Torpedo Lass II "Well..." She sighed, looking at Golden Star. "Not that I or anyone was in any condition to apprehend the terrorist... I was knocked out and in the drink and the ship was sinkin' fast. I think whoever was inside that suit got what they wanted and left." She said, remembering what she could and what was told to her later. "The US Navy showed up about 30 minutes after the chaos... I woke up in a ship's infirmary with... not many other survivors. Water was cold, did the work that villain never did... but the docs on the ship were curious about me. I had zero signs of hypothermia, and outside of just being unconcious somehow when I was plucked out of the water I was the picture of perfect health." She stretched again, adjusting the vest portion of her suit. "Once I woke up and they saw my glowin' peepers though..." She pointed to her eyes that had a slight but noticable enough blue-green phosphorescent glow to them. "Well they knew what was up. Got sent to a medical facility that specialized in people with powers... and that was it." "Got my invite to Claremont after I moved in with my Uncle downtown. I think he's glad I'm not leaving wet socks everywhere. Ever since I got the powers I have I just can't resist swimming whenever I can. I mean... 75% of the planet's covered with water, suddenly I got options for travel." She started to speak more to those around her... "Managed with some help to get this suit designed based on my experiences SCUBA diving. Custom weighted and has adjustable buoyancy, streamlined and comfy. Although the costume design course at the school is going to be interesting... someone suggested I should make a Claremont variant of my outfit but... we'll see."

Torpedo Lass II "Anchovies are a war crime." She said, making a brushing off gesture. "And even though I'm Hawaiian, I do NOT eat Pineapple on pizza either." "That and Whatever made you thought I'd tell ya what to eat?" She said with a grin. Although she was annoyed by the comment... or maybe the aura was starting to creep in on her again.

Torpedo Lass II "Yeah... although my situation was literally getting my powers when my predecessor got sort of... erased." "You can see the conundrum... Lately I'd been thinking of 'Supercav' sort of a shortened form of 'supercavitation', a hydrodynamic effect that allows for a high rate of speed while underwater... which is how my swimming works." She stretched a bit. "That and the one who did the deed's still out there... perhaps keeping the name might call them out of hiding... and I wouldn't want them using whatever radiation that was they fired from their monstrosity of a mechanical suit at anyone else." She said with a sigh.

Torpedo Lass II Mizuki laughed. "Seesh the girl wearing the sailor suit being the commander of the squad... the world has gone topsy-turvy." She nervously adjusted the collar of her suit. "Then again it all feels like I'm emulating my predecessor... but I felt my dad out there... and my mom this time. She was always the calm voice of reason." She sighed. "Enough of that... I'm starvin'... meet up at the cafeteria? Or... I could order pizza... for all of us."

Torpedo Lass II Velocity... referred to me by my real name... not Torpedo Lass... Mizuki thought. Lately she had been wondering if being in Torpedo Lass' shadow was such a good idea. "To be honest... still tryin' to figure out who I am before I start bein' the hero." Mizuki said opening her arms as if to fully show off the costume she fabricated for herself before joining the academy. "I had the name "Torpedo Lass" tossed in my lap... But I'm keeping this outfit. It... suits me." "I'm starting to wonder if I can swim as fast as you move someday..."

Torpedo Lass was in awe... but in these halls the immensity of the world she was thrust into was laid bare. This was a hall for heroes. And here she was, A Claremont Student, who has been wondering how far she'd fly with borrowed wings... But it didn't matter much... she wasn't comfortable in the legacy recently, but the costume on the other hand was something she enjoyed. No matter... there was an open invitation... if there ever was a time to get a view of her peers and her seniors, this was as good of a chance as any outside of an academic environment. She whistled. "Seems I'm early." She was wearing her typical costume, a white/blue sailor collared wetsuit-like bodysuit and vest with red trim, she wore a pair of goggles, more an affectation than any need, when she jumped over from Bayview. She'd already pulled them up over her forehead by this point though. "Was surprised the invite landed in my mailbox at school..." She said with a grin. "Name's Mizuki... err... umm... Torpedo Lass."

Mizuki decided to just let the Koopa pass and see what she was driving into. "Well... that's interesting." She thought, seeing the pier getting closer and closer as she followed the road. "Either there's something planned there... or Quirk doesn't intend for us to win..." More and more she wondered just how she was even going to survive this.

Torpedo Lass II "I... I wasn't leading, I was just letting someone know what I was thinking... keeping teammates in the loop is a good idea, no?" She said, scratching her head. "That and if anyone was at a loss for a opening move well... suggestions help." "What do I know... I'm just some girl in a sailor suit." She said with a grin.

Torpedo Lass hopped down from her derezzing position to the ground near where the group had assembled. "Every plan falls in the face of the enemy." Torpedo Lass said, stretching out. "I guess more and more it's better to adapt to the situation when dealing with supervillains." Scratching her head she looked to Baz and Consuelo. "You good?" She said with a smile. "Took some licks, but I wager that's why they wanted us to go all out in here." "I wager the infirmary not having to patch us up is appreciated."

Torpedo Lass II "Ah, Excellent!" Mizuki said, looking over to Vicki. "Also, the cold stopped botherin' me after the well... incident that gave me my powers." She stared at the floor for a moment before looking up. The sting of losing her parents and seeing a hero atomized before her eyes before her world was bathed in a blue-green light was just as fresh now as it was 6 months ago. She cleared her throat. "No need to worry about the threads. Same with swimming... I could swim in the Antarctic or Arctic oceans and not care one bit. So off shore around here is nothin'." She smirked a little. "Name's Mizuki... some have started callin' me after the previous Torpedo Lass... but on accountin' she's no longer with us and I seem to have caught a xerox of her powers well..." She shrugged. "Sorta like it, to be honest."

Mizuki was coping. But seeing Timeout do his best Tracer impression made her realize something as she was jousting with one of the enemy karters... all she needed was for this persistant one to get off her case! She couldn't just cut throttle and fall back further, but it could get the bogeys in front where she wants them...

Well what I plan on doing is tossing a phosphorescent sphere at one of the enemy karts and see what happens. Going to tap the brakes real quick and let one loose. Not that it'll do much as I rolled a 12

Question: Do we have access to our powers in this?

Torpedo Lass II "EXCUSE ME!?!" Torpedo Lass shouted, throwing another bluish-green energy ball at Pyre as she jumped to new high-ground at the same level she was at before, keeping a distance, but well within range. "Did I give you permission to shoot at other people after outright ignoring me? NO." Torpedo Lass' expression went from mocking to serious. "Don't mess with my squad. I get petty."

That being said, it'd be my pleasure to remind him that Pyre's conversation is with me... Going to jump to a new vantage point roughly same level as I currently am at in the mall, while throwing another "Phosphorescent Sphere" at him. Rolled a modded 20 for the attack. (13+7)

Torpedo Lass II Mizuki was jogging closeby, with a backpack loaded with her daily assortment of text books. And possibly a couple bricks. Note the backpack was more suited to hiking than to jogging... particularly for a mile... But she knew she had time between her physics and biology classes normally reserved for lunch to get out into the New England air. The cold never bothered her at all after she gained her powers, so she's out with a sailor collared shirt and a pair of coverall jeans and a sturdy pair of boots, with goggles on her head as she runs. She walked into the Library, was going to return a couple books she borrowed, on hydrodynamics that she was reading out of curiosity when she noticed a bit of a crowd. "Busy day." She said, noting the new faces. She nodded to 8Ball. "Was thinking of going for a swim later, once I don't have to worry about dripping salt water around the campus. Buuuut... studies first." What's odd is even with the load she's carrying, she isn't even sweating, and she should be still shivering with how lightly dressed she is, even walking into the heated library. One would almost say she enjoyed the cold.
