  1. Today
  2. So the Doktor's plan is to fly up to one of the Sarcota, cling onto its neck/head, and use his "internalized electromagneti screwdriver" as an advanced MRI, to get a scan on the critter's brain, hopefully determining a] if they're of animal intelligence or have sapient thoughts, and b] what sort of stimuli they respond to/how to communicate with them. Game terms, this would be a Mind Reading and Super-Senses (Mental Awareness) effect, and maybe some Knowledge (Behavioral Sciences), Knowledge (Life Sciences), and/or Sense Motive rolls.
  3. Torpedo Lass II "Well, considering I've been starting to design different costumes for different missions... search and rescue... basic heroing... recreational... oceanographic research... stealth... I could come up with a drysuit design for ya. Also what's your weight in water? If all that tech makes you more an anchor than a cork, might design with neutral buoyancy in mind." She scratched her chin. "Did get my SCUBA certs before getting my powers. Made my life so much easier... helps I know what basic materials I need." "And yeah... I wager having even a small sub for two... might be a bit expensive. Outside my allowances that's for sure." She turned to Lawrence. "Unless your folks' previous escapades led them to confiscating a cute little sub for us... Certain Rev could look over the internals to make sure it still goes too."
  4. Yesterday
  5. Sure Starshot will go along - taking 10 (skill mastery) for a 20 pilot check.
  6. Sure. Could you roll an opposed power check vs 15 to wrench the windows open? (they are reinforced). Or extra effort we can waive that and you can just crack open a hole as you wish
  7. Okay, so we take the failure to require max calibration. What's the target for the roll? (The way I roll, I may be using the HP we just got. :p)
  8. GM Star Khan regarded the scene before them as he listened to Doktor Archeville's makeshift plan. "That seems the most viable plan at the moment." He responded in a agreement before flying as fast as he could down toward the Xeno to drop Starshot off to get the spacecraft airborne once more. Then the young Zultasian quickly climbed back up to where the Sarcota were starting to swarm towards the edge of the field of solar collection arrays. He took a moment to study the group as Starshot got the Xeno airborne, looking for the best means of trying to guide the somewhat chaotic swarm of massive creatures the direction they wanted them to go. "I will start with some low powered blasts on the Sarcota on the lower left side, trying to direct them inward and up. Starshot should use the Xeno to try and do the same on the right side. We need to keep them together and get them to want to depart the atmosphere back into space."
  9. Okay, sorry for letting this idle for so long. For my GM post, Star Khan is going to try Kn: Tactics to get an idea how to best try to "herd" the Sarcota: bad roll, but still a 22 @Supercape If Starshot is going to follow along with the ideas from Star Khan, give me a piloting check, otherwise, le me know what he might want to do. @Dr Archeville Doc, let me know what Archeville is planning to do.
  10. Okay, as Shift hits the Legion over near Visor and knocks her down, another duplicate appears. Getting the order back up for convenience. Round Four 26 Paper 3 HP (unharmed) 25 Stormcrow 6 HP (unharmed) 19 Shadowborne 2 HP (bruised 2) 18 Ghule 2 HP (injured 2) 16 Sureshot (unharmed, bound and helpless) 16 Multi-Girl 1 HP (bruised x2) 15 Legion (unharmed x4 / one near Visor staggered, dazed, prone / one near Ghule bruised 2 / one near Ghule, bruised x3, prone / one near Ghule bruised x3, prone / 1 near SC bruised 2, staggered, prone) 13 Shift 0 HP (injured 2) 10 Visor (bruised x2) 10 Star Khan (unharmed) 10 Mindfire (unharmed, -2 toughness drain (round 3), bound and helpless) 9 Nightscale 5 HP (bruised 2) Visor will shot an energy blast at Nightscale, hitting with a 28. So DC 26 toughness save for Nightscale @Nerdzul (don't forget your two bruises, and you have lots of HPs) Star Khan will move over to the Legion Shift just knocked down and try to knock her out, because of the +4 to hit for her now being prone, he will power attack -4 atk/+4 dam: He hits with a 27, DC 33 toughness save for Legion: 29!, so she only takes a bruise. Will wait to for Mindfire's action to see how Nightscale fairs on his toughness save.
  11. GRIMALKIN Inside, the shapeshifter winced, instantly aware of her misstep; what sounded charming in her head instead made the young girl wary. You're such a showoff, Lynn. Gotta go for the big entrance, even if it's not the best play. First impressions, and all that. Lynn nodded and sighed. "Yeah, I'm friends with your dad. And sometimes I try too hard." She gestured around with one hand, taking in all the bookshelves and vintage posters on the walls. "Welcome to my family's bookstore! Your dad tells me your quite the reader; what kind of books do you like to read?"
  12. As Aquaria ascended to the skies above the house, the stillness of the salt air hung around her. Up here, the desert was tranquil, save for the light night winds. She could still smell the salt rime clinging in the air, but in between the notes of filth from the polluted sea below. Even the smell of dead fish was not the great reward of a whalefall, but the noxious hint of a poisoned feast. A desecration that teased with notes of false promise, like a glass of water held on the other side of the prison bars. The rasp was so distant, she mistook it for the breeze. But soon, it was undeniable - a death rattle, like a corpse in reverse, slowly rearing back to life. Distant, and not growing louder, but definitely growing clearer... Inside the house, Nick Cimitiere and Artificer heard something different - the distant sound of police sirens. "Here I thought this place would be desolate..."
  13. Last week
  14. Is there any rooms nearby where she can smash the window and fly out of then?
  15. Gamma Buzz "Explosions! Wheee!" said Gamma Buzz, antennae alert. "I mean.. Explosions. They can be nasty, right? Like, dangerous nasty? I mean, what exploded, and what caused the explosion? And are we going to be dodging missiles and hopping over mines? this all sounds like some kinda world war 2 movie. You know, like the movies they show in the movie theatre." He trembled slightly. "It seemed much more fun in black and white and when it wasnt happening..." He straightened his back. "But its also an opportunity to be a hero, right? Like a superhero?" Invigorated by his decleration, he started hopping after Bernadette.
  16. About ten floors Although the way the tower is creaking, it could fall over at any moment
  17. Okay, @Avenger Assembled Patriot is up!
  18. My, my, how the tables have turned -- looks like it's time for Artificer to protect Justicar Vor'an! He's switching from Create Object to Illusion 10 (“holograms;” visual; PF: Progression 2 [25-ft. radius]), and filling the area with illusionary doubles of Artificer & Vor'an.
  19. Artificer Heroditus tried not to let Gaian Knight's and Moon-Moth's magics distract him, but the sheer power of the former and the alienness of the latter were hard to ignore. I really should speak with both of them, learn more about their abiiites. Were they learned, or innate? Or- His thoughts were interrupted as he saw Vor'an take a mighty blast from one of Dovox's Justicars! "No!" Heroditus' eyes went wide, and he darted towards the being who had protected him so much during this terrible battle. He landed next to Vor'an, shielding him from their assailtant, and withdrew two multifacted crystals from his bandolier. "Vor'an? Vor'an, are you with me?" He tried ot keep his voice calm and even, stamping down on the panic welling up within him, "I fear my shields will not fare well against a blast of that magnitude," he touched the rystals to each other, then held one between Vor'an and himself and held the other out before him, "but I should be able to give him some additional targets." Nearly two dozen Artificers and Vor'an's sprang into existence, filing a large section of the hangar. Would their foes be able to see through the Atlantean holograms? Artificer would hope not, but his mind was already racing to figure out a better solution to their predicament.
  20. "Woah." Michael said at both Parker and Carmen's actions, picking up his feet and walking towards his girlfriend while he clapped. "That was incredible! You're so cool Carmen!" He said as he jogged over towards her. "You really are a top class athlete, you know? You'd put pro athletes to shame."
  21. Michael was having fun with his new froggy friends, enjoying the brand new and unique situation he was in. But he had paid absolutely no attention to the approaching Atlantean ship, but now that others had pointed it out, he turned his attention to that, inclining his head to the side momentarily as he thought about it, then looked at his froggy friends again and smiled, giving them a thumbs up. "Sure! I'd love to go and greet them! Getting meet new cultures is good!" he said without fear, having fun just in how out there his current experience was; he wouldn't have been able to do this if he was still a normal kid and his horizons were eternally expanding. So how could he not be happy about that. "If that's okay with everyoen else, at least!"
  22. Michael gave Charlie a thumbs up to confirm that everything was good now as the conversation moved on. He wasn't going to worry about it anymore, at least. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Callie. I'll try not to harsh your vibe too much." He wasn't concerned, friends of Charlie were people he'd generally be positive to. He offered an indifferent hrm to the question of the Headmistress. "She's not that bad, but I've also not dealt with her too much. I'm hoping that changes next year; not in a negative way though. Junior year is already almost Senior year, and Senior year is almost graduation! i've got to make sure that my extracurriculars are all accounted for on transcripts." this was a lie. He'd actually started all that stuff earlier this year, of course. You could never be too prepared! "Anyway, if you'd rather us get out of your hair, we can respect it, I think I see Sam leaading the others out to dance, and we're not connected to the band after all." he said with a wink at Charlie. "I'd hate to cramp your style; how can you be the cool guy leaning against the pillars with that smirk on your face when someone's talking to you, you know." he said in good humor and fully expecting Charlie to rib him back. Meanwhile, Sam had commandeered part of the dance floor for the combined students of Claremont and North Bay. While Michael had taken a table by talking with club workers and putting down a deposit, Sam controlled her little fiefdom on the dance floor with toxic looks and a stance that made those who weren't welcome stay away. That section was for Claremont and North Bay, simple as, and in that section she was having fun with her dancing, even if she didn't even have anyone to dance with, she was going to have her own fun.
  23. Sea Devil stared goggle-eyed at the approaching Atlanteans, turned and looked back at her ululating tribe, then looked at the teen heroes and their adult escort, and then back at the approaching Atlanteans, her grip tightening on her trident. She didn't answer the boy asking about Atlanteans and Deep Ones, not wanting to get into the details of a war that stretched back before the beginning of recorded history, or for that matter her own part in it. "I - have an idea!" she said in a rumbling voice. "Some of you can fly. You should go say hello to the Atlanteans. Atlanteans are the friends of surface people," she added. "The rest of us can stay here and learn more about each other's cultures!" She called in a quick bellow to the tribe - "The Atlanteans are here again! But our strong friends will not let them hurt you!" This caused quite a to-and-fro of bellowing along the Deep Ones, which the others only incidentally understood. "<But I want to hurt them!>" called Bunzi from where she stood admiring Michael, a cry that was by no means unanimous but was taken up by more than one throat among the welcoming party. "<Will there be guts?>" whimpered the youngling Boal was carrying. "<I want some guts!>" Sea Devil struck her trident against the metal of the rig and said, "<No one is having any guts! We will spill no blood of theirs if they spill no blood of ours! That is my law! Do any of you want to challenge me?>" she demanded. No one did, though a few did scamper away down the sides of the rig, down to where the rest of the tribe waited. After the bellowing back and forth, a bit like being in the middle of a large room full of giant frogs and elephant seals, Aquaria added hopefully in English: "Everything will be fine! We are all heroes here, and learning from each other." She gave a big thumbs-up to Mrs. Harcourt, who looked around among the teens for a moment before she said, "Who wants to go with the diplomatic party, and who wants to stay here?"
  24. Is Esquire close enough for Neko to target with her Obscure?
  25. GM Gaian Knight easily shrugged off the attack from the four-armed alien, even as two other opponents made their way into the hanger as well. The first was a seven foot tall figure with a massive, muscular build. Moon-Moth recognized the figure as Uqruks, a Kovald heavy-worlder who had been another of the old Star Khan's bodyguard following the Incursion. Uqruks took a quick look around the hanger and then started forward towards the group of heroes gathered in the center of the hanger, readying a massive club as he did so. The other figure was another Justicar, who followed after Uqruks and leveled his power pike towards Justicar Vor'an. "It is time you learned the price for following the young pretender." He called out firing a blast of energy at Vor'an. The blast struck the young Justicar solidly, causing him to take a step back as he grunted in pain and clutched his side where the blast had hit. Vor'an seemed badly hurt, but not completely out of the fight yet.
