  1. Mason wasn't sure if Gretchen was joking about Merge or not, so he politely laughed, even if he didn't get the joke. But after Lynn's cryptic comment, he decided that maybe this Merge person was some kind of exotic entity or something. Definetly something to look into in the future. He let the subject go and explained that his astral projection hadn't developed that far yet. "Hypothetically yes, I could enter other dimensions. My father can, anyway, so I see no reason why I wouldn't be able to. He refused to teach me how, however. He said it was too dangerous for someone my age. It is one of the things I am looking into with my research," he explained as he tapped on the book he had just bought from them. "Making things more complicated is that going to Fae will probably be the easiest dimension for me to get to but also one of the least safe. Gretchen caught Mason off guard with her inquisitorial questioning. "Yes, I mean, I suppose I can do both of those things, but would only do so to protect someone." His voice quivered, unsure if he was being accused of something or it was his imagination. He had trouble reading Gretchen. Troubling reading either of them, apparently. "Why makes you ask about emotion control?"
  2. Mason was just about to respond when the knock interrupted him. He nodded to the woman from earlier and was surprised when she came into the office was them. He was more surprised at the affection between them, but at least that explained why Gretchen was in the know and had the magical trinkets. Of course it brought his previous faux pas back to his mind, and his cheeks turned the slightest pink. He quickly pushed it out of his head, however. "Oh, uh. I can astrally project and communicate over long distances. I can manipulate people's emotions... Oh, and I have a magical blast I can magic missile," he finished, eyes looking up as he searched his brain. "Oh but, who is Merge? That is a strange name... Is Merge another magic user like us?"
  3. Mason was hesitant of exploring deeper into the hedge but was glad of the extra company. He would have preferred to project his senses into the hedge or even astrally project. There was no where to put his body though, and he didn't trust his new friends. Hell, they could even be Fay trying to draw him in. That would suck. He followed anyway. He was here to make a difference and that meant taking chances. "Well, I don't know who you people are, but to be honest, I'm really glad I'm not doing this alone... unless you are Fae trying to pull me in..." Better to force the trap now than waiting until they got deeper.
  4. His cheeks were already pink when he blurted out his ill advised question. As the silence stretched on, his face turned red hot. Luckily Lynn was nice to the poor boy. At least he knew now for sure that she had no ill intent toward him; it would have been the perfect time to spring a trap. Then, torn between apologizing and just taking the out she offered him, he decided on the later. "Um, yeah, my magic," he stammered, "It is a fairly odd form of magic as far as I can tell. Although to be fair, my studies have been limited to my father's library until fairly recently. I can draw power from the Fae realm through my blood connection. Then I shape that power into a more conventional spell. The advantage is that I don't need to use words of power or hand signs to draw the magic from the universe at large, but the disadvantage is that if cut off from the Fae, I would lose access to my powers." Why did I just tell her my weakness? I just met her. He had never been able to talk about this with anyone besides his parents before, so now it all just came pouring out. "I can create illusions too," he continued as a miniature armored knight appeared on her desk, "but they lack the substance of glamour."
  5. "Careful," Mason warned as he approached the hedge slowly, "if it disappears we won't be able to find out what is going on until the next attack. This type of magic isn't always stable." The dogs' weariness worried him. They would know if there was something to worry about. It didn't matter if there was something dangerous, however, there were innocent people getting hurt. He breathed in the smell of the isles and let his blood resonate with the magic of the hedge. Then he made sure his force field was active before reaching out and touching the greenery.
  6. Mason picked up the figurine and looked it over. The detail, the weight, even the texture seemed real. He set it back down on the desk, and it was gone. "Is an illusion that affects all senses any different than a real object?" The transformation startled him in a way that the figurine didn't. He was about to say something but just stuttered. After a moment, he collected himself and tried to cover by taking a long drink of his coffee before continuing, "I get my powers from something similar. My family supposedly has Fae blood, and that is where we get our powers. Are people with connections to the Fae common around here? It seems strange that I have gone my whole life without meeting anyone else like me, and then I come here and meet someone rather quickly." She was a bit older than him, but he felt a kinship to her that he wanted to explore. "Would you ever want to go out sometime?" It was a rather sudden question.
  7. Mason's eyes scanned the numerous magical items in the office. Most of it was more interesting than troublesome. The two firearms were the other way around, however. He took a seat when it was offered but wasn't particularly relaxed. He made no move for the candy. He had been warned about accepting gifts from Fae. He squirmed uncomfortably under her gaze. Why am I the one always squirming? I am wield the arcane arts and have the blood of the Fae flowing through me. They should be the ones to squirm! Why weren't they the ones to squirm?... Pay attention! The false mental bravado achieved nothing other than to distract him. Luckily, she hadn't tried anything yet. "Oh, so are they magical and disguised with glamour, or are they mundane items hid with magic? I must admit, I am still working on my ability to scrutinize things with magic," he was saying when she apparently remembered something very important. He stammered to a stop and let watched her wide-eyed. Surely she meant no harm. She seemed harmless, but shouldn't that warn him of more danger? Then her oath was spoken. He didn't feel any different, but if her powers were like his, it was enough. Should he reciprocate? Maybe if asked... "So you are Fae. I have to admit, I've never met one of you. Although I have been warned plenty. What brings you to live in this world? And is your employee out there a Fae or are you out to all your employees? Do you get back to the old country often?" he spurted out. Suddenly, he was embarrassed. "I'm sorry. You don't have to answer those questions. You invited me back here to talk, I assume you had something in mind?"
  8. When the grumpy man's runes lit up, Mason activated his force field and started weaving a spell in his mind. He made no move at hostilities though. He didn't like being judged like this either. He was young and inexperienced. Hopefully that wouldn't be broadcast to the others. Luckily, the scrutiny resulted in nothing more than a quip about his name. Soon others started to arrive. He greeted them and introduced himself as appropriate. If this investigation did turn out to be something bigger, it would be good to have backup. Astral projection or sense projection would allow for him to scan the area faster, but he didn't know these people well enough to leave his body defenseless with them. Hopefully his basic magic sense would be enough to lead him in the right direction. Then again, there was a lot of magic that seemed to be going down between the group gathered. "Spreading out sounds like as good of a plan to me as any."
  9. Abandoning the safety of a public space made Mason uncomfortable. They didn't seem like they were setting up a trap, but you could never be too careful with Fae. That being said, they could have nothing to do with him. Probably had nothing to do with him. And if she had information on the Fae and magic, she could make a very important ally. Mason picked up his coffee and book. "A private conversation is probably a good idea. Lead the way." Mason nervously followed Lynn back to her office. He tried reaching out with his powers to her office but didn't detect a horde of Fae hobgoblins or a portal do another dimension. Maybe they were just going to have a conversation about magic.
  10. Mason turned bright red and squirmed under her scrutiny. His innocence and youth were apparent to the more cosmopolitan woman. "Uh... Yeah. I was just trying to be... you know, subtle?" he stammered as his defense. He then shut up and sat in silence until Gretchen indicated that her boss had connections to the Fae. Suddenly his embarrassment melted into a nervousness that bordered on panic. Even if they are allied with him, they don't know who you are. Stay calm. Mason gulped and steeled himself while absentmindedly fingering the magic ring on his finger. Great, another attractive woman, he thought as she approached. He shook her hand nervously, but she didn't seem to have any malevolent intent. "Hi! I'm Mason. I'm a student at FCU. Although this," he said with a tap on his new purchase, "is for some extra-curricular study." Lynn's disarming smile and laid-back outfit relaxed him enough to only be regular nervous. "To be honest, I had almost given up my search for a good bookstore. Most of them that advertise to students of the occult have more new age drivel or myths that have been overly Disneyfied. It seems you guys have the real deal here."
  11. Mason confirmed his drink order and moved down to the end of the bar and continued his page flipping as he waited for his drink. He startled when she placed the drink in front of him and asked her question. He wasn't the kind of guy who usually read in public, but at the moment, was fully absorbed. He gaped far a second before collecting himself and responding, "Yes." He took a sip of his drink, which was delicious, before thinking through his answer. He wasn't in the habit of telling women he was into fairies. It was then that he noticed the magical items she wore. Well at least she probably understood the difference between the Fae and pop-culture fairies. Plus she seemed to be engaged, so what difference did it make? "Yeah. My family has always had a special connection to the Fae," he continued, not explaining much. He was considering what to say next when she asked about the ring. He twisted it around his finger and replied, "No, but it was hand-made by my father, so maybe in the future it will make heirloom status. Speaking of nice pieces, you seem to have some enchanting pieces yourself." Ok, maybe that was a little on the nose...
  12. It wasn't one of Mason's normal patrol times, but he was putting off some homework that he needed to do before classes on Monday morning. Running around in a costume was still new to him. He lurked in the areas of the park that provided more cover, uneasy roaming about in the open. When he overheard a couple talking about a dog attack, he blew it off at first. Then he remembered something he read about and old English tale and decided to check it out. When he arrived on the scene, he noticed two costumes already there. His first assumption was that they had something to do with the attack but it didn't make sense that they would be standing around chatting afterward. If they were heroes then, the situation was probably already under control. There was another goal he could accomplish, however, introducing himself to the hero community of Freedom City. He approached the two with as much confidence as he could muster. "Hello gentleman. I'm the Sidhe."
  13. After going to four bookstores and having no success, Mason's hopes for the final place were low. As he stepped in front of the building, the hairs on the back of his neck informed him he had arrived before he even checked the GPS on his phone. He closed his eyes and reached out with his mind. Yes, this is the place. Today won't be a waste after all. He pulled open the door and was immediately hit with Christmas cheer. Red and green decorations co-mingled with pieces recalling a time when magicians were viewed with wonder and suspicion instead of bored bemusement. He nodded to the woman behind the counter and began perusing the shelves. He let his senses guide him to the spots that hide the treasures between the trinkets. They had a good selection of materials he hadn't read or even heard of. This place would serve him well for years to come. He found an old book on English Fae and couldn't help picking it up. It wasn't cheap, but he was pretty sure his dad didn't even have a copy of this one in his library. He gingerly flipped through the pages as he waited in line. When he got up to the counter, he put it down softly, "This and a mocha coffee, please."
  14. I don't know if people already know about this, but hero machine has a lot of options and is in English.

  16. Introduction Who are you? Sum yourself up in one sentence. I’m a college student with Fae magic trying to make a difference in the world. Do you have any nicknames, street names, titles, or nom de plume? The Sidhe. I managed to suggest the name to someone that works at my college paper and the name stuck. What is your full birth name? Mason Akers Where do you live? 13 1/3 Barrow Lane. A magically warded row house paid for by my parents. How old are you? What year were you born (if applicable)? 19. Born September 9, 1996. Physical Traits What is your gender? If not applicable, please explain. Cis Male How would you describe your heritage? My ancestors came to America a few hundred years ago from England. How tall are you? Five foot eight What is your body type? If I was taller, people would call me lanky. Do you have any particular weaknesses, such as allergies or physical disabilities? I’m not that strong or tough, but no disabilities. Cold iron suppresses my powers. How do you carry yourself? Are you graceful, or heavy on your feet? Can you be stealthy, do you walk with confidence? I’ve been told I walk with a confidence people my size don’t usually have. Describe your skin, eye, and hair color. Generic Englishman with American teeth. Light brown hair and hazel eyes. I had some complexion problems when I was younger but not for a few years now. How do you wear your hair, if applicable? Do you have facial hair? My hairs usually around an inch long and pretty messy. If I have someplace special to go, I put some product in my hair. Do you consider yourself attractive? Do others? I guess, maybe? Do you have any scars, tattoos, piercings, or birthmarks? I have a birthmark of the Triskelion on my scalp. Do you resemble anyone famous? ::begrudgingly:: Michael Cera Do you have a dominant hand? I’m right-handed. What kind of clothing do you wear? Usually jeans and a t-shirt I guess. A FCU sweatshirt when it cools off. Do you wear makeup? Uh, no. What is your vocal range? Is your voice distinctive in some way? I don’t think I’m a bad singer, but I’ve been told I’m wrong about that. Do you have any distinctive habits, nervous tics, or mannerisms? Where did they come from, and what causes them? Do other people notice and remark on these habits? Do they annoy you or other people? I check my watch constantly when I’m nervous. Sometimes I latch and unlatch it. I’ve been told to knock it off more than once. History Where do you come from? Creede, Colorado Have you made any major moves, or do you live in your hometown? Freedom City is the only place outside of Creede that I have ever lived. Do you feel loyal to your country of citizenship? Do you consider yourself patriotic? How do you feel about the government of your country? Murica! Haha, just kidding. I mean, yeah, sure. If we went to war with China or Russia or someone big like that, I would probably sign up. I guess I mostly trust the government, depends on what they’re doing on any given day. How do you feel about the place you come from? It was boring and out of the way. It wasn’t terrible or anything, just meh. Where is your home town? What was/is it like? It’s just about one of the smallest towns in the mountains of Colorado. We spend a lot of time on the slopes and playing video games. There wasn’t much else to do. Growing up, were most of the people you knew similar to you, or were you somehow a minority? How did that affect you? I didn’t even realize how much all the people of Creede were like me until I moved to Freedom City. Because of our family history, we were always a little different, but that rarely ever came up. Is there something you've always been really good at or really bad at? How has that affected your life? I’ve always been scrawny, which seems to make an extra big difference when you grow up in a town that loves the outdoors. That being said, I wouldn’t saw that I’m really bad at being athletic or anything. My parents have taught me to always keep my eyes open and to trust my gut. Were there any traumatic experiences in your early years (death of a family member, abandonment, orphaned at an early age)? My first real experience with magic was when I accidently astrally projected. I thought I was dead, and my ghost was flying around. I would say that I got over it though. Briefly describe a defining moment in your childhood and how it influenced your life. I guess the closest thing to a defining experience would be what I just previously described. I knew dad could use magic my whole life. There were no shocking deaths of friends and family. For the most part, it was pretty peaceful. What stupid things did you do when you were younger? I broke my arm twice on the slopes. I was lucky not to have broken anything when I played football for a few years. I got into quite a few arguments with my parents. All over stupid stuff, of course. I let a girl pierce my ears. One of them got infected. They’ve since closed up. Where did you go to school? How much school did you have, and did you enjoy it? Creede school district. I’m at FCU now. I was homeschooled when it came to magic. I would say that I’ve always liked school for the most part. I can get bored sometimes, but who doesn’t? Do you have any mementos of your childhood? What are they, and why did you keep them? If you have none, why not? I have a couple of cross county t-shirts and the watch my parents gave me for my 16th birthday. When did you decide to become a hero? Why? Did anyone influence you one way or another in the decision? There was an avalanche at a nearby resort one year when I was growing up. I knew my father’s powers could have been used to save lives. He refused to even consider it because of the danger of being exposed. I decided then and there to use my powers to help people even if it put me in danger. Is the reason you give people for becoming a hero different than your real reason? If so, why? No, why would it be? Do you have any deep, dark secrets in the past that may come back to haunt you? Not really. Nothing on the level you’re talking about anyways. Do you represent yourself as being different from who you really are? Why? No. I think I am pretty genuine. If you do have these secrets, what do you fear would happen if the truth became known? How far would you go to protect those secrets? I don’t think that I have any secrets that would do any more than leave me a little embaressed. Do you have any sort of criminal record? If so, is it public knowledge? 2 speeding tickets. I think I got caught out after curfew once. Family What are your biological parents' names? Hank and Cheryl Akers Were you raised by them? If not, please explain and describe who raised you. Yup What was their standing in the community? What did/do they do for a living? My father owns a large amount of land and property in Colorado. He stayed out of the public eye, however. My mother was a homemaker. She was pretty big in the PTA but that’s it. Where are your parents now? Still in Creede doing their thing. Did your family stay in one area or move around a lot? No, we stayed in one spot. Barely even went on vacation. How did you get along with their parents? How do you get along with them now (if applicable). They were helicopter parents, so I found that annoying. I can’t say they were bad parents or anything though. I still have a hard time with some of their choices. How do your parents view you now, or how would they? If they knew about my extra-curriculars they would do everything in their power to pull me back home. Do you have any siblings? If so how many and what are their names? Describe your relationship with them. No. My family is unable to ever have more than one child. What was your birth order in the family? Only child. Where are your siblings now (if applicable)? Do they have families of their own? What do they do? See above. Do you stay in touch with them or have you become estranged? Not applicable. Do you love or hate one member of the family in particular? No, not in particular. Is any member of the family special to you in any way (perhaps, as a confidant, mentor, or arch-rival)? My father has taught me most of what I know about magic. Are there any black (or white) sheep in the family (including you)? If so, please explain. Maybe me, in that I refuse to keep my head down. Do you have a notorious or celebrated ancestor? If so, please explain, including how it has affected your life. We don’t remember his name. We actually don’t know it was a man except that my father says that his mother and grandfather always said it was. But somewhere in our history someone made a deal with the Fae, which granted us our powers. That individual certainly changed the course of my family’s history forever. Do you have a partner and children currently? If so, please describe them. Haha, no. I mean I had a couple of “girlfriends” in high school but nothing serious. My parents were always worried about people getting to close to our family. It is something I am hoping I can change here in Freedom City. If you do not have a partner or children, do you want them someday? How firm are you in your opinion on this, and what might change your mind? I haven’t really thought about children in the real sense. I feel like I have to have one because otherwise my family line will die out. I can say I would like to date, but I don’t know beyond that. What type of person would be your ideal mate? Haha, I’m sure I don’t know that yet. Relationships Do you have any close friends? If so, please describe them, and how you came to be close to them. I mean, I had some close friends in high school, but none of them are here in Freedom City with me. We play games online sometimes but that’s about it. Do you have a best friend? If so, how did they become your best friend? How close are you to your best friend? Jerik Demeter and I were pretty close. We were in cross country together. I even went on vacation with his family once. If you were to go missing, who would worry about you? My parents would lose it. Have you lost any loves? If so, how did it happen, and what did you do? No. Do you have any bitter enemies? If so, please describe them and their history with you. The King on the Yellow Crowned Hill is hunting my family. I have never met him, however. If you have enemies, how do you think they might attempt to work against you in the future? According to my father, he is always looking for us. What is the worst thing someone has done to you? Someone in high school started a nasty rumor about me. It really sucked at the time, but all things considered, it hasn’t let me scarred. Where do your loyalties lie? In what order? I like to think I would do the right thing no matter the cost. I haven’t really had the chance to test that though. Who or what do you trust the most? Why? I trust my parents to never betray me. They are the only ones that know about my powers. Apparently, I have never trusted anyone else enough to tell them. I do not trust them to put what is right over our family’s protection though. Who or what do you despise? Why? I cannot stand powerful people harming others for their own benefit. <his agitation is palpable> I can understand desperate people making bad choices nut not those who have other options. What qualities do you admire most in other people? Are these qualities you possess? I admire people that speak truth to power and stand up for others. I hope I will be doing that in my time here in Freedom City. What qualities do you hate most in other people? Do you have any of those qualities? Greed. I can’t stand greedy people. Do you have a secret identity? If so, who knows it? Do you hide it from people who are close to you? Why? Yes, I do. And no, no one knows. The only people that know about my powers are my parents, and they would kill me if they knew I went so far from home to use my powers. Do you work well on teams and in groups? Are you a leader or a follower? I think so. I mean, I have never done this kind of thing in a group, but I have never had problems on group projects or sports team, so sure. Are you on a super team? If so, how do you get along with your comrades? Do you trust them, or do you have secrets from them? I am not, at this time. Are you a member of any church, fraternal organization, club, committee, political party, or other group? How much time do you spend on that? Yeah, ACLU, Young Democrats, etc Personality & Beliefs Who are your heroes? I mean The Centurion, obviously, but who doesn’t? Beyond that, I look up to the Atom Family. I hope, someday, my family will be willing to face the world like they do. Did you ever become disillusioned with former heroes or idols? If so, why and what were the circumstances? I was thought my dad was pretty cool with his magic powers and all. As I got older, however, I started to become disappointed in him when I got older and learned that he did nothing with his power besides use it to hide. Do you like being a hero? If so, what is the most rewarding part? If not, what makes you keep doing it? I wouldn’t consider myself a hero, at least not yet. I hope to do something to deserve that title at some point though. Is there anything that would make you give up hero work, or even switch sides? No, absolutely not. I refuse to become my father. What are your short term goals (what would you like to be doing within a year)? Hopefully I will meet some people in this line of work who can help me out. I don’t really know what I’m doing and being in a new city doesn’t make that easier. I need to keep my grades up as well. What are your long term goals (what would you like to be doing twenty years from now)? Graduate from college, of course. Get some kind of job I don’t hate. Meet someone. I’d like to make the world a better place. Maybe even bring my family out of the shadows. What is your greatest fear? Why? What do you do when something triggers this fear? Becoming my father. Is there anything you would give you life for? I’d like to think I would give my life to do the right thing. How do you feel about money and material wealth? Do you desire it or disdain it? Are you miserly with what you have, or do you like to share? Is it a mark of success, or a means to an end? My family has always been well off, and there is nothing wrong with that, but money and power seem to corrupt a lot of people. How do you generally treat others? Well of course! Are you a trusting person? Has your trust ever been abused? Yeah, I think most people can be trusted for the most part. That being said, I don’t plan on telling anyone my identity for now. Are you introverted (shy and withdrawn) or extroverted (outgoing)? Do you have a lot of self-confidence? I guess I lean more towards being introverted but not by much. How do you act around attractive, available members of your preferred sex? Haha, like a fool, at first at least. What are your most annoying habits? I jingle and unclasp/reclasp my watch when I’m nervous. I’m told it can get pretty irritating. Do you feel contempt for any general category of people? Who are they, and why? Racists, bigots, you know, the whole basket of deplorables. What is your favorite food? Do you prefer any particular type of food? Do you take the time to enjoy your food, or do you eat as fast as you can? Who doesn’t love pizza? What is your favorite drink (alcoholic or otherwise)? <laughing> Don’t tell anyone, but I love me some Arnold Palmer. What is your favorite treat (dessert)? My mom makes a mean chocolate cookie. She gave me a bunch when I moved in, but I’m out now. Are there any specific foodstuffs that you find disgusting or refuse to eat? I don’t get the whole sushi thing. It’s weird. What is your favorite color? Are there any colors you dislike? Blue. What sort of music do you like? Is there any that you hate? I have a love/hate relationship with country music. It was all the local radio stations played. Thank god for internet radio. If you have a favorite scent, what is it? Ummm, no? Do you have a favorite animal? I like dogs. Back home we have a German shepherd named Hunter. What is your most treasured possession? Why? We have a family tree going back 6 generations. It is actually pretty cool. Do you enjoy "roughing it", or do you prefer your creature comforts? Every once in a while, I enjoy a good outdoor adventure. Is there a job or a task you would absolutely refuse to do? I worked at a stable on summer. So much shoveling. And the smell when it gets hot. No thanks. Do you consider yourself a spiritual person? If so, how do your beliefs affect your life? How important is it to you? I went to church growing up but it was mostly to keep up appearances in our town. I don’t really know if I believe in God. Was your faith influenced or molded by anyone special? Not really. If you belong to a religious organization, how often do you attend? Do you have a specific place of worship, or friends within the organization? How much do you agree with the beliefs of your organization? I don’t belong to any. Could you kill? Have you killed? Maybe, to save someone else’s life. I haven’t ever before though. What circumstances led to you forming that conviction, or taking that action? I don’t know. I guess I’ve never questioned that killing is wrong if you can avoid it. Are there circumstances under which you believe it is permissible to kill? What are they? Yes, in self-defense or the defense of other’s lives. How would you react to watching someone kill another person? Would your reaction be different if the killer was a friend or an enemy of yours? I would try to stop it, no matter who it was. How would you react if something important was stolen from you? Our family has some pretty dangerous stuff around. I would have to get it back. How would you react to public humiliation? Ugh, that makes my stomach drop. I’d want to get out of there as fast as possible! How would you react if a good friend or relative were purposely or accidentally killed? Has it happened to you? Oh jeez, now things are getting real. I don’t know what I would do if someone I was close to died. I would be angry, hopefully not stupidly so. What do you consider to be the worst crime someone could commit and why? Human trafficking is pretty messed up. If your life were to end in 24 hours, what five things would you do in those remaining hours? I would want to see my family. I would want to find a way to carry on my family’s line. I would want to spend some time in the mountains. I would want to see England. And finally, I would want to tell someone my secret. Career & Training Do you have any special training in your hero skills? If so, where and how did you get it? My father has been training me in the theory and use of magic since my powers first developed. Who taught you the most about your heroing abilities? What was your relationship with that person? My father. He has been my mentor but has also disappointed me. Do you have any particularly unusual skills? How did you acquire them? Besides the use of magic? No. Do you do something besides hero work for a living? Have you ever done anything else, or do you plan to? I am a student at FCU. As far as what comes after college? I’m not sure yet. What is your preferred combat style? I’ve found success using my powers to bind people until the police arrive and take the suspect into custody. Have you ever received any awards or honours? I’m an honor roll student. That is about it. What skill areas would you like most to improve in? Is there anything you can't do that you wish desperately you could? Well it is important to constantly study and improve in magic, but I worry that I would be left defenseless if I lost my powers. How do you act around people who are more skilled than you in areas you'd like to improve? Are you jealous, or do you try and learn? I’m a little worried about being a fanboy, so I hope I don’t do that! Lifestyle & Hobbies What is a normal day for you? How do you feel when something interrupts this routine? Class, Astral Scouting, Magic Study, Maybe catch up with some classmates, More astral scouting, Homework, Bed. There is always something that interrupts. Something always breaks up my routine: Errands, someone in trouble, a party, group project. I roll with it pretty well. Do you have any hobbies, or interests outside hero work? What are they, and where did you pick them up? I like to go running, it clears my head. I tend to get caught up in a little political agitating here and there. What do you do for fun? I enjoy kicking back with a few friends and having a beer. Even better if its around a campfire. Do you have a costume? What does it look like? The main piece is a blue and black, hooded robe that goes all the way down to around my shins. I have a mask that covers the lower part of my face. Those two things I keep in my backpack in case of emergency. When I go out deliberately, I also have black pants and black combat boots. How do you normally dress when not in costume? Jeans and a t-shirt. A sweatshirt if it’s chilly out. What do you wear to bed most nights? Old cross country tee and running shorts. Do you wear any special jewelry? What is it, and what does it look like? A watch my parents gave to me. It is stainless steel with a black face. Do you have a special place where you keep your valuables? No. On my dresser or in my top dresser door because it’s convenient. What's your preferred means of local travel? How about long distance? Walking or taking a bus. For longer distances I would take Uber or rent a car. Miscellaneous Have you ever made a will, or tried to make arrangements for your death? What provisions did you make? No, I’ve never even thought about it. If your features were to be destroyed beyond recognition, is there any other way of identifying your body? The birthmark on my scalp. What would you like to be remembered for after your death? I hope I am remembered for bringing my family out of the shadows and into a crime fighting family. Do you believe you pose a threat to the public? Why or why not? No, there is no reason the public should be afraid of me. My powers are not massive enough, and I use non-lethal means. What do you perceive as your greatest strength? My magic of course! What do you perceive as your greatest weakness? My lack of experience. As a player, if you could, what advice would you give your character? Speak as if he/she were sitting right here in front of you. Use proper tone so they might heed your advice... You know you lack experience, don’t forget that means you don’t know everything about how the world really works. And maybe your parents aren’t as misguided as you think.
