The insectoid draws a weapon and shoots at Queenie, hitting with a 27.  That is a DC 23 toughness save for Queenie. 

The tough alien will charge Seresk, who Paradigm dropped down, but misses with a 12. 

The Grue drones draw blaster pistols, opening fire at all the heroes not in melee (2 on Queenie, 3 on Paradigm and 3 on Magnetar): 19, 14. 8, 23, 24, 19, 22, 22.  Both miss Queenie, two hit Paradigm (her impervious stops) and three hit Magnetar, DC 20 toughness saves for him: 22, 27, 29, he makes them all just fine.


Seresk tries to hit the tough alien who attacked him, just missing with a 15.

Magnetar targets one of the Grue that shot him (Taking 10 to hit) and the Grue misses its save and is out. 

The five grunts open fire on Queenie and Magnetar (2/3): 6, 20, 6, 24, 13.  So Queenie is hit, but it glances off her impervious.  Magnetar is hit and gets a 22 on his toughness save and is fine.

Okay, the insect alien will try to use Mind Control on Seresk, who has a DC 18 will save, Seresk makes it with a 23. 

The big alien again tries to attack Seresk, missing with a 10. 

The four remaining Grue will all fire on Magnetar: 22, 7, 15, 14, so only one hit.  Magnetar gets a 30 on his toughness save and is fine. 

Seresk tries to hit the big alien in return, hitting with a 21 (DC 27 toughness save).  The big alien gets a 25, so takes a bruise.

Magnetar will take 10 to hit another Grue, it gets a 24 on its toughness save, but is still out. 

The other four aliens all fire on Magnetar, 24, 15, 12, 9, so one hit.  Magnetar gets a 21 on his toughness save, which is just good enough.

Okay, the Jaas will recover from being dazed (HP to Queenie) and try to Mind Control Magnetar (DC 18).  Magnetar gets a 21, so he is fine.

 

The tough alien attacks Seresk once more, this time hitting with a 20.  DC 29 toughness save for Seresk, he only gets a 20 so is bruised and dazed and knocked off his feet.

 

The two remaining Grue drones attack Magnetar, getting a 17 and 19, so one hit one miss.  Magnetar only gets a 16 on his toughness save, so he is bruised.

Magnetar will take a shot at another drone (again taking 10), the Grue only gets a 9, so it goes down.

 

The other four aliens all fire on Magnetar again, but they all miss

Well, would need some justification as to why it would be independent and fade like smokescreen.  Besides, 10 ranks covers a WAAAY bigger area than you need to, so you could go with less ranks of obscure and have some points for at least a low powered blast as part of the temp power.
