Okay, five pirates open fire on Moon-Moth with their blaster pistols, 19, 8, 6, 24, 13, so two hits and the rest missed.  Two DC 20 toughness saves for Moon-Moth.

Round Eight
28 Shell (bruised)
20 Pirate Pilots (1 in space)
20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP)
12 Pirate gunners
8 Tough pirates (4 on planet)
7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 1 HP)
5 Cavalier (bruised 2, 2 HP)
5 Pirates (many on planet)

Shell moves over and climbs up onto the rock near Moon-Moth. 

The remaining pirate interceptor will attack Cav again, missing with a 15.

 

Moon-Moth is up!  (assuming he makes his toughness saves and/or does not need to spend a HP to recover any daze).

Save the first! 1d20+15=30

 

And

 

Save the second, 1d20+15=24

 

Moon-moth will  manuver to the optimal firing angle and then stunt

 

Damage 10("Silver shard storm"; Magic; Extras: Area (Cone, Targeted), Autofire PFs: Accurate 2 (+4)) Progression, increase area 6 (x 500; 50,000ft Cone) Precise, Incurable

 

1d20+10=15

 

Not great but OK for now.

 

And make contact with the praetorians in orbit to let them know how things are going.

 

Diplomacy by other means begins!

Okay, you are likely only going to want to use a rank or two of progression (to avoid blasting stuff almost 10 miles out!).  That just hits the normal pirates, but actually misses the larger ones that threw the rocks at you.

 

The 10 regular pirates you catch in the blast all miss their toughness saves and are out.

Okay, that will disable to the last interceptor, which means that all the threats in space have been more or less neutralized.  Of course, there are all the pirates aboard the capital ship, but remains to be seen if they are still willing to be belligerent. 

The pirates on the ground continue to fight for the moment, a number shooting at Moon-Moth 16, 9, 24 and 16, so one hit, DC 20 toughness save for him.

8 Tough pirates (4 on planet)

Shell will attack the tough pirate that came at her, hitting with a 21.  The pirate gets a 17 on its toughness save, so is bruised and dazed.

Okay, some more pirates keep shooting at Moon-Moth, and get: 9, 9, 12, 23, so one hit (DC 20 Toughness save). 

Four also shoot at Shell, 17, 9, 24, 9, one hit there as well.  Shell gets a 16, so another bruise. 

Some of the other mercenaries counter attack, taking down some pirates and drawing others attention.

28 Shell (bruised 2)
20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP)
8 Tough pirates (4 on planet, one bruised 2)
7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 0 HP)
5 Cavalier (bruised 2, 2 HP)

Shell drops down to deal with the tough pirate she already hurt, scoring a critical hit.  The pirate gets a 26 on his toughness, so is only bruised again.


Moon-Moth is up!
