Meanwhile, outside, the situation did not look very good for the academy’s students. They were surrounded, with almost no way of getting back in. And, the people they were surrounded by were eager to remove threats one by one. As various ice-walls began to form around the gym, the teen wearing green bandages locked eyes with Chrome.

The teen took a step backwards, supporting all his weight with his feet. He raised both of his hands in front of his face, palms facing towards Chrome. Green light began to form in the palms, and Warren’s body already had begun to try and dodge, as the light disappeared, with the arms limp down the bandaged teen’s side, and him taking a few steps backwards, trying to regain his composure. He didn't look as threatening anymore, but his fingers moved again almost immediately, suggesting it was not an injury.

Chrome leapt to his feet, reveling for a moment in the power he felt in his legs, in his chest. Even getting blasted like that only sung like skinned knees, not like getting shot. Feeling wild, he charged straight at the man with the weird, glowing fingers. He attacked without finesse or tactics, just trying to knock him to the ground and missing by a fair margin. "You've got some good moves," he grunted, "but you sort of killed the dance. Probably should've just spiked the punch or something,  The hangover would hurt less."

Inside, Mammoth was almost insensible, but not quite.  His senses brought him news that was dutifully filed in his memory, but he wasn’t truly conscious.  What little awareness he had was focused on that inner voice, yammering at him in the Hrnau language…

…get up.  You aren’t that badly hurt.  You must act!  They will not wait for you!

He shook his head almost contemplatively, then harder, and pushed himself to a crouch, focusing his attention on the cybernetic girl.   How rude, he thought, then began to think of whether he should throw the table back or …

No.  Coming to grips would be better.  Someone was outside, probably needing help.  If the one inside could be stopped…  he didn’t yet know the word sortie, but that was on his mind.  Now if he could just communicate that to his allies.

Now if only he could get a running start…

The boy with the ice body, probably the leader from what could have been observed so far, looked a bit surprised by the fact the entrance had now been blocked. His face didn’t show it, seemingly being frozen in place. But his general body language proved that things weren’t quite going as planned. Of course, the bleachers hitting him on their way towards the entrance probably didn’t help that fact.

A chunk of ice had been taken out of his side, slowly melting on the ground next to him, while the part slowly regrew. The boy himself was squatting, holding himself upright with one of his arms.

The situation on the outside looked a lot better than the one inside, at least for the attackers, and even in his position, their leader did not hesitate with orders. He still spoke quietly and sounded relaxed, but there was some urgency in his voice.

“Large, remove it. C, continue. Hammer, speedster duty. Nacht, status? Stall if possible.”
