  1. Fight it is! 24 for initiative How is the cybercombat going to work, mechanically. In RW I reckon Haven would do a Taser fist punch, but are his powers active here?
  2. Gamma Buzz "Stay together, right!" agreed Baz, putting a cockroach plated thumb up and nodding. "Don't split the party, am I right?" He shuddered. "This all feels super spooksy to me. I mean, obviously I am completely brave and fearless, but if I wasnn't this whole cave leading into alternate reality thing would be super spooky." He shuddered again. "If we were brought here for a purpose... then we need to find out what that purpose is, I think. Otherwise the thing that had a purpose might decide we have no purpose and gobble us up into a black hole of utter destruction and despair. Or something..." He gazed at the city. "On the other hand, this does look like a pretty cool place, huh? Do they have anti gravity skateboards?"
  3. A few wobbles, but we can say that whilst a bit anarchic, you can bust up the Nazi scientists with that - although it makes a lot of noise!
  4. GM The pathway to the tower was dangerous - Cerebellum and Golden Star could see that. But there was also a path through. Many patrols, but predictable controls. In the end, they had managed to get to the base of the tower unseen, either by the patrols or the sentries above them. The tower itself was made of reinforced concrete. Quite enough to repel any small arms fire, and resilient enough to stand up to the odd shell. Both Golden Star and Cerebellum could punch they way through - but that would be noisy, slow. And possibly dangerous. The tower was architecturally flawed, that was for sure. An explosive in the wrong place might well bring the whole thing crashing down. The door to the tower was Iron. With a large lock. A possibly pickable lock. Every 15 minutes, the door opened from the inside to let out another patrol of ten men or a tank (it alternated). A regimented routine, almost as if it was computerised!
  5. ooof! Well thats enough to at least identify electro shock weapons (pistol, rifle, machine gun). Anything else falls under "pot luck"!
  6. GM In the tower laboratory Rack upon rack of weapons, row upon row of test tubes, all (possibly predictably) filled with bright coloured liquids. Reds, yellows, blues, but especially greens. Lurid, poisonous, toxic greens that look like they could turn normal Nazi soldiers into raging mutant Nazi super soldiers. Fortunately, none of the scientists noted the stealthy Cerebral. There were just so many corners and tables to hide behind! The weapons rack was full of all sorts of strange devices that all looked like they had come from a 70s sci fi serial. Clearly, General Sparks was developing lightning bolt weapons; of this, there were plenty from small handguns to large gatling guns, and everything in between. But there were other weapons, of bizzare look and no doubt bizzare function... plenty for a stealthy hero to nab!
  7. OK Lets check that against the rather feeble scientists notice of +2 https://orokos.com/roll/1007306 12, so no probs! Could you throw me a knowledge (Tech) roll DC 15, untrained is fine
  8. Gamma Buzz "You are not match for us!" yelled Baltazar. "Gamma Buzz, baby!" He backflipped and jumped, ending up on the ceiling, like a cockroach crawling along a wall. He gave a cheesy grin. "Lets get 'em, team! We can split the work and credit. You do the work, I take the credit! Whoops, did I say that out loud?" he added, winking at his two team mates. With a mighty inhilation, his antenna quivering in radioactive anticipation, he proceeded to blow out a stream of gamma-glowing-green particles, catching as many of the "experimental soldiers" as he could!
  9. Gamma will try to do a move action to flip somewhere (the ceiling?) and then Atomic breath the experimental soldiers (Cone Area effect, Damage 8 Fort Save)
  10. If Predator lets Echohead mimic the brain... 8 Points - Boosting INT to 24 (+7) - giving Echohead +4 to all INT based skills 5 Points - Copying all skills except Concentration and NOtice (which Echohead has already). That should all be the same bonuses except for Acrobatics which would be 4 (+5) 2 Point - Copying Feats: Skill Mastery, Inventor Hopefully that will help
  11. Echohead "C-concerning, y-yes..." blubbered Echohead. "T-terrifying, more accurately." He pulled himself together. "These are perfect copies, down to the fibres of their clothes. And they disrupt electronics? And infect those who touch them? I mean... this is a potential pandemic? Don't we need to call the WHO? or WEST?" He turned to Predator. "What do you think?" He gulped. "Or more precisely, could I borrow your brain a bit?" he tapped his own shiny scalp. "You know more about science thingies than me, I am sure..."
  12. Ooopsie! Corrected! And depending on what people are doing and your judgement, feel free to make stealth rolls (or things like knowledge - tactics)
  13. GM Stuff was happening, that was for sure. The cellar was relatively sound proofed - presumably to muffle the cries of agony from any "interrogations" being performed. But the pipes transmitted noises very well. Gurglings. Splashings. Hissings. The sound of popping bolts and rattling metal. There was no doubt, the factory was undergoing some radical plumbing. Perhaps too radical. Water started flowing down the stairs from the factory floor. Hardly a tsunami (unless Tsunami wished it to be, of course), but in five, maybe ten minutes, then would be floating up their necks in water. Another few minutes and the water would reach the ceiling. It did not need amazing water supersenses to note the water was not clean, smelled funny, and would cause skin irritation. Whatever chemicals Mr Silk used in his operation - he was clearly not minded to prioritise health and safety! On a positive note, Mr Silk seemed quite boyouant. His extraordinary weight would be easier to move when floating.
  14. Gamma Buzz "Too many.. too many..." muttered Gamma Buzz, his insect eyes darting around, trying to keep track of all of the enemy. He could punch them out, one by one, but that would take too long. They were a swarm, a swarm of horrible insects. And everyone hated insects, didn't they. He gulped. Well, he needed to see what these monsters were made of! He jumped onto a tree, perching on a thick branch, looked up, and inhaled. VWHOOOOOMMMM! Came the singing burst of radiation - a mighty exhalation of supercharged Gamma Buzz particles, sparkling green, enveloping as many of the drones as he could manage!
  15. Sorry for holding this up! (The dreaded Wednesday is partly to blame!) Baz is going to take a bit of (in his mind) gamble and release Atomic Breath! Its a Damage 8 Cone effect, with Fort Save. Lets see if these drones have a fort immunity or not! His move action will be to set up the cone so he can get as many as possible in the effect.
  16. GM The tower was a mile away, and was half that in height. Anyone with even a smattering of architectural or engineering training would have laughed at the structure; it would have - normally - fallen over with a light breeze. Perhaps there was no breeze in this digital world, or perhaps it was held together with magic. But it still looked precarious. Golden Star and Cortex had two problems with the approach; Firstly, there were tanks and patrols milling about. On close study, they looked predictable in route, but they still represented eyes and bullets. There were plenty of ruined buildings to sneak about in, but a misstep might bring an army on them. Secondly, the tower itself was bristling with machine guns and observation posts. And at the very tip, they could seem so outlandish science-fiction weapon on a turret.
  17. GM In the tower of bolts... Everything here was concrete and blocky. Suspiciously blocky, as if someone had constructed it out of building blocks. Or it was designed to be run on an old gaming system... Blocks that served no purpose other than for stealthy characters to hide, needless passageways, always ninety degree angles to everything. Patrols of quasi-nasi's with rifles marching, goosestep, in entirely predictable patterns, and barking occasional but repetitive statements. There were lots of them, but the predictable patrol patterns and blocky blocks were a great aide as Cortex slowly went down the tower. One oddity thought, it seemed to be designed for players to go up, rather than down. Halfway up/down the tower, she came to a laboratory. Evil nazi scientists with scraps of grey hair protuding from shiny bald scalps, white coats with flecks of blood, thick glasses. Four of them, milling around an engineering station that had "WEAPON RESEARCH" on its door.
  18. Sorry for midweek delay (my job is intense midweek!) Anyway we can wave away that staggered with an HP and the narrative of the health potion! ALso enough time for Cortex to recover. Cerebral - UNharmed 2 HP Cerebellum - Unharmed Golden Star - 1 HP
  19. Echohead will aid other to help Predator Getting 24 With the teamwork 3 feat, that gives Predator a whopping +6 bonus
  20. GM In the Tower of Bolts! The iron door slammed behind Cerebral, cutting of General Sparks roar of fury "Insolence! You will now face the mighteous might of the mighty General Sparks! My powers are shocking! You will offer no resistance! Watt can you do? The current situation is to my advantage!" Clearly General Sparks did not have a very good speech writer. But a very good bad pun writer. The Iron door slammed shut, clicking into a locked position. It could be opened from the outside, but not from the inside! General Sparks was a prisoner in his own prison! The tower itself was twenty stories, and had stairs and lifts to every level. the scuttling minions of General Sparks scuttled around. Some soldiers, a few boffins in white coats...
  21. Stealth for the win! Cortex/Ceberellum- Bruised - 2 HP Golden Star - Staggered - 2 HP
  22. GM The Ringmistress smiled... a nuanced, cunning smile. But at the same time, her eyes were damp. Her make up was old, already smudged and cracked. It was running. Just a little. "You interest me, Tattered man..." she started. A little shuffle forward. "You are something between a devil and an angel. A bit of both. A rag, tossed in the winds of fortune. Broken? I know broken..." She tentatively reached out a hand. "Come with me. Together we can tear down this filthy city. Maybe build something good on its broken remains? What say you?" The whip flickered, just a little. "Are you not... tempted?" A half smile. "You want to destroy, don't you? Come let us destroy. Whatever you wish. I could be a hero, a demon, and both. By your side. Or I can set my beasts on you. And tear you apart, like the tattered rag you are. That would be... sad...." in the cages to the side - the Tattered Man could see a panther, a bear, and even an elephant. Maybe more elsewhere... probably some horses. And two dark green barrels, sealed, filled to the brim with that ape-making fluid!
  23. GM "Threats? No.. at least.. well..." Lyong shrugged. "I mean, we get crackpots all the time. They saw some glow in the attic, or some mutant cow. When we, ah, screen the crank calls out, some of our customers get angry. We have had to work with local police and mental health services a lot..." She didn't look happy at that part of her job. "So yeah, we get crank threats to us, and Director North, all the time. But nothing out of the ordinary recently. As for what he was working on, apparently some new drug, called Synthetic, was developed in Alaska. Hit the streets. Dangerous - massively boosted your metabolism, but then the user gets so hot they set themselves on fire. Or explode, sometimes..." She shuddered. "Normally just another drug. But Synthetic seemed to be potentially a biological weapon, or at least a drug that could cause massive disruption and death. For a few minutes, the user gets super strong and fast. So... yeah, North was investigating. He was a bit secretive about Synthetic, but he always is secretive. And stressed, to be honest..."
