  1. Rebound will be in it. Set at St. George's Cathedral, in Midtown. Any bracket is fine. Should be some action, unless a PC rolls amazing early on. Conceit is Benny is out, and goes to the church and then things happen. He is not especially inviting anyone along. Gonna limit this to 4, including Benny, there can be some discussion for fits after the initial post to set tone.
  2. recruiting for a preferably lowish PL (7-10) primarily investigative thread. PL less important than fit for the hooks. Preference for those not directly involved in the supernatural. Viral sensation Ghost Tracers have come to Freedom and are releasing a tour of Haunted freedom. But something sinister may lurk beneath the campy facade. Hooks: 'Extremely Online' types would know Ghost Tracers as a recent viral sensation that seems to always turn up seemingly solid evidence of haunting. Is it a scam? Camera tricks? Do you want to prove them to be hoaxes or jest get on camera? Characters that have lost a loved one(likely in Freedom) might glimpse something in a video, or trailer that looks like evidence of their spirit. True Believer; A fan of the series that believes in the afterlife/ghosts/the supernatural WITHOUT having first hand experience.
  3. Looking for 2-3 PL 7 or 8 PCs to handle gang violence in the Fens. Preference given to PC's in the range with a connection to the area and/or would patrol near there in daylight hours.
  4. Idea: Some part of town gets turned into a cartoon. A Looney Tunes cartoon. You don't want to be a cartoon forever, do you? So you have to find the reason. Caveat! You cannot leave the area. Anyone who enters the area is cartoonized and cannot leave the area. You are now a cartoonish version of your character. Powers (like normal) are harmless, but not subtle at all. They have a cartoonish tint to them. Use superstrength? you grow huge muscles! Use flight? Wings. Use heat vision or cold breath? the visual will come out as something fitted to the descriptor. Also, if someone gets knocked out, they can recover quicker. Not instantly (unless it's appropriate to the character and/or funny). I'd want a small group. Two or three at most. Anyone interested?
  5. Jon Legrand is a private detective, but he also moonlights as Mindjumper. Lives in the downtown area, but me being new, I will not say no to other areas around town. I suggest something investigative. Social aspect is fine too. He's not one for chatter, but then again, this is a social game, so he shall chatter Combat is a thing too. Or mix all three into one big bowl and do something with it.
  6. Now that Brigandine's back in the game I'm looking to start a story with her. Couple of PL 7/8s investigating some of Bedlam's urban legends. Who's up?
  7. As many know, when Guardians of the Galaxy came out we sought to develop more of the outer space setting for the site, launching a major, mostly space focused event and seeking to encourage space based characters. While there have continued to be space based threads since, this part of the site has not been as big of a focus as it could have been. The Ref team and guides have recently identified parts of the setting that are in need of some additional support to help get going to a point that they can be more self-sustaining (such as the core Freedom City generally is), with Refs and guides volunteering to provide extra focus on specific areas. Gizmo and I are the Refs that have chosen Space as our focus, and are committing to running at least one thread per month set in Space. Electra will be helping update Guidebook pages for relevant characters, places and events in Space, and to be another source of answers to any questions regarding details of the site’s Space setting (and particularly how it might differ from what is in the Green Ronin books). To that end, we are looking for interest from players for the following: 1) “Guest Stars”: We will be providing opportunities for Earth-Based PCs to have adventures in space and meet some of the space-based PCs. This is made easier thanks to the wormhole left at the edge of Earth’s solar system after the Incursion event. If you have a character you’d like to see have an adventure in space or have ideas about that story, let us know here! Along these lines, we are currently planning on having PCs associated with the Freedom League rotating as representatives of the League and Earth on CoVic Station, the hub location for space adventures (and also near a wormhole connected to the one in Earth’s solar system). If you’re a player with such a character and have any thoughts on that, feel free to pipe up! 2) Space based characters: Increased activity for space-based adventures means increased support for space-based characters! If you’re considering making a space-based PC, here are some possible avenues to pursue: The Praetorians The Praetorians are always looking for new - or “old” - members. This is a good option for newer players in particular as being part of an existing team will make it easier to find threads to be involved with. The Praetorians have been one of my main projects in the last two years and are a combination of the Legion of Superheroes and the Shi’ar Imperial Guard. They are generally a more traditional superhero team, just set in space… and primarily filled with aliens as opposed to humans! Star Knights: After suffering heavy losses during the Incursion event, the Star Knights have been recruiting. While there are already Star Knights assigned to Earth there are plenty of alien systems that could use an armored hero! This is a good option for players who want a ready-made concept with strong ties to the setting. The Voidrunners and the Eclipse crew These two starship crews of roguish heroes are comparable to the Guardians of the Galaxy or Star Wars bounty hunters. While they may not be looking for new members a run-in with either group would be a good way to introduce a new space-based PC. Form a new team or crew: Space is big! There is a lot of room in space for new teams to be formed if a group of players making new space heroes wanted to create one of their own. This could be a starship crew or a group of heroes from an interstellar culture like the Lor Republic, Khanate worlds or Grue individuality. Independent Space hero: Of course, not everyone needs to be part of a team! This may be an especially good option for a more powerful, cosmic character in the vein of the Silver Surfer or Nova Prime. One of our goals is to provide opportunities for that sort of higher PL play if there are players interested in it! So, let us know what may be of interest and what questions you might have!
  8. Aay, It's-a me, Sailor! And I got an idea for a thread to run! And strangely enough it won't involve any of my characters, it's purely for you guys. I'm looking for 2-3 Detectivey sort of characters who don't mind a little fisticuffs on the side to solve a crime most foul in the back-alleys of the Boardwalk! So... who is up to solving a crime?
  9. So this is not excluding other characters, and I've tacitly gotten two in the fray for this. But the overview is thus: Something comes, seeking new supplicants/apprentices/whatevs. Most importantly it would seek out those with a magical aptitude for this. And send an agent to secure the prizes. I admit there is a bit of a horror bent, with the things being of the Fae/Other variety, and a little alien. There will be combat and mystery and all of that.
  10. I'm thinking of a interesting little adventure on the dwarf planet Eris... a little bit of chaos as it were, and Seahawk will be one of the participants... but I don't want to hog the spotlight so I thought perhaps having a one or two other brave astronauts could join her... Pretty much looking for PL10-12 characters, Spaceworthiness or life support a must, although suits for the adventure will be provided... note it's the equipment type, so the risk you take on is your own there. The point of the trip to Eris is purely Seahawk wanting to get away from it all, and it turns into a scientific expedition. A working holiday... lucky her. But this will get exiting for all involved! So... who else has the taste for going to the final frontier?
