deviation: 27 Spaceman flies up into melee and punches Doctor Deviation: 10 And that's a miss. @Supercape you're up! 28 - Experimental Soldiers x8 - 1 Unharmed, 4 slowed, 3 paralyzed 21 - Timeout - 1HP - Unharmed 20 - Spaceman - 3HP - Unharmed 19 - Gamma Buzz - 1HP - Unharmed 9 - Doctor Deviation - Unharmed
  15. One issue @Spacefurry: Selective is an Extra, not a Feat, if the power requires an attack roll and/or a saving throw, which is something you'll need to update for your sheet, too. You can easily get around it by adding the Action flaw to make it a Full Action to use.
  16. The STORMCROW "Wouldn't that fall under self sacrifice for the greater good or something like that?" Charlie asks from the doorway, where he is standing with his arms crossed, wearing a pair of dark grey sweat pants and a sleeveless black shirt. How long has he been there, how much has he heard? Who knows. "Hey Vik." He moves closer to Bernie and tasks her hand, squeezing it tightly. "You're you, right? I really don't know the tenets, or rules or... well, whatever its all called, but you were hurt, right? It was something done to you, while you were trying to keep other people safe. If anything, shouldn't that make you a martyr?"
  17. ARCHER II Both go down and... the kid with the sword starts running away. Now what? More bad guys or something like that? Connor stares after him for a moment, then decides to take off running into the next room, where all the Black Snakes has left, and outside... is that a woman in some kind of armor beating up a guy dressed like a conquistador? Great. With no idea about who here is doing what, Connor throws himself out the window, shooting a line arrow out to swing down onto the ground, where he rolls and lands, an arrow already nocked and aimed at the woman and the man. "Alright... who wanna tell me who the bad guy here is before I blow you both to kingdom come?"
  18. Gonna get out through the window and get to Chimera and Fernando, yell a few threats and end my turn.
  19. The STORMCROW "The Atoms, huh?" Charlie asks, between stealing glances at his girlfriend on stage. "Didn't take you for the super scientific type. I'm almost hurt," he obviously isn't, but he at least puts on a show of briefly pouting, "but, y'know, if you wanna come hang out with some super heroes instead of a bunch of scientist types, the door's open. Got your dad and, err, the other you to sponsor everything." Before he can ask more about what kind of work Callie is doing with the Atoms, Michael catches up with them, with another Claremont student in tow. "Hey man, don't worry, it's fine. Head on back to your table." He turns slightly towards Iris and nods. "I'm Charlie. Welcome to the crazy world of Claremont."
  20. Forever Boy The Forever Boy seems to consider what Tun is trying to sell, a story that would see him cast as the lover of another man that appear to be his senior by many years. He looks Diamondlight up and down, while he accepts the drink, before coming to his decision. "No, I don't think so." He pauses briefly and looks to Diamondlight. "No offense meant, of course, I am sure that you are a perfectly lovely man, but that story is much too obvious. Sure, you can give the audience what they want, but where's the fun in that? Where's the drama, where the deconstruction and subversion, hmm?" He does not hesitate to drink, before he turns back to Tun. "Now, let us see those games, yes?"
  21. TOU: 19 I'll take the bruise.
  22. I'll do it. Teamwork makes the dream work.
  23. Alright, spending a HP to use Ultimate Save for my Toughness roll, getting it to 31.
