  1. Player Name: Twisted Mortal Character Name: Blood Rose Power Level: 10 (150/150) Trade-offs: -5 Attack / +5 Damage, -5 Defense / +5 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 0 In Brief: A fresh off the boat exchange student looking to learn about America. Residence: Claremont Academy Base of Operations: Claremont Academy Catchphrase: None Alternate Identity: Masayori Hiro Identity: Secret, but is known to Claremont students and faculty Birthplace: Osaka, Japan Occupation: High School Student Affiliations: Claremont Academy Family: Hosato (father), Hikaru (mother), Sakura (younger sister), Miyaki (older sister) Description: Hiro is thin and short. No matter how much he works out he retains his bodily shape as a small twig. This is most likely due to his blood powers. His eyes are blood red all the way around. When not in school uniform, he tried to dress stylishly. Age: mid-teens (born 2001, October 13) Apparent Age: teenager Gender: Male Ethnicity: Japanese Height: 5 foot 6 inches Weight: 110 pounds Eyes: blood red Hair: black, short, straight Power Descriptions: History: Hiro started off perfectly normal. Like any kid would he went to school and got good grades. Being the only boy, he was protective of his sisters, both his older and younger. His younger sister could do no wrong in his eyes. They had a bond that no one could even budge. Though he was picked on for his short stature and girlish figure, he couldn't change that. But he was always healthy. Never had a sick day in all his years. Never even had a bad scratch or broken bone during early childhood. When his powers revealed themselves, it was in a spectacularly gruesome fashion. Sometime after his 16th birthday he was eating dinner when he finally felt something in his stomach. He knew he wasn't sick, but something felt like it was filling his body. He wretched and blood came pouring out. and wouldn't stop. Then it came out of his eyes and nose. it was an unsanitary nightmare! He couldn't stop bleeding. His family was terrified. They called the hospital. his mother tried to comfort him, and that's when the nightmare really began. He stopped bleeding, finally, but his mother was the new recipient of the hemorrhage. Unlike him she did not have an infinite amount of blood and fell to the floor after she was 'done'. After that Hiro was taken into custody by the police. He was perfectly normal. She, was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. More nightmares popped up within the next year. Teens around his age would experience horrible fates due to different superpowers emerging. The children were born of parents who used an in utero treatment of their children, between 1998 and 2002, to give them 'genetically perfect children' and it worked. DNAscent's side project (no one knew it was them as they were using a shell company, RNAssance) however, did give the 'perfect children' genetic mutations. They were the new breed, The Nightmares, spread across East Asia. While they were still reeling from the blowback, Dr Sin saw the upstart metahumans and was not very happy. It was never him in person, but through splinter groups, he mobilized anti-Nightmare groups. The Nightmares would either be beaten and left for dead or just disappeared. Hiro was not looking to stick around He withdrew from his homeland and went to Freedom City to hide among other heroes. Due to his age, he was snapped up quickly by Claremont Academy. Personality and Motivation: Hiro is a chill guy. He doesn't know much about American culture, so he loves to learn about his new home. He likes stitching and clothes making. Something taught to him by his departed mother. He quietly reads comic books and watches news of heroes from around the world. His motivation is that he has superpowers and those powers should be used for good. A simple creed eve a spider could learn. He also wishes to learn more about his powers and Powers and Tactics: Hiro is protective. He does not immediately go in guns blazing. Partly because he doesn't believe he can control it if it gets out of hand. Still, when push comes to shove, as every good hero does, he will fight the villains, bad guys and crooks! Using tricks at first, he'll bring them to their knees by using their blood against them to knock them out or at least leave them flailing. If they're immune to the attacks, he pulls off his most audacious of attacks and turns himself into a blood monster, whacking away at them until they're beaten. This is the form he fears the most to use. Complications Family: He keeps up with his little sister and father. His older sister hates him for the death of their mother. Just A Pawn: Tauros and Dr Sin are playing an age old game of chess. The Nightmares are the newest play toys for them. New To This: American culture is something he's learning. Also the language. He may be confused with either at any time. Short: His size is a sore spot for him. 2. Player Name: Twisted Mortal Character Name: Nightmare Power Level: 10 (150/150) Trade-offs: 0 Attack / 0 Damage, 0 Defense / 0 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 0 In Brief: Terminus-infected 'human' who gives off a creepy vibe and can turn into a think-that-should-not-be Residence: Nothing permanent Base of Operations: None Catchphrase: (horrible squelching noises) Alternate Identity: Wayne Parker Identity: Public Birthplace: Freedom City Occupation: Temp Worker Affiliations: None Family: Carol Parker (mother, disowned) Description: Imagine a mannequin. The mannequin has the latex skin that's supposed to look and feel like real skin. It's 'shiny' and you'd swear it didn't have pores. It's face is hyper realistic! It smiles and frowns with it's mouth open. It has eye lids, but never really blinks. It's green eyes seem to look directly through whatever it's looking at. It's eyebrows kind of blend into the skin color, making it look like it has no eyebrows unless you really look for them. It's platinum blonde hair, short and curled, looks like some would call 'ramen hair'. It has no hair anywhere else. When it moves it looks like it's trying to mimic human movement, not disjointed, but unsure of itself. It's voice - it has a voice! - is monotone. Everything it says seems like it's trying to placate you. This is Wayne. Nightmare on the other hand is hard to explain It's a humanoid... thing? It's body is made up of warm, slick, obsidian goo that, if you were to touch, would sink into. The body is thick, half as wide as it is tall. 'Bumps', for lack of a better word, move under it's skin and some time break through to form small appendages for a second and then go back under. It's head is a long mouth, full of so many teeth and a serpentine tongue. Without eyes it somehow sees. Without a nose it somehow smells and breathes. It's arms and legs look like well packed sausages that could rip something open at any moment. Age: 22 (born October 1994) Apparent Age: Who knows? Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian, ostensibly. Height: 5'8" (Wayne), 8'0" - 16'0" (Nightmare) Weight: 200 lbs (Wayne), 500 - 4000 pounds (Nightmare) Eyes: Green (Wayne), None (Nightmare) Hair: Platinum Blonde (Wayne), None (Nightmare) Power Descriptions: History: The year was 1993. Carol Parker saw the world ending. Aliens were tearing through a hole in reality. She was young and scared. So she turned to her vices to make due. Drinking, drugs, and lots and lots of sex. Well, the world didn't end. It lost a great hero, but Carol was stuck with the repercussions of her actions. Namely, about three months later, she felt a child inside her. Though it was no ordinary pregnancy. Her child was infected with Terminus energy. Meaning anything could happen. And boy did it happen. Instead of a regular nine month ride, the baby in her body took fifteen months to birth. When he did come out, he was not normal. While caul births (being born surrounded by an amniotic sac) are rare, the fluid was black. When they opened it, the baby inside was dark as the liquid. Eventually the obsidian color faded away after a few hours. Carol's maternal instincts were not as profound as she wanted them to be. The child she had birthed - of which she named Wayne, after her beloved grandfather - was just so alien to her. Like if she didn't go through the birth herself, she wouldn't have believed it was her child. She certainly took care of the child. But it did not feel like motherhood. She and Wayne did not get along. Her parents didn't live in Freedom, so she couldn't just send him to them, all the way in California. She was not about to give him up for adoption though. It was her child. She didn't give into abortion and she wasn't about to give her child away. Wayne grew up awkwardly. Everyone around him either stayed away from him or got physically harmful with him for looking weird. By the time he was a teenager he even got some gawkers who hung out with him for being freaky. But they didn't care about him, just his looks. He took it, good or bad. Somewhere between 14 and 16 - he doesnt remember, it was a blur - he began changing in unnatural ways. The first time was just his hand, then his whole arm, then his torso. It wasn't in public at least. But his mother was scared to death when she saw her not-son turn into a giant puddle and then into a giant beast! It was then he left. He felt out what he could do. For the next few years he fended for himself. A little bit of self contemplation, a little bit of self loathing. He was his own man now. His own being? He wanted to show the world that he wasn't some kind of freak. He would be their monstrous hero! Personality and Motivation: Wayne is very quiet and contemplative about everything he does, taking at least a few seconds before he does anything. Nightmare, on the other hand is the very model of an impulsive lout. Wayne controls Nightmare, but it's like he's a different person when he's Nightmare! He wants to be a hero to show that he can be a hero, he's trying to shake the monster bit. Plus, he has great powers. Being born in the shadow of the Centurion, he feels the need to show his power can be used for good. Powers and Tactics: Nightmare is a size changing muscle. His fighting style is one of three things. First, knock them over and keep them down. If that doesn't work, grab and squeeze them. Finally, last resort, he can bite, and if need be, swallow smaller targets. He's not actually eaten someone before. He'll always hack them up after they pass out. Passively, Nightmare freaks everyone out in someway. Steadier minds (read: PCs) can handle his appearance, but others tend to be irrational around the giant dark beast. Complications Gym and Laundry: He's a fan of that life even though that life isn't a fan of him. Always look Fresh, even though he can't look anything other than weird. Limited Income: He works for temp agencies and they tend to 'lose' his information. He rarely has any expense money. Not The Best At Words: On top of looking like something from the Uncanny Valley in 'human' form he's not good at explaining things. What The Hell?!: In either form, Wayne or Nightmare can expect someone messing with him. Abilities: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0PP Strength 10 (+0) Dexterity 10 (+0) Constitution 10 (+0) Intelligence 10 (+0) Wisdom 10 (+0) Charisma 10 (+0) Combat: 0 + 0 = 0PP Initiative +0 Attack +0 Grapple +0 Defense +0 (+0 base, 0 dodge focus), +0 flat-footed Knockback -0 Saving Throws: 0 + 0 + 0 = 0PP Toughness +0 (+0 mod, +0 other) Fortitude +0 (+0 mod, +0 save) Reflex +0 (+0 mod, +0 save) Will +0 (+0 mod, +0 save) Skills: 0R = 0PP Feats: 0PP Powers: 0 = 0PP Drawbacks: -0 = -0PP DC Block ATTACK RANGE SAVING THROW EFFECT Unarmed Touch DC 15 Toughness (Staged) Damage (Physical, Bludgeoning) Totals: Abilities (0) + Combat (0) + Saving Throws (0) + Skills (0) + Feats (0) + Powers (0) = 150/150 Power Points

  4. A character that is equal parts Demon, Zombie, Robot, Ninja, Pirate. Make the ULTRA MOOK!
  5. Some place to do character creation. I have a bunch of ideas. - A silver tongued old man who uses his glibness and magic to employ big name help. A summoner and/or binder type character who's summons/powers would be based off of pantheons if not named individuals from those pantheons. - A demon who thought being evil was boring. So he found a way out of hell and did good and heroic things. Things that he wasn't programmed to do. And he enjoyed such things! So he gave hell the finger and didn't come back. Probably just a fighter with regular demon powers. Wings, Immunities, probably Hellfire Control if I can fit it into the points spread. - Hercules. Maybe not the actual Hercules. A descendant. A champion. An avatar. Whichever. I want him to be a Booster Gold style glory hound. Doing the heroics because it's fun and makes him look good. Of course, he'd be focused on being the strongest! - A Terminus powered individual who hides their abilities. No concrete powers yet, but something suitably monstrous and unsettling. The power to rip off their own skin to heal? The power to swallow things whole? Mind powers that invokes different fear, and despair (and possibly hate)? Either way it'd be hard to be a hero if they were found out. - On the flipside, a well meaning hero who can't seem to get this hero thing right. Probably flight and super strength, but is not used to the powers. Accidents. Accidents everywhere. Tell me what you think?
  6. If the daggers in Daggers' hand could have jumped out of his hand and flew toward the zombie they would of. Nevertheless, Daggers heard the zealous blades call for the destruction of the mindless unholy beast. "You know what you must do," the daggers repeated to him. "Why don't you hush and tell me something about zombies I don't know," he sent a message back to the blades, "is this even a regular zombie? Can you tell?" Daggers looked to the scientist, "so this is disease based? No taint of evil," his rough hero voice facade, "I'm going to help you either way. I would very much like to help you in your situation." Knowledge (arcane lore) for identifying this zombie's supernatural traits
  7. 11:47AM, Tokyo, Japan. Jason had a full itinerary yesterday. His father was in Japan hosting a business meeting with several influential businesses. Jason, as always, tagged along for the ride. Though it wasn't all fun and games. The bonded daggers knew there would be trouble even if they were in a foreign land. Youkai was just another word for supernatural and the daggers knew their marks. So while everyone was asleep, Daggers got down to business. Oni that blended in with with humanity for sinister purposes. One checked off the list. By the time the sun rose he was back at the hotel, sleeping. His father unaware of his nightly activities. "You're gonna miss breakfast, Jay," his father warned him. But he saw Jason was snoozing peacefully, "ok, but i'm lifting you out of that bed before the plane takes off." A few hours later, his secondary phone buzzed This was not for Jason. This was for Daggers. He sat up quick. It was a message. He remember druid for that time they cleared a grove of 'unnaturals' during the blood red moon. "Give me a moment to get ready." before popping in the coordinates and hitting send. Jason slipped out his special suitcase and took a route to a secluded area. Exactly where he told Hyperactive he would be.Opening the suitcase the daggers flew into his hands. "About time, are we going oni slaying again. Oh no, you have a mission. I see." The suit melded to his body before Hyperactive showed up. "I'm the help you wanted," he greeted the speedster with a rough voice, "but what exactly am I needed for?"
  8. Well, Jason's superhero identity is a secret. Daggers is a hunter of supernatural creatures. Jason is idly rich giving big checks to good sports causes. Never the twain shall meet. Maybe if we do it for Claremont he can be a coach? The whole powers thing can happen on the court.
  9. So, we have Mannequin, brain in an eight foot tall suit Miracle Girl, school age strong flight Pacer, school age speedy Stalwart, school age strong Feeding Frenzy, school age shark guy With all the school age, I guess Jason could be donate to Claremont Academy. I really don't know how he could compete?
  10. I apologize for not getting to this like I said I would. Definitely first thing next Saturday.
  11. To everyone who's answered, which do you prefer? Charity game or streetball?
  12. In Dagger's civilian identity, Jason supports sports leagues. This could be for charity or could be a random street game. It would be for some social interaction among PCs. Four people, including myself, at most for some 2-on-2. Jason does not have speed or flight, so he'd be stomped if anyone used it. Not saying you can't but it'd be an unfair advantage! Also, he's rich enough to travel, so this could happen anywhere. Most of the action happens in Freedom, but Emerald or Bedlam could have it too.
  13. The Critic. Non-violent doesn't always mean happy! Uses criticism to mentally lockdown his opponent. Meant to be a non-violent, but hey, maybe a villain to some people! If a villain, throw in something that makes his opponent look bad and himself look better.
  14. The night air was was pretty damp. Warehouse districts, abandoned or not, were pretty damn noxious in smell and taste. Unfortunately for Daggers, he didn't have the luxury of changing his suit on the fly. The daggers that he bonded with knew there would be something going on here. "Focus, Jason," they mentally told him, "one momentary distraction could be your last." While the daggers were morbid, they were right. He had learned to live with the nagging and some times used it to his advantage. Tonight's hunt would bring him in contact with werecreatures. The daggers loaded his mind with thoughts and information about the creature as they gleefully tore into the evil creatures. "Your back, to your left. Those obsidian blades are positively magical. Maybe we should nab a few. You know, research. You're not going to get better than me, you know?" Then more came. There were a lot more than he or the daggers anticipated. Jason smiled at the 'invitation' of joining the army. "Come on, boys," Jason grinned and spoke with a heavy voice, "the night is young. But yours? It's almost over."
  15. Will be posting today! Sorry about missing last week.
