"Coral Snake!"  Trawler called out angrily.  Spinning around with haste the claw like protrusion on the armor clinched around Glamazon.  Rather than squeezing to try and crush the Atlantean, a blue arc of electricity surged outwards.  Sending a high voltage current throughout the statuesque princess.  Thaelia screamed out in pain.  Slowly the tone of the screams began to change in intensity.  No longer wailing in pain, the Glamazon's roars had turned threatening.

Pure furor allowing the demigodess to hold her ground, before finally biting down on her lip so not a sound would escape. Glaring at Trawler the entire time util the electricity finally died down.  Trawler's armored head moved to examine her ally who was ensnared in the long slimy tongue of the strange sea creature.  Taking a second to appreciate how undesirable their position had quickly turned.  "Hey...Coral Snake.  When was the last time I told you, I hate your plans?"

Glamazon broke free from Trawler's electrical gasp.  Pushing the machine away with little effort.  Both princesses swam in at  the same time not a single word spoken between the two.    They began circling around Trawler swimming around the battlesuit in opposite directions.  Every so often one of the princesses  would strike.  "Gently" tapping Trawler with blindly speed.  Annoying her as she waved her mechanical arms to try and grasp hold of one.  Their motions were in sync, the maneuver was standard Atlantean military fare.

The moment Trawler swung incredibly wide, Nereid dove in for the kill.  Once again diving in like a torpedo she attempted do dig the heel of her foot into the center of Trawler's armor.  But the smuggler was too quick to react.  Her mechanical claw grasping hold of Nereid in mid motion.  Unfortunately for Trawler, Nereid wasn't the only one who had seen the opportunity presented.  Glamazon simultaneously came in from above.  Thrusting her palm into the top of Trawler's helmet she brought the bulky armor crashing headfirst into the floor of the temple.

The floor cracked under the weight of the force exerted from above.  When the smoke cleared Glamazon and Nereid defiantly loomed over Trawler.

Despite her serum-granted immunity to venom, getting chomped on by an enormous snake monster hurt! Jessie flinched hard enough that it couldn't get a good grip on her and managed to slide out of its jaws without making any noise, but it took a second for her to get her wits about her again. Aquaria chose that moment to join the fight, much to Jessie's relief. With her friend leading the way and holding the snake still, Jessie had no problem moving in with great confidence and delivering a one-two punch to the back of the snake's head that left it thoroughly unconscious.

"So was that it?" she asked, looking around. The whole temple still looked very sketchy to her, but she kind of thought Aquaria might be upset if they tried tearing it down or something. Maybe it was just old and creepy. "Are we done?"

Glamazon stepped forward reaching for the golden orb Coral Snake and Trawler had discussed.  It had strange runes etched inside.  Even if her Lemurian were any good, it wasn't, the markings would still be indecipherable as Aquaria could easily tell they were not Lemurian in origin.  "Many people were injured over this small trinket?"  The Atlantean princess palmed the orb to no effect.  Leaving her quite puzzled.

"They did say they were going to tear down this place and move it.  Assuming there are no explosions set, we may have acted with an unexpected swiftness.  Hm.  Here come the surfacers."  Nereid added while pointing at the entrance.  The soldiers whom had accompanied the quartet were slowly approaching in wetsuits.  They were armed with underwater pistols.  Apparently convinced that they would be of some assistance in rounding up the criminals.

Aquaria disengaged from the unconscious Serpent Person as soon as the battle was over, snapping her tongue back into her mouth as she tasted the essence of Coral Snake against her teeth. It was not a pleasant flavor. At the sight of the alien trinket all the fighting had been over, she gave a soft, basso sigh. "Is that all it was? What all this was for? It's not Lemurian." She twisted her torso back and forth in an approximation of a human shaking its head. "We find things, sometimes," she croaked quietly, looking up at the ceiling of the chamber. "From Atlantis, or from the Surface, sent to us by the tides. That must be how it came to be here in the first place." Her shoulders slumped more at the sight of the arriving Surfacers, and she looked away from the Atlanteans. "We shouldn't...we shouldn't stay long. The shrine has been..." She looked back at the fallen Serpent Person and went on, "...defiled enough. There's nothing you people need here.

Glamazon clutched the orb tightly before lobbing it somewhat gently in Aquaria's direction.  Taking another moment to examine the militant surfacers coming to aid them.  No doubt ensuring the need for a proper request of extradition for Trawler by the king.  "You are correct.  There is nothing for us here."  She began drifting away.  Stopping soon to find herself at a loss for words.  "I...you two did good work today."

A serpent person who can turn to stone.  A Deep One who helps people.  I would not believe such a tall tale myself, had I not seen it in person...Does Erin also fight so wildly?

Not stopping to hear their reactions, let alone catch the smile on Nereid's face, Glamazon sped off at full speed.  Shooting out of the cave with ridiculous force.  <"Lady Wainwright certainly has a good eye.">  Nereid added in Atlantean before winking.  The comment obviously meant for Aquaria.  The woman who would be queen disappeared after making her remark, her body blending into the water.  Not leaving any time for Aquaria's refined senses to catch a trace of her, Nereid followed after her cousin with a similar burst of speed.

With the assistance of Jessie and Aquaria the coast guard was able to lift Trawler's heavy battlesuit on to their boat.  Coral snake didn't actually require assistance to drag on board.  But, no one dared to question the amphibian woman who chose to personally ensure that the Serpent One was transferred to the vehicle.  The boat ride to shore was relatively quiet, with the exception of a young coast guard seaman almost screaming when the unconscious Coral Snake shed her skin revealing the appearance of a woman once more.

"Thank you both kindly ma'ams."  The naval officer told Jessie and Aquaria upon dropping them on land.  "With any luck, the justice system will have these two inside Blackstone before the week is over.  If you need anything, don't hesitate to call."  At the closing of his statement he handed Jessie a sticky note with his phone number.  Returning to the ship bound for Lonely Point right after.  Clearly not wanting to give his captives too long to regain consciousness.

"Sir, is she a snake person or a person person?"  One of the seamen asked Captain Steeley.  Obviously referring to Coral Snake.  "Mixed Breed actually, half human heiress to Orphis Shipping.  Half Serpent Person.  All useless.  Watch out for that bite though, turns a man to stone in seconds."  Gil's tone sharpening as he went along with his explanation.

"Wait how do yo-"

*BANG* *BANG*  *BANG*

Bullet after bullet found themselves striking a different member of the coast guard.  Until the ship's crew was no more than a pile of bodies lining the floor.  "You can stop pretending to be asleep now.  I noticed there wasn't any treasure inside those ruins.  You're plum lucky these guys are so green they didn't even think to get photo identification that I wasn't my dearly departed dad.  Or else we'd be having this conversation through a set of bars."

"The orb has a key inside.  One of three, Brad."

"And how does that help the Trident without your precious key?"

"Children!"  Trawler called out.  "We'll discuss our next course of action when we get back to the Sea Serpent."
