  1. The detective at the front door eyed Waverider cautiously weighing if she could trust her. She stepped outside the house and closed the door behind her, joining Waverider on the front step. She was a strongly built woman of northern European heritage wearing the standard issue dark blue uniform, her badge and radio hung off the shoulders of her bullet proof vest and a pair of dark aviators were tucked into the vest covering the letter “o” in the white “Police” printed on her front. “I’m Detective Sergeant Veras of Freedom City PD.” Veras faced Waverider so she could read her lips clearly. Waverider realized she took longer to pronounce parts of certain words, a mark of a southern accent. Her grip tightened on her dark blue peaked cap. “Some creature came out of the sewers and grabbed the child through the window here.” Veras used her peak cap to motion to the hole in the window. “Crawled back down there with him.” She then motioned to the open sewer grate that was enclosed in yellow tape. “You understand me?” She slid the peaked cap over her closely cropped blond hair and put her hands on her hips.
  2. ArchAngel is going to use move object to push one of Miss Sands security into the other.
  3. This is bad! ArchAngel looked around her, the faces of the crowd were twisted into masks of rage. She could sense Miss Sands being cornered by her two now infuriated bouncers. She did not have to rely on her danger sense or psychic awareness to know that she was in trouble, her mental defenses would have protected her from the DJ’s music and that made her a target. “Righteous!” ArchAngel levitated out of the crowd quickly and flew over their heads towards Miss Sands, she furrowed her brow and focused on one of the bouncers. She was going to try and make him go flying into the other, hopefully taking two birds out with one stone.
  4. Initiative: 1d20 2 Willsave: 1d20+10 23 I'm going to post tomorrow!
  5. A robot! ArchAngel was shocked, the DJ looked so life like. She tightened her fists and was tempted to send him flying through a wall. This must be the troll! She did not send him flying, she realized she did not have all the pieces to this puzzle. She did not understand what he was after just yet or if anyone else was working with him. Where was Hyperactive? She mused. She kept her disguise up and stayed with one half of the crowd as they parted leaving a walkway to the stage for Miss Sands. She decided to warn her. “I am ArchAngel, I’m here to protect you. Do not approach the stage. You need to shut down the party and get all of your guests out.” She sent a telepathic message to Miss Sands, she hoped it would work. Her primary goal was to avoid any innocent casualties.
  6. There was a small crowd forming on the other side of the street, they were being interviewed en mass by the two police officers who passed by Waverider earlier. There was another police car in front of the house Waverider was knocking on the door of. There was a large broken window leading into this home’s living room to the left of Waverider, the edges of the glass were marked with a black slime. There was a trail of ooze leading from the broken window to an open manhole cover enclosed by yellow police tape in the centre of the street. Waverider could see into the home using her tactile senses. One detective was interviewing a sobbing woman while another paced talking on a cell phone. When Waverider knocked the three people inside stopped moving and the detective who was on her cell phone came to the front door. She swung it open and looked at Waverider, taking her in, costume and all, before reading the held note. “Waverider? I’ve never heard of you.” She said, eyeing the Claremont student with some curiosity. The detective didn’t carry herself defensively, she was probably used to working with costumed heroes.
  7. May 11 Wednesday 2017 7:15 PM Bayview, Freedom City The sun was setting on Freedom City, but it was the Bayview waterfront that received particular attention. The warm red glow of the sun was reflecting off of the tranquil ocean surface, it basked the rising residences and streets in restful splendor. This peaceful illumination was matched by an unusual heat for spring, it felt like an early summer to most. The unusually warm evening was made pleasant by a warm breeze, that lofted up from the ocean and took the smells of late dinners out from the open windows of Bayview dining rooms and into the street. Naomi found herself on foot taking a set of streets she’d hardly been down back to Claremont. The usual towering opulent houses had given way to rows of smaller homes, cute yards with waist high fences and rectangular backyards filled with children toys and hanging clothes. The night was quiet, and while the night was always quiet for Naomi, this particular evening she felt hardly a vibration. A steady pulse of the water running underneath her in the pipes below, the pitter patter of tiny foot steps on the sidewalk as two children ran by her. The reverberations of their laughter gliding through the warm spring air. The regular stillness of it all was interrupted by two screeching thuds on the pavement blocks behind her, she could feel the roar of the sirens on her skin before the blue and red lights cast a silhouette of her as they passed by. The marked white and blue mustang that read Freedom City Police slowed down and veered right taking the next street up. It slowed to a stop out of sight and two heavy individuals got out and slammed their car doors. Without being able to see the situation on the street ahead of her, she could feel the wailing cries of a singular woman piercing the air and a slow hum of many people muttering, accompanied by the gruff tones of authorities and a whispering sense of foreboding that spread like a radial cloud from the center of the scene.
  8. Annie walked with Sharon following her and listening intently. Her ears perked up and she paid attention when Sharon asked about her divine-nature. “Yes I am an Arch Angel, but I was born here on earth so I don’t know what heaven is like.” She stated matter of factly trying to pre-empt certain criticisms. She was wary of Sharon, she wanted to be friends with her but Sharon struck Annie as a skeptic. Sharon’s second question caught Annie off-guard. “Uhm, no it’s not true. Sorry. I have a will and an identity. Sometimes God communicates with me, but I’m not an ‘impersonal em-an-ation’.” Annie twisted her face ever so slightly, a display signaling mild offense. She wanted to change the subject and quickly. “Where do your powers come from Sharon? Were you born a super-genius?” Annie kicked a pebble down the hill as they walked, the pebble bounced left and right erratically, all before falling off the sidewalk into the street and then into the mouth of a storm drain, which swallowed the pebble whole.
  9. ArchAngel is going to try and get into the DJ's head!
  10. She must be wearing something to protect her mind, or maybe she has a latent metahuman ability. Who is her father? I wonder if he received a similar threat from the ‘Troll’. ArchAngel pondered the situation, she did not like the fact that there were gunmen on the sidelines who were watching for trouble. She was afraid that some of these innocent kids would get hurt, this situation could get out of hand very quickly if the Troll made his move. What was the Troll’s game plan? He alerted everyone, the father, the two superheroes, he must know that there would be a response. Maybe he was planning on it. ArchAngel was standing in the crowd of dancing teens and flashing lights, her eyes went from watching the crowd to resting on the DJ. It was hard to get a good look at him, his was the last unusual mind in the room. Was he another Superhero in disguise? More security? Was he part of the threat? ArchAngel maneuvered through the dancing crowd to get closer to the DJ. She wanted be closer to him, if he was a threat she’d like the chance to put herself between him and the crowd. “Hyperactive, Miss Sands is being guarded by two bouncers. All of this security was hired by her father. I’m not picking up any mental activity from the DJ. Be on guard.” ArchAngel sent a telepathic message HyperActive’s way. When she got as close to the DJ as she reasonably could in the crowd, she put her hands up in the area with the rest of the partiers and began to hypnotically rise and fall to the music. Never taking her eyes off his elusive figure she proceeded to probe his mind, if it existed, for an identity.
  11. Wow, she’s strong. Annie nodded along with Casey’s concerns. Although the absurdity of what she said quickly sunk in, Annie was not used to Claremont students or their wide range of talents yet. “Wait! Did you say you have a pilots license? How did you get one of those? Aren’t you my age?” Annie asked a spitfire of questions dumbfounded, she was trying to wrap her head around Casey. She wished she would keep any other reasons why she was better than Annie to herself. When a snap of someone’s fingers caused her to turn around abruptly. “Uhm, That was rude!” She stated matter of factly at Naomi, her usual shyness cut away by abrupt irritation, she appeared exhausted and on edge. She then proceeded to read the notepad Naomi was holding up and turned a kind of reddish pink color. “Oh-my-god-I-am-so-sorry. I didn’t know you were deaf. Can you understand me?” She spoke with speed and shame, stumbling around her attempt to socialize with Naomi. It might be apparent to Naomi, that Annie had never spoken to a deaf person before. Annie took the stack of sheets from Jeremy Joseph, she looked down at them frustrated.
  12. ArchAngel is going to try and probe the mind of the woman who had the shimmering mind and had person bodyguards, looking to find out who she is.
