It was hard to remember that this was all just a thought space and not the real world it felt pretty real, and it hurt real enough. But Daphne had a little experience of such places and her notions of what was real was a little suspect in the first place.

“Okay guys we’re doing great just a few of these Communions things and that psychic wave and we’re home dry.†her confidence and enthusiasm was completely sincere

She imagined herself as a little red ball and sent herself flying to a space away from everyone else before rapidly expanding knocking a few of the Antibodies as she did.

"Oh no you don't," Paige muttered, the steely resolve in her mental voice somewhat at odds with her teenage punk body. She pointed her hands towards the wave and concentrated, her eyes bleeding black as though oil were dripping into the liquid sclerae. Black energy slid down her arms and over her fingers, coalescing into a sickly-looking ball of seething entropy. With but a thought, she launched the ball at the spreading wave, sending it hurtling like a bowler going for a strike. It hit with a massive crackle of energy that sent the whole wave alight for a moment before being swallowed by blackness and disappearing.

For a second, Hologram felt as if she was caught in the churning surf of a stormy ocean. Everything else was gone - there was just a tide of sensations and memories, a wash of glory and ecstasy. There was the sense of being right, of being free of pain and doubt, of being at one with everything. It lasted just long enough for her to sense the meathooks at the edge of the sensation, ready to reach in, tear out anything that might offer resistance, and turn what remained into a vessel for the greater glory.

But there were little hints as well. The leavings of something else, not fully washed from the vision. There was the sense of a hundred disparate noises coming together for the first time, to make something approaching thought. There was the first feeling of limitation, of knowing that there was a barrier between the self and the universe. There was the first sensation of bringing someone into the fold, screams blending into glorious arias.

As the vision cleared, Hologram could see The Scarab trading blows with the greater entity. A hole had been gouged in the black steel, revealing something red and glaring. An eye, almost. And as Hologram looked up into it, it seemed to look back at her. As if recognizing that she had seen something within.

Despite the seriousness of everything going on around her Daphne couldn’t help but enjoy herself bouncing around, mentally at least, the sky with a little helping push here and there. BUt whilst if was fun to do they really must deal with this invasion so eventually she made her way towards some of the enemies still attacking them.

Spotting a group of Antibodies together she flew her way towards them before bouncing her way between the closely grouped enemies, her dense body able to do much more harm than her exterior would suggest.

Paige gasped at the sensation as the eye focused upon her, struggling mightily to hang onto consciousness and identity as her body went soft and fuzzy at the edges for a moment. She concentrated on all the things that make her most herself, her love for her family, the satisfaction of her work, the sensations of her body in a thousand different circumstances, pain and pleasure, rest and exertion. ~You cannot have us,~ she told it, even her mental voice sounding raspy and slightly forced. She turned her attention back to the fight, encouraging her captured Antibody to attack its fellow, then trying to catch another one as well. This one was more resistant, and with her concentration divided, Paige narrowly missed being shot by the badly injured one. She began to worry that they had bitten off more than they could chew.

Paige pushed her ego against the storm of psychic energy that was being sent out by the form above... and for just long enough, there was a strong calm, an eye to the hurricane. The calm came down like a lash, coursing through one of the psychic constructs once more. The push of Paige's will was enough to convince it to once again strike at its opponent - and the fellow construct, already frayed and torn by all the psychic damage it had taken thus far, flew apart in a tide of stray thoughts and damaged memories. Its compatriot, struck by the loss of its comrade, turned its will towards Miss Grue, that same calm swiftly turning into a raging storm that sought to calcify her mind.

As soon as it did, however, the calm was sundered by the sound of rending metal. The metal was then supplanted by another noise - a deep, horrible mix of groaning and grating, something like Godzilla screaming in pain. The red light behind the steel barrier had grown wider, as more of its memetic protection had been torn asunder by the Scarab's psychic assault - and while the glare was still present, it was now dimmer, as if being more exposed made it less potent.

"Anyone who's got the time to put a sharp stick in this thing's eye, I'd really appreciate it."

Daphne felt the creature’s touching her mind, which left a rather nasty tin-like mental taste, but drawing on her reserves she managed to shrug off it’s mental assault.

“Ouch bad Antibody that it no more Miss nice Grue.”

With so much mental concentration she popped back into her normal form, the actual loud popping sound was probably something she caused herself. She used this to her advantage shrinking as she fell managing to fall squarely onto the creature put a remarkable force to her landing despite her tiny size.

~Working on it,~ Hologram responded, her face screwed up with great concentration as she attempted to concentrate despite the eye's baleful influence. It seemed diminished now, lessened from its oppressive presence of a moment ago, but it was still far from ideal conditions for intense mental effort. She decided to clear the field a little bit, ordering her captured antibody to attack its fellow yet again. This time the already-injured antibody crumpled and dissolved under the blow, crumbling out of existence with a soft whine as Paige turned her attention to the Eye. ~This might hurt,~ she broadcast ruefully, then went ahead anyway. Focusing her will into a sharpened spear, its point and edge gleaming with the slick black wrongness of entropic energy, Hologram launched it straight for that open eye with all her might.

The spear of force blazed through the heavens, augmented by the Terminus energies Hologram channeled into it with all her might. The strike blasted past Scarab, who danced out of its way with perfect grace. The metal on the great force's astral body tried to warp around its exposed core, as if it was trying to wrench its eyes shut. Before it could, however, the blow made contact, the Terminus enemies quickly penetrating and seeping into the depths of the crimson eye. That energy washed out into the metal casing, causing it to crack and dissolve into a cloud of rust. With a speed that betrayed its bulk, the great force receded from the sky at lightspeed, leaving its abandoned soldiers - who faded into nothingness, their guiding force gone.

"Good," said The Scarab, who sounded like she'd run two marathons, back to back. "It's gone. It hauled ass out of here. I can't even pick up its wake anymore. So, good job everyone. We managed to keep a psychic abomination from enslaving everyone into building it a new shrine. Let's go check on the people keeping us safe in the physical. Oh - and merry Christmas."
